61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - Fair Launch, No ICO, Community DAO, based on Ethereum on: March 21, 2016, 10:01:49 PM
how many coins franko manufactured in his coin minting factory?

exp, franko, aiden, ribbit(co-founded?) and more are coming?

Franko was my first coin, still maintained, still mined, the network is solid.
Aiden was a tribute to my first born son and a live test with Scrypt OG

Expanse an extenstion of the same projects with the same goals in mind.

and ive worked for Ribbit.me for two years, they are hands down the best company to work for (not a co-founder wish I was though).

Have you not had a job before? Its my impression people get hired to do what they are good at.... For me, that's blockchain technology.

Origins of Expanse (supposedly).....This video...17 minutes into it....{though the full video is worth a watch}.

One more feedback item...When using on touchscreen, you cannot scroll the viewer page (with touch) like you can with Chrome.  At least that is my experience.

I've observed that I can modify any website in ...\Fai\appdata\filepackages and the changed-site comes up in FAI Viewer with up-to-date blocks.   While this would only affect me, I might be passing along site to nodes that download from me?

Is this bug or feature?

Also, with the HTML so accessible, it could be possible to have any FAI node return that HTML in HTTP request?  If so, no site would be needed for content, rather a list of FaiNet node to render content.   Think of this as a decentralized and Denial-Of-Service-proof content provider

With FAI viewer, you can browse the HTTP world.  With this approach, the Chrome (in HTTP world) could seamlessly search FaiNet.  The advantage of FaiNet over HTTP world is that you can search the FaiNet Web even without an internet connection!  And with above, people could use the browser they prefer most (I am thinking).

This project is definitely interesting, and you have obviously put a lot of effort in it.  Here is my personal feedback.

I'd love to experiment more, but have an issue with an utter lack of coins.  10K coins for a domain?  There are only 50 per block and my I3 laptop is luck to get one block every 2 hours (makes me suspect a GPU already exist).  A domain is simply to costly for me to experiment with based on coin availability.

Regardless, mining should not be primary purpose, it should be the content.

Why not reward for publishing content?  {Done it several times and gotten nadda.}
Why not reward nodes for validating network?
How about a Read-Only Public Node for people who do not want to download the network to see a page or domain?

It is interesting to experiment with this, but the lack of reward for involvement is going to end my interest at some time in near future.
