Let's wait for William (Litoshi) then. Smiley

Alright! I'll be waiting ^^ I am really interested.

I am doing the research with Max.  We will have the story for Thursday release.

Have you just to let out a secret and there will be 0.5.0 release this Thursday?  Smiley

Not yet, but we preparing some new demonstrations for Tuesday. And preparing all to start open test for developers soon.

Since you are using DPOS technology that is Daniel Larimer's invention (via Bitshares), have you share-dropped some XCR to Bitshares holders or at least to AGS investors that made DPOS tecnology possible?

Bitshares take part of coins when you use their toolkit, we don't use it.
We offered some xcr to peoples who helped us to make DPoS, this guys from bitshares community.
And we in good cooperation with bitshares team, know some peoples, they are in our slack Smiley

How the works on 0.5 going ?
Where is GreXX ?

Etherium is 100m USD $ marketcap.

We closing last things in 0.5.0 and preparing it to open testnet, we want to give feedback from developers in this time.
GreXX are not community manager now, but he is still here and preparing marketing.

First Video Preview of our Decentralized Applications Platform and Sia Decentralized Storage

Hello Community,

We are very excited to show you the first preview of our forthcoming Decentralized Application (Dapp) platform. For this special moment we have prepared a YouTube video, which guides you through the necessary steps to deploy and launch your dapp onto Crypti's Dapp Store.

Please note that the user interface is an early version and will go through several quality assurance cycles before we release it.

Click here, to watch the video.

Are there any choices for app hosting other than Sia and GitHub? It is strange to me that we can not use Crypti blockchain for that purpose.  Huh

The first release with dapp functionalities won't have other storage solutions. When time passes we will add several other choices, centralized and decentralized. There are many alternatives available and we will implement them one-by-one.

Why is it strange to you that we won't make the Crypti blockchain available? Crypti is not a storage solution, it's a decentralized applications platform. Also we are not Ethereum, we will not pollute our main chain with arbitrary data. This is our huge difference to Ethereum. Smiley

At Ethereum everything is on the main chain, this will make the blockchain very big with the time and the gas-price for contract computation very expensive. (Correct me if I'm wrong. Wink) At Crypti, every dapp is running on its own side chain. That means, there can be 100,000 dapps running on Crypti without a problem.

@Passion_ltc would it not be better to create a side-chain or multiple side-chains on the Crypti network, purely to store DApps? It great to have a partnership with Sia, but IMHO it would be better to store everything on the Crypti network, that way you are not reliant on other networks and developers with the storage of important data. If there is a problem with the Sia network, then we are fully reliant on Sia's developers to solve the problem and ensure our data is safe, and as a potential DApp developer that doesn't instill much confidence.

The major difference between Ethereum and Crypti is that for developers Ethereum looks the more attractive option as everything is stored and executed from the same network. The problem with Ethereum is that EVERYTHING is stored on the same chain, Ethereum doesn't have side chains (please correct me if I'm wrong), whereas Crypti does. Therefore Crypti has a major advantage there. If you can store Crypti's DApps on a sidechain or multiple sidechains without the need of a third-party network to handle the storage needs, you will have a HUGE advantage over Ethereum.

Also on a side note, since Ethereum's roller coaster trading run over the last week (something akin to the major pump and dumps of the past years) has got massive coverage on media outlets from TechCrunch to CoinTelegraph, you can expect a major influx of investors looking for similar coins to invest in, and you can expect a lot of new "2.0 coins" popping up on the aftermath of Ethereum's release. So if you guys can complete the DApps platform within the next month or two and start marketing in that time, you will see a major increase in our community size and trading volumes.

Ethereum is about another year from full release, if Crypti can launch DApps and Sidechains within that time, with the proper marketing you can easily steal a lot of Ethereum's market share.

Hey Wulfcastle,

welcome back! Smiley

I will discuss this with Boris the coming days. Principally it should be possible to create a dapp, which lets you store other dapps. But there are a few problems, e.g. where is this dapp .zip package stored. Also I think there are a few problems to store such big single files (500kb) in the side chain. I will come back to you regarding this matter.

Just a reminder, as it may create confusion to the others. We are talking about the storage solution for the dapp .zip package. From where you pull it, when you install it. Smiley The actual dapp will later be on your node and doesn't need to connect to SIA all the time when you launch it. Only when you install it (what will happen once). The data of the dapp will be on its sidechain, secured by its master nodes.

I think community developers can take this idea and make dapp for it. Then we can add it to our dappstore as one of storage method.

I think here is big different between Qora Contract AT and Crypti current implementation.

Quote
It's definitely a race, but

Encrypted Messaging
Web sites & search engine
Social Networking
Contracts through AT

have already been done in QORA!

It's great, but it's not our direction. We will not spend a lot of time to encrypted messages, social networking. Once our dapps implementation done, we will just add encrypted messages, avatars in dapps as small base example.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: July 09, 2015, 02:28:51 PM
There will be a mobile app for iOS and Android, they should be accepted at the app stores of Apple and Google. Smiley From within the mobile app you have full control over the dapp store and can launch your dapps from there. Of course the dapp needs to be responsive for this.

OK, so there's dapps in the Crypti dapp store.  What is the plan for where these dapp files are stored?  As files on a single Crypti website server?  As files on all 101 Delegate servers?  As data on seperate custom XCR side chains?

Where are dapp files stored:
- Github (centralized method)
- 3rd party decentralized storage (decentralized method); we can't disclose yet who this will be, in the future there will be more than one option

We already integrated one decentralized storage, but more info later.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 25, 2015, 12:54:19 PM
Yes, I see the transaction there.

It's a pity that while Crypti is one of the fastest coins with 10 sec block time the exchanges have to basically use pen & paper to complete it so the transaction is slower than BTC on the end. After 1,5 hours still nothing on Poloniex.

It's problem of poloniex, looks like something didn't work on their part.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 22, 2015, 03:22:12 PM
I'm having some problems setting up my 0.3.0 "MalReynolds" delegate on Vultur.  I've got the 0.3.0 software installed and running on my server.  I can call it up over the internet via http://IP:8040 and log into my correct forging account.  However, it doesn't recognize that I am a delegate.  Next to the "Send" button is a half circle with "3%" inside of it.  THe half circle spun for one revolution and is now frozen.  My block chain seems to stop at 258650 and won't load higher.  When I go to the forging page, there is a button to "Register delegate" and no button to "Stop forging".  When I try to register the user name "MalReynolds01" for the account, the registration window freezes and does nothing for a very long time, until I cancel and log out.

Suggestions?

It seems it isn't syncing to the end. If you have the old blockchain from the old version you can use it. Else try to close the client, delete the blockchain.db and start it again. Then it will sync again from scratch, should be working.

Also, how many MB does your client have? While testing we saw, that 512MB are not enough anymore. This will likely change again in the future, but right now we recommend to have 768MB minimum. Smiley

If Max didn't helped, send me logs in PM please.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XCR] Crypti | DPoS | 100% own code | Dapp Store on: June 15, 2015, 03:37:54 PM
Btw, for everyone's reference, the other major project I am working on is the first major dapp to be featured for the crypti platform. It will be a game, it will utilize multiple custom block chains and smart contracts, and it will be for mobile platforms at first. We won't open source the game itself but we will open source and release the smart contracts as well as hopefully a small documentary style video series on how we built it and incorporated the technology for others hoping to do the same as well as to show off what crypti is capable of. We have been pushing hard on it and think it will be a great first example of what is possible and highlight some of the benefits of using crypti as a platform.

Eric, Karma and I are the core team behind the development studio we are launching to produce and release it as well as future dapps.

The past few weeks we have seen a lot of debate on UI color pallets, 0.3.0 test nets with aliases and contacts, and now efforts to tip, translate and go social.  These are all very worthwhile efforts but ultimately no different from what is being done by lots of other cryptocoins.

The effort GreXX outlines is a very important effort that has the potential to be something new and revolutionary.  What is the status on THAT?  When is side blockchains and dapps going to become the main effort in Crypti?

The more I think about it, the more convinced I am that the killer app for Crypti will be a sports gambling dapp on side chains that can not be shut down by government authorities.  A custom side chain would be created for an upcoming game or horse race, that chain would embed wagers between Crypti users on the outcome, and a smart contracts subroutine would enforce transfer of Crypti to the winners from the losers by scraping an authoritative score results website.  A side chain for a finished event would be archived and a new custom chain would be started for an upcoming event.

Such a dapp would give players an incentive to buy Crypti as "gaming tokens" that could be converted later to other cryptocurrencies or fiat national currencies, ultimately causing the very value of Crypti to rise as more and more new users participate.

How do we start developing THIS?

DApps is next Crypti background release after current release. So, i think we will finish in the middle of next month, maybe few weeks more.

The uptime for stasDelegates 1 and 4 are continuing to drop and will soon be below 15%.  Meantime, we've got 5 reserve delegates looking for some votes - Intrinsic 1 & 2, starik, btc and xhipster.  I'll get some votes to xhipster tonight when I get home to my secure computer, I've already supported the others with votes.  Maybe others  can do so, too...

http://cryptichain.me/delegateMonitor

I voted for Intrinsic, but he moved to another city for next Wednesday, and he nodes offline, because i removed votes. I will vote for him after Wednesday.

Yes, mistaken. But i am interested how you connected that to me Roll Eyes

If you interested, so

Just curious, no pressure, what's the updated expected ETA on the white paper?

We almost finished it, i think we will publish it in one-two weeks.

BTW,any one can send me some XCR in the testnet?
here is my account.4908996009439711121C

Thank you crypti

For future, don't use your real account on testnet.

Can we get some official word on what is going on with the network?  According to the Network Monitor we only have 60 Delegates online, and if you were running a Windows client, you are now offline.  Isn't this enough reason to vote up our non-Foundation delegates like China and get them forging?

http://cryptichain.me/networkMonitor

Thank you Mal
let me introduce my delegate "China" again.
this node setup at Beijing of China.
help to improve the network in China.
using servers from aliyun, which is a cloud server company run by Alibaba.

and this node is stable sync for about 2-3 weeks now.
i think it's prefect to be a forging delegate.

Hi Mandy, wait little more, someone will vote for you. Smiley
Thanks.
Thank you Crypti.
you helped me a lot.

the reason why i setup this node is not to forge XCR(you can see the fee is less then the cost of servers).
the main reason is that it's feeling awesome to be part of Crypti .
i am a Cryptier!!!

After end of cycle votes will be applied.

I checked all my nodes and it's working. Look at explorer, there is offline almost windows nodes, but delegates using Linux.
I think it's issue in explorer, anyway i asked other guys to check him nodes.

Are we having network problems?   As I write this the monitor says only 58 delegates are online...

http://cryptichain.me/networkMonitor

Delegate node not connected with another delegate node, i will look, but i think it's just like our p2p statistics working.

Sigh.  I see somebody from BitShares added 1 vote, and somebody from Crypti (not me!) then added 200 votes.

Please, guys, let's not get into a bidding war.  If you vote, do so to even the vote count so both are equal.  Let's go for the tie and a win-win here.

We love bitshares Smiley

Some news about Cryptsy.
After last stable versions, we contacted Cryptsy devs again, waiting for their answers.
I hope on next week we will get answer and help to fix Crypti Wallet on Cryptsy.
