61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New gold-backed cryptocurrency INNcoin allows you to mine gold for free on: November 01, 2014, 03:25:43 PM
Gold back Cryptocurrency eh? i've scouted the forums and posts here, i have yet to see what each coin is worth in gold, and how much gold does the owner have to share out?

Oops, let me read this website..

10 million coins to be mined/ Each coin is docked by 100,000th of a gram 10,000,000X 0.000001 = 10 grams. todays price for that 10 grams: 388.19 USD. TOTAL
If these coins become more value then the 10 grams its "Back" by, then is only a scam

wow, i have more then that from recycling gold off motherboards and a boredom killer..

all i can say is smells like a scam..

Hi. You just didn't read enough of the thread to get the whole story here. I already turned in 200k INN for 2 grams of gold in Anthem's vault, so definitely not a scam. The small amount of coins is due to this being a test run to see if there is enough interest for a larger coin amount in the near future. From what I was told by an Anthem rep when I turned in my INN coins, we will almost certainly see a bigger coin amount and possibly multiple gold, silver, etc. assets for coin backing.

My wallet still connects, but solo mining quit working for me. I am mining on the pool now to mine enough for a 3rd gram of gold.   Smiley

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New gold-backed cryptocurrency INNcoin allows you to mine gold for free on: October 18, 2014, 03:03:49 PM
Been done a bunch of times, always failed.

Here's the latest, something called MidasCoin:  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=784286.300

They say they'll give you a set amount of gold per coin no matter what.  On Bittrex the price is crashing.  To meet their promise they'd have to buy extra gold and send it to people for worthless MidasCoins.  Good luck with that.

Did you @ least  go to https://www.anthemvault.com/  ?  Just to see who they are ?  Wink

Gotta love the haters.   More coin for me.   All I know is the gold in my vault is increasing for less than the cost of each gram.   Hard to complain.  Grin  I can't wait to see what they do with the coins or what the next blockchain will be like if they just scrap this one.  When I transfered  the other day Josh at AV indicated they are working with some exchanges now.

Another friend is looking at BIG coin.   Which is using Gold, Silver and Copper as backing.  I haven't looked into it yet.  Though he has a couple Antminer S3s for his rigs.   I'm stuck with a GPU for now.

Exactly. More for the rest of us. I have 2 grams in their vault, and after speaking with a very helpful person there, I am happy to share that they are looking at a larger gold-backed coin effort in the near future. Not definite, but based upon the success of this one, it is quite likely.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] [COKE] Coca-Cola Coin on: October 10, 2014, 01:44:59 AM
did you get the copyright?
I did not ask for it. I dont really need it

Coca Cola's lawyers are going to wipe the courtroom floor with the shirt off of your back, dude..

The thing is that The Coca-Cola lawyers are not going to take notice of this. lLke most on this thread they dont think that it will generate enough money to be noticed enough, So they will not go after me. Once Coca-Cola will realize that this is not going to go away it will be to late. Coca-Cola will end up paying me to get the rights on this coin or to buy it as art. once this will happen each coin is going to worth a lot of money.

Have you gotten that cease and desist order yet?

The problem with this round is that both coins are POS only at this point, so if you didn't mine these coins back in the POW phase you have nothing to turn in.  I suggest for future rounds that you never have both POS. One POW and one POS, maybe?

I am so glad we can type things here in bitcointalk without a bunch of BS. I have been a member of IHub for 10 years, and I have never had a moderator just DELETE my posts because I call him/her out about their pumping of a stock. What a ridiculous abuse of power...

hello dev, I have a problem with the wallet, my son yesterday playing on the computer, I do not know what he has deleted my wallet combined with over 15 milion of ccb, how do I retrieve it?'ve never made a back up and I'm afraid have lost a month of work, I'm not an expert so if you can help me give me some simple info or tell me the steps I need to perform well

Look for this program "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Professional". Helped me Wink ... several times Embarrassed! Easy to use! But if you have a lot to it prepare a free day from your computer!
/But first make sure that it is not in Recycle Bin, or not to show hidden folders/

OMG.. I have CrashPlan, so at least if my wallet files get wiped, I can recover them from the backups.

I don't understand why I have such a hard time setting up my miner. I am using the suggested .bat file from the excl.minerpools pool, but I get the following error message when I start the miner: minerd: unknown algorithm -- ' t-'

The .bat file I am trying to use is: minerd -a -t 6 -s 4 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.minerpools.com:4705 -u exclusiveteam.Chris -p 1

What am I missing?

Thanks

The -a command (algorithm) is missing its option, so it thinks the -t is what you are feeding it.

Sorry to ask this again, Its just getting to the point that I have so many coins that if anything happened I would have just wasted all the time I put into this... Does anyone this the following message will affect the coins that I have mined and that are in my wallet - "Warning: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade"?>>>

I have not seen this either.  Is your wallet this version?  v0.8.6.5
Have you tried to stop mining, close the wallet and after a minute or two, restart the wallet to see if the error goes away?
NOTE:  You should definitely backup your wallet before trying anything.

I have no knowledge on making this happen for real...but how cool would it be if you could play a game like Ingress (which is already very much like a game form of Geo-caching), and yet when you capture things you get a payout in coin which you can also use in the real world to trade against bitcoin, etc.

Just a random thought...posted in a place where someone might actually take it and run.

If you actually make this...please feel free to share some of your mad profits with me for giving you the idea, cheers.

Please deposit here if you like this idea: 1KZeE1GU3ZBemiZAFBz81emgkeyusc3h8Z

I put this in the Technical forum...mainly because it would require someone technically inclined to do anything about it, if there is somewhere better I should post it, feel free to move it there.

If you outright steal the idea...at least give me a beta-test pass, lol.  (history of Ingress suggests Google stole the idea from someone else already).

Haha.. I am fairly new to the game, but am a crypto miner, so I had this idea too.  You beat me to it by months.  I would love to see this happen also, but I am not a coin developer either.

X11-x13 pool is offline.. coin are safe?

No news from pool's op so far...Please switch to another one

Some one is solo mining with a big hashrate, at the same time with pool offline

Solo mining hashrate was even higher for P-2...No need to be paranoid

I am solo mining and getting a block every 15 minutes on average.  Woo Hoo!
