61  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Believe That It's A Fix on: September 27, 2019, 01:30:03 PM
First of all it's an unknown guy. Any guy could come up to you and blabber anything. Why would i put my money on some random guy's suggestion. For all i know it's just a way to manipulate the people's bets. Or that person may have other reasons why he did that. Bottomline is, there's no reason why i would trust someone who randomly comes up telling me where to place my bets.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: September 27, 2019, 01:01:06 PM
Less bet amount and huge rewards attract people towards lottery than other gambling games but also the winning part in lottery is highly not possible but we can win on any other games we bet atleast few times. When people get the intentions to make lot of money by overnight they will pick lottery is the game to play.

AFAIK many countries were banned lotteries particularly due to lot of scam.
Indeed, the lottery ticket is cheap that anyone can afford to buy especially the less fortunate people thats why even the chances to win is slim many are still trying their luck because if you win your life will definitely change.
But the reality is it may never happen to 99.999% people who were trying lottery even for their entire life time. But the lottery owners can keep making in millions even after their paid huge rewards to the winners.
Well even if you are right then just tell me why the system is increasing the promotion of buying and selling lottery all around the world. People wins huge amount at single lottery it’s about the safety id money. Gambling is also profitable but in gambling you applies your skills and your abilities to gamble but in lottery you only will buy and wait so it’s relaxing I guess.

The thing with lottery is, even if the odds are almost impossible for you to win, the amount that you'll need to place a bet is very minimal. That's what makes it appealing. Regular pay workers cam dream of becoming a millionnaire with a small amount. And even if chances are extremely low, you still get an equal chance as other people. I also haven't heard of anyone who's gotten addicted to lottery.
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: September 27, 2019, 12:23:12 PM
Because you have a hesitation while picking an odds to bet. Regret has always happened if you are always like this, just focus on what you have been made decisions. If you are losing by having a wrong pick, just move on and accept those things. Instead, you can learn on that way to avoid possible mistakes in the future bets.

Just don't dwell too much on it. Regret is a normal human emotion and happens when you could've chosen the right bet but instead choose another. Don't blame yourself since it's something that you don't have any control about. Mistakes, crucial mistakes, are part of any gambling session. Don't make such a big deal about it that it'll affect your decision making.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 27, 2019, 11:53:06 AM
Not sure if this is counted but remember when Manny Pacquiao fought Thurman last July this year? He was the underdog and placing a bet under Manny Pacquiao would be going against the majority but this case was a bit different because if you bet on Manny Pacquiao 3 tp 4 weeks before the event, he was the underdog but a week before the fight, tables turned and he became the favorite to win the match against Thurman.

Was there ever a point then when he was the underdog? As far as i know, when the fight was still weeks away, the odds were a bit close but pacquiao was never an underdog then. People knew the disparity between the two boxers' skills and i don't think many will gamble on thurman when betting on pacquiao is sure money.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippine Basketball Association Discussion on: September 27, 2019, 11:30:25 AM
We have 2 games for today, let's analyze the line early so we can get a good value here.

NLEX vs Meralco Both. Favorites here is the Meralco bolts at -4.5, but I'm not betting my money on them, I like the NLEX here, they also have a good import and Ravena is back, so they might be a different team in this conference.

I'm with NLEX over Bolts in terms of overall lineup firepower but just a bit especially that Kiefer is back, however, let's not forget what Meralco did to the current defending champion Magnolia Hotshots during their opener. I will not take the reason that it's just a first game why the defending champ loss.

Talking about the lines, I can't comment much about the score spread since we have only a few references since the conference just start. But if we take a look at those only single game as a reference, Meralco's -4.5 seems to be the closest thing that can happen, "at least". Don't want to take NLEX past game as a reference because that game is more of a deciding game since Phoenix is not performing well, as always.

I'd rather skip the handicap but instead go for ML on this match.

Winner, you predicted it right, NLEX were in double digit lead in the 3rd quarter and Bolts are trying to make a run but they fell short as they committed a lot of mistakes. With Ravena, they have a good start now at 2-0 and I really like the ball movement now, there's no hesitation and even the big man can shoot 3s.

Good for them. The exposure this kid got from his recent gilas stint proved to be a wise move for his current coach now.  It almost felt like yeng guiao was just preparing keifer for the pba season during the fiba world cup lol. It's just the start of the season and 2-0 is nothing in conference like this. Let's see how long cyg can keep this up.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Emotions; while betting, will you risk losing your fund to back your club? on: September 27, 2019, 10:47:50 AM
Don't know how to put this but I'll try. So lets say your fav club is about playing against a tougher club which on paper they're far better than your club but in your inner most mind you want your club to win therefore, when it comes to placing a bet, which club will you go far. Will you risk losing the bet to back your team winning that match, when you know the chances of them succeeding are almost impossible but since it's football anything is possible or will you bet against you club winning that match but while the match is ongoing you'll be routing for your club to win (in other words routing for yourself to lose your bet)?

How do you balance the emotion of wanting your club to win but not ready to lose your bet in the toughest of games.

Personally, if it's about money, i won't let emotions get in the way. If the chances are overwhelmingly on other side, most of the time I'd bet on them. Consider it as a consolation for the team that you're rooting for getting beaten. In case my team wins, then I won't mind losing a few bucks for the exultation that i'll get for the win.
67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: September 27, 2019, 10:40:57 AM
IMO, gambling money is dirty money,
I am a religious person and don't play gambling very often,
based on the teachings of my religious teacher, that gambling is the root of all causes of violence,
this is what I think is the cause of money from gambling is dirty.

So why are you promoting gambling? Your signature is a gambling site and your payment is coming and that is dirty money too ! I didn't add anything differently, I'm saying from your point of view.

Gambling is happening all over the world. Many people  playing as a fun. I do not feel the need to extend sympathy to those who are addicted to gambling.

Claiming himself as a religious person who thinks that gambling is a negative thing but he is trying to earn money by applying in a signature campaign of a gambling site. He should not even apply for any campaigns related to gambling if he claims himself as a religious person who is against dirty money. He should not even play any gambling games, he says that he do not play gambling very often means he do it in some opportunities means that his claim to be religious person is just a BS.

Lol. Talk about getting hit back in the face by a boomerang you threw. That's why you don't include religion in discussions like this. If it's money you've earned honestly, then you have all the right to spend it the way you want to. Especially if you're gambling responsibly. You did't steal, you didn't step on other people, and you know the consequences of your gambling. People shouldn't have a say on it.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 27, 2019, 07:45:22 AM
1. LA Clippers
2. LA Lakers
3. Golden State Warriors
4. Philadelphia 76ers
5. Milwaukee Bucks
6. Utah Jazz
7. Houston Rockets

I have no real problems with the other six. Remove the Jazz and replace them with the Nuggets. What the heck is the writer of the article thinking when he said the Nuggets were overachievers last season? I like Donovan Mitchel and Mike Conley but the guys from Denver are still superior as a team.

It's quite strange to see the Spurs not getting picked as a contender.

While i agree that Nuggets  should have been on the list, i don't agree about Jazz, they deserve the spot as well. This summer they did good job, both Conley and Bogdanovic should complement their main players Mitchell and Gobert nicely, spreading the floor will help them a lot.

Yeah, it is strange not to see Spurs on the list, considering they were the  most consistent NBA team in the last 20 years or so.

The spurs are rebuilding. Last season was a bit unexpected for me as i still believed they're a decent contender in the west. Give this team a chance to jell and they'll be back in the thick of contention in the west, trust pop yo make sure of that. Curious how Kawhi and PG's arrival in LA pushed the team to be the top contender for the title. It's still anybodys pick if you're rooting for a western team.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Own Version Of Martingale Your Opinion on: September 13, 2019, 08:07:51 AM
There are a lot of topic about martingale now, and I'm sure many of us employ their own version of Martingale,
This is my own version of Martingale it's actually time-consuming, but I'm not going to make a living in gambling I just want to be entertained and have some fun and I want to extend my enjoyment.

My strategy is I started off with 10 sats I just add or double my bet the next time if I lose so if I lose 5 straight and win on my 6th I started my bet again on the bottom.

My reason is I want to extend my funds so every time I regain my losses I just started my bet to the minimum again
I've done it over and over again and I can extend my funds for 3 to 4 hours sometimes I made money but I never make a withdrawal
I just call it a day and come back tomorrow with additional funds and a possible extension of time having fun.

That's pretty much a conventional martingale strategy. Good for short term rolls. You'd easily lose you entire capital once your losses hit more than 7 bad rolls. Though it seems you're really just playing for the fun of it and to pass time. I don't think that would hurt, so it's probably okay. Anf the fact that you get to start the next day sometimes with a bigger bankroll is good to hear.
70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many times have you gone against majority on: September 13, 2019, 07:59:03 AM
Sport betting is strange when it wants to be, it never a sure fact the impossibility can turn possible.
When booking a bet many bets on what the majority had placed before hand.
What am I saying betting site releases games for betting and gives an option where you see what others has selected and very often it's the one with the lower odd that  people place bet on.

Last week Saturday was a Turing point for me as I refused to bet with majority(31-8-2019) and placed a draw on the match between osasuna and FC Barcelona. Most people would see it as an unwise decision but that's soccer the foolish thing can turn out to be wise.

How many times have you gone against the crowd and smiled to the bank

That makes a lot of sense, since there is a part of our being that intuitively tells us what is going to happen, it is for this same reason that we must obey our instinct, not only in sports betting, I also read it from a trading speculator of The 1800s that heeded his intuition and many of those times came out victorious, in games it happens the same, in trading and even in life.

And it's also fun to go contrary to popular bets. Not only does the profit get bigger, there's also the sense of having bragging towards everyone who went with the conventional. Though of course, it's difficult to get consistent winnings with this kind of mindset, for me it's kind of an ego boost. But we all know having that kind of feeling is extremely dangerous in gambling lol.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 13, 2019, 07:53:37 AM
yes, it changes the image of a person in society, especially people who have strong religious knowledge,
Gambling is not allowed, and when it is done it will change the image of someone who looks good to bad,
but if we do gambling online it will be safer, because we can hold privacy and avoid crowds.

I guess right now many gamblers will prefer to play gambling online because they don't want to tell other people. They feel better if they playing gambling without anyone knows so they can enjoy the games without thinking about their reputation. But some gamblers don't care about the reputation in their society because they have money, they can use that money for anything they want. People could still talk about them even to make their reputation become bad, but that person will not think too serious.

That's subjective. If you go broke, then definite you and your gambling ways will be put in a bad light. Become successful and people will even look up and admire you. How do you think professional gamblers make money? It's not just because of their technique and winnings. They get support, financers and sponsors. And that's because of the reputation that they've built during their gambling ways.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 13, 2019, 12:44:38 AM
After reading this thread i laugh immediately because this so me. The moment I win I don't remember how much it cost me to win that jackpot. Though, probably after some minutes or hours have pass by i come back to my senses then start trying to calculate my real profit if i remove the total capital (fund) it cost me to win the jackpot.
But at least you still remember the loss and it is good to do so that you can control to not be greedy, in contrast to me who never counts and remembers how much money has been spent to get a win, because in gambling losing and winning becomes a part that will definitely be passed.

In some way, counting back the money you've lost can lead to regret. Especially if it amounts to almost the same as your winnings. We know where regret leads. Though in another point, you're right. Counting your losses will make you aware of how careless or cocky you were with your money. I guess it just depends on how you see your losses. If it's something that will push you to gamble more or to make you step back a little.
73  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Martingale strategy increase your chance of winning? on: September 11, 2019, 10:31:38 AM
A lot of gamblers are using this and personally I have used these strategies for so long, to be realistic, no strategy is completely safe but to a great extent martingale strategy remains the safest strategy in casino games.

You cannot be serious.

The only challenge is that it could backfire in the long run but this is still under probability.

Sorry, this just doesn't make sense.

We wish everyone using the Martingale "strategy" the best of luck. You will need it.  Sad

Lol. I chuckled a bit with the safest strategy. I lost a lot more using martingale than placing random bets in dice. Well perhaps i don't have enough capital to keep me betting until i win, but still. A couple of losing roll will easily throw away any winnings that you may won with this same strategy. The likelihood of you getting rekt is more probable than going home with gains.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Sport Has Many Gambling Supporters (State Your Opinion) on: September 11, 2019, 10:18:53 AM
I'm just wondering, on what sport does have much popularity when it comes to betting. For I have seen even the last pages of this section has sports gambling topics that was killed long time ago and only few remains and actively running. So, I came to observe on which sport do they like the most, or perhaps which sports does have a most number of supporters here and their reason why they love it the most?
Besides, no one can even predict what will be the outcome, it sure is a Lucky guess (I think).

P.S. I have never been into sports betting, because for I'm not enjoying the thing,... I'd rather play dice than just watching them play for my money. But for me I just prefer Basketball(NBA).
Most people prefer soccer, I think the biggest sports gambling is soccer because soccer is much preferred. many sites offer bets such as guess what. but I don't like online but offline, that's more certain.

It's all the same i think. Well for the three top vote getters that is. A gambler bets on anything that they can place a bet on. Soccer is a favorite sport among the three but when it comes to gambling, basketball and boxing isn't far behind. You select 1 winner between two opposing sides. And i prefer that rather than watching dumbly on dice.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 11, 2019, 09:26:09 AM
Anyone betting on France to win against USA?
I'm thinking about it, I know USA will always be the favorites and the most hype team in FIBA, so we wont' be getting a good odds when we bet on USA as mostly their line is overvalued.

I might put my bet on france +8.5 and France ML, and some Any Team Winning Margin (incl. overtime) +31 with a good odds of 40, in case thing goes crazy, you know.

France is also playing a great basketball in this tournament.
It would be difficult for team USA to beat them and proceed to the final.
A bet for France is totally a value bet and gives good odds for france +8.5.

Given the way both teams are made up and the way they're playing, +8.5 on france seems to be a good wager. Team usa has seen weakness and if i get a +8.5 on any euro team they go up against, i'd gladly take it on. The us will team will have their hands full. I'm looking forward to seeng greece advance though i'd put them up against brazil.
76  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: September 11, 2019, 09:21:02 AM
Durant on ESPN.

"
Quote
Some days I hate the circus of the NBA," Durant told the WSJ. "Some days I hate that the players let the NBA business, the fame that comes with the business, alter their minds about the game. Sometimes I don't like being around the executives and politics that come with it. I hate that.

Looks like he now saw the ugly side of NBA which is the truth.
Also, this aint just NBA fault but the media.
They keep on analyzing players and sometimes they go way under the belt.
They make rumors like they are truth and people believe it.
That is the problem for entertainers like him. He is a star so he became the apple of the eye.

Oklahoma fans seems to not get over to what he did. Westbrook did.
Now, Westbrook is in Houston. Will they also get mad with him?

NBA has control of the media, this is just how the business is run, player can't expect that they can do all they want.
When it comes to business, there are some corruption and players needs to live up based on the expectation of the people, Durant is a star, he cannot live an ordinary life, he needs to satisfy the demand of his job because that is what he is paid for.

Speaking of media, they are main reason of the success of NBA, without them the NBA will not gain global popularity, so let them do their job and as a player be professional, otherwise get out in the NBA as there are a lot of players hoping to be in the position of where you are now.

That's just how it is. It's a cycle and both are benefitting from each other. Players can't be onion-skinned as the whole world is watching them. And great players don't get affected. It's your game that will define you. Look at kobe, ai, bron. They've had their fair share of bad light. But they're professional players and they play with it.  That's how everything works especially in something that's globally recognized such as the nba.
77  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China Urges Philippines to Ban All Online Gambling! on: September 11, 2019, 09:08:11 AM
Maybe China is just testing the Philippines here as they have already built a solid relationship but it sounded that its over specially with the West Philippine sea issue.
Its not a test to the relationship of China and the Philippines. It simply is illegal for a Chinese citizen to gamble or even set up a gambling business overseas, same with setting up a business to attract Chinese citizens as their main clients to play or gamble. Sad part is that workers of POGO are claiming that they we're forced to go to Philippines to work on in POGO and pay rate is very small.

I don't think the Philippines has violated any law of China, this local news would not lie for sure.

No Pogo company in PH are operated by Chinese — Pagcor exec

Maybe Chinese gambling operators are using people to handle their business that's why the business is full of chinese employees, but technically, I never see any violation here.

I don't know why this suddenly became a big issue as chinese casinos and gambling houses have been operating not only in the philippines but in other southeast asian countries as well. The chinese are probably one of the top providers when it comes to gambling. It's just because of the ph president's attitude towards china that this always becomes a big deal.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 02, 2019, 12:31:33 AM
The thing is the Philippines need better players. We terribly lack them. Our roster is really no match to the rosters of Italy, for example, and other higher ranked teams in FIBA. Our players cannot play toe to toe with

Race is undeniably one very significant factor. We are generally smaller people. And considering that only a single naturalized player is allowed per gameI know that their current roster is filled with experience and all professionals but compare to other teams, that's the sad reality that they have to accept. I know they are doing their best to make it and they've earned their spot there but still I'll just wish them luck for their next games.

The Philippines team rooster is professional player and I am pround to them to represent the country, the disadvantage of the phillppine team is a small height and the is truly right we need yo accept that because that is normal hieht of the pilipino, the important here is they fightbtheir best as a team.

What's important in Philippine basketball is the support of the teams in PBA. Most of the best player in the Philippines did not play because of injury or even worse their mother team in PBA did not allow them to play. Philippine basketball should have a program that will allow player to prioritize their nation and set aside business oriented teams when FIBA and Olympic games are scheduled.

Sorry but the guy who posted before you is completely right - yeah, you may have some "okay" players but  obviously... the roster is not even closely as good as the ones of the top teams in this tournament... you will get trashed by any "solid" basketball nation
[/quote]

Just accept the fact that though basketball is a beloved sport in the phillipines, filipinos are simply not built for it. Skill-wise yes, but other countries have the same skill level and more have even better skill level. Plus the system itself i think isn't really made to be a long term system. You can't always beg for professional players' mother teams. Look at the bracket where team ph is included, at the onset, you'll see there's little to no chance of beating serbia and italy.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 30, 2019, 12:54:29 PM
Nobody's gonna tell you a secret. The secret is that it is a secret. You may ask a question but you must find it yourself rather than count on someone to answer it.
Agree with you there is no secret in gambling the only thing id persons skills if one person has skills he will be the winner but one thing i would like to share is never give up and control you emotions, try to spend less amount of money at first so that  miner lose will not effect your mental condition and you will remain relax gradually time will make you an official gamblers

The best secret as a gambler is always set selfcontrol to avoid a lot of loses and yes I also agree also nobody can tell the secret and teach the full knowledge and skill as a gambler because someday it might the time the people or person you teach become an competitor.
Nobody could share it for sure cause what it meant to be a secret if they tell us? Cause if I have, I'll never say anything and I'll keep it in mind. Why? Because I don't want to be blame nor someone could point me for his losses.
Well, I agreed such self-control is very important, not only in gambling but in the other thing also.

Is there even such a thing? Most of us know how experienced gamblers become what they because they don't let what they're doing get to them. As cliche as it may sound, self control is the not so secret technique to be successful. It's mostly something that's out of someone's control when it comes to the outcome so the person who can maximize the things that he can control usually ends up a winner.
80  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I don't know how to trust a gambling site nowadays! on: August 30, 2019, 08:38:27 AM
I know for a fact that KYC is done in some gambling sites even those sites are trustworthy when you won a jackpot prize or a big prize. If you do win that you'll do a KYC and I think they will hold on to your prize for days if I can remember it right that's the thing they're doing.

This is not appropriate. I wouldn't play on a site that won't require a KYC when I win little money and when I'm lucky to win big, then they will require that I do a KYC. No, this shows no trust and being crafty. So if I'm not able to get my KYC done to their difficult standard, that is I forfeit my huge winning.

Yeah, and there have been several occasions when big time winners get mugged in their homes in the past. The good thing with crypto gambling is that you remain anonymous. I don't see why gambling sites would need your personal information. Probably for security? But you risk more by providing your information that can one day be leaked or accessed by unwanted people. Especially if you own quite a big amount in your account.
