I wish it were true. That would be great for Bitcoin and the whole blockchain ecosystem!

Word of the segwit implementation seems to be spreading.

Anyways both of these projects are great and going to make lot of money in a year or two.
I agree, both of these coins are flying under the radar, but are growing real everyday users. Which is something 99% of cryptos are not doing. The market will recognize that soon.

I did not say Artbyte VS Musicoin because I think both are good projects. But they do compete in one market, music sales for digital currency. Actually, I think musicians should list their music on both. But now with artbyte's roll out of segwit (which gives them access to Lighting & Mast), artbyte will be able to do smart contracts on it's own blockchain like musicoin does on ethereum. I think from an investment standpoint, both are good. But I give the edge to Artbyte. What do you think? I have been a fan of Feather coin from its beginning, but have lost track of it. I will take a look.

probably not because this coin has such low amount of transaction, if it has segwit or not, no effect at all
in other words just a marketing gimmick trying to pump the price
I have to disagree, if any coin has a real use for SegWit it is Artbyte. Their Roadmap states that deploying SegWit will give them the ability for smart contracts on the ArtByte blockchain (using Lightning network and MAST). This allows artbyte to divide artists income according to rights holders, like musicians. Which is what Musicoin is doing on the ethereum network. But artbyte will be doing smart contracts for all types of artists when they sell their work.

If ETH can keep from releasing code with vulnerabilities as they roll out new features, they can keep their lead. But if not they will fall. Investors are getting tired of hearing about multi-million dollar hacks.

I think it is a given that in the US, the SEC will be involved. That is a good thing for crypto in my opinion. There were entirely too man scams. This will weed them out.

Septemebr is tomorrow, so it won't be long now. Will artbyte implement the lightning network, smart contracts, anonymous transactions, etc. immediately?
The enablement of segwit on the artbyte live blockchain has begun. Artbyte mined its first segwit enabled block on the live blockchain yesterday. So the process has started. See this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2189961.msg21983568#msg21983568

From ArtByte's Forum: " We have mined the first block with SegWit enabled. You can see it on the ArtByte explorer. Look at the block version number, it ends in 915 which is signalling SegWit and CSV. Neither is active but the pool miner is voting for it to be enabled on the network, when we get to 8,064/10,080 blocks signaling support for both Version Bit forks it will be locked in, another two weeks and it will be active." http://forum.artbyte.me/topic/5448-deployment-of-segwit-has-begun-on-the-live-artbyte-blockchain/

Very nice Reddit promotion. I like the structure of it and the rewards.

I was rebuilding an old PC and found some ETH that I mined way back with a geth wallet. Anyone know how to send it to a new wallet, like one of the exchanges?

Today, Coindesk ran an article titled, "SegWit Goes Live: Why Bitcoin's Big Upgrade Is a Blockchain Game-Changer". Article hereThe article explained how SegWit brings "game-changing" changes to the bitcoin. SegWit will bring these game-changing features to Artbyte as well.
These same features listed in the article apply to Artbyte. From the article: Here are the key things that SegWit enables: - It rearranges how data is stored in bitcoin blocks. - It boosts capacity while remaining compatible with past versions of the software. - It removes transaction malleability, a bug that's been the primary roadblock for many bitcoin projects... But the biggest impact is the new technologies SegWit gives access to.SegWit will boost the development of more forward-looking technologies necessary for bitcoin's mainstream use...
The Lightning Network... and MAST (which enables more complex bitcoin smart contracts), schnorr signatures (which would enable another transaction capacity boost) and TumbleBit (an anonymous top-layer network). These new technologies, will allow Artbyte to use smart contracts for dividing musician & artists income among various rights holders. Currently this is only available for musicians on some music focused alts running on the Ethereum network. ArtByte will bring it to all types of artists: actors, dancers, writers, painters, photographers, etc. Yes, SegWit implementation will be huge for Artbyte!

I joined. Everything worked fine for me.

Very nice work devs! Keep it up

Both projects are good, but from an investment perspective, I prefer ArtByte. They serve the whole art market, not just musicians. ArtByte supports painters, sculptors, actors, dancers, film makers, writers, photographers, etc. I like the simplicity of their music platform. Musicians can easily understand it. http://music.artbyte.me/

There is no double segwit. The 2x in the name refers to a fork later this year.
