You receive these messages because someone in the network still uses old version of binaries. It doesn't affect your software work, so don't worry about that.
I am getting these messages on the daemon (linux binary). My Wallet is o.k. and I can turn the daemon miner on and off - however when I do a refresh I don't get any additional blocks. "Save" command is not needed anymore, now block chain is saved automatically. |

I got this when I try to sync: 2014-Aug-17 15:17:19.842795 [P2P3]Block <91e836cd2a9b30a32a3858f2f9162a3453a7d96747c3ef993c8c07a9a3e52d67> has wrong major version: 1, at height 546603 expected version is 2 Latest binaries. Mac OS X I tried to start from 0 (no blockchain) and I got the same error. That happens because there are some un-updated daemons in the network. These daemons send invalid data as they are of old version. There's nothing to be worried about. It doesn't affect the network and your daemons' and wallets' work. Bytecoin team will patch the daemons soon to edit logs and move these messages to a deeper log level so they won't bother you. |

As it was promised... USABILITY UPDATES EXPLAINEDBytecoin has introduced a number of usability updates in its latest release. Our team is working hard to provide you with the most convenient and reliable way to anonymously transfer your funds. Among the new features you may find the following: 1. Bytecoin team has further updated its unique blockchain storage. Based on this optimization, the daemon RAM consumption has been further decreased from 900 MB to 500 MB. Comparing to all other CryptoNote currencies where the whole blockchain is stored in the memory and may take up to several GBs, Bytecoin is much more accessible even on low-end computers and virtual servers. 2. Wallet refresh is now much faster due to the interaction protocol update and the synchronization with the daemon being performed in parallel threads. This update is most appealing to the new users, which have never refreshed their wallets before. The speed increase is roughly 100 times. 3. The default transaction fee has been reduced from 10 to 0.01 bytecoins, which made the transfers 1000 times cheaper. 4. Binaries was downloaded 10 minutes ago, wallet.bin file was erased, i repeat this procedure three times in a row, but still the same error. There are not much money in there, anyway  Provide us with daemon and wallet log, please! I have sent it to your gmail adress  You've created a lot of transactions. One of them was included to the block, but all others are in your local transaction pool now. Your wallet was synchronizes from scratch and it caused some problems with inputs. But there is nothing dangerous about it. What to do: you just have to wait for 24 hours. During this time all transactions will be included to the blocks or excluded from the transaction pool. To prevent other problems, please do not delete transaction pool file! |

Yes whole time balance arise slowly, but I am on 0 BCN. On the wallet state I have 14200 BCN...
Is everyone still having the issue with the new daemon? https://i.imgur.com/5CPR8gJ.pngI am still getting that on the pool and its making it really difficult. Eventually the payments go out but balances start to build up. This problem solution was already found. Now it's tested. Update will be done in 1-2 hours. |

If you ask me, you guys should much more use Monero exchange market on Poloniex as you do now. https://poloniex.com/exchange/xmr_bcnPrice of Bytecoin is so low, that valued in satoshi, it dont fully show. On Monero market you can set 300 times more precise deals. Someone should put this link in OP and should become main exchange. I believe people are free to choose what to do with their money by themselves. Voluntarism is the main thing about decentralized currency, isn't it? My goal is to inform people where to buy bytecoins. Nothing more. I'm not interested in making any of exchanges "main" or "additional" or... whatever. P.S. I may correct the link in OP to https://poloniex.com/ if community wants. |
