Wish the same. I guess they are already working on it as you are not the first and the only one who have the problem.

Indeed, better not to quote stupid comments and just ignore them otherwise it makes other feel that both  writers should be ignored.

Are there other software clients available apart from the official one, which are compatible to the network and blockchain?

I got this when I try to sync:
Quote
2014-Aug-17 15:17:19.842795 [P2P3]Block <91e836cd2a9b30a32a3858f2f9162a3453a7d96747c3ef993c8c07a9a3e52d67> has wrong major version: 1, at height 546603 expected version is 2
Latest binaries. Mac OS X
I tried to start from 0 (no blockchain) and I got the same error.

That happens because there are some un-updated daemons in the network. These daemons send invalid data as they are of old version.
There's nothing to be worried about.  It doesn't affect the network and your daemons' and wallets' work.

Bytecoin team will patch the daemons soon to edit logs and move these messages to a deeper log level so they won't bother you.

"Save" command is not needed anymore, now block chain is saved automatically.

burnbabyburn71, replying to all these hateful comments in the same manner will make all this shit last forever.
Don't know any better way than ignoring it.

In hindsight I should have kept my mouth shut, It was in the heat of the moment, I was really pissed off with these people. Sorry about that, next time I'll just ignore them. Anyways I've removed those comments from the thread.

It seems that there is someone out there with an enormous amount of hashing power.

This screencap is taken from Minergate.

So there is at least one person that controls more hashing power than the whole Bytecoin hashrate. This makes Bytecoin quite insecure to use at the moment (not to speak from the other low hashrate cryptonote alts).

Also since there is a pool with more than 51% hashrate, we are effectively using a central authority, not a decentralized network.
I would advice everyone hashing at bcn.extremepool.org to swap to a smaller pool for the good of the network.

I think I am right in saying that most of the Bytecoin owners are fully committed standing by the Devs and see Bytecoin as a long term interest and investment!  Smiley

I think I am right in saying that most of the Bytecoin owners are fully committed standing by the Devs and see Bytecoin as a long term interest and investment!  Smiley

What do you mean? It's holding value. You might confuse it with the coinmarketcap.com cap? CMC gets it's feed from from monerochain, which has its database wrong.

As you can see, the value per coin is the same.

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

Maybe the main reason for that is the few pools operating and lack of p2pool.
This is high centralized coin Sad
I was thinking on moving to this coin to test, but I better not.

Got my account back! It was hacked. Sorry about it :|
