61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tau-Chain and Agoras Official Thread: Generalized P2P Network on: July 24, 2016, 10:08:17 PM

How much btc did those tokens raised ,900 ?

Thanks.

yes, though they're not kept as btc but converted to fiat. since tau's beginning we got ~$250k

How that is possible? Even at a very discount price of 10 cent / agora that should be $750K at least.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: July 15, 2016, 08:52:36 PM
It seems that people are already receiving their XEL? Is this true? How does one redeem them from the bitcoin input?

Nobody received their XEL, just some people have transfered the ownership of their XEL.

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: July 15, 2016, 06:20:40 PM
First I will not explain again my logical and respectful reasons to want to get XEL from early buyers before to make a donation, it has already been explained and if some people cannot read my post or understand they better no post and anyway they don't deserve my time.

Besides I have spent some time to read the last half of this thread and I have some questions if Evil-Knievel and / or Lannister wishes to answer them.

Earlier "Dazza" was working with you and specifically on the computational side of the project, I would like to say the core of the project. Now it seems that Dazza has some personal issues and did not appear on btctalk since few months, so it seems possible that he will not contribute on this project anymore.

According to EK, dazza was a key element for this project, so I would like to know if even without Dazza both of you are still confident to be able to achieve this project ?

If I go to the website http://forum.elastic-project.org/ I cannot see any post and the forum is totally empty, like there is only the frontpage and no activity, the only articles are about wordpress.
Am I on the good website, do I need to register to see the activity?

A last question is about the donation collected, I would like to know how long time the devellopement of the project can be funded with the remaining BTC considering the value of BTC remain the same?

As I have written in the terms and conditions this project is developed with no guarantee of success, for legal reasons which i am sure everyone can appreciate. In the quoted post above you are asking for a clear commitment from those who contribute to the Elastic project. These people are spending their time and their resources to make Elastic happen and I'm fairly sure they will achieve an excellent outcome. But nobody will make any written promises which could constitute a significant legal burden if, after all, the outcome differs slightly from the estimate.

Frankly, please don't be swayed if others promise you everything you want to hear! You surely remember how they promised that the DAO will revolutionize the way corporations are funded? This promise did not last a month. From good examples we learn how to be, from bad examples we learn how not to be.

Thanks for your answer Lannister, I actually did not ask for a clear commitment from those who contribute to the Elastic project.

What I wanted to know was if right now the project is still achievable. It seems that you did not encounter any issue which have made the project totally unfeasible.

So the status of the feasibility of the project is still unknow but people working hard on it.

Conclusion I am still interested for a donation that I will do this evening in order to be involved in this project.

I wish you all the best to make this project happens.

If I red your posts correctly you wish to get a discount and after this you want to donate at the current rate and become a part of the project.
Did you buy already to current rates? I'm just asking without any offense  Smiley I'm a friendly guy.

I did not donate at current rate as I was waiting for another early donator to get his XEL, but he seems not interested anymore...

But anyway I will make donation at current rate for sure, I will try a tiny amount to check that everything is working fine then I will make a bigger one.

Hope that answer your question  Wink

I started a little donation yesterday just as a test.

Now I am waiting for EK / Lannister to answer my question if they can afford a little time for this in order to provide a much bigger donation.

I am expecting an honest answer from them, I guess I will get it as regarding their history in bitcointalk they don't really like  hype / greed and seem trustworthy.

After my donation I will try to expose my view on the economics behind XEL in order to contribute to the project as much as I can.

Not sure it will be helpfull but at least I will try to help Smiley

@Admiral bit

It is your right to think the price of IOTA is too high.

It is your right to warn people if you believe the price in uncorrelated with real value.

It is  NOT  right to spam the thread with your posts and flooding  all other potentially interesting info with your troll spamming.

In every thread there is one or few trolls, now we have Admiral bit, he deserves the title very well.

Hey 1st time you won a competition I guess? Congrats !

Hi Lannister,

First, thanks for the time spent in order to transfert the ownership of some accounts.

With the deal I have done with Jeremy, it seems that he has done everything right and on my side I sent the btc, so could you confirm the transfert of ownership is ok and definitive?

Now I have to apologize in advance because I would like your help again for another transfert of ownership from "TheDR", he is going to sign the same message as Jeremy with some of his accounts in order to give me the ownership of his XEL.

So could you tell me when everything is ok and I have the ownership of his XEL in order I can send him the btc? Is it ok if I use the same public key / address?

I don't want to use your time neither to pollute the thread with these transferts of ownership, so I declare that after the transfert from "TheDR" I will not accept any other deal but I will make a donation instead in order to help the project and be more involved.

As you have may noticed I am technically closer to a noob than an expert but I do understand the economics behind crypto, so I will try to help in this field later.

Hi lannister,

So for the deal with Jeremy everything seems clear on my side.

I just need your green light to send him 1.01 btc on his address 15Z5BggJhi1cgv4CV9TFGZ5WNbH7aF7hGf to  be able to transfert the ownership to my adress 1BexuDc3UUpMRuxE9YV6TqVWTv9dhEvucF

I need palawan to sign the following message and you are safe to send him whatever amount you like as soon as he makes his signature public. Please understand that this is no escrow service and I will not verify any payments.

I, the owner of address 15Z5BggJhi1cgv4CV9TFGZ5WNbH7aF7hGf with pubkey 0217e6fb61c54b5e8c9e81d99230bae79edb0430cbaa05f5d73382347f727d84b4, hereby agree to transfer my entire XEL holdings (7321,966975309) to pubkey 036755eb2c89cbfb4bf66e118f3ed166c17357c4163cf7c9c04d07cf3d81dddba6 which belongs to 1BexuDc3UUpMRuxE9YV6TqVWTv9dhEvucF. This transaction is irreversible.

Thank you, Lannister.  Much appreciated your assistance on this.

@marechoux, I can sign the message above easily but I do need the 1.001 btc sent first.  I have proven that I am the owner of the wallet address 15Z5BggJhi1cgv4CV9TFGZ5WNbH7aF7hGf  by signing a message earlier in the thread and by sending the .001 btc to your address.  The pubkey address 036755eb2c89cbfb4bf66e118f3ed166c17357c4163cf7c9c04d07cf3d81dddba6  above matches the one I sent to you in a PM  Smiley

[Just woke up...  LA time here.]

  -jeremy

ok I will send the btc within 2 hours

Okay I gave a PM saying I may be interested in giving up some of my position.
The ones with public key 04b8f31d62abd0d2e0b50cfd4a88861b86d698c29dd580fb03579e6b0e8baf17327d2d311d30f65 007e9c1a7aaef8dd24dc3f90a580b1bc42471e236977a933723 combine to over 14500 and I will not let it go for too cheap. suggested for that 2.33฿

I have answered the PM and in order to make it public, this offer makes around 6000 XEL / BTC which is slightly better than current rate of donation.

As I said previously I will make a donation anyway in few days and  I prefer to send more BTC to the donation adress in order to help the project than get a little discount with this kind of offer, however for a better rate considering 7500 XEL / BTC at least and depending the amount I still consider to get XEL from early donators.

video from aix presentation

Just to tell to the community that I was at Aix en Provence with 2 friends of mine to see Chris .

The conference which was just a little part of his trip to France was actually pretty short (less than 1 hour for 5-6 people speaking + questions from the audience) but Chris was present with good speaking.

After the conference we had the chance to have a private interview with Chris so we spent around 1 hour and half talking about bitland.

Chris was really nice, really motived and has a lot of faith in his project, he is pretty convincing as well.

His project appears solid to me and even if I cannot be sure this project will succeed, I am pretty sure he will do his best to achieve the succes of bitland.

To sum up, I cannot guarantee the  succes of bitland but the potential is huge and my trust in Chris and the project has increased a lot after our interview.

Hope this message may help the community to gain confidence toward bitland.

This is my address  16bjvG8VkxfNXFB6ZeGbsGC3QQrnZJe5bB (edit : there is an issue with this address thanks to wait few hours in order I update it.)

Edit 2 : that the good adress ==> 1BexuDc3UUpMRuxE9YV6TqVWTv9dhEvucF  or you can send a signed message to the donation address

Right now I have to go to work so you can send me the message signed but I will send you the bitcoin on adress 15Z5BggJhi1cgv4CV9TFGZ5WNbH7aF7hGf after work so at around 17: 00 UTC.

I amassed 20k xel on different wallets during 8000/btc era. I am happy to have them but glad to know it's possible to transfer them to another address even before end of donation phase too. I did not know that, neat!

p.s. I am heavily involved with Mineum might be good to incorporate Elastic in future operations there.

I can buy the amount you wish to leave at a rate of 8000 / BTC, if other people want to leave XEL I am still open to buy and anyway in few days I will make a donation.

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: July 04, 2016, 07:08:26 PM
Sorry for the mystery about your deleted post. Not sure what the deleted comment was, but some posts are automatically trashed if they use certain forbidden words like 'i*nvest' in their body or signatures.
The reason is because with your donation you MUST signify that you DO NOT see your donation as a speculative i*nvestment of any kind and that you just altruistically support the development of a cleverly inventive, ingenious system with uncertain outcome. And in reference to what I just wrote, this is not an IPO either.

I cannot escrow any funds without an appropriate money transmitting license, but when the seller signs a message using the address he used for his donation where he confirms the sale and entitles a new owner in the form of a public key, then I can insure you to change the corresponding record in the genesis block irrevocably.

Thanks for your answer Lannister, and indeed I guess I have used a banned word as my post got deleted almost instantly.

Totally agree with your behavior about the donation, I saw in so many projects devs spending hours everyday just to answer feared inv*estors, and regardless if the project is good or not there are always troll and feared people.

Anyway if nobody ask me to transfert his ownership I will make a donation in the next fex days.

If I am correct, to have a wallet on blockchain.info with my password safe is enough to claim my XEL when they will be available?

Per my post #935 ; I can transfer the own*ership of the pubkey donation below for 1 btc.  It's discounted (as the total is more than 1 btc) but I cannot change the number of XEL.

Yes, you're correct that the rise of the btc is one factor and I s*old many of my altcoin h*oldings to consolidate back to btc.  I'm only s*elling some of my XEL donation and not everything.

pubkey:   0217e6fb61c54b5e8c9e81d99230bae79edb0430cbaa05f5d73382347f727d84b4

1.   2,493.20 xel   .368 btc
2.   1,870.64 xel   .28  btc
3.   2,958.12 xel   .45  btc

Total   7,321.96 xel   1.098 btc

I am ok with this deal for 1 BTC;

So how do we proceed?

You send me 0.001 BTC to my adress from your wallet with public key 0217e6fb61c54b5e8c9e81d99230bae79edb0430cbaa05f5d73382347f727d84b4 to prove to lannister that you really own this wallet.

Then lannister send me the green light so I send you 1.001 BTC on your address related to your wallet with public key 0217e6fb61c54b5e8c9e81d99230bae79edb0430cbaa05f5d73382347f727d84b4.

When Lannister see that I have performed the transaction  he can transfert the ownership to me.

I am not really technical, so is this way ok without risk for any parties involved?

WTB XEL at rate 8000 XEL / BTC, I am open for discussion about the price.

I accept only if lannister is doing escrow and can insure me that I will have the full ownership of XEL with no risk of stealing from the seller.

PM me if interested

but why on forum?
you can buy it on "ico" site

I have tempted to answer but my post has been deleted.

Should I know the reason?

Anyway that's strange, I will try to answer again without any deleting;

So I have seen in the thread that some people wished to sell their XEL ( for reasons that I don't know, maybe increased price of BTC / some bills to pay / etc ...), so I am offering to buy back their XEL but at a better rate than current IPO price.

On my side I get more XEL  and on their side they can cash out.

I am just asking and if you are not intertested you can just don't pay attention to my offer, and if you are interested you just have to PM me.

Hi Tempus,

no i would be interested in an explanation how EC's are created out of factoms. With detail i did not mean super technical step by step like: "go to the Cli comand type in"... but more in procedural sense...

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but maybe this helps:

https://www.factom.com/howto/convert-factoids-to-entry-credits/
...........

Thanks for you trying to help but your did misunderstand me. This link i already read and its not what i am looking for Wink

In Core my question is this: If i buy Entry credits for 10 factoms how is then the decision made how many EC's i do get Is it a "fixed rate" like for 10 Factoms you always get 10000 credits or how is the mechanism to determine how many EC's one factom is worth?

read the whitepaper.

Hope it can help you
