22  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: February 08, 2019, 12:22:49 AM
How can we get people to use bitcoin as a real currency and not just a quick way to get cash as a lot of people seem to do? When I say currency, I mean the literal definition of currency as something that is used as a medium of exchange.
Even online, there are only a few stores who are accepting it as payment.

In my opinion people will be convinced by themselves with time. Adoption requires a physiological time to be realized. I think we are at a good point: many big companies have started blockchain projects and partnerships and the whole ecosystem is always around bitcoin, so it will be the first to be adopted imho
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Will people come back to gold on: February 08, 2019, 12:17:15 AM
With the current economy, the fears about the Brexit, Italy, the Sino-American problems and the general pessimism among investors; It looks like Gold is coming back the past months. At the same time, countries like the EU, Japan & China are reducing their investments in the economy,
(it should also reduce demand for the USD?)

Even the Central banks are buying more Gold (+13% from the previous year). Economists predict a dark year for 2019 and it seems a lot of large funds are now buying Gold massively. Especially from Asia and Soviets.

Gold for millennia is always the best shelter. I think that in the future it will also be bitcoin given that it enjoys scarcity and extract it has a cost, just like gold.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what is the best device for mining on: February 08, 2019, 12:11:59 AM
what is the best mining device in terms of profit and price ?
i want to know how long i can take advantage of the device??

It depends on how much electricity costs you. However if you want to undermine: ASIC or GPU. The GPU is more versatile and when it's obsolete for mining you can always use it for gaming or editing.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investment of bitcoin on: February 07, 2019, 11:59:09 PM
How can i invest a small amount of bitcoin as a start to me?
what is the best way?

One of the simplest methods is to do everything at https://www.blockchain.com: you can buy bitcoins directly with credit cards or bank transfer and manage them in the platform wallet. The platform has a very simple guide that explains everything from a to z

interesting project, building an economy with reviews will surely increase its reliability compared to current platforms. do you already have an MVP?
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep the BitCoins Safe? on: February 06, 2019, 08:45:16 PM
Hack and Hacks, every day I am waking up to the news of crypto exchanges getting hacked, recently a crypto exchanges founder died and he seem to have a hold of $190 million worth of BitCoins with him.
I have taken a pledge of never using a custodial exchanges, even if it is Binance, and not matter how much CZ says that he will keep the cryptos SAFU, I am not doing the mistake of keeping my money at stake.

I did a detailed study of what exchanges to use and what wallets to use -

  • Exchanges - Instant exchanges only, Changelly, ChangeNow, CoinSwitch etc.
  • Wallets - Divided into two parts - Ledger NANO S for long term investment, and keeping the funds safe, MultiCurrency wallet for trading, ex - Gaurda Wallet, Exodus Wallet

Let me know what you guys think.

about the wallets I agree, the crypto are ours only if you have the private keys. as far as instantaneous exchanges are concerned, in my opinion it is not relevant; on the contrary, I prefer to trade on a slower platform but with a greater history than recent instant exchanges that usually apply high fees
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin matured as a currency? on: February 06, 2019, 08:36:12 PM
In 2017/2018 with the sharp increase in the price to the ATH of $18 000+, people were saying that Bitcoin can never be a currency with that kind of fluctuation and volatility in the price.

In the 3rd & 4th quater of 2018 up to Jan 2019, we have experienced a correction from that ATH and we are seeing much less volatility in the price. <The price hovering between $3500 and $4000>

Would you say that Bitcoin has shed it's speculator skin and emerged as a true currency, after this correction? I think with most of  the speculators left the Bitcoin scene in the last year or so and Bitcoin has truly transformed into a community of people who are more interested in the technology and using the technology as a currency. <This explains the stable price>  Huh

Let's discuss, because I am very curious in what you opinions are about this.

Bitcoin I first see it as a store of value and then as currency. The intensity of both depends on the degree of adoption. The adoption is increasing: every use case of whatever cryptocurrencies indirectly generates bitcoin popularity increase. The number of large companies and even states that promote solutions with blockchain technology is significantly increasing
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 best year for ICO on: February 06, 2019, 08:25:53 PM
I bet we will see better and baddass projects in 2020 simply because bitcoin halving is 2020 ,since what most devs care about is market condition and fear of dumping there tokens 2020 will be a better target for upcoming projects  and that doesn't mean there won't be scam projects too ,profits is all we care about isn't it?

I think there will certainly be a new bullrun but the pieces on play will be different than those of 2017, there will be more protection and less scam
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Concerning the future of bounty programs on: February 06, 2019, 08:22:44 PM
Market downturn is probably one of the main reasons why ICO projects can't last long and joining their bounty program is useless and a time waster. Due to the fact that the market goes into nosedive, ICOs are forced to cash out some funds in order to survive. However, it is not enough which is why some of them decide to cancel their ICOs and return the funds of the investors. It means if you have promoted their ICO way back then as a bounty hunter, your time and effort was put to waste. You might be given tokens, but dormant and unusable.

Been there, done that. I have experienced a lot as a bounty hunter in which all of my hardwork (even some stakes are average to high, sometimes low) was put to waste because of their sudden cancellations, closure of their ICOs, and the worst part is that when we fall of those programs with fake team or so, they would run away with the investors' funds and our reputation would be affected due to promoting them on social media or so.

On top of that, most of their tokens are going downhill the day they started integrating themselves in centralised or decentralised exchanges. Even if they choose to lock it on a certain period of time, it's definitely no use because they're still affected by the dump in which everything is unregulated and uncontrolled.

The future of ICOs and bounty programs are at stake due to the market downturn, and it goes even deeper than that. It looks like it'll take years for us to see the bull run, or maybe no chance at all.

If you are participating in any ICOs or joining as bounty hunters, what do you think about this? Let me hear your opinion on this guys! Thank you.

I think that the cryptocurrencies were a niche sector ... now it is expanding and different new players are coming into play. the ico and the bounty campaigns of 2017 made much because we were inside a speculative bubble. Now the market has made a profound correction and all that is overestimated is sweeping it away.

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be put to an end? on: January 31, 2019, 05:51:22 PM
It seems to me that there are new projects everyday in this Crypto industry. This has made me to think about the total number of fiat currencies in the world. I got to know that there are about 180 fiat currencies recognized by the UN.  CMC recognizes 2094 cryptocurrencies as at now.  Looking at the difference, do you think it'll help us to compete with fiats?
How does the numerous cryptocurrencies affect the growth of our Crypto industry.
Will putting an end to ICOS do something good in the crypto industry?

I do not think the ICOs disappear, I think they will evolve and they have already done so. Doing a successful ico now requires many more attributes than the first ones.
33  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance introduces Credit Card support for purchase of Cryptocurrencies on: January 31, 2019, 05:34:09 PM
Binance has done it. It has bought back credit card support. And this was desperately needed. Last year many banks combined banned purchase of Bitcoins on Credit card. Now Binance bringing this back, we can expect some news users joining the space Smiley

Article: https://blockmanity.com/news/exchanges/binance-introduces-credit-card-support-for-bitcoin-btc-ethereum-eth-litecoin-ltc-and-xrp/

This is great news! it means that many people can easily enter the world of cryptocurrencies more easily. everything that simplifies increases adoption!
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what is bitcoin for a 7 year old kid in few words on: January 31, 2019, 05:29:08 PM
Hi there
What's the most simple way to describe what bitcoin is for people?
Will be cool to read in the comments some new creative ways to do that! Grin

Bitcoin is a coin that is exchanged through a particular ledger called blockchain. The ledger contains all the transactions, each defined by the sender's address, the address of the recipient and the quantity exchanged. Each page of the ledger is called a block, a page is written every 10 minutes. what distinguishes this ledger is high security: nobody can steal it, nobody can change it
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to promote an ICO on: January 30, 2019, 11:01:30 PM
In your opinion which is the best way to promote an ICO at initial level to create buzz?  Do you think Ann threads are enough for that and how much is the role of bounty campaigns in that?

I think it's not only important how to do it but also when doing an ico, the bear market teaches that it's not a good time to do ICO, unless the project is very valid and already has a solid basis Smiley
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: January 30, 2019, 10:56:50 PM
Because of the increase in the number of platforms requesting documents, the number of falsifications and documents stolen and sold on the black market has increased ... this situation is impressive
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Profits In 2018 Bear Market on: January 30, 2019, 10:52:55 PM
Well i understand this might sound awkward to an extent but the truth must be told. I used to be among those who cry and weep as a result of the bear market, But this period have taught me a lot in the cryptocurrency space. I am not ashamed to say i got a consideration good reward from participating in numerous Bounty. Thereafter most times the token i got from this Bounty dropped in price and value almost immediately after listing in exchange.

What Did I Do?
Instead of waiting for imaginary pump to occur, i study the market, trade with those token and successfully i have been able to double my token and at the same time double my reward with considerable profits made from trading such tokens.

This is a call to everyone out there, either Investors, Bounty Participants as the case maybe or traders. Instead of crying daily or keep checking your portfolio to see how easy it is for tokens in your disposal dip in price, you can actually carry out this trade an make some good profits. The earlier you learn how to trade the better it will be to save those digital assets of Yours. Because it is possible for you to trade those token, take out your profit and still have an equivalent amount of that token.

Remember, this is not a financial advise nor neither am i a financial adviser. Just trying to point out what has been working for me and i have been able to do it multiple times and cash out my profits during the bear markets.

All The Best Guys  Cool

I agree, hold of your gain only on the basis of hope isn't a good way to manage one's laboriously accumulated capital. it's important to know how to sell, above all!
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: January 30, 2019, 10:41:53 PM
Regulation is both good and bad: it is bad for the market during the transition, while it is a good in the long run. Centralized and decentralized world must have a point of contact: the regulation
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO MARKET SITUATION. on: January 30, 2019, 10:39:21 PM
I am convinced that the bull market will return, but I believe that it is necessary an adjustment the market before the restart: 2019/2020
