61  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Does Bitcoin need advertisment? on: June 17, 2024, 09:39:13 PM
Bitcoin was created for everyone but everyone has actually heard about Bitcoin. Over the years, Bitcoin being a genuine project and lead several persons into sharing it's good news to others and that's one of the way the network keeps expanding. I've actually come across anyone being paid to advertise Bitcoin, because the legacy it has created still stands but today, the current trend of cryptocurrency is only trying to create a bad legacy for Bitcoin as most persons generalises Bitcoin with other cryptocurrencies this making the errors of other to be part of Bitcoin.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino/gambling center near an institution of learning? on: June 17, 2024, 09:27:53 PM
At this point, what happens to the students at the institute in regards to gambling is a self choice, because as educated persons, they ought to know more, the implications of getting addicted. It doesn't need to be taught in class  before students of high institution should be able to understand its effect if they get addicted. Things like this are common these days as casino are only trying to get good locations where they can easily get bettors to patronise them especially with the fact that the young ones gambling more than the aged due to curiosity and urge to make money swiftly. And this another reason why self discipline should be taught at home, because we never know the kind of peer pressure they might be passing through at school or anywhere beyond our watch.
63  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Ambulance - Campaign - Ukraine on: June 16, 2024, 11:35:15 PM
Hello everyone

It's not a question of a lot or a little, everyone just as he can without getting into trouble himself.

Only the thought and will counts and even these small sums / support help a lot.

So we have got four vehicles together and are very proud of them and of course of all of you here.

However, we could still use some active support for the final transport financing (fuel, meals for the drivers and helpers, accommodation and some other transport costs).

The transportation or transfer is planned for the end of June at the beginning of July, we are currently coordinating this with the doctors from the Ukraine and the military so that it arrives where it is needed and we can return home healthy.

We, the aid organization, would like to thank you all once again, without you so many things would not have been possible.
On behalf of the doctors and the people of Ukraine, our deepest respect.

As we said, every cent is needed and arrives, please support us again, thank you

Please stay healthy and everyone hopes that this will end soon.

Greetings Tim

Wow this is indeed a great project that you have embarked on my friend although I don't visit this board that much but I was able to spot this campaign of your through some of the users I do track on my telegram superbot@ lucius and some other reputable members like 1miau and lots more I learn from. although I hope you they won't take it some other way round please 🙏, it's all how I have learnt a lot here.

Here is my little support @trans harsh:: d0e7f5caf0519481bf1238e45e01f42401afab636a8563438712fa177a57ddd6

64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 15, 2024, 03:04:28 PM
It’s impossible not to admire Toni Kroos’ performance. As you mentioned, Germany’s playmaker Kroos successfully completed 99 percent of his 102 passes. This was recorded as the highest percentage of successful passes by a player who made over 100 passes in a European Championship match. Additionally, Kroos was at the start of almost all attacks. He really delivered an outstanding performance last night. It’s very sad to know that he will retire from football after EURO 2024.
I was not surprised to see Toni Kroos' performance because he is a senior player who has above average quality, but his decision to retire was a bit surprising because in terms of quality he is still very good and he still has a strong enough physique to continue to show his best performance.

Germany's victory in the opening match of this Euro was quite landslide and even in the last few Euro events, it was a big win in an open match and indeed, in terms of quality, Germany is quite ready and good at this year's Euro.

I hope Germany can win the Euros this year and it will be a sweet farewell to Toni Kroos, he has been with the team when they won the CL and if he manages to get the Euro trophy it might be quite an impressive farewell to Toni Kroos.
Well I don't know if anyone was as shocked as I was when I saw the scoreline, because thats not what I expected seeing how Germany have been struggling to meet up with their performance these last two to three years, but with this kind of start they will definitely be a team to watch out for because if they continue like this then other teams would need to watch out for this German team.
65  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: June 15, 2024, 02:58:51 PM
Nice wins, congrats.
Just don't make the mistake and redeposit the whole withdrawal, go enjoy the money that you won.
There is no problem with making a small deposit but if I were you I would use the biggest part of it to get/do something for yourself, otherwise you will regret it, trust me.

Oh, I am pretty aware of these regrets unfortunately... I have had an experience when I lost many that I have won, I know, how it feels. Now I am more cautious and I try to stop in a right time. I also believe that it is better to take some time and step away from gaming, otherwise the risks of it turning into an addiction are very high.
Thank God you know yourself and for reason I feel its actually an unavoidable event too but the major lesson there is just to be cautious for it not to be a regular occurrence for you. Well congrats on your winnings it always a joy for me to see someone win because we all understand that this game sometimes it's basically not for the money because many who followed that way have ended up many times with regrets so anytime I see winning it's gives me some sort of joy because I understand how the game can be sometimes.
66  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija they take full advantage of Bitcoin on: June 15, 2024, 02:49:01 PM
Hi community,
Making some research this morning i had to understand that Nigeria is among the top countries that trade Bitcoin most, only behind, India, China and the United States of America, this is a nice one, because even with the current unemployment rate in our country the youths have found a way to make money legally without settling down for crimes and illegal activities, that shows that as a country we take full advantage of technology and make profit out of it, it's a nice one let's continue the good work of making our fatherland proud.
Even when our government wan disgrace us, we still no gree for them.
Most Nigerian youth basically engage in Bitcoin because I could say it legal and they no need to they run from EFCC unlike people wey de into internet fraud. And again the rate of unemployment have made most youth run into the internet “Bitcoin” to be precise and other cryptocurrency. The number will always keep increasing because Nigerian government have done nothing about the rate of unemployment. As people de graduate everyday and de go into labor market dem come find out say job no de, most of them if not all of them go run come internet and most of dem go choose crypto world over yahoo or internet fraud.

Let say maybe if something should change in system about the rate of unemployment, Nigeria numbers in crypto world will always increase and don’t be surprised if we get to in Top 3 in the coming years. Even instance just check within your friends, the number of your friends that are into crypto keeps increasing every year, so na how e be for almost everybody side. So within 2-3 years Nigeria de top 3 because other countries wey de top out front de more infrastructure pass us and their rate of unemployment no recah our own.
Nigeria government have tried to fight cryptocurrency and Bitcoin to be specific but in all their efforts it's seems the growth and the massive use just keeps increasing and even till today that they are restricting people's account their is still active trade going on through the P2P method of trading Bitcoin and this has increased and made millions of youth even successful as some Nigerians youth now make it through being active vendors that trade Bitcoin on big exchanges like binance and the rest and also through investment means people are also benefiting big time from Bitcoin in Nigeria. Infact there are lots of business that still also accept Bitcoin as a means of payment there by improving the standards of their investment in Bitcoin as they can easily save up the Bitcoin for wealth to be gained maybe sometime in near future as Bitcoin is gradually growing every single days despite the fact the bear season is a fixed market too.
67  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto farmers on: June 15, 2024, 02:43:45 PM
I say make I bring this one to our notice. Recently, Naija and other African countries don dey recognise as the world largest crypto farmers. So tay e affect many of our business men and women for society. With the way things dey go so no body for our country wan dull am again, about 70% of the youths don dey farm sites like tapswap, hamster combat, yes coin etc
Well watin you expect? Cryptocurrency is all the rave now in Nigeria sef to be specific because I don't see any other African country that has the massive population of crypto users and consumers like Nigeria and plus say na one of the biggest population for the world at large sef. Crypto currency don really help the youth and also so many businesses for Nigeria and Africa at large and anytime I hear about this particular trend of notcoin, hamster combat and so many others it just makes me think back to the glory days of airdrop and some good crypto projects where in just a twinkle of an eyes someone can farm lots of profits.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can easily find 3 odds games on casinos but hard to find on sport on: June 14, 2024, 09:53:17 PM
If I were asked, "between casinos and betting bookies, which is more addictive?" My answer will be both. Being addicted to gambling is not dependent on the type of gambling or the game; rather, it depends fully on the gambler. Some of my circle of friends back in my school days were all sports bettors, but there were some of them who were still addicted. Casino games can make a gambler addicted as much as betting on bookies can also make the gambler addicted.

Well you are not wrong but its just that everyone is actually speaking on behalf of their opinion and for me I would go with the thoughts of actually saying that casino games are indeed more addictive than sportbets games and this particular game @virtual soccer games is the exact description of a game that can get you addicted very fast and believe me its one hell of a game although I don't know the particular category I would class this though.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 14, 2024, 09:35:59 PM
This wouldn't be a problem if one club dominated in a fair way (although no one likes multi-year domination like Juventus/Bayern anyway), but City have turned the Premier League into a farmers' league in a cheating way and that makes the situation even worse. But there is still hope that by the end of next season the League will deal with City and this will breathe new life into the title race and interest to competition, because in fact last season all the other three top leagues were more interesting.
You have a point because premier at a point became not interesting and no many people showed interest on who becomes the league winners because it was obvious after Manchester City took over the top table to be the winner of the Premier League competition last season. Arsenal and Liverpool which everyone thought will give the league some interesting competition didn’t do well when they were suppose to stand as the biggest rivals of Manchester City but allowed them to dominate and still secure another premier league title. If they win it for another time, premier league will definitely lose it as the most competitive league they were once known for in the past amongst the top five leagues in Europe.
I believe if someone like Mikel Arteta were to be the manager of Arsenal for the past 5 or 6 seasons,He should have taken Arsenal to their first premier league tittle by now. With the way he showed strong rivalry to Manchester City last season,it is very obvious that he has that squad that can compete with City now.He brought Declan Rice who was the rock solid to Arsenal's midfield last season, and made them stand firm when the squad seemed weak.I believe since the gunners failed last season ,they will recruit more players in this summer transfer window, and get their first Premier league tittle next season.

It went too obvious after Manchester City took over the Premier League table. And seriously, it wasn’t interesting since they were not any team that could compete with them at that point. Although last season Arsenal really tried their best to compete with them till the last match that Manchester City later took the title as of Arsenal, they were really hoping for them to get the title last season, but unfortunately they did not. Although I can’t call Arsenal a weak team seriously, they are strong. It's just that they are a little weak when the season is about to end, and I don’t know why it's happening that way every season. I think they should get some players that can play the full season without any disappointment.
For now I wouldn't class it yet as boring because I believe Manchester City themselves were actually scared because Arsenal were red hot on their tails and I believe if they was still time and more games in the league then maybe Arsenal would have by chance  maybe gotten the opportunity they needed to win the league for the first time in like two decays.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning the Euro 2024 Tournament? on: June 14, 2024, 09:28:51 PM
Hi all,

In relation to our competition here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5498852.0 where you can win tickets to the Euro 2024 Final!

Who do you think will win the Euro 2024 tournament?

We say Portugal... what about you?
Well I would say France is my pick and I don't know about any other team most especially Portugal but who knows its football we can never be too certain and that's why the game is always filled with surprises.  The euros will be very interesting because they are so many promising teams that the squad is filled with promising players and they are also young and vibrant too like the likes of Italy, Spain and even the runners up England.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: June 14, 2024, 08:40:14 PM
Nacho Fernández is creating a lot of hype in the transfer market. After that, I heard that Cristiano Ronaldo had approached him to join Al Nassr.  After that, I heard he was going to stay with Real Madrid for another season.  and probably yesterday I heard he was interested in going to MLS.  and now I am again hearing that he has been linked to Al Ittihad where he will be playing alongside his former teammate Benzema. I do not understand why she will be actually moving if he has a contract extension with Real Madrid. Right now it seems like him going to Al Ittihad can actually happen.  I really thought we would see him playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo but I guess he will choose Benzema over Ronaldo.

Well where ever he chooses to play, it's still good for him besides he has played all his prime football in Europe and he is probably going any of these above mentioned places to actually go and relax his mind and chase seriously the money because that's what most players that are off to their prime time do and my only surprise was that Neymar too joined the trend and actually moved to Saudi league.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can someone take gambling as a source of income to he/she life? on: June 13, 2024, 05:57:01 PM
Some take gambling as a part of entertainment and some take gambling as a source of income, it mainly depends on the financial status of the person or the gambler. If the gambler is in a good financial situation and does not have to depend on gambling income or whose financial situation does not change after losing a gambling bet, there should be no problem if the gambler mainly accepts gambling as part of entertainment. On the other hand, gamblers whose families are financially poor depend on gambling money, and gamblers from families who rely on gambling as one of their main sources of income.
Gambling is used as a source of income by those who have not yet suffered major losses from gambling. using gambling as fun is the work of a clever person. Gambling is an addictive game of luck. So, the more time one spends on it, the more likely one is to become addicted to gambling. no one can earn a fixed amount of money at a given time from gambling in any way as from one's job or business. so no one can live a normal life with the money earned from gambling.  Both loss and win are gambling, but here the loss is more than the gain.
Nicely said mate, it's when someone has not actually experience major loss that he would actually think that gambling could actually be some sort of income because believe me it's crazy when you have put your hope on something and then that particular point of hope actually disappoints you, it's really messed up seeing that some persons actually feel they can get the better of the house because with my gambling no matter the wins you have gotten the circle always runs back to the house being the superior.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 13, 2024, 05:50:28 PM

Quote
Bayer Leverkusen complete first signing as 2005 born defender Jeanuël Belocian joins from Rennes.
This is a five-year contract, fee of almost 15m for the France U21 centre-back on Xabi Alonso’s side.

This is actually really good to see. We know that Xabi Alonso does not have a lot of money to spend right now. At least not like Bayern Munich or other very rich clubs. So Alonso is more interested in bringing in young talents who are not going to cost a lot of money and will still be able to perform well. I personally do not see any big problem with the defense of Leverkusen, especially when I look at the matches that they have played in the Bundesliga.

But when I see the performance from them in the Europa League final, I start to think that maybe the defending needs to be better. And that's probably what Alonso has also thought. That's why he has started to make the defense stronger. A young player like Jeanuël Belocian playing under a coach like Alonso, it's going to turn out to be great for this kid.

Source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghPAuuBGdoQ
Just imagine Xabi Alonso with the Leverkusen squad this season is already very good, especially if from a financial perspective it is fully supported, then Xabi will be even more able to maximize the players he wants to buy. Because Xabi is a genius coach, he prefers young players whose potential he can develop. In terms of player selection, there is no doubt that Xabi has longterm goals for Leverkusen's future while investing in young players. After next season, Xabi is likely to leave Leverkusen to replace Ancelotti at Real Madrid. With the remaining time he has, Xabi wants to create his legacy first with Leverkusen.
Is this just speculation or their is some truth to what you are actually saying because I don't know and an pretty sure that Xabi Alonso doesn't have such plans for now about leaving Bayern Leverkusen for now. I think Xabi has already made it clear that he doesn't intend on leaving that club anytime soon atleast like you said he needs to first implement his legacy with the club first.
74  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto is really helping on: June 13, 2024, 05:24:45 PM
True talk all the street hustle and crimes don less, white corla job don rest sef since crypto don appare for Naija, upon all the sufa wey dey the country yet the youths dem still dey shine, i go sey crypto come at the right time because e give Naija people job, some persons dey wey no just know how their net minute go be financially, crypto give us food to eat , imagine this hard times now wey our government dey make us pass through now ,na how we for do am, some people wey no know about crypto new or wey feel say na scam and no get means of survival now dey beg to eat , crypto has really saved alot of lives and will continue to do so
Well the thing is that crypto has really exposed a lot of youths to wonderful opportunities of actually making profits at the comfort and convenient of their house and there are so many people today wey no even get to rely on the jobs wey government dey offer as they have already made it big time with crypto and it's just so comforting to know that even with the bad economy and government at hand some Nigerians are doing very okay at the expense of their work online.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 13, 2024, 05:03:32 PM
Maybe it's not good, but I will try to compare it with the arrival of ten Hag at Manchester United, when he had very great authority in the Eredivisie, but he had to realize that in the Premier League everything happens differently. Therefore, I am skeptical about Slott at Liverpool and admit that they will not have an easy season. On the other hand, choosing a worthy coach for such a team is not an easy task and most likely Klopp took part in choosing a new coach, perhaps this will play an important role.
Liverpool is elite team and they've come to accomplish important goals in the English Premier League. Perhaps the club will sort out means to come out winning because it's never consider easy for them.

Erik Ten Hag in Manchester United, he's consider to deliver top games. Liverpool new coach, Arne Slot will do better than Jurgen Klopp? Let's hope for the best outcome.
Of course Liverpool will definitely be very serious about choosing a coach and it is also possible that Klopp did take part but we don't know that's how he looked for his replacement at Liverpool, but for Arne Slot it is not well known in the title race in the world of soccer, but maybe Liverpool have their own interest in Arne Slot in their eyes and they know better, just like kompany who later after being released from Burnley he led Bayer Munich, it may be a similar case, but for Liverpool supporters must remain optimistic for the next season that will be lived with Arne Slot whether better or not than Klopp we will see it later after the league runs again.
This has always been the hardest decision for any club to make, because after being so much successful with a particular coach then at the long run of things he decided to swap or change due to  retirement, the feeling or after effect is always bad especially when the wrong choice is mad and this has been the problem for Manchester united for always half a decade now and they are still feeling the after effects of actually appointing the wrong person.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers👉Group Stage on: June 13, 2024, 04:48:04 PM
Group F teams

  • Turkey
  • Georgia
  • Portugal
  • Czech Republic
Looking at the current condition of the club and taking into account the strengths and players, Portugal's potential is very large now when compared to other teams.
Portugal is currently quite complex from players on every line because looking at some of the names brought for the euro this time the Portuguese players are really above average.

Defensively they have some great players who have been in high European competition like Dallot, Cancelo, Pepe or Mendes, in midfield they have some creative players like Vitinha, Bruno and of course Bernardo. For the attack they have Felix, Jota and Cristiano not to mention their young players who are currently in prime condition Leao who indeed sees from the depth of the current squad Portugal is really very good and terrible to see it's just that teamwork is clearly important and Portugal always has problems that make the players sometimes underestimated.

For the group stage I think Portugal will be very comfortable to qualify for the next phase but for other clubs there are also several
Actually Portugal has little to worry here except from Czech Republic who had a really decent stat in their qualifying and throughout last year, aside them Portugal has little to worry after all Portugal are among the title favourites.

They already have the team to capable to match every other team they plays against and this time I think they are having  a stronger winning mentality from the fact that Ronaldo came to this competition with a good record and not like what we experienced in the last nations tournament.
Well without a doubt Portugal squad is pretty dope and that's even with exception of Ronaldo because with age already against him, I doubt he will be given that much of play time even by the coach although he is still the captain of the national team but with the competition going red hot, the tempto would be a lot a whole lot tense for him to actually meet up, the issue where we like it or not age is really getting and catching up Ronaldo and his game too is affected and this same too for his American counterpart.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Parents on childs savings bank accounts are waste of time if not saving on BTC on: June 12, 2024, 09:58:37 PM
If they are saving for the child in the future use then it is not a bad idea and they can still use it to invest in bitcoin whoever they want. When cryptocurrency has not been invented they were saving for there for their children. Op you have to k ow that saving in back has nothing to lose and all the money would be intact but in cryptocurrency, transaction fee is there to cut the money. There investing in bitcoin is good but we don't have to force anyone.

Thank you for this valid point mate, I believe saving of money has been occuring ever since even before the invention of Bitcoin and so it shouldn't be a bad idea if parents actually saved money for their kids in fiat, its just that the insight about this type of saving is that inflation of things would make that actually money saved look like nothing but with Bitcoin as the savings, it's probably way better as its value remains the same or even more higher in the future.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: June 12, 2024, 09:36:02 PM
Whenever I win, I usually feel this strong urge to gamble more and also increase the amount I'm using to gamble. I do fall for this urge most times and the result is always disastrous as I end up losing the money I won with great pain and regrets. The only time I can say I have won is when I make withdrawals and possibly use the money for something else. As long as the money is still in the platform, there is a high chance of using it to gamble more. I decided to create this topic to see how other people manage their winning in gambling. If I notice a better approach, I will switch immediately as I don't want to continue experiencing the pain of winning and later losing the money again.
Well this is a common experience and I believe it's caused by man simple nature of greed because the moment you start getting greedy, the whole context of everything changes and before you know your aim starts increasing as you would no longer be calculating things under the same thought you original came with when you starting the gambling session initially. It's take a really high level of discipline to actually over comes things like this when gambling.
79  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: June 12, 2024, 09:25:21 PM
There is a new interesting token coming soon, called $MWIN by Metawin. I think it will be a serious opportunity and a successful token compared to other casino tokens that exist today. If I were you, I would keep an eye on $MWIN.

If this one would really be starting some cheaper floor price then i might considering on baggin some coins but it would really be that still depending whether Metawin would be doing well into this crypto space.
I don't really understand the basics on why you are so certain that this particular coin would perform better than these other casino coins because am certain that there are some casino coins that are liable to do well too like the rollbit casino coins. The bull market is practically a period when almost all coin with massive holding capability will go up and when you compare the price market cap of the rollbit coin you can see that it's going to grow in this bull.
80  Other / Off-topic / Re: Know when to stop on: June 12, 2024, 09:07:58 PM

In terms of saying it yes that's easy but in terms of practicing it then that's another story, we tend to say that we should have that limitations both from winnng and losing, but the reality when we suffer either winning or losing we mostly exceed from whatever limitation that we set up, though there are some who can do it, some experienced gamblers who manage to play wise and always stay on focus when they are in session, they practice what they setup and manage to make something decent, but the percentages is too low, as there are still many gamblers who don't realize or still in the kind of mindset that if luck permits then they will win more and they will leave the house with huge amount of profits.
It’s just that each player has his own limits and restrictions, for some, a bet of 3 dollars is already a lot, but for others, several hundred is the norm. But whatever opportunities the player has, he must comply with risk management, the bet should not be allowed to make up a large part of the gaming budget, and even more so, the game should not be allowed to play all-in. The rules must be followed in any case, otherwise the outcome will be obvious.

Yup, there are different types of players and different types of capabilities, for some they can afford to lose decent amount of money and for sime they can go with small amount and they are good, especially those who are treating gambling as source of entertainment those who are killing some time and use this venue to enjoy, they can allot some amount and if that's already loss they will just go out and quit, just like paying for your entertainment, though there are some who really treating gambling as possible ways to earn and they are willing to risk decent amount and hope that luck will guide them to win.

But the truth is that this set of people you are describing are very few in the Gambling world and by that I mean those that would and play with little amount and after they lose will also be contented and not trying to find another way to get back those funds that have been already lost. But those particular gamblers who understand this rules of actually having to pause are the ones that actually get some peace of mind when gambling because they don't take it more than it is.
