looks like ispace is still using an old wallet that's on a wrong chain. current diff is at 17ish and ispace is showing a diff of 35

Looks like the checkpoint server is working now also. The message isn't showing up anymore.

Turns out my modems firewall was blocking access. I rebooted my modem and now it works.
Still don't know why a device with one static IP could connect on several other IP's.

maybe there were already some exceptions for the IP address the cams were on in the firewall, like that IP was used in the past for connecting some other device to the internet or your local network? I notice sometime I get funny happenings on my network because I have a 4 port switch (I use for my mining hardware and wallet server) which is completely autonomous setup wired to the router and uses 192.168.1.x for its IPs but so does my main router out of my laziness. Sometimes some of the wireless devices as they connect to the main router will get one of those IPs already assigned to stuff connected to the 4 port switch or vice versa. This happens If conditions are "right", which i haven't figured out how to reproduce..I'm thinking I have to be rebooting the switch while something else connects wirelessly, IDK..

I haven't setup the router for MAC address filtering yet though. Which would probably take care of the problem but could prove to be a PITA if I forget I did that. Have you tried that yet?

glad you figured out what it was and that it wasn't serious. WAIT.. So if I woulda DLed that dvr client I could have been watching your cams???   Shocked  Cheesy

I'll check the sites again later and report back what I see. right now they are "taking too long to respond" and "can't be reached".

It would have been kinda boring. 7 cameras around my house. Card drive by, some times somebody walking by. parked cars...
Neighbor did stab a person on the parking strip once, but that was a while ago.

Depending on how badly mangled the DNS records got, it could take 24-48 hours to get straightened out again.
Still would like to know what went wrong...

I would have been entertained. haha For a few minutes anyway.

I've always wanted to gain access to the street cams around where I live. might be illegal though..

I was wondering how what happened could have happened also but with not knowing the inner workings of your network, I could only speculate. Hope you figure it out.

The sites are still down at the moment.

I think your web server has been compromised. ..Got some wak s**t happening at both LTB and BTB official sites. They are trying to make me DL a dvd player or some crap.

I'm not seeing it.

I'm serious. Something is wrong. I was at my mother's house today visting my uncle and went to show him Bitbar.co it went to the address BUT it wanted me to activate an active x and then tried to dl a dvr client player onto his computer. i checked the site with my mother's computer/ but same network and same thing. When I got home I checked both the ltb site and btb and they are both still all weird. THe background that shows up is blue with a white box and an icon in the middle. Under the icon it says "The server closed the connection without sending any data" Also, on the tab for the web page it says "Web Client for DVR" In the address bar it still says "bitbar.co" This explanation is the same for litebar.co. I have tried other sites and all other sites that I have tried go to where they are supposed to go so I don't think it is on my end or my mother's end or my uncles all at the same time. Just tried it on my gf's computer and same results.

(notepad squishes it all up with no end of line returns)

Have you ever tried notepad++ ? If not, google it. It's open source and free..and pretty awesome. I don't think it will squish stuff and shows different colors for different code lines etc.
yes. It works well.
I was just going with the normal windows programs - keep it simple (as possible)
Besides, once you use wordpad, it puts in the missing 'windows' end of line  (carriage return or line feed, don't remember) and then you can use what ever editor you want.

I didn't know that about wordpad. I'm glad I found out about notepad++ though. It helped me through a bunch of boring projects for a C++ course.

note: If for some reason you were on a different chain, or your wallet just hiccuped and spewed nonsense out to the network, your wallet could end up being banned for 'misbehaving'
It's a temporary ban set for 24 hours. (most wallets are 10 minutes - I don't know why they designed bitbar this way)

Sounds like part of the original over engineering of Bitbar, with emphasis on security.

520 Confirmations over 120
Difficulty Adjust every block
Pos/Pow hybrid
ect?

I agree somewhat on the over engineering.

I don't understand why misbehaving wallets aren't banned permanently or until they meet certain criteria which would then after, allow them back on the network.

__

Could it be that the og Dev thought there would be over 120 nodes on the network at any given time?

Waiting for 520 confirms does take forever right now but what if there were over 120+ nodes on the network? Right now, 520 confirms is way over ambitious in my opinion and may even be a deterrent for use of BTB.  A person might not want to wait that long especially because of how fast as it's value can change on the exchanges. Someone might be mining it because it is profitable over, say LTC. BUt by the time that mined amount is mature it might no longer be profitable and selling could be at a loss. So there is risk involved that way and said person might feel like a "bagholder". Which is not so good. Sure we want people to hold bars because that keeps them rare but we NEED people to spend/use them also.

__

I like the diff adjust after every block. I wish more coins were like that! I feel an unfair advantage can be had otherwise for an amount of time.
For instance, when I jumped onto the LTB network before anyone else did... before Spidersbox pushed out the first new updated wallet (I took a risk mining the wrong chain). I found literally 46 blocks the first minute, the count went higher per minute before it went down until the diff was adjusted. But only slowed down slowly also as the diff kept being adjusted. I felt like I hit the jackpot. Alerts for blocks found wouldn't stop, I had to turn the sound down. ching! ching! ching!ching!ching cha-ching! lol

PoW/PoS is good too

I think if you use "-connect" instead of "-addnode" it might help out with the sync issue. I have to say that I often delete my peers list but probably wouldn't have to if i just used "connect". But it doesn't seem to hurt anything even when i am solo mining on the network to just leave it alone. It's annoying though right? After I delete the peers list and run the wallet again it shows as synced almost instantaneously.

Also, don't mind what the green bar says on the bottom of the wallet, look in the console and the blockcount should match the block explorer or extremely close. That's what matters I believe.
I can still solo mine while it's "syncing" this way. I think the green bar shows up when a node shows a higher blockcount. So one on a wrong chain.

I kinda feel like this is a bug in the wallet, that it'll do this. But this happens to many different coins also. But it still is in sync if you check in the console - just doesn't appear as such because of the green bar at the bottom. The same thing is happening in the LTB wallet also and in 42 wallet I notice it happens in also. I've seen in happen in the Franco wallet also.

oh ya are you using a windows wallet? lol i wrote above in the perspective of a windows version wallet because that's what I use.

I would like to add to the request here for active download links to the wallets, either on the og thread or on a new one please?

Thank you

I just spent 5 min looking for a windows version wallet on google and I'm still without one. It shouldn't take any effort to find and dl a wallet.

You are right and at the same time you are not completely right. Yes, OP is outdated.
But if you know the official website of Mooncoin, you will not need a lot of time if you want to download an original wallet.
To find out which website is official, you need only to look at signatures of the most active Mooncoin members or to google a word "Mooncoin".
Another problem is that while devs control everything, they are able to implement whatever they want into a wallet's file which you want to google or download, be it malware, a fork with which people don't agree, or anything.
To prevent any centralization, Mooncoin's development is completely decentralized, that's why we use checksums to define which wallet is original one, and the most active members of Mooncoin community with their posts verify which checksums are correct and which wallet is official at the moment.

I think the download links from the official website are dead. I saw the page with the hashes on it, along with links to the supposed files to download. It says the domain is for sale and it never starts to download anything..

Do you have an active link to a windows version wallet?

awesome.

Can you create a new Mooncointhread, because few pages later, no one knows, what u did here, because you never can change the OP here.

from what I can tell tx are free under 200LTB SOMETIMES...weird. I can send 200ltb and sometimes it'll charge a tx and sometimes it doesn't. If I move 1000 it seems to always charge a tx fee and if I try to move 2000 or more I get an error that says the tx was canceled.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BTB] The BitBar Information Thread on: May 07, 2016, 02:30:19 PM

I would really love a black wallet, with gold highlights. Something sharp and classy Wink

One Midnight Special coming up.

(I don't do classy very well - you may need to advise changes)

I use the black and gold theme for Netcoin, it looks attractive.

those pesky 'bad' bars.. giving me the chills.

I will do some math to figure out maybe the cheapest way to send them.

I don't really understand how the tx fee is determined.

Where or how can I find that out?
I don't remember the tx fee. I think it starts at .0001 ltb then goes up as the size of the transaction goes up.
It's easier with Bitbar and the coin control. as you click to add a block - it shows the transaction size.

Without coin control, you just have to do it. You can always cancel when it tells you how much the fee is.

I just tried to send my whole balance to myself and an error message showed up saying the transaction was canceled. lol

I sent 20LTB to myself and it appears as if there was no tx fee.

I attempted to send 1000LTB and received the message saying it was too large and that it would cost 0.058LTB to send it. I canceled it but we know how much per 1000LTB now

I have to leave for work soon otherwise I would sit here and send progressively larger tx amounts to find the threshold of tx fee "freeness" - for lack of a better term.

I think I kinda feel that when sending your own LTB to yourself on the same wallet you shouldn't be charged a tx fee. To me it's like arranging your dollars all the same way in your billfold.  But, that should be the only type of tx free of a fee.

WoW that blows.. atleast it wasn't a mt gox or cryptsy sized incident

I found my oldest tx at cryptopia. My crisis is over... Roll Eyes I was so worried. I think I will send them all to myself and see what happens. Have you done that yet? oh wait, you have your own pool you mine on and don't solo right? So they would all go to the same address anyway I guess.
Right - I mine my own pool - If the database screws up, I don't have to figure out who to send what, I just send it all to me  Smiley

You might want to go with small blocks of ?maybe 20? it will keep the tx fee down, and have a better chance of moving more bars - in case you have some 'bad' bars
