61  Economy / Economics / Re: How DCA Could Have Prevented Your from Losing More on: May 23, 2022, 04:27:22 PM
Brother trust me in a bear market all of your liquidity will be drained if you do DCA. I know this because I have done it. Every month price of my project making new lower low and I can not do anything but put more money into it. Actually, I am trapped with those projects. So it will be best to wait for most of the major coins to dump over 80% from their ATH after a bull season and then start accumulating coins.

Say you actually DCA for some time, but don't want to do it in a bear market. How do you know where the bear market starts and where it ends? Take the last 12 months. The price went to 60k and down to 30k. Was that a bear market, a place where you should stop DCA? Actually no, although we were down 50%. Then we went up again and down to 40k. Was that the beginning of a bear market? Many traders argue that it was, but we were still higher than the lows of 2021, where buying was actually the right thing to do.

My opinion is that it's so hard to predict whether it's a bear or bull market with bitcoin that it's better to either DCA or wait for 50% drops to start buying and then either hold as long as you can or start slowly selling when you're up 50% and keep going the same exact way that you'd accumulate with the DCA method, just the other way round, selling 10% of your holdings every month until it crashes again.

I have already mentioned in my first post how to identify one. In a bear market price of most coins will gradually create a lower low. Yes, you could see some recovery after every crash but it will crash repeatedly. This is how a bear market reacts. It is not that hard to identify a bull or bear market and in every bear market, most of the coin prices went below 80% of their ATH. You can check that by yourself.

Meanwhile, according to JPMorgan, the Russian economy did not justify the hopes of the West - it did not collapse. Grin

They put sanctions and at the same time keep buying gas and oil from Russia. Is that a joke bro! If you want to destroy someone's economy at the same time you can not stop his stream of revenue then why do you put sanction in the first place. I think west has gone mad and they do not know how to get out of this situation. Putin really played a mind game.
I totally agree with your opinion, your review is very reasonable, Putin really racked the brains of European countries, after European countries imposed sanctions on Russia, but European countries actually bought gas and oil from Russia, it seems European countries can't control Putin, instead On the other hand, Putin made European countries feel the impact of sanctions imposed on Russia, really like a joke.
Very right. Lol - all the European countries are putting bans on Russia and hence they are dependent of Russia for the oil and gas supply.
What a joke. Now what if Russia puts sanctions on all of them. The war will be over soon - but the after affects will be everlasting!

I do not think Russia's sanctions will be effective and Putin has any plan to do that. After all, this has been done by Putin to secure his gas and oil business with European countries. A large portion of russias's economy is dependent on this source of income. This was a bet for Russia which seems to be the right choice for them but if they lose this war they will lose everything.
64  Economy / Economics / Re: Using plants as a savings account on: May 22, 2022, 02:06:19 PM
After reading OP I find out some problems with this idea. There is no doubt that planting tree for the long term is a good idea but commodities are better than this.

1. What if you need money urgently after a few years? The plant requires a lot of time and care to become a valuable asset. In this case, your gold or silver saving is a better option.

2. Plant needs money to be taken good care of. You need to water them and give them necessary medicine to grow but commodity like gold and silver only requires a place where they will be safe.

3. Your plant could be affected by a natural disaster which will not be in the case of a physical commodity.

Though I like to keep my savings in physical commodities but planting trees with some money is also preferable.

BTC
Everyone will be wondering why 1.5% of the world economy affects the whole world? Smiley
Or can you answer this question yourself? Why are the US and Europe blaming a country with such a small GDP and a tattered economy for skyrocketing prices and the threat of a global food crisis? Grin

Maybe Biden could answer this question. Grin West treats Russia as a place of barbaric and warmongering people who even fight with each other for food.

It is not just sanction that will affecting them because we knew that it is very early to expect the result , but this will all matter in time .
when the war ended and they need to extend their businesses and economy , then that time they will face all this consequences .

What more do you want them to face than sanction? West already tried to cut off Russia from the rest of the world from trade. Isn't that the ultimate punishment for a country? This war can be ended if Russia wins or lose it. There is no other way.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: The end of the Pay to Play hype? on: May 19, 2022, 04:46:10 AM
99% of the P2E project was some classic model game that can be played by anyone. The actual game is very easy to play which makes those attractive for that player who will only play for money but at the same time team made them hard for free players by giving extra power to the paid player by adding the so-called NFT or items to the game. It's for sure those developers just want to make more money like a ponzi scam where only a few people win.

The initial Axie Infinity game model was dumb as hell and could literally be played by our grandparents and they would still earn tokens. After a while, they did update the game whereas only players with a minimum MMR ranking could earn tokens (which can actually be pretty tough to play, as I've played it myself). It was a needed update, but it was too late — the death spiral was already ongoing as there was too much heavy over-supply of the earned tokens.

A gaming ecosystem that can only increase supply in the circulation and has no system in place to burn them has no future financially. It's up to those whales for how long they are going to hold it. I did not play Axie Infinity but I do play some other games similar to this. In those games, i saw how my skill was totally useless against some players who have paid character with them.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: The end of the Pay to Play hype? on: May 18, 2022, 12:25:46 PM
It can really still work — assuming an actual competitive game studio manages to create a game that's actually fun to play. There just needs to be a decent balance between players who play for fun, and 'players' who just 'play' solely to farm the game. Current existing "P2E" games fail because only like 1% play for fun while 99% just farm the game to death.

But then again, are gaming studios even incentivized to have free trade in their game (regardless if using tokens or not)? Mostly not. There's more money in making the game items/skins untradable (e.g. Valorant, Fortnite, etc).

I am also a former gamer so I know how attractive it is to play a multiplayer RPG or Shooting game. Those are highly competitive so if some popular gaming studio tokenized their industry then it will be highly attractive for gamers.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices looking bullish but we need one thing just on: May 18, 2022, 12:18:58 PM
Food prices are bullish prices soaring but not to waste good bull run we need coins like:
Potato wheat corn ....and exetra...so if you hold that coin and price goes up you earn nice profit.

Also its good that food prices going up as im investor of food futures so at least i earn yield of high food prices but i hope there will be coins begged to wheat or other foods

Is that only me or there are others who have a hard time understanding what you are saying sometimes!

I see you are talking about crypto that is related to food production. I have already seen some projects like these but those were mostly related to food supply chain distribution not to direct production. Those were highly unsuccessful attempts to tokenize agricultural sectors but I am sure if you research enough then you will find some project that still exists.
69  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Russia isn't using it's full force in Ukraine ? tactically .. on: May 18, 2022, 12:13:53 PM
*Russia is actually helping Ukraine to win the war against what some would call globalists. She is not attacking nor fighting against Ukraine.

In regards to the topic, ofcourse, Russia made a mistake with that withdrawal. It wasn't ordered by the ONE who sent her to the battle.

Plus Russia was slowed down due to innocent civilians/people. Satan realized this and took advantage of it by using people as human shield to make things more difficult for Russia. But that problem can easily be solved.

So you are saying Russian withdrawal was not commanded by Putin? I did not understand how Russia is helping Ukraine to win the war? Aren't they fighting against each other? I know behind Ukraine is mostly NATO or we can say the USA but your statement about Russians helping Ukrainian didn't go in my head.

What I can see is that Russia withdraw in a good order and their first wave of attack was uncoordinated which lead to massive casualties. Now they are focusing their troops mostly on the Donbas region.
70  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: May 17, 2022, 04:05:02 PM
Your post reminds me of the current situation in my country. Oil prices in hear spike 3X within a month. Other food prices also spike a little bit but it is not bad like a European country. It seems the impact of the war is spreading all over the world. Many economists in my country warn about a massive food crisis in the coming days.

When we are talking about the problems that the world is facing because of the war between Russia and Ukraine we can take a pause and examine the threats Russia made recently about Finland joining NATO in the future suggesting a nuclear war soon. The world will crumble if that happens and the only thing left would be good produce rightly which would only prevail in countries which are tropical and have extensive farming like India but that would be so sudden that most of them might not even have a chance to stop exports and focus internally and that is exactly why China is preparing for the worst.

Yes, i have heard the news too. Russia deployed the Iskander missile system on the border of Finland whose range is around 500KM. We know Putin's threat is not a child's words. His warning could treat as his course of action. I really hope the war will not break out in Finland though the chance is very high.
71  Economy / Economics / Re: A decision to make on: May 17, 2022, 03:52:38 PM
Would you rather buy a house to live in or rent an apartment to invest in bitcoin  Since bitcoin is experiencing bear what decision will you take make use of the season or let it pass.

When we are predicting something in the future then there is always someplace of uncertainty in it. We have seen how BTC grows over the past decades and expect the same in the future. But there are countless possibilities of a negative and positive outcomes from the crypto market. May be world makes BTC a reserve currency or everybody abandons it and its value goes to zero. You can not deny any possibilities because we do not know actually what is going to happen.

The wise choice always would be to invest only savings or extra money in crypto space and always DCA in a bear market.

74  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Stay away and avoid all bounties! on: May 11, 2022, 02:36:49 AM
99% of all bounties are wasting a time for both sides, hunters and owners.
About bounty worthless, I would rather say that it is due to the poor quality of the project itself. on top of all that the whole project starts without start-up capital or with a very small amount, no wonder the prizes are worthless.

I have seen very few projects that run their bounties in BTT and go top in CMC and do something really amazing. I can still remember some big token name that held bounties in the forum. DIA, CARTS, Radix, and Injective Protocol are some of them. There could be more but I can remember only these projects till now. Though most of the projects are worthless forum got a few projects every year that gives hunters really something which motivates them not to leave the work.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: create your own erc20 cryptocurrency - full guide on: May 11, 2022, 02:25:37 AM
should i do a tutorial how to create an ico token next time ?

I do not know how it will be useful for newbies or general users. Because everybody doesn't need to create an erc20 token. It is not something that you eat or need for any purpose if you are not starting a project. But every project hires a developer to create their token and smart contract because it's not that expensive for a project that is aiming for millions of dollars in market cap. Also, it can also be found on google so few will be interested.

76  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can America end the war in Ukraine?? on: May 10, 2022, 05:14:14 AM
Actually from this war, if anyone will be benefited it will be china. After the collapse of the soviet union, Russia lose the power to challenge one on one against the USA but recently the rise of the Red Dragon in Asia gives the guts to head-on with the USA. Not only militarily but in every sector. If the USA and Russia had both been weakened due to this war then there will be no one to challenge china to be the next superpower.
You have a point about the Chinese benefiting in the ongoing Ukraine invasion but I don't see the US military weakening and the last time I checked this is not something that involved the US government alone.

They are weakening not only economically but also militarily. The economy and military of the USA are so big that the change is bearly noticed but it's happening. Super high inflation causes problems for the USA to bear its mountain-high military experience. Also, we saw how china ignored any kind of USA warning regarding Taiwan's situation. Its become very common nowadays for Chinese aircraft to violate Taiwan airspace. It's a direct slap in the face of the USA when they are warning china for a very long time about their activity above the sky of Taiwan.
77  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we raise our kids in this kinda society on: May 06, 2022, 09:41:58 AM

If your surrounding is this bad then create a friendly environment inside your house for your kids. It is better to have no friends than to have some bad ones. Teach them about respect and patience till they grow up. Parents could become the ultimate teacher of a child.
...

I don't agree with that.  The best bet is to have 'friends' which are a cross-section of society in my opinion.  I've certainly learned some of the most valuable lessons in life from my 'bad' friends, and as a consequence am able to cope in a diversity of societies and social structures.  Cloistering, in my observation, leads to viewing society through rose-colored glasses and/or viewing 'bad people' in mostly invalid ways due to lack of background experiences which make it impossible to comprehend necessary nuances.

But you are risking your kid's future here. They are kids not grown men. Kids easily get influenced by people surrounding them or at least try to be like them. The lessons you are talking about will come in the way of their life but spending too much time with some bad character could change their character too. You can not be with your kid all the time till they become a grown man.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Legal Tender in Panama on: May 06, 2022, 09:35:09 AM
These will increase in number no doubt. All the poor nations of the world will see bitcoin as a way to get out of trouble, I mean even dollar loses value and it is one of the biggest reserves in all of the world, probably the biggest ever as well. If bitcoin is used instead of dollars, then we could have reserves that gain value while staying there and that would be very helpful to pay the debts and that will be amazing.

That will never happen at least they won't let that happen. It is true that some small countries legalize bitcoin not only to avoid inflation of the petrodollar but also to attract crypto investors to open up crypto-related businesses there. They are just trying to represent themselves as more crypto-friendly than others so that investors came with ideas into their country.
79  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we raise our kids in this kinda society on: May 05, 2022, 02:20:59 PM
Society nowadays doesn't seem like anything we grew up in, it's so complex and diverse that I can't help but wonder if this is where my kids are going to grow up and how do I manage.
While growing up fraudulent activities, prostitution, and others were seen as heinous crimes whereas today it is seen as a norm. How do I send my children out to society even with a thorough upbringing and not be afraid not knowing what society will through at them? It frightens me. Can't help but wonder.

If your surrounding is this bad then create a friendly environment inside your house for your kids. It is better to have no friends than to have some bad ones. Teach them about respect and patience till they grow up. Parents could become the ultimate teacher of a child.

Our society came down this far because of so-called human rights where you can do anything and no one could talk about it. human rights don't mean you could do prostitution openly or give hate speech.
80  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Teachers deserve more on: May 05, 2022, 02:14:12 PM
universities/colleges:
each student pays on average $£10k+ a year and a class is like 30+students strong, some 100 per class. meaning the professors are paid many hundreds of thousands.. by which the quality and depth of detail of those classes should reflect over $300k of professors teaching.
many university professors just turn up, write a title on a chalk board, and ask their students to do their own research on the topic. something not worthy of $300k a year

I do not think this happens in every part of the world. In my college, I saw how teachers care about their students by helping not only in education by financially. It feels weird by seeing the word financially but I am referring to their ability to arrange extra tuition classes for their poor students who do not need to pay. I know it's very expensive to bear the educational cost in western countries but the difference showed up in their skills and research.

The cost of getting quality education is not only expensive in western countries but also in developing world where it is not easy to bear sky high tuition fees of   universities  for a middle class family but despite all this they somehow  manage it as  they understand the importance of education for the future of their children . The teaching is a  well paid profession and most of them really work hard to provide quality education to their students with few exceptions and their role of building nation deserves high respect from society.

Actually, there isn't much we can do about it. Govt should provide more support for building the education system. Education is called the backbone of a nation and only educated people can build a nation. So If I were the leader of my country then 20% of the total budget would be only for education and there will be a law that every child has to go to school which will totally be free. If a country gives education the first priority and uses its full strength about it for at least 20 years then it could be a place for knowledge and bright minds.
