61  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: July 23, 2015, 09:47:09 PM
I mined in the past and the address was not mine Sad

Do you mean that you mined BTC to address that wasn't yours? Is this even possible?
Or you probably mined some BTC and wanted to withdraw them, but you copied the wrong address, am I right?

You can try to gamble them, but I don't recommend it.. I would recommend you to invest it to the top-quality faucet website, so something original like freebitco.in, it's a nice long term investment Smiley

I didn't know you can invest on faucets..
how much can you earn from investing on faucets? is it comparable to investing on dice sites?

There is a very very low profit in faucets

I think you didn't get what I meant too.. please read my post above you, it explains everything..

if you are lazy like me, here we go:
"I didn't mean that he will invest in an existing faucet website, he can invest into design, rewards, advertising and stuff like this from his own faucet. Faucet can be really profitable for it's owner, I'm now working on my, it should be on FlyCoin.org when I have time for this Smiley"

65  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie PM warning on: July 23, 2015, 09:12:41 PM
This is a great update, but can we disable this? I'm really aware of any imposter, because I check the account twice when I do any type of a deal here. It's really annoying to see this message 5 times in a group conversation in PMs...

I think it is better to be 'annoyed' by those warnings, than be scammed by an impostor ... or am I wrong?

You are wrong, at least in my case.. Like I said I double check the account before any trade is made, same as the address and the signed message I get, it's kinda annoying for me, but yeah, I can live with it Smiley

so you rather get scammed by an impostor than being annoyed by some trivial things? or did you misread redsn0w's question?

OMG You are more annoying than the message, please read my post again. I double check every account, address and signed message I get, so I can't be scammed when doing a trade!

I read your post. but it doesn't exactly answer the post you're answering to.  Roll Eyes

I know, but it's hard to answer this question.. annoyed by the warning or be scammed by an impostor? Like I said, I can't be scammed if the account + private key isn't hacked, I always ask for a signed message.. and warning is really annoying, so I can't aster this question without lying, but if I must to answer it, I would that it's better to get annoyed by those warnings.. Smiley
66  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost 150 BTC from this address on: July 23, 2015, 09:10:02 PM
I'm really sorry for your loss, but never ever keep more than 1 BTC in one address! I have slightly lower amount than this and I have even 3x more addresses than BTC and if one of my private keys is hacked, I don't really care..

Altcoin section? Isn't it already the Peter Todd section? Tongue Nah, just joking. I think there's a lot of trolls in the altcoin section and someone should moderate it..

72  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a national currency? on: July 23, 2015, 08:15:12 PM
Bitcoin being used as a national currency would be a very interesting experiment. I think it would be interesting to see how it would affect everyday life living in a nation that exclusively uses Bitcoin. In my opinion, it would be useful and very cool if it were possible to go to an everyday grocery store and pay for your groceries with Bitcoin, instead of cash.

The people who are in oppose of bitcoins would surely die without food if this is the situation in the coming years where you can buy your stuff by paying bitcoins. And if it becomes mandatory even they have to buy anything using bitcoins.Even if they don't like it.

No they won't lol. When a country in EU had it's own currency and changed to €, people just came into their banks and exchanges and changed their currency for €, everything that wasn't changed for a new currency was worth nothing. The same thing can be done with BTC.

A hybrid of bitcoin and cash is still the ideal.

It would take a country with a pretty weak national currency to use BTC as official currency.  Just is a lot of variation in value, which is hard as far as a government based money.

Bitcoin will need to stabilize on a price before it really could be looked at for a countries currency.

Yes, this. And I really think that adoption of Bitcoin can help Greece a lot. It can solve some problems with economics, but there are also cons of this. I think that Bitcoin as it is now, wouldn't be good as a national currency, but maybe in the next 20 years? No one knows..
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: July 23, 2015, 08:11:43 PM
If you are a player that doesn't know when to stop, gambling will without any doubt wrek your life.
Gambling can become a dangerous addiction, but if played carefully and wiselly you can get great profit from it!

It is like drug or like coca cola for someone that is addicted by tthem and they can not stop their self.
They try but they can not. So it is and gambling.

No it's probably not like this.. people addicted to gambling are gambling from early in the morning to late at night without any break and they are in a huge loss. When you are addicted to Coca Cola you don't drink as they gamble.. it's something different, but I'm not saying that addiction to Coca Cola is better than addiction to gambling.
74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: July 23, 2015, 08:04:35 PM
After changing of strategy have some good luck today very good day on trading in alt coins now going for new way and creating account on Localbitcoins hope this will improve profit

trading on LBC can be profitable, but be careful, as some of the people you might deal with face-to-face can be shady; there was an incident a few weeks back where an LBC seller was robbed at gunpoint for his BTC. however, on LBC you can charge a nice premium to sell bitcoins, then just buy more on an exchange. keep doing that and youll see your bitcoin growing.

Of course it can be profitable, but there's a big base of established traders with a good reputation, so please buy from them rather than from new traders, it's hard to make a reputable account on LBC nowadays, and at this point I would like to recommend you buying LBC account here for BTC, search through Digital Goods Smiley
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for cold storage on: July 23, 2015, 08:00:07 PM
I am using Bitcoin Core Client for long time and never have any problem I feel its best and safest wallet for any one

Of course it's the safest wallet around here, because it's the ORIGINAL one! Tongue Also, I have to mention that it's not safe if your computer is likely infected with any type of malware, keylogger or anything like this. The safest "wallet" is probably TREZOR.
76  Economy / Gambling / Re: [FREE]Primedice Calculator ~ Calculate your odds ~ Level up your game ! on: July 23, 2015, 07:48:22 PM
What is EV? Can anyone explain it to a newbie in this type of business here? I would be really happy if someone could link me to some sites where is this explained and easy said.

EV is expected value. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expected_value

example, since primedice has an edge of 1%, the EV is negative, and over the course of a large number of straight rolls (lets say, a million) you would be expected to have 99% of the bankroll that you started with.

Doesn't this make the casino unfair? I think that if there's this, we can't win in a long run, right?

78  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin really save Greece? on: July 23, 2015, 07:25:54 PM
They can use their money to buy bitcoin which will save them

Yes, you can use your money to buy bitcoins, but after? if the work is inesistnte you don't have access to new money, it's like a dog chasing its tail

But you have access to your money and you can spend them, if there's a lot of people in Greece with BTC, they can just made a pure BTC shop, restaurant and more... That's how it works Smiley
