61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecent | CPU Mining | Bytecent.com | BYCRewards.com | InstantBYC.com on: September 10, 2015, 10:24:36 AM
For your bug. Is it always 25 or sometime you got another "weird/wrong" POB?

thank you for your answer but: No it is not always 25  Shocked.

Hi! As the difficulty goes up, the harder it will be earn a coin. However, the higher difficulty in mining coins should be offset by higher pricing. But it is anyone's guess what will happen as more people begin mining.

In regards to POB, the coins required depends on the current market price. One hour will always equal to approximately $3 per hour. Remember, these coins are never spent. You are just required to have the Bytecent in your wallet to mine longer. You can spend the coins anytime you like,  they are not locked from spending. You can mine without ever using POB, you just have to make sure you enter the captcha every hour.

according to current BYC price POB must be around 48~50 BYCs and it is when I restart the wallet

I  am having trouble to synchronize my wallet. Do someone have a up-to-date nodes list?

I had a similar problem. My wallet stoped in 4 days. Then I find out that there wasn't any mined block in past 4 days! Wink

I think it's a know bug but in case of not. When you got a higter PPS than the normal you must close and re-open the wallet because you not mine anymore Smiley

I don't have that bug but sometimes when I open the wallet my POB is 25 which I know it is wrong and i should restart the wallet

Does anybody know what is the minimum fee for transactions? 0.01 BYC, 0.001 BYC, .... ? Huh I have lots of mined coins and sending them requires more than 7 kB data transfer (7 * fee)

You can try CPU  mining. There will be a pool soon too. Then you can also buy coins. This could be a huge coin. I would try to get as many as possible.

Thank you, I wish easy blocks for you Grin

sorry for asking stupid questions: I do not have a powerful GPU should I try CPU mining for Shift coin or just ignore mining and wait for buying time?

the first stage can be CPU mining only

In about 8 hours Smiley

Humble regards

A countdown will help to avoid confusing (specially with local time differences)

is this a 450,000 premine or 250,000 premine?

I have the same question (your snapshot from wallet shows 460,000 premined coins!!!!)  Shocked

Not arguing with you but this will be my last post about this but you completely misunderstood my post "no".

I highlighted your "XMG, cpu only coin". That is what I meant "no" too. It is not cpu only and there is a gpu miner that is private and most likely will stay that way.

I only posted that so someone reading it won't think that and then go over there to mine to find out there is one and start some mess in the thread over there. No sense in that happening when it exists.

And no I do not have it.

May be there is a private GPU miner for magi coin but, with re-targeting reward system of magi coin, higher hash rate is not essential for profitable mining of magi coin. The reward for magi coin in last ten days varied from 0.9 to over 30 coins per block. We must believed that we can not simply ignore the power of GPUs and programming skill of community members. It is all dependent on creativity of Dev teams to provide as much possible GPU resistance coin. Something that actually happened with Magi coin and Bytecent. (Sorry for my bad English Embarrassed)

Go to %appdata% > Roaming

Delete Tavos
Save your wallet.bin if ever you stored it there.

Reload the wallet and see if it syncs (Emerges idea), and it worked for me.

Thank you It worked for me too

Hi Emerge,

Had a quick question, the tavos application has been stuck at
[SRV_MAIN]Run net_service loop<10 threads>... for the past 20mins.

Is there an issue, i dont see any Syn with the network command. (havent been able to update my wallet for the past 4 days)

Any help appreciated.

I have the same problem, what should I do? Embarrassed
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecent | CPU Mining | Bytecent.com | BYCRewards.com | InstantBYC.com on: August 18, 2015, 09:36:59 PM
Hi I like this coin, the mining procedure is excellent = Pure CPU mining which is completely rare (I find just this coin and Magi coin as an absolutely CPU mining coin) but I have some questions:

1- I tried to mine this coin with solo mining (from "Earn" section in the wallet) after few hours I got my first block. So with the present difficulty and my CPU (Core2 Quad), 60 min free non-stop mining is enough to mine one block, what should I do when the difficulty increases? Does free mining time increase accordingly or not?

2- For using POB, according to the wallet I will need 51 BYC for extending mining time to an extra hour, this means that 24h continuous mining requires at least 1224 BYC~0.28 BTC~ 71$ in the wallet. I think this is not a fair mining way for this wonderful coin. May be my calculations or even my understanding from POB is wrong.

Anyway, I do mining for fun and this coin gave me the exactly what i need. Thank you Dev and waiting for Wallet V1.4  Wink

regards

Are you waiting for suprnova only?

I need a pool for the coin to work, this is my first launch so I am just pulling strings

I will wait... Not for a perfect coin ... All I need is a coin from a honest Dev. Unfortunately honesty is rare in this cryptocurrency world.
Good Luck man!   Wink

I am not a fan of this coin, (I am actually a little disappointed from this coin for 2th fail lunch) but the logo is not a fake picture, it is real photo

Any one succeed to work this wallet?

What about inbuilt nodes application?  we need to create nodes our-self to work this wallet?

I think you should have connections first then you can add/create nodes to network, otherwise every one will have his/her own chain
