61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thinking about selling? Good time? on: January 16, 2018, 12:27:31 PM
You day You made 1.2btc profit? Take domenica home. Io ti You how much. Ideally, paura back your entire stake (i.e. let s say You invested 15000 dollars in butcoin, sell enough to pay that back. And never look back when It goes up.

If You think the ride is over, then liquidate everything. Up to You. Just choose with your head.
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN rate plummets Discussion!! on: January 16, 2018, 10:44:05 AM
Guys, if you are scared, go away. sell every last dime you have and never look back.
This world will destory you.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am worried! on: January 16, 2018, 09:10:31 AM
Fear means one thing, and one thing only.

You either made extremely poor choices, or (well, AND) you are not cut to be here.

This is a madhouse, volatile, reckless, and irrational market. Suscepptible to emotion, manipulation, and moodswings that make bleeding 13 year old girls look like butter bisquits. Do not be afraid.
Fear is how not only you end up losing everything, it is also fucks with your health.

Do not be afraid. Yes, this might be the end. it's possible. chances are it's not, on balance, but nobody can predict it. If it IS the end, so be it. It will come wether you panicked or not. You'll just get there with your liver intact.

Now, IF you have money tied up in bitcoin you cannot afford to see vanis... first of all, know it's people like you that fuck the world. secondly, sell now, everything, at a loss. kep at most 1% of whatever you're holding and get out. never come back.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: evidence of bitcoin market manipulation on: January 16, 2018, 04:06:25 AM
I have no idea how one or two actors can drive the price of Bitcoin up nearly tenfold, so I'm not really buying it, but this would be a huge blow if it were real. There's also the question of higher prices meaning greater resistance to manipulation. It would be awesome if we had more facts. The article is pure FUD either way.

back in the Mt.Gox days there were very few traders, very few trades, very few exchanges, and, well, very few bitcoins around. Manipulation is easy when you control a large percentage of the traded7tradable currency, AND you control the majority of transactions.

As the article mentions, this today is unlikely to be what's happening to BTC itself, but it's more than possible that it's happening to plenty of altcoins, that are in similar if not worse situations of concentrated ownership and power.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can be applied to what technology? on: January 16, 2018, 03:08:39 AM
What do you mean with "internet records"?
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: evidence of bitcoin market manipulation on: January 16, 2018, 03:07:43 AM
Pulling Mt.Gox back into the picture in 2018 is... interesting. Clearly a poorly written hitpiece. There is a lot that can and should be said about crypto manipulation, but there again that would be a complex topic to eviscerate properly so let's just manipulate it even more with poorly ritten articles.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hype Down in BTC? on: January 16, 2018, 03:04:03 AM
Hype's a bad thing for markets in general, so good riddance. Now we need to flush out the losers that bought in without the mere basic understanding of what they were doing, then we'll bear for a while, and after that we'll see. Not really a massive problem. Growth is not the standard, it's the exception.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: January 16, 2018, 03:01:25 AM
You can buy grocieries in your next-door friendly neighborhood store, book tickets for the Bahamas online, pay for your kids school, and if you got a decent enough card you can even use it to relax in airport lounges while you wait for your flight.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: January 16, 2018, 01:04:34 AM
You've only been here since september but you shouldn't be here at all.

You're asking a question that not only nobody can answer, but one that you should be able to reason by yourself having looked at history. Why did you jump in in semptember without doing any of the required homework?

Anyhow, best answer I can give you is that last time we hit a bear market, prices went down further and didn't recover for a couple of years.

Bitcoin's astronomic ascent in the second half of 2017 is not the standard. It's not the way you should expect bitocin to ever move.

I've been here since 2010/1, and trust me when I tell you that if you don't start studying a lot harder you will get burnt. badly. Keep an eye on altcoins, too. If you look at the overall crypto cap you'll see there was more growing between when you camein and now.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 15, 2018, 05:42:40 PM
You people need a reality check, and to stop commenting on things that clearly are Beyond your competence.

It is shocking to read how many of you seem to think solar would be an environmentally friendly solution for mining, or how somehow renewable enrgy would be cheaper. You are the kind of people that push governments in taking poor decisions that eventually cause unimmaginable harm.

please, study. educate yourselves.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 14, 2018, 12:33:03 AM
You _actually_ think Bitcoin is the most polluting thing in the world? You think it's the biggest energy waster?

We are touching levels of pathetic here.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 13, 2018, 07:02:46 AM
Miners should absolutely consider renewable energy, particularly where it will save them money on the cost of electricity. If we want miners to ONLY use renewable energy, we need to make renewable energy cheaper than all other forms of energy.

In what world do you reckon renewable sources of energy are affordable for mining?
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing Bitcoin supply on: January 13, 2018, 06:54:56 AM
What if the late adopters become a mass majority and all want to increase the 21 million cap (which primarily hurts early adopters) and fork off? Will the early adopters (2008-2018) stick with the original bitcoin with lets say 1/10th the hash rate of the new inflation coin or will they succumb to the market and use the coin that is widely accepted and now more valuable than their non inflation coin that only early adopters care about?

Question is, why would a majority of newcommers want to increase the cap? what benefit would it bring them?
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 13, 2018, 06:53:48 AM
Some say that mining should be banned because of carbon dioxide emissions.
So I agree with topic starter: miners should invest on renewables, and also buy energy efficient asics (Bitmain for example)

Why so you think miners are mining with anything but the most efficient stuff they can put their hands on?

That true, miners should do start invest on renewable energy to run their mining. because as we now mining bitcoin use a lot of VGA and that VGA consume a lot of electricity energy. and that's mean electricity company would use more fossil fuels to produce electricity. in my opinion large crypto minner should have own electric source independently that separate form civilan electrity. and that independent electric source should be renewable energy.

VGA? Seriously, before commenting on a topic, make sure you at least have a basic understanding of the matter!
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 13, 2018, 06:51:34 AM
This will not only reduce the impact of Bitcoin on the environment. This will also increase the income at the Mining.

How would spending more money on energy increase income?
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN [MCO] MONACO #1 Cryptocurrency Payments Card on: January 13, 2018, 06:19:28 AM
Can you somehow stop whining about a feature that costs 9USD a YEAR and was replaced with a membership for Lounges that comes at 400+USD a year!
Thank you!

It like said $500000 on it! that was like, so much money!! -.-

If Monaco does have _one_ defect, but this is true of crypto in general, is that it's bringing things that were reserved for the elites to people who really don't udnerstand how to value, evaluate, and navigate a certain echelon of the word. Best we can do is hope these people learn quikcly and don't damage the image of the card.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 13, 2018, 06:00:05 AM
uhm, fossil fuel energy isn't going anywhere anytime soon...
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin consuming too much Electricity. on: January 13, 2018, 05:55:52 AM
First of all, "too much electricity" for who? What makes it too much?

But, perhaps more importantly, miners will Always move towards efficiency. They have the strongest incentive of any industry to minimize energy consumption. They generally speaking run the most efficient hardware in the world for what they are doing.

What makes you say that the energy consumed is too much?
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Navigate the Spikes and Dips in Crypto on: January 13, 2018, 02:56:54 AM
Advertising here is a little poor form IMHO. Your project looks very interesting, you should make an ANN thread in the Altcoin section.
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: usa police will sell bitcoins for billiards of usd so bitcoin will be killed to on: January 13, 2018, 01:24:39 AM
As long as they don't sell 'em for snooker tables, we're safe.

PS: Even if the DOJ still had major reserves of Bitcoin to sell (though I don't think they do, the major auctions have already taken place years ago), it wouldn't destroy the market. It would just increase liquidity at best.
