61  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mistakes when trade coin on: October 22, 2018, 06:59:42 AM
I think all newbies trader include me was doing all that mistake, and by this mistake we should be keep learn how
to be more expert trader.  Make profit by consistently from trading is not easy and many pro trader was make it in a few years.
Common mistakes commonly made by beginner traders are holding coins for so long, assuming that in a short time prices will rise, and much more. well, that also happened when I first got to know trading.

You may not blame them

as some of them is not keen on day trades

they could made mistakes only with the wrong coins they hold

Fundamentals is the key when holding or for the long term investments

63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to stop emails from nanopool.org: "XMR: Your workers has gone offline" on: October 20, 2018, 02:12:46 AM
I've recently switched my XMR (Monero) CPU miner from Claymore to XMR-stak. I've been mining with nanopool-dot-org. Since then I started receiving a lot of the following messages:

That reads:

Quote
Subject: XMR: Your workers "<worker>" has gone offline

Your worker "<worker>" has gone offline.
To check worker`s status follow this link:
http://xmr.nanopool.org/account/<wallet>/<worker>

Best regards
http://xmr.nanopool.org

This is an automated e-mail. Do not reply.

Note that I don't see any visible issues with the miner itself.

I clicked on the link in that message and it simply takes me to the graph and stats for my miner. There's nowhere I can see where I can cancel those emails.

Is there a way to stop these messages?

In the page of your miner Status there is button "Settings" beside JSON Data, Click the settings

in the settings page, you may now update your and delete the configured email address

if it doesn't work you may contact and email them at xmr@nanopool.org

64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Dubaicoin / ETH Classic with Custom ROM on: October 19, 2018, 02:08:21 PM
Hey guys,

i have a mining rigg with 8x  AMD 570. Each card has a custom ROM for mining ETH.
Since ETH is not making any money at all i wanted to change to dubai coin or ETH Classic.

Before i kill my GPUs i wanted to ask if i have to change the GPU back to original ROM or can i just use my custom ROM also for ETH classic and Dubaicoin?

Thanks in advanc

No need to mod back to stock, you could use its current ROM

Just configure the miner in the correct settings according to mining pool

and reboot
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to reduce stale shares?? on: October 18, 2018, 06:41:45 AM
Soo, with the 2100mhs mclock I was able to reduce the stales to 4-5, which is waaay better than the 9+ perm.  Grin
The effect on the hashes is hardly noticeable. Seems like the only thing I am going to tweak is the power consumption from now on. Really happy with the results for now.
Thanks for the tips guys!

Please bear with me, I am a newbie into mining. I don't know how to tweak claymore. I would like to know how do you set the memclock. I have good internet connection. But I also want to reduce the stales I got when mining with ethermine.

A lot of ways setting mem clocks

If you are using Claymore miner you could do this by adding parameters in your .bat file thru -mclock

example: EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal 0xd69af2a796a737a103f12d2f0bcc563a13900e6f -epsw x -eworker rig1 -mclock 2100

you could also use Overclocking tool like MSI AfterBurner or Overdrive Tool to set your clocks

66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitmex Bots on: October 16, 2018, 02:19:38 PM
I haven't really seen many bots available that support bitmex. I have tried mixtoco.in and it seems like a new underdeveloped project that doesn't really work. Anyone have any info on bots available for bitmex? preferably ones that have proven profits before?

Thank you all.

I don't have any experience with trading bots, but are you not charged a fee for using a bot or maybe pay a once off fee? Is it then really worth it?
its an app and they have a licence to use, not actually a fee
A one time payment depends on the trading bots
some offer a per exchange license with perpetual updates
Why you guys need to use a bot? Don't you think it's inefficient to do trading and the risk of using it especially in bitmex. Are you on leverage trading?

Technically, this trading bots aren't for beginners since you still need to know the parameters that should be use otherwise it could lead to destabilize your profit thus it won't guarantee a passive income. Don't easily rely on this, a lot of scam and software malfunction pop in the market.

Plan to use it not on margin trading

Probably for ordinary trades, doing its job while you were sleeping

there are must do on these bots, and definitely not for trading beginners

it usually align with indicators, so a newb might not get what are those
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: any miners use team viewer to remote check in? on: October 15, 2018, 01:11:51 AM
does anyone remote connect to your internet company and go into your miners from there?

yep, I do that

just ensure that your company policies allowed it

most probably on security or firewall policies allowing remote connections

74  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Margin Trading during a possible bull market? on: October 11, 2018, 03:03:18 AM
A possible bull market may be emerging. I've just learned about margin trading.

Bitmex is the most popular platform for margin trading Bitcoin? I know this method of trading is EXTREMELY risky. Do you have any recommended guides for being a successful margin trader? Of course the master will not share their secrets, but there has to be a quality guide or information out there.
This is actually not about the master sharing his strategies; this is about knowing what you want to embark on. There are so many strategies anyone can make use of to make the best of the market, but even if you share it as a professional trader, it is someone who already understands the basic that would be able to get what you are telling them. What is important is for you to learn and even though you want to go the marginal way, which is good you already understand the risks, then you will want to make sure you have all the normal market knowledge as well as trading knowledge you need to do it right.

I am now considering to stay away from this scammy bitmex

75  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to trade altcoins? on: October 11, 2018, 02:16:51 AM
as you said, the smaller the volume, the more volatile it will be. but also easily shrinks

I would disagree with this, logically the higher the volume the higher its volatility

yes, the value of altcoin fluctuations is faster than bitcoin, so to make daily profits can still be done.

Geez, could you name an altcoin more volatile than BTC?

As you could see, majority of alts are price dependent on bitcoin in terms of volatility

76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Profit mining calculator on: October 08, 2018, 11:27:11 PM
so what it differs to other online calculators out there?

And why do we need to get Credentials in order to use it?

I am particular on functionality side, if it does very helpful on picking coins to mine, I'll add to my bookmark

otherwise its a crappy one

77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v11.9 (Windows/Linux) on: October 08, 2018, 02:43:22 PM
Hi,

thanks for this soft, perfect.

I've a question. With 4 GTX570 4gb Nitro + Ellesmere how i can up the Hashrate ? 13.7Mh/s for the moment.

thx

Hi.
Best way to increase hashrate is to mod bios on your gpus and then overclock memory, underclock core, and undervolt both memory and core to decrease power consumption.
This is a really good tutorial (https://mining.help/) and it will help you understand which necessary steps you need to take to get the most out of your gpus.

In the guide provided, take note of the driver portion

this  "Mining(Compute) Driver Mode"

Basically, normal Hash on Rx570 not modded is above 20+ Mh/s

modded will be around 29+ Mh/s

78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to set minimum fan speed in bios ? on: October 08, 2018, 08:31:50 AM
there were some challenges setting fan speed in PBE

https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/6hh39v/amd_polaris_bios_editor_set_min_fan_speed/

I rather use other 3rd party app in controlling fans

MSI AB and Overdriven Tool

Miner app can also control this like Claymore in -tt options
79  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear time is near to end on: October 07, 2018, 11:27:54 PM
I am sure that the market will soon recover and we can party like last year, the most important thing to do is to keep abreast of the latest developments of the projects we follow and of course take action immediately.
Hope there is a way to party again and bear season will end. We are in the 4th quarter and expect for surprises but it looks like market isn't showing progress for the bullish season. Hope there is a twist even a little so people won't be really disappointed before the year end.

The chart says it

but it doesn't say exactly when

And it does not actually closed the bottom

It might actually go beyond after December and probably go down a little deeper below 6k before going up
80  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Crash on: October 07, 2018, 09:43:31 AM
