61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% FREE 100% guaranteed gambling strategy 100% no-loss ever on: November 29, 2019, 07:53:53 PM
Your words and your signature does not match. If you think that gambling will lose money, think of how many people will lose their money when they play gambling while clicking on the your signature link. If you think gambling is too much bad then you should first quit gambling and the gambling signatures before giving advice to others.

I thought I made it clear but here it is again: there is nothing wrong with responsible gambling. As far as I'm aware most reputable gambling sites are not promising to make you money. But if you think you can make money in gambling you should not gamble (this is a general "you", not directed at you personally).
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / 100% FREE 100% guaranteed gambling strategy 100% no-loss ever on: November 29, 2019, 07:10:21 PM
100% FREE 100% guaranteed gambling strategy 100% no-loss ever:

Don't gamble.

That's it. You'll never have a losing bet if you don't gamble.

At this point you may feel cheated by the title of this thread, and wondering why this is in Gambling Discussion, and perhaps why I'm wearing a signature of a gambling site if I'm advocating for not gambling. Except I'm not really advocating that, just saying that if you don't want to lose you shouldn't gamble. Feel free to gamble if you accept the fact that you are going to lose. Gambling is entertainment and like many other forms of entertainment it costs money and can be addictive.

I'm appalled at the number of threads in this board and other gambling-related boards that are full of people either directly discussing scripts and strategies, or indirectly alluding to the existance of possibly winning strategies, particularly in luck-based games like dice. There is no such thing. You can't win against an RNG. You will eventually lose and your loss is likely to be much bigger if you don't start with the right expectation.

I'm guessing this is in large part due to a generally low level of knowledge about how gambling (and particularly online gambling) works. At the time of my first encounter with Bitcoin gambling (Satoshi Mines) I was also quite ignorant but it took me ~10 minutes to figure out the probabilities. I'm still mystified why some people don't want to learn how gambling works and at the same time are willing to put a lot of money on their wrong assumptions. Let me know what you think.

(edited to repeat the thread title inside the post so that it would be clear why and when I'm saying you shouldn't gamble).
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 100% guaranteed no loosing sport betting method on: November 29, 2019, 06:37:03 PM
The OP is asking people to join his syndicates (to gamble, not for rebates) so that's I guess how he's hoping to make the captain rebates flowing:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5200308

I still haven't seen a credible explanation why he needs other people to share his "100% guaranteed" method tho... the amounts he's mentioned are tiny (a few hundred pounds) so he could just bankroll it himself and get rich without sharing it with anybody.
64  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Core Refference Wallet HD? on: November 29, 2019, 05:24:57 PM
Yes, Bitcoin Core wallet is HD since 0.14 (?) but you still might want to make regular backups since the wallet can have private keys outside of the derivation path (e.g. imported via importprivkey).
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best (PoS) Staking Coins for 2020 [Rewards, Staking Process, ROI] on: November 29, 2019, 02:33:14 AM
Since all the hype of Ethereum 2.0 has got people looking into staking as a viable method to earn passive income, I created a blog post to outline the top 5 staking coins for the upcoming year.

Staking is not a viable method to earn passive income. At best it's just a way to keep up with the self-inflicted inflation of POS coins. Obviously if you already hold the bags you might as well stake them but to buy coins just for staking is a fool's errand.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain-based Elections? on: November 29, 2019, 02:15:59 AM
With the advent of smart contracts, it's possible to create decentralized applications which allow people to vote on candidates of their choice. The censorship-resistant and decentralized nature of Blockchain technology, makes voting online practical like never before. After all, it's nearly impossible to rig results in Blockchain-based elections.

There is no need for a blockchain for elections. All we need is an ID with a private key that we can use to sign our votes and a way for each of us to verify our own vote. Some sort of Merkle tree solution can probably be used but I'm not an expert.

Blockchain ideas are too overused for stuff that doesn't require a public distributed ledger.  I don't need to know how my neighbor voted. We don't need the voting database to be distributed in a very expensive and inefficient way. All we need is to make sure that our votes are counted properly.

A cryptographic ID can help solve some other problems (illegal voting) but may create some new problems (ease of use) so it's not a miracle solution to everything.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥 Coinbees is Recruiting 🔥 on: November 29, 2019, 01:57:37 AM
I think the OP is trying to announce their token here which is probably against the rules. Crossposted on two boards.

The project itself is dodgy as others said. Baseless claims, aiming for a lot of money, no proof that they can do what they're promising.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done to experiment to determine percentage of winning? on: November 29, 2019, 01:49:04 AM
Meaning to say that you are going to risk and consider your faith when betting? It is just quite better if we could have a basis of betting. Because I've read here before that there are people who bet only once per day because they said its effective, and the chances of winning is quite higher. In this regard, if there are holes in the patterns of winning then we could take advantage of it.

There are no patterns like that. In luck-based games there is nothing you can do to change the outcome. In skill-based games you shouldn't be looking for patterns but to develop your skills.
69  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 28, 2019, 06:07:56 PM
Do you want to say that losing 50 times by 3 then about the same times of 4 in the auto is this normal? I just had to notice in time that the script stopped and quickly managed to make a bet in 4 seconds before the start of the next round?

Can you explain in detail what you're complaining about? Sometimes it sounds like you're saying your script was stopped by the site, sometimes it sounds like your script stopped because it hit your own condition of too many losses. Nobody can help you if you can't explain the problem.
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: FUDsters become active when the price goes down - learn to spot them on: November 28, 2019, 04:19:00 PM
I think "FUD" (and "hater" and some other dismissive words) is something we use when we lack the will to ignore the trolls but then run out of steam arguing with them. They have opinions and if we start judging what those opinions are motivated by, we are not much better than them.

"FUD" is way overused in the altcoin threads when someone starts asking questions or criticizing the project they're very quickly labelled as fudsters and dismissed. This kind of attitude almost makes me think of fudster as a badge of honor. It usually means (as long as you were not trolling) that you brought something up that no one was able to refute in a calm and reasonable manner and/or the project is probably dodgy in some way.

By the way, I think tagging negative trust for FUD is abuse of the trust system and should not be mentioned as a way to spot FUD. It's a way to spot trust abusers.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: November 28, 2019, 06:08:47 AM
I would suggest selling those altcoins that are being pumped, cause in this way you will get something valuable at least. It would be very sad if you sell something and this coin will be pumped in a month or two. But the reversal situation also may happen, heh Smiley

Right. You can't win with that strategy if you're not the one doing the P&D. It's a gamble and chances of guessing correctly which altcoins to hold are far worse than rolling a dice.
72  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for American citizen/resident - you apply for a job and I do it. 10/90. on: November 27, 2019, 09:39:44 PM
You're paying 10% for someone to take all the legal risks and possibly break the law? Taxes alone would be probably a lot more than 10%. The right way to do it is to find an outsourcing business willing to hire you and do it legally.
73  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammed by 999dice on: November 27, 2019, 08:32:50 PM
It's weird that they're accusing the OP of double spending. The TX has been confirmed. The deposit address doesn't have any other deposits coming to it. Even if there was a double spend attempt the site should just refuse to credit the deposit. Most sites don't allow zero confirmation deposits or allow only some limited cases for example high fee non RBF TX. Accusing of double spend after the customer has won and is trying to withdraw sounds very scammy indeed.

I guess that maybe the transaction was not yet confirmed when the chat person looked at it.

Deposit 18:20
Confirmation 18:33
Withdrawal 18:37
(current time in my tz, same as OP screenshots, is ~20:30 so it all happened within the last couple of hours)

Chat screenshot doesn't have timestamps. It obviously happened after the withdrawal request so after the confirmation too, but maybe the person was looking at a slightly delayed block info and didn't see it yet. Or they just looked at the very quick sequence of events (17 minutes between deposit and withdrawal) and found it suspicious.
74  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 27, 2019, 06:00:59 PM
If nothing change, I will just move to another gambling site without this nonsense.  Angry

Or you can just close the chat. If you come to gamble it's a great site and you don't need the trollbox.

I mean I don't really disagree that bustabit could afford to moderate the chat and it might be good business to maintain some decorum on the site but even with moderation some stuff will slip through. You're not making a good argument, it's not about children.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are crypto casinos/dice houses not caring about multiple accounts. on: November 27, 2019, 01:57:27 PM
You can't really abuse dice or other luck-based games with multiple accounts. Sites that don't allow multiple accounts usually do it because of faucet abuse or some other reason that's not related to gambling. To me that sounds like a made up problem. I prefer sites that don't require registration, just give me a random ID and let me play.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ETHFlash.io - ETH faucet ⚡️ 100 ETH Airdrop ⚡️ 15000 Gwei every 5 min ⚡️ on: November 27, 2019, 01:50:49 PM
Are altcoin ponzis even allowed on this board?

Calling it a faucet doesn't make it any more legitimate. Good job that you posted on the correct board you don't have 100 ETH and your "free plan" will never reach the withdrawal minimum so you're just trying to get people to deposit.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: November 27, 2019, 01:28:16 AM
not entirely bad if determined for the desired period of time, diversification is very effective for balancing assets, not all altcoins have the same trend so that they can cover each other's losses and profits. the most important thing is how wise the strategy is done. profit quantity (alt) often defeats the profit quality logic (btc)

Altcoins are heavily correlated and it doesn't make sense to diversify between them. If you insist on holding alcoins, pick a couple of the most liquid ones and stick with them. Everything else is a very risky gamble and we shouldn't even be using investment terms like "diversification" in that context.
78  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 27, 2019, 01:12:00 AM
I sometimes play/gamble on these sites with small kids running around in the house

Don't we all. I always take my kids when I go to my local casino but the management there also doesn't want to accommodate my family by removing scantily-clad women and alcohol from the premises. They should have an officially posted age restriction or something.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: November 26, 2019, 12:33:02 PM
It is necessary to divide your portfolio into a large number of altcoins and something from it will certainly grow.

That's actually the wrong strategy. You can lose more money by diversifying your investments this way. Read this thread for more details about altcoin diversification and why it's a bad idea: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5199926
80  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 25, 2019, 09:08:31 PM
I was on road to catch high bust but my script (and others on the site) was stoped right before it.

https://i.imgur.com/Kb3XDzZ.png

Daniel, will you compensate this?

You've been arguing with everyone here that your script can win despite the randomness of the game. Are you now asking for a compensation for losing bets?  Cheesy
