61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 22, 2017, 01:17:20 PM
India have started badly, losing both openers early in the match. Rohit and Dhawan have performed well in recent matches and the Indian middle order has not been pushed to perform. It will be interesting to see how Kohli plays now. India are 54/2 after 13 overs.
India started pretty badly but Kohli played a masterful innings and scored his 31 st century and now only the great Sachin Tendulkar is above him for the number of centuries scored and he achieved that in just 200 matches which is incredible and if he could keep up these performance he will surpass Tendulkar for the amount of centuries scored in ODI when he retires, looks like this is a difficult pitch to bat and i am hoping that India could win as they are playing in their home town.
Even New Zealand starts good but still India is hot favorite as they have good spinners if they perform good then Kiwis will be in trouble right now Require Run Rate is not high and two good batsmen on crease they need to play like Kohli for first win and more interesting matches of this series current odds @3 for New Zealand have some worth to put some money on this

A score of 280 is not a very high total. The kiwis started well, but lost a couple of quick wickets to be 62/2 in the thirteenth over. They have depth in their batting line up and should be favourties even from this point.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver: Did he get rid of ALL his Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash? on: October 21, 2017, 07:19:18 PM
So after the fork came in what did Roger Ver do? Did he believe in his vision so much so that he decided to give up on all of his Bitcoin after the fork?

If he believed in his vision so much surely he would have exchanged his Bitcoin for Bitcoin Cash. Anyone know?

No he definitely didn't. He has made a lot of wagers with people to swap I think 1000 bitcoins (legacy) for segwit 2x bitcoins. One of those involved is Charlie Lee. He has said that he will support Bitcoin Cash if Bitcoin doesn't scale further in the future.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: October 21, 2017, 06:59:30 PM
Even if people are not using bitcoins or not aware about bitcoins we are heading towards cashless society where people prefer to pay with debit/credit cards at a moment and when they will come to know about bitcoins I am sure many people will start using bitcoins for making payments.
Theres a possibility since we are evolving when it comes into technology when there would really be a point on where theres a proposal for such cashless society which would decide up to make things digitalized specially on monetary system. People will surely be forced to adopt it because government do really require but i would say this kind of adjustment would really takes time since not all people do really have the knowledge on such digitalize things.

We are go to that era though, cashless society. Maybe it will takes 5-20 more years to become cashless society. Big country like japan and south korea who have a good technology will become the first country that not use any paper/coin money and USA too of course.

It is not just technology. It is the attitude of the people. In a country like Germany, which is highly technologically advanced, there is a greater preference for cash. People value the privacy that cash affords them.
64  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 21, 2017, 06:46:48 PM
I think, theres no TA applicable here, it`s all emotions, for the moment .

I say, that looks like quite the bubble! No way it can keep going up!

Must have been hard to hodl during that crash from 40c to 20c. One would need strong hands to hold out under that pressure

It just took a couple of months to recover. The crash from $1200 to $200 would rank as the toughest, It took years for the price to recover.
In percentage terms, I think the fall from $32 to $2 would be the largest.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: October 21, 2017, 06:39:56 PM
There is a match between West Indies and Zimbabwe going on. India-New Zealand seems to have pushed this to the background. Zimbabwe have never won a test match against West Indies. They have a very good chance now. West Indies are all out for 219.
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks $6,000 Barrier, Market Cap Now Exceeds $100 Billion on: October 21, 2017, 06:26:01 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-breaks-6000-barrier-market-cap-now-exceeds-100-billion

Where's the next stop?

Nothing seems to stop Bitcoin.  Not China.  Not Jamie Dimon.  Nothing.

There is no stop. Bitcoin seems to be unstoppable. And Jamie Dimon is over-rated. He may be the CEO of the world's largest bank, but his thoughts don't have an impact on the decisions of the masses. People decide that bitcoins are valuable, not JP Morgan's models.
67  Economy / Economics / Re: What would be the possible impact of BTC in the economy of a country? on: October 21, 2017, 06:21:44 PM
Just wanted to know people ideas on what is the good and baf impact of BTC  in the economy of a country. I am glad to hear different people views regarding this matters and get some ideas from the tenured people  around these forum.

If you are in a country like Venezuela or North Korea, it can make a huge difference to the country (Ouch, I am beginning to sound like Jamie Dimon). In other countries, I don't think the impact of Bitcoin is immediately visible.
68  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone with a bank account on: October 21, 2017, 06:18:32 PM
Hi, I need someone (or a company) with a bank account in the following banks: UBS, Deutshe Bank, Barclays, Citibank.
Payments will come from UBS UK, you will need to provide the amount received in btc, you can take 10%.
Amounts can go up to a million dollars, everything will be escrowed in Localbitcoins.

It is unlikely that somebody will accept this. They will be exposing themselves to a Man- In the-Middle attack. If the money which comes in is paid in relation to a contract and there is a dispute, the payer can try to recover the money.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoins on: October 20, 2017, 07:25:31 PM
Sooner or later the central banks will adapt the blockchain technology for the bitcoin as their system of banking and payment some them will refuse to emerge on this currency and remains on the traditional and old banking system, the future of the bitcoin will all depend on us because there is no individual who owns this currency but we owns the bitcoin, the future of this coin will be innovation or destruction, but the blockchain technology will surely be one of the systems that will adapt by the people.

central banks and governments love the blockchain, but not Bitcoin. Bitcoin undermines their control over monetary policy. it also undermines capital controls All governments dislike that and authoritarian ones hate that.

I think srilanka gonna loose today match yet again...their batting line is really very poor, see no intent and class in their batting line up

Pakistan looks to be the winning team for today. They are well balanced with the ball/bat and have been playing well in recent times.Sri Lanka was good at the start of the year 2017 and have never been able to carry the same spirit and lacks confidence.
On any given day , Pakistan looks stronger but as we all know they can't be predicted . I will go for SL because the odds are good and I think they will do something extra / different in this match .

Don't ever bet based on better odds but should bet based on teams recent performance. It looks today also Pakistan may win.

A target of 175 was never going to challenge Pakistan, but they made it look easy. They chased it down in just 39 overs. Sri Lanka got thrashed 5-0 by India. Now it looks like they are going to repeat it with Pakistan.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin unstoppable now on: October 20, 2017, 07:17:05 PM
Bitcoin was unstoppable since its inception and this year proved that it was an year of bitcoins as from the beginning of year we have seen price going only higher and same rally will continue now in coming months too and now its really hard to stop bitcoins from achieving new heights as higher adoption will take price even to higher position in future.
72  Economy / Economics / Re: China will become Super Power ? on: October 20, 2017, 07:02:02 PM
This is so funny. China is already Super Power. Just not showing the power.
They need some more time to develop new war toys then sure they will announce their super power guns.

They already are a nuclear power. They have the largest army in the world. What more war toys do you need? They are an economic superpower as well and control most of Bitcoin mining.
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: Two Factors Influencing Bitcoin's Price Right Now on: October 18, 2017, 06:56:09 PM
http://www.investopedia.com/news/two-factors-influencing-bitcoins-price-right-now/

Interest from Institutional Buyers

and

Interest from Asia

Bang on. Institutional investors are the ones driving up the price, even if they are not actually investing. Just talk about institutional investors coming in is driving up the price.

South Africa made 353 in 2nd ODI and that's a huge target for Bangladesh.Divilliers played a great innings,he made 176 in just 104 balls.Bangladesh is in big trouble as they already lost their top batsman Tamim.I am.sure that south africa will win this match and lead the series by 2-0.

On the other hand,Sri Lanka made a good opening partnership, they are 102-2 untill now, and I wish they will seal the match.
After a long time AB de Villiers back his form it was an excellent batting and good time pass. but he missed double ton that is bad luck anyway they are in safe side I this match the target is very high. So SA will win this match easily. Now Bangladesh 105/2.

As expected, Bangladesh lost the match heavily,by more than 100 runs. They were all out for 249. They had no clue about how to control de villiers and lost the plot in the match pretty early.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next 5 year for Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 06:32:51 PM
5 years is a very long time, especially in bitcoin’s life. I think we will have institutional investors coming in by that time and governments holding bitcoin. It will be wildly successful.
76  Economy / Economics / Re: The magic of Money management on: October 18, 2017, 06:28:50 PM
Every experienced trader will say the money management in trading is the important thing to keep your account alive and for my experience in trading I lose many accounts die first to bad money management and second for greed and getting more and more money, after all this bad experiences and when I keep money management in my eyes now I get my money adjusted with my capital and I required for every trader to give the most important attention for money management.

The rules for money management for me:
1. Make goals that could actually be achieved with your skill level
2. Always trade with a stop loss
3. Never over trade your account
4. Trust your indicators
5. Always protect profits
6. Trade with investment capital, not grocery money

and for you what is your experience with money management ?

These are very good rules to have. Most people fill find it tough to maintain discipline and stick to these rules. Especially when you are trading Bitcoin. When the price is moving up quickly, people are tempted to invest more.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 17, 2017, 08:51:41 PM
Hey there

In june & July I bought Digibyte & Stratis & Siacoin with all my bitcoins, till now I lost almost 80%

What can I do, HOLD or Sell or What!

Ouch! It is all a question of timing. If you had invested in March instead of June, your stash would have increased by a factor of 20. At such big haircuts, I don't recommend selling. Sit tight and wait for the price to recover.
78  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin hard fork create free money? on: October 17, 2017, 08:48:47 PM
"Bulls Take Breather? Bitcoin Slows as Price Struggles to Breach $6,000"
https://www.coindesk.com/bulls-take-breather-bitcoin-slows-price-struggles-breach-6000/

Quote
As for the specific reasons for the increase, pundits and observers are still struggling to identify a catalyst for the blast above the psychological hurdle of $5,000. However, one of the more plausible theories is that many are buying bitcoins on hopes that a hard fork in November might end up creating money out of the thin air.

Who believes this?

The fork will quickly go down in value. It is an opportunity for long-term holders to swap the free coin back into Bitcoin. But I don't think that is driving people to buy bitcoins and that is definitely for the reason to cross $5000.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: $6000 comming through on: October 17, 2017, 08:01:38 PM
The last split did not reduce the price of bitcoin. On the contrary, we saw a sharp price increase. I hope that thanks to this split we will see a very high price. And also we get a new free coin

The free new coin can be dumped, but there are risks involved. You have to ensure that you safely 'harvest' the new coin and don't lose out because of replay attack. Some people are lucky enough to dump the new coins quickly and profit.
80  Economy / Economics / Re: New rich people thanks to BTC on: October 16, 2017, 10:02:27 PM
Yes there are tons of new rich people because of BTC or because of crypto currency,
I am also earning a good amount of money because of crypto's through signature campaign and alt-coin trading.
There are so many people who are having a lot of money by imply investing in bitcoin. There is no way that one can deny the worth and value of bitcoin. Most of the people are getting rich and are still making a lot of money by doing investment in bitcoin. Bitcoin is indeed a very profitable thing and is making so many people very much rich.

Investing in Bitcoin requires money. There might be some people who have money to spare and are taking a punt on Bitcoin's price. But there are still others who got in early and have held their coins till now. These are the people whom Bitcoin has really helped.
