bitcoinjesus2.0... don't bother. Ethereum doesn't need to be explained to these idiots. They are incapable, or too brainwashed. Most of them just got into cryptos and have no concept of the trajectory it took to build something as unique as ETH. Last night there was a 500,000k BUY wall. 500,000K! I have never seen anything like that for an ALT. That's right... ETH is not an ALT.

I can't help it.  Teaching is what I do.

I know. Wish you would come back to BTS.  Wink

I have already tried to teach, but I have no patience for idiocy. Good luck.

Says the guy with 14 activity.  Some day you'll learn, or, most likely not.

ETH is an ALT, by definition.  Moron.

I had to tell a HERO member this week who AnonyMint was. Do you know who AnonyMint is? If you have been around here as long as me, you would know. So who is noob?

Ethereum is the proper spelling. Wow! I see we have to start with the basics... huh?

ethoreum is the last chance of getting rich in crypto, hype on.

Ethereum is the last chance of getting rich if you bought the ICO.
Otherwise you will get dumped on by the ICO holders.

it's a matter of time before the bags is handle to the permanent holders

So lets look at the facts.

If you listened to this idiot, you did nothing as ETH went from .002 to .008

If you took the time to do a little research, you would know that ETH is not an Alt.

It's a Turing complete scripting language. A powerful scripting language like C++ and Python and marrying it to a Blockchain. The Android of Blockchains. Developers from all over the world will come the ETH not because of hype, but because of the tech they built.

Benthach lost all his money a year ago with XC, Stealthcoin and others. Vitalik won the top tech award. http://www.coindesk.com/ethereums-vitalik-buterin-wins-world-technology-network-award/

Who you gonna listen to?

A winner who COMPLETED Satoshi idea of a scripting language on his Blockchain, or a known troll who lost all his money?

Haters gonna hate, and Losers will always lose. Natural selection is calling Benthach.

why not build c++ or python around bitcoin, why creating a scam get rich quick one?
good luck with your money

Instead of me giving you the answer, I am going to do what teachers do. I am going to let you research and find out why. Hopefully on your journey, you will see what most of us see, and I will have helped changed your life from being sour and pissed to enlightened and rich!

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

Frankly speaking... I am exhausted trying to educate some of you. ETH is centralised! What is gas for?  Blah, blah, blah...

Just go to the ETH forums! How fuckin hard is that?

This is no longer a place of information. It's trash-talk!

While everyone is scrambling to buy some ETH I feel like Vanilla coin just became the genuine Bitcoin 2.0. Making perfect what was already great.

History making...

Oh dear!

FWIW, I politely reported the copyright violation (the code being a copy of Bitcoin Core run through an auto-formatter with all the attribution removed) as an issue on the github for the project and john-connor accused me of stalking him and then hid the issue tracker on that github from public view. :-/

I suppose I shouldn't be surprised as it's consistent with the rest of the concerns that resulted in creating this thread-- that there is some ongoing effort to keep that work out of the sunlight.

Oh double dear!!

What does Gordon, AnonyMint, Paul, and others know about synchronicity?

I trust John Conner!  Roll Eyes

70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone selling NXT for ETH? on: August 13, 2015, 04:07:04 AM
Meme's a meme bud. It shows you're shook.

I don't have time to care about nautilushit and the greekshit. Literally, no one cares. There is no breakthrough, just murky language about gold and assets and UK legal entities.

In the meantime, ethereum is reinventing crypto.

The real thing isn't the nautiluscoin here, but the flexibility of the NXT ecosystem. What ETH currently can do that's something what NXT, Qora and a couple of other coins just doing fine since "ages" between many other things. So, please keep the marketing BS for the noobs. Most of us here are interested only in facts, and in fact ETH going to be a great stuff, but not right now. So calm down and get back to the rational thinking.

ETH already has more Devs building on it than the other 2.0 platforms combined.

I've been following several Gen 2.0 forums...
To see if they host intelligent, objective threads about the ETH launch...
Because this tells me a LOT about the communities and whether they are ghettos or have a future.

NXT comes in last... ETH discussion is forbidden... everyone else is RIDICULED...
It's a closed ghetto that stopped growing 12 months ago and is doomed... the price of NXT says it all.

Bitshares hosts both an intelligent thread on ETH... and another one on QORA...
BTS also tolerates a HUGE amount of constructive critricism about BTS which leads to positive change.

MAID is the easy winner... viewing ETH as a complimentary system with many threads like these:

https://forum.safenetwork.io/t/how-does-ethereum-compare-to-maidsafe/456

https://forum.safenetwork.io/t/how-to-join-the-ethereum-network/4594

SUMMARY

The ETH launch has made me completely rethink Gen 2.0... and move NXT to dead-end status.

The BEST post I have read in months! Agreed to everything you have said. NXT VOLUME is pretty much only traded on Polo, and being one of their full time trolls, I can only say that we have absolutely no interest in NXT... NONE! And guess what, nobody outside of the crypto-world cares either. Why? We all know the bags will take years to dump, so why buy it? Because it has a cool UI?
Because it has a grass root movement? Keep on dreamin guys. Ethereum, MAID, BTS are way better choices. They have money, and connections. NXT has a few guys in their basement. And you want me to trust you guys with my money?

71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Give me a logical reason why Vanilla coin is not a top ten coin? on: August 12, 2015, 05:32:30 AM
Dude, go take some medication and lie down, the white paper which I expect covers all your questions is coming out in a short time.

Wow! You start an Ethereum thread filled with BS, and when I replied to your ignorant analysis, you start throwing rocks like a spoiled child. Now AnonyMint, Paul (monsterer), and smooth who are more knowledgeable than 99.99% of you turds, tells you there are red flags...  you resort once again by ACTING LIKE A CHILD?

You are officially a joke! Well done! Take a bow IDIOT!

i see this as a permanent one
everyone is dumping manero for eth right now
soon people going to dump this pyramid scam eth shit for some other scam
o loard this scam altcoin world
lol

Anyway, the gif is great. Smiley

I also feel another dump is imminent for ETH, just because of its popularity, lots of money changing hands ATM. I am not sure of its future status but it sure is interesting to watch for now. I will be staying on the sidelines until it settles down.

He's been using that Gif for the past year... where have you been?

Ethereum has nothing to do with Monero. Ethereum is not mineable. Ethereum doesn't offer anonymous transactions.
They are different kind of tokens.

Ethereum is not mineable? Is that a fact? https://etherchain.org/statistics/miners
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seen this shit ETH took over poloniex XMR is nothing but a second class shitcoin on: August 11, 2015, 11:22:18 PM
Is there a coin Benthach has ever liked or not called a scam?

Over half a million times the word scam has been used here on the forum. Benthach being a poor incestuous Bulgarian dirt farmer is responsible for half of it. It's the only word he can spell correctly.

I'm actually rooting for him. He will be the first person that is legally retarded to achieve Hero status on the forum. Go get em my little Scam-trooper!

Here's the great thing about Ethereum. The people who support the project can read.  Roll Eyes

75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone actually asked how much ETH is needed for 'fuel' on: August 11, 2015, 05:28:48 PM
all these people going on about how etherum is the next big thing you have to remember that if etherum does not find a audience it will be worth nothing, the features etherum has are nice but will people actually use them?. Why should they use something as centralised as etherum when there are many decentralised options that are being developed. Bitcoin already has counterparty which allows for 2.0 coins, DASH has darksend which allows for anonymous transactions, LTC has fast transaction speed and PPC has peershares which is a system in development for decentralised organisations. Besides the amount of control the etherum devs have over etherum is unhealthy and goes against the fundamentals of cryptocurrency, i would stay away from this too many red flags....

Question? Do you believe, or better yet... understand that what you just wrote is incorrect?

Counterparty? Vitalik rewrote the main counterparty asset feature in an ethereum language. His point is that custom assets could be just an app inside ethereum.

Ethereum is centralized? The blockchain is a distributed data structure, it's not centralized. There is no central authority or central authoritative copy of the blockchain.

Ethereum having a single blockchain (rather than multiple blockchains) allows contracts to communicate with each other, applies all the network's processing power to maintaining the security of a

single blockchain rather than fragmenting it altcoin-style and ensures that the code and data people wish to use is maintained by the network rather than again fragmenting that effort.

Nobody will use it if they don't get an audience? Well... yeah! Isn't that Econ 101? Ask the OP. He's the teacher.

Wow! And they are censoring you on the reddit?

You are right! Too many red flags. I beg you to stay away and not pollute ETH with your stupidity. You belong here.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone actually asked how much ETH is needed for 'fuel' on: August 11, 2015, 12:27:10 PM
I'm confused, I barely remember bitbay, maybe bought a bit in the ipo and dumped them, I never owned anything more than a couple of btc.

Defending Ethereum by attacking another coin (vanilla) makes no sense to me, and very little financial risk as I own again a very small amount at present.

I don't believe in karma....pagan fools.

It's ok. Most people will get that I was simply trying to illustrate your propensity for making bad choices, and attacking others without facts, but with ignorance. Ethereum sucked BTC from this place, and that money IMO, is in better hands. Apparently the market also thinks so. $18 million? Only you guys who didn't invest are crying. It was never your money. It was ours! If we had kept our money in these alts... we would be bag holding like you. Making the same mistakes as noobs. What have you really learned in over a year and a half?

Karma doesn't care if you believe in it... it knows you are there. It really hates sanctimonious hypocrites.

Change your thread to... I dislike ETH because It's GS bastard child. At least it would of been honest, than trying to come across as AnonyMint. If you had his intellect, you would know VNC is crap. Just like all you other investments. History is there for a reason mate. It's a tell. And it tells me you have no clue. See... Karma believes in you. You just don't know it.

I am done here. No useful information. Just Karmic consequences.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone actually asked how much ETH is needed for 'fuel' on: August 11, 2015, 11:41:40 AM
Such bag holding
Such fuel
Such wow

Bag holding?

Take the advice of idiots on this form, and you are sure to go broke. Do your own research, and you might have enough chips to stay at the table. I paid nothing for my ETH compared to what I just sold them for. I sold off all of my shitcoins and bought ETH last year, even though you EXPERTS were telling everyone what a mistake that was. Thousands of dollars in PROFIT is all that matters. Your opinions are as common as flies on shit. FUCKING LOSERS! Bunch of losers hanging out at the mall whistling at girls is what this place has become. Keep on being macho BTCtalk, you have nothing else. LMAO!

The amount I have now? Yes. But it's all free. Does that make me a bag holder? I could lose it, and not care one bit... it's free money. I'm in this position because I knew Bitbay was crap, and ETH was the real deal. Now I can gloat. I am gloating now. One day when Bitbay has a piece of that trillion dollar market you were promoting... then you can gloat. Hell freezing over is no easy task, so I wish you the best of luck.

I think as someone who has invested in vanilla coin then I think John Conner is obliged to answer his critics on this specific issue. I can't see why he wouldn't if he has dealt with it?

Because there IS NO SOLUTION to it.. and ergo, he hasn't dealt with it.

Yep! Karma is one nasty bitch!

79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone actually asked how much ETH is needed for 'fuel' on: August 11, 2015, 10:15:28 AM
The problem is that virtual synchrony, which is the mechanism used to synchronise the mempools is not designed for Byzantine failures:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtual_synchrony

Quote
None of the three models can handle more complex failures, such as machines that are taken over by a virus, or a network that sometimes modifies the messages transmitted. The so-called Byzantine agreement model goes beyond the data replication schemes discussed here by also solving such issues, but does so at a price: Byzantine replication protocols typically require larger numbers of servers, and can be much slower.

So, if you can pretend to be multiple clients (of which the cost is zero), you can influence replication and therefore affect a double spend. This is essentially a sybil attack.

AM, and monsterer? You need to stop worrying about ETH, it will do fine without your analysis. You should tell AM and monsterer how wrong they are. You can do it! You are a brilliant investor, and researcher! Wish Ethereum had more guys like you! Really knowledgeable types... ya knaw?
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone actually asked how much ETH is needed for 'fuel' on: August 11, 2015, 10:07:55 AM
I won't be buying your Goldman Sachs coin.

What does GS have to do with it?!? Have you even looked at the contracts platform? It is so powerful. Furthemore, you don't have to buy it - mine a block, while it's still possible, play around, build your own coin/DApp/whatever.

There's nothing other coins do, that you couldn't do on Ethereum protocol. Also, nice list of DApps in the pipeline: http://dapps.ethercasts.com/

Notice that these are not by the developers of Ethereum. So it's really an open platform anyone can do their own magic on.

What's with all the hate in this space? Someone finally solving the right problems, and everyone is hating, because of "premine", or because developers have "big" salaries. Jeesh, you build your own shitcoin for free then. These guys could get 2x bigger salaries elsewhere, instead they are dedicated to giving people freedom to create their own DACs.

Haters will be haters...

Hate is their Gas! It's called Bitterthereum.
