TreasureSeeker, thanks a lot for your reply! Because I am just a beginning miner I need to collect some experiences. Last week I actually started with mining BTCs by using two "BFL Jalapeno". That are two black boxes, and they require my PC to be turned on all the time. So I use the CPU - which is working anyways - for creating some InfiniteCoins. Thats about me.

If the low hashing power the reason for my problem, then I am cool with it. I just will continue and see how it comes out for me.

Have a good mining time everybody!

Edit: I´m getting transactions again. So fine.

No block found only for me? When i look at the other minerīs stats in this pool I clearly see that they got transactions. If you look at my stat you can see that there are no transactions for all the time. Maybe itīs because of my low hashing power? Strange thing.

But anyways, I will continue for a week or two, and if there is still no transaction I will engage in solo mining. Only bad thing is: With solo mining I have only 1,9 KH, while with Pool mining I get out about 3KH...
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Did not get any transactions since almost 28 hours... on: August 02, 2013, 06:55:16 AM
Hello TreasureSeeker,

I use minerd -o http://treasurequarry.com:9844 -u iNYf2CfdzeMcpinuC3jxWAhXD79PXC3QF1+0.00000090 -p x to mine in your pool.

In the beginning it was really cool: Large payments each few minutes (275 Coins, 3KH). Is really some kind of fun. It gave me some feeling of beeing successful ;-)

But since about 28 hours I did not get any transaction anymore. Maybe I unknowingly changed something? Maybe you can have a look at my stat and tell me what to do?

Thanks a lot! Smiley

Hello, all!

I think I looked into BitCoin about a year ago, but never quite grasped the concept, so it didn't last long. About January I looked at it again (I think they were talking about it on TWiT and I got interested again) and have been mining at 3-9MH/s on Slush's pool, trying things out and researching building a real rig.

I finally signed up because I've developed a Windows 7/Vista Desktop gadget for monitoring miners on Slush's pool that I'd like to share with the community. I've offered it to Slush, and now I'm just tweaking a bit more here and there. So I figured I'd better hurry up and start trying to get my 5 posts out of the way Smiley

See you around!

P.S. Yes, I know Windows 8 is coming, reducing the usefulness of a desktop gadget. That is, the gadget still works, but the desktop isn't visible a lot of the time. I've downloaded VS, so maybe sometime I'll take a look at it and see what it would take to make a WinRT app with a live tile displaying similar info.

Dear James, you are very welcome here! Also I am new here, signed up yesterday. I allready have about 9 posts, but I really donīt care about the newbie - hell, hehehe. Thanks very much for your good intention. By the way: I still use XP and I never will install any new Windows on any of my PCs. The next upgrade will be some linux (most probably CentOS on the newer machines, on the older ones XP still will do a good job). I donīt know how others here think about this, but I guess windows8 will not be any topic anymore for many.

I expect delivery in about a month, yes, that leaves ~8 months... and power cost is 0, since they will most likely be housed in my DC.  But even factoring in power, depending on what BTC prices do, it may be paid off sooner (or later if the fall is dramatic)  I based my calculations on $4/btc.

Is there a limit to how many you can put on 1 PC

127 per USB port.   I imagine you'd run out of power points before your PC ran out of USB ports Smiley

This is the number from the usb-specification, and even if somebody said, it will not require any CPU-Power from the PC and a "healthy" usb-port is enogh, I would not be too sure. Depends all on the amount of data which is transfered and on the latencies. I really donīt know what data is transferred, but if that will turn out as a problem, you could use an usb3-host-port on your PC, together with a huge usb3-hub. That will give you some air with all the usb2-devices. But with just 10 singles you will not encounter any problem. Just my 2 BTC-cent on this...

So far we donīt know what exact kind of processor there is inside. But it draws 80 watts at work, I guess that the other FPGA-units draw significantly less. Even less in W/MHash. Just put together some more FPGAs and you will have same Hash-Rate at less wattage. But you also will have a higher price to pay, which makes the other solutions less interesting. Thats my understanding of it, for more data just search the treads.

Hi everybody! Smiley

Today I signed up for this forum because I read a lot here and now I want to share my experiences with Bitcoin. Of course I also have lots of Qīs, but thatīs normal. About half a year I heared first time about bitcoin, after 1 week I tried to buy 100 BTC, which was successful. Now after some time I heared of some new mining hardware, one day later I ordered spontaneously. I guess Iīm somehow crazy (because energy here in germany is quite expensive - my current contract requires me to pay 0.23 Euro /KWh, which is about 30 US-Dollar-cent/KWh). I have heared about the low energy costs which the US-guys have (8cent/KWh?), thats a completely other game. Same in PRC with 0.63 RMB/KWh. So far. In some weeks I will start mining, hopefully. My location is germany, so please donīt get upset if my use of the words is not perfect. Any Questions to me? Just ask, I will alswer as soon as possible (which means, it could take some days depending of my free time). Thanky to all of you here for giving this new currency its badly needed push.

I feel the need to warn you, unless you plan on moving to Iceland, it's impossible for mining to be profitable for you in Germany with an electric rate of .23 Euro per KWh.  That is, unless you already live in a flat where electric heat is the only option.

Its not really impossible, but it takes about one year to get to the break even point. Of course, using GPUs would be unprofitable. Thats the reason I did not even consider mining so far. But now we have new Hardware which eats 200 Euro/year while mining about 200BTC/year. The Heat could be a plus while wintertime, but I have a heating flatrate, so I can not profit from that. If nothing breaks, in the second year I have some income from that. Otherwise I have some experience from that. Cheesy Anyways, thanks for your warning. But its not the case that anything really depends on my success here.

The joke here is that Communist party officials have access to perks like special water sources, filtered air, clean food, and genuine products that are not given to the regular citizenry.

I guess your sources of information also have a lot of humor... Or did you got that very trustable piece of information from TV? Here in germany they hand out same data, and I always wondered who believes that. Now I know. Cheesy

If you ordered in the last week or two, I believe you'll be getting rev 3.  I ordered 30 units myself.

Iīm also tempted to place another order, but I first want to receive something before ordering more.

i like it... stay away from the phrase "My Bitcoin" though... that'll still be tainted for a while yet.

What about "My Balance"? I'm curious as to why "My Bitcoin" is tainted.

We should not put too much meaning into a word. Here in germany people are sick from "spoiled words" and rename everything to give it a "less spoiled name" again. They are completely busy from this. No thanks.

I read the tread and ordered one about 1 hour after reading the tread. By the members it really does the MH/s. The only "problem" seems to be, that the company which produces it is new and quite unknown. You have to trust them. If $600 is an amount you would care too much about, then I would recommend to wait until you can be sure to really get one. On the other hand, some guys ordered a handful of them on their own risk and got their singles. So so itīs on you. If you live in EU, then you can add $88 for shipping, another 19% of vat, also add some 5% of taxes, and finally add some coins for the paypal exchange rate. Thats all together nearly $900.
