Hello everyone. I'm Lordcirth, a PC gamer, a hobby miner, and I need 5 posts.  In other news, a friend is selling his own brand of clothing, and I think he'll start accepting BTC if I get him an offer. So, anyone interested in Streetwear/skatewear clothes? PM if you are. TY.

Hello,

I'm bitbanker (also known as John Galt). Been mining for about a year - just put a second rig online. Having some problems though. Added a 6850 card to a 5850 and 6770 setup and hashrate for 5850 dropped to 1 MHash/s. Help!

anyway, I am looking to start spending bitcoins to support the bitcoin economy. Cheers

"Due to a mass of trolling, only established posters are able to post in non-newbie sections. You are considered "established" if you have spent 4 hours online and have made 5 posts.

If you have really good posts, you can post a request for preemptive whitelisting in the appropriate topic.

Also:
- You must have made one post in order to send PMs.
- You need 10 posts to put a link in your signature.

Note that it may take up to 10 minutes for your PM or posting permissions to be granted."

Just found this so now I know.

Hi everybody! Smiley

Today I signed up for this forum because I read a lot here and now I want to share my experiences with Bitcoin. Of course I also have lots of Q´s, but that´s normal. About half a year I heared first time about bitcoin, after 1 week I tried to buy 100 BTC, which was successful. Now after some time I heared of some new mining hardware, one day later I ordered spontaneously. I guess I´m somehow crazy (because energy here in germany is quite expensive - my current contract requires me to pay 0.23 Euro /KWh, which is about 30 US-Dollar-cent/KWh). I have heared about the low energy costs which the US-guys have (8cent/KWh?), thats a completely other game. Same in PRC with 0.63 RMB/KWh. So far. In some weeks I will start mining, hopefully. My location is germany, so please don´t get upset if my use of the words is not perfect. Any Questions to me? Just ask, I will alswer as soon as possible (which means, it could take some days depending of my free time). Thanky to all of you here for giving this new currency its badly needed push.

I feel the need to warn you, unless you plan on moving to Iceland, it's impossible for mining to be profitable for you in Germany with an electric rate of .23 Euro per KWh.  That is, unless you already live in a flat where electric heat is the only option.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."

Hello , I'm Mike.  I own two Made in USA apparel brands (jackets, shorts, pants).  Yep , clothing made in the USA.   My products are on my own websites and on a couple of Made in USA websites.  I am interested in accepting BTC in addition to my normal currency and cards.  I have been reading through the forums and trying to get up to speed on this interesting form of commerce.   I have joined the mtgox site and imcex to start getting a feel for the trading and such.

Its not really impossible, but it takes about one year to get to the break even point. Of course, using GPUs would be unprofitable. Thats the reason I did not even consider mining so far. But now we have new Hardware which eats 200 Euro/year while mining about 200BTC/year. The Heat could be a plus while wintertime, but I have a heating flatrate, so I can not profit from that. If nothing breaks, in the second year I have some income from that. Otherwise I have some experience from that. Cheesy Anyways, thanks for your warning. But its not the case that anything really depends on my success here.

Hello, all!

I think I looked into BitCoin about a year ago, but never quite grasped the concept, so it didn't last long. About January I looked at it again (I think they were talking about it on TWiT and I got interested again) and have been mining at 3-9MH/s on Slush's pool, trying things out and researching building a real rig.

I finally signed up because I've developed a Windows 7/Vista Desktop gadget for monitoring miners on Slush's pool that I'd like to share with the community. I've offered it to Slush, and now I'm just tweaking a bit more here and there. So I figured I'd better hurry up and start trying to get my 5 posts out of the way Smiley

See you around!

P.S. Yes, I know Windows 8 is coming, reducing the usefulness of a desktop gadget. That is, the gadget still works, but the desktop isn't visible a lot of the time. I've downloaded VS, so maybe sometime I'll take a look at it and see what it would take to make a WinRT app with a live tile displaying similar info.

Dear James, you are very welcome here! Also I am new here, signed up yesterday. I allready have about 9 posts, but I really don´t care about the newbie - hell, hehehe. Thanks very much for your good intention. By the way: I still use XP and I never will install any new Windows on any of my PCs. The next upgrade will be some linux (most probably CentOS on the newer machines, on the older ones XP still will do a good job). I don´t know how others here think about this, but I guess windows8 will not be any topic anymore for many.
