I am not happy with the price of Bitcoin going from c.$70,000 to c.$48,000 in a few weeks but with the market so unstable Ethereum is doing very well holding up with a price of $4000+ throughout.
This is still a great investment because it still has yet to hit the $10,000 barrier which it inevitably will do....

Explain this into details, how has bitcoin affected El Salvador? Who controls the keys? I think about it over and over: who controls El Salvador's bitcoin savings keys? Who controls keys of Chivo wallets? How would these funds be protected after transfer of power? What is good in bitcoin is that I don't need to think about trust towards anyone. How it is done in El Salvador makes me think about trust towards Bukele and his team. It is not the same to me.
You still do not get the fact Some countries government are hostile to bitcoin and never like its adoption and make a ban, just like China, but reverse is the case with El Salvador, bitcoin was adopted, even as a legal tender. If something is accepted as a legal tender, the government will want to have control, El Salvador as a country bought the bitcoin that are used with Chivo wallet which is centralized, making fee to be cheap and transactions to be instant. That is how he centralization is helping. But it is not compulsory Salvadorans should use Chivo wallet, if they like, they can use Electrum or other noncustododial wallet if they want. About the transfer of power, remember bitcoin transaction is more transparent than fiat, the government can not mishandle bitcoin if compared with fiat. I think you need to wake up, if you are a Salvadoran, use noncustododial wallet instead of Chivo wallet if you want. it is an experiment, final success is not warranted. |

OK, aren't you done now ? I never did it. My thought on LN is to not be involved at doing it for this time. I have too much on my plate mining and running that business and also caring for my bro-in-law Frank as he is suffering from vascular dementia. I spend far too much time on the farm and him to be able to do the testing and development I wanted to do with this. Life sometimes does this to all of us. It simply makes a shift in the plans the only way to go. thank you so much for the response. |

Nope a pity.. ................... I also thought at start that this is big problem that I am not able to get/redeem real gold from vault but after such long time of using I wasn't needed physical gold even one time, so this is totally no problem, if you want to get the benefits of investing in tokenized gold with no privacy issues. ............................... it is not a problem as long as you are sure of recuperating your equivalent price of gold at the end, or in case of need.. otherwise it is a real problem. also lack of privacy is a problem, in that some countries want to tax even unrealized profits, that can vanish completely some time later. investing risks must be rewarded in some way or another one. |
