I think this topic might help: [RESOURCES] Free bitcoin/blockchain/finance eBook.

But if you just want to explore some application of blockchain then taking a look at this article is enough: 25 Blockchain Applications & Use Cases You Should Know. 64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [EXAMPLE] Why Maker and Taker fee is very important for Traders and Investors on: January 05, 2021, 05:32:53 AM
The topic is not about taker or maker fee but about which exchange should you use. At least, I would choose a more reliable exchange than LUNO. Besides, when it comes to taker/maker fees, you can easily find comparisons between various exchanges. Below is an example. Though it's not really updated but it still helps to determine which exchange is lower, which is higher.

I am wondering if it is better to buy altcoin and convert it to bitcoin later.
Yes you can and it's the better way when you have low capital. You can choose between ETH, LTC or even TRX for high speed transactions. Some exchange, for example Binance doesn't require any minumum deposit but does requires minimum trade value (0.001 BTC). If your capital in bitcoin is less than that amount then you can't make any trades. But buying altcoins instead enables you to sell if you find the prices juicy.

- I found that 150x200 size as bullrun2020bro's suggestion is perfect for display. You should fix the size at the very first stage to have equally sized images.
- Many accounts have high post counts but with 0 or very low merits. These kind of accounts are generally called "spammers". Are they worth mentioning in this topic?
67  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance web view overwhelming on: November 23, 2020, 03:13:53 PM
I'm just looking for some reassurance that many people just use the basic functionality of buy and sell without utilising all that complex stuff.
You got it. I barely use Binance web to buy or sell. The last time I logged in via web was 3 or 4 months ago. Most of my orders are carried out via Binance app, even before that, I had to take a look on so TAs, using https://www.tradingview.com/. I know Tradingview is also integrated in Binance web but I just use Tradingview on its own web like a habit.

71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips to overcome fear crypto investment and reason to invest for newbies on: November 10, 2020, 08:14:53 AM
4. Invest only money that you can afford to lose.
Never be afraid to invest but never also compromised the priorities you have in your life especially if you are a breadwinner in the family.
In terms of overcome fear, I think this is the most useful tip. I started off my crypto trading journey with USD 300 and the thought that I could lose all that amount of money in exchange for experience. Now even I'm not really a pro trader, but I'm not afraid to buy when I think the prices are good and cut loss when necessary. Another tip that I learned during my journey is that withdraw your capital if you're already profited and continue investing on your profit. When your original capital is in safe place, you will have no hesitance buying on your profit.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTO Coin Technical Analysis 120 % profit on: November 07, 2020, 05:31:37 PM
Nice analysis. Such a solid support on 1D chart. However, LTO's volume isn't impressive lately, if not low. In the past, there were a couple of times I earned from this coin. But I almost forgot it until seeing your topic. It sounds like I will keep an eye on this coin again and hopefully history will repeat.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: when is the right time to buy cryptocurrency? on: November 07, 2020, 05:00:53 PM
4. buy when the price starts to increase (pump);
From the standpoint of a trader, this is the most likely the right time to buy cryptocurrency. But market isn't that easy. There are always fake pumps. Even when you buy at the right pump, you still need to know when to sell. Your post is mostly about Fundamental analysis and that way, you are always the follower. Just remember this: "Buy the rumors, sell the news".

3. buy when the project has a good news;
74  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden can influence bitcoin on: November 07, 2020, 04:30:14 PM
whole world wants joe biden to sell america and americans for their stupid gains, thats why they hate and insult/attack trump as racist etc.
Not really. At least in my country, people wholeheartedly support Trump. Not because of what he can give us but because he can kick China's ass. Turns out, American people are in favour of Biden or they hate Trump so much that they vote for Biden. I'm not sure he's gonna sell America but he'll sell Taiwan, a territory that Trump wants to protect.
75  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Denmark government killing 15 million minks due to coronavirus (goodbye minks) on: November 06, 2020, 05:25:07 PM
Yes this is so sad. 15 million mink?  This would be an incredible massacre.  There must be another way of controlling this.  Denmark should not attempt such a massacre out of sight.
I knew that there would be such comments like this. It was a tough choice but I think Demark government did the right thing. Now that everybody clearly knows the severe consequences of Corona virus pandemic. Yielding to Coronavirus is to put your beloved people's lives in danger. Cut the sentiment and be decisive.
76  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why is the US election vote going so slowly? on: November 06, 2020, 02:42:43 AM
Can anyone explain why results on CNN and Foxnews differ? Biden's vote count on CNN is 253 and on Foxnews is 264. Some of my local news publishers say that there was some kind of fraud with Biden's votes: mistyping, dead people's votes... I am really interested in this election because Trump or Biden's policies affect a lot to our country in particular and in East/South East Asia in general.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My suggestion for new projects team who want to promote their projects on: November 05, 2020, 12:15:21 PM
3. Go for strong exchanges with no fake volume
This is the most important thing but unfortunately, it's the most difficult. Listing on big exchanges results in a lot of fee and obviously, no projct wants to spend a lot of money for that. Finance is always a problem with new projects. If a project is financially strong, they don't even need a bounty to promote.

Thanks a lot TopT3ns, now I am 1 merit away from being member  Grin.
And can you explain what is authentication messages?
You are very likely to be able to rank up to Member with Ratimov's help: [Merit] Help newbies and those who have a little left to the next rank.

Authentication message is just a proof to prove that you are human or your post wasn't made by bots. Sometimes, a bounty topic requires authentication messages as a way to bump that topic in order to get attention.
79  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Huawei and China on: November 02, 2020, 07:54:17 AM
~snip~
This is the reason why USA has banned TikTok as it's a Chinese app and the same thing about products that are gathering data of their users which shall be given to the government if they ask. There are a lot of American users of TikTok and they see it as a threat for the data privacy of their citizens.

And the same thing as China, they've banned for a long time US based apps like Facebook. These two countries will always overcome each other in terms of everything that includes supremacy in one market or economy.

I was wondering why are those countries are getting to each other nerve by blocking their two most famous social media in their countries. So this is the main reason? because of data privacy. These two countries are scary in terms of strategy they always got some idea on how to fool people without knowing it. China has known this thing from the start that's why they blocked Facebook from their country. Now that TikTok has been blocked by the USA as well, they will find another strategy to gather data from. A distraction in entertainment clothing, what a clever idea.
Not exactly. On one hand, China banned Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram and whatever huge social platforms on mainland (from very long time ago) to push its domestics companies. This is considered an act of Protectionism. In fact, with population of approx 1.5 billion, it's easy for Chinese companies to develop and live well: Weibo, WeChat, QQ, Baidu...etc. On the other hand, prohibiting citizens from accessing outer sources of news or cultures let Chinese government control its country with ease: no act of provocation, no toxic culture to breach into...

The US' ban on Tiktok is another story. Data privacy is just part of the reason. Tiktok's rise poses a lot of threats on US social platforms, especially Youtube. Hitting on Tiktok not only frees Youtube from pressure but also weakens China's economy (somehow) and influence.
