I agree, it can not influence the hacking of a small exchange on the price of bitcoins.
I would like to understand if they have stolen private keys directly or have stolen funds indirectly by acting on the exchange database

Considering the aspects of scarcity and exchange: they have in common that they are finite resources but regarding bitcoin we know immediately how many there will be in all and hasn't no logistic problems related to the transport,however, bitcoin relies heavily on the internet to be moved

Im 100% sure that they manage that, for sure that the ""Hacker"" is the owner of cryptopia.
Cryptopia is an top exchange and they cant store more than 50% of cryptocurrency on offline wallet ? how stupid can be ?
Also !!! : if i remember cryptopia have 2k withdraw limit per day, how hackers manage that ? How they break that system ? as i know cryptopia say " Withdraw limit for security " ..... Another scamm exchange

I intend to keep buying some of these coins with spare Money as time goes but can't make up my mind on which to buy first now

My advice is to create a portfolio by dividing it into 3 parts: 1) low risk (60%): btc, eth 2) medium risk (30%): among the first 30 crypto ... xmr, xtl, xrp, vet, iota, eos, neo. 3) high risk (10%): altcoins over 30 position |

Some advice: choose a platform with high liquidity and learn how to use it. The easiest to use in my opinion are: bittrex, poloniex, binance. Do not keep all your funds on the exchanges and store them safely because remember: you own cryptovaluta only if you have private keys, eachone is the bank of himself in this ecosystem.

All markets have speculative cycles and all of them are characterized by a phase of euphoria (a significant increase in prices, which has resulted in a huge increase in demand in a short period of time) and a phase of exhaustion of euphoria (bursting of the bubble). During the bearmarket (2018) the fundamentals have grown, so I see 2019 as a re-start and correlation between fundamentals and price.

Firstly, I will like to congratulate all of us that started last year and today according to my country calendar we are in new year in health and prosperity. I wish all of us traders well.
From all indications the cryptocurrencies market and bitcoin in particular has not seen to be in the bottom yet and the bears are more ready to pull down the price further. We don't even know accurately were the bottom is and according to some speculators bitcoin might go below $3000 before we can see good recovery.
My question is this: were did you think Bitcoin's price will be at this time next year and What are your thoughts and technical reasons why bitcoin will not go beyond $3000? Your views will be appreciated. Thank.
Personally I think that the price of bitcoin during 2019 will have a more mature and more credible trend .. during 2018 the price did not react to the fundamentals that instead have grown a lot creating an interesting ground for the entrance of the institutionals and for the adoption. During 2019 I expect a positive price reaction but not a speculative bubble as happened during 2017. |

first of all it is good to always aim for an exchange with high liquidity. then it depends on what you are looking for: platform with simple/intermediate tools: bittrex, poloniex, binance; platform with more advanced: bitfinex, bitmex tools

I think in the next year 2019, Ethereum will be the best crypto to invest in the long-term. Although at the moment, the price of ETH is only $90 but the sharp declining due to the holding ETH of the investors and the ICO project. 1) How are the remaining FREE released and with what a time frame?
2) total supply is a value that can increase?
