61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 31, 2017, 11:04:05 AM
I think that the prices here are very cheap...
SELL 4000 Komodo for 7,2 BTC  ---> 0.0018 BTC/KMD, if you interested.
Why is this crap even being posted right now? You do realize you can buy 4000 Komodo on poloniex.com right now via BTCD conversion for a total cost of 0.56 BTC. You're currently asking for 13x the going rate AND someone would have to take the risk of buying the coins from a stranger. You're either delusional or trying to take advantage of someone who doesn't know better. Pretty much everybody in this thread is guilty of this.

Over 1 million Btcd swapped for KMD and climbing. How long do you think it's going to take the rest to be converted? Also the conversion rate decreased everyday for 12 months, speeding up the process. We may KMD prices overtake Btcd quicker than you think.

Cryptocurrencies can become popular within a short period of time in today's age, and they have higher chances of becoming popular if they have a name that is widely accepted and equally liked among different cultures. Bitcoin is such a name. Byteball, as well, is a very attractive and nice name for a cryptocurrency project that embraces simplicity and elegant technology. Along with a new consensus algorithm and untraceable payments, as well as chat built in from the beginning, this one is one to observe and get involved in.
You said it man.

Byteball, like snowball but instead of snow, bytes are rolling.

Byteball really needs a community manager who can reach out to exchanges and organize marketing, etc...
Maybe, but I wouldnt do that yet, to reach exchanges - those places are filled with "altcoin traders", an echo-chamber of the same people. To reach a wider audience, to gain more actual users and not speculators, we need to reach channels where altcoiners are not present. Niches where geeks do not hang around. Mom forums. Those kind of places, where you wouldnt think to mention byteball, but we do need it, to diversify and grow userbase. To learn what they need, what is difficult in the current wallet, to remove any obstacles for them to "pay" with very small price for something they want.

Exchanges are easy, every currency will get there, but to reach actual users is hard, and thats why its more worth to (begin) doing.

It would be nice with digital-service webshop, like "Send us bytes, which you can buy with PayPal/Visa/MasterCard from here ..., to receive access to ad-free content or gain imaginary karma-points on a forum". Must have something of worth for people to start and use a wallet over.

The more stuff you can buy, the more success byteball will have.

I too had a limited idea of the potential of byteball and was encouraging exchanges to get on board to give me a clear exit point financially. Oh, how wrong I was and after reading posts on this thread, major exchanges is the last thing that BB needs. I agree with your previous post that as long at dev holds so much BB, no major exchange in their right mind is going to go near it in the short term.

What I do feel we need is a forum on byteball.org similar to bitsquare.io This thread is a total mess and it's hard to find the gems in all the rough. Slack moves too fast and although the quick fire chat is appealing to some, there may be a wealth of applications waiting for contribution and a single thread doesn't allow for that.

Is the logo fixed or just a holding white space for future design? I get simplicity is beauty but people need from a brand perspective, it won't work. We live in a world of symbolism and if we want mass adoption, they need to buy in to a symbol/logo/brand.

Does anyone know what is required to get byteball added to shapeshift? Do they also want some kinda bribe like bittrex?
Why do you want to use exchanges? There is a bitecoin-byteball trading chat-bot in the default wallet installation, you can buy/sell btc/bytes, no need for somebody else holding your money for you while you trade.

A truly decentralized p2p trading platform is possible with byteball. Not necessary to send your bitcoins/bytes to somebody else just to trade.  Cool

I feel this thread is constant reel of "how do I receive bb in next distro". With them happening every month or so, it going to get pretty frikkin tedious.

Can the team edit the OS and we can direct people to page 1?

Also how about we collate the subtle advantages of BB (like circumnavigate shapeshift for example) and Tony can add it somewhere so people know what they can use BB for at present?
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 30, 2017, 07:58:21 AM
why dev dont pay 5BTC and go to Bittrex ?

I don't think there's any point to go to Bittrex, we have an exchange for byteball, and it trades well, so if you want to trade, just go there. On the contrary, we do need an exchange for blackbyte.

BTW, when February distribution will happen?

For keeping Blackbytes anonymous, trading at exchanges is the wrong way. There will be escrow contracts for  trustless trading bb soon.
Fantastic. Anything that encourages OTC and keeps crypto P2P is a step in the right direction.

Would byteball chat ever be able to handle group conversations in same thread? Multiple devices concurrently?
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 30, 2017, 04:02:06 AM
I will not sell nothing until 0.01,If BTCD climbed to 0.015,KMD can repeat it again.Only patience.I think KMD will be listed on Polo soon, like happened with Unity and BTCD,patience

BTCD price back up to 0.0085 so you might see that 0.01 again before it's transition to KMD  Grin

Hi
1 I have BTCD in my wallet ( since few months)
2 Also on exchange
What should I do in both situations ?
 Smiley

go to ico site
login
click swap
copy address
send btcd in exchange to that address
swap is automatic as soon as confirmed in ico site.

Would updating windows wallet reset the transition bot meaning I would have to re-link?
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 29, 2017, 09:15:22 PM
All sellers. It means that these people think KMD will go down.

No buyers.

Do not show your fear. Is KMD that bad?

There are no buyers because KMD has not been distributed yet. You will see a lot of buyers pop up after the distribution is done on 31st. And no, KMD is not bad. It is bleeping awesome. Iguana and Easydex will change the status quo and people just do not know it yet. People who see the big picture see the value in KMD  Wink
There is no buyers not because KMD is not distributed but because there is still a chance to buy KMD cheap because of BTCD swap.People are smart amd they want to buy at lowest possible price they can get.If someone prefer to sell below BTCD to KMD swap rate,he would get many buyers.
But sellers are samrt too. They know that eventually they will sell it at good price Wink

You are right. But the amount of BTCD available in the exchange is miniscule and it has risen considerably in value leading up to the KMD distribution. 80-90 BTC worth of BTCD purchase will put KMD price at the asking rate of the offers here. 70% of BTCD has already been swapped. Assuming 10% of BTCD lost due misplaced private keys/wallets, there is only 20 % left.

I put up a sell order not because I expect to find a buyer right now. But, I think BTCD value will go up considerably and there will not be any cheap BTCD left to buy and that is when KMD buyers will start popping up. Ofcourse, buyers are smart but they only invest if they see the value. Once they see what Iguana and Easydex are upto, they will instantly see the value in KMD.

I second that. For me,  this thread is a "that is my minimum sale price" and only represents 10% of my KMD holdings. When you look at what DASH, ETH and XMR represent (not that much at present in my opinion) and they all trade in the 0.01 range, compared to the capabilites of Komodo project, 0.0021 to me sounds undervalued when the project is in full swing.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 28, 2017, 10:16:22 PM
price on POLO (BTCD--swap--KMD) is about 0,000121 BTC per KMD

But not for long so as I see it, come the 31st the above prices will become market price (and maybe too cheap)
I don't know if people on this thread realize you can get KMD via the BTCD swap for about 1/10th the price they are asking for right now
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Komodo Trading Thread /w escrow on: January 28, 2017, 09:52:15 PM
SELL 5000 Komodo for 10.5 BTC  ---> 0.0021 BTC/KMD

Can I send the micropayment from a jaxx wallet to prove my btc balance?

JAXX used HD Wallets as far as I know, so no. Use Electrum and sign and message might be the easiest way.

There is nothing wrong with HD as long as the private keys are controlled by you (the user).

Except you can't sign a message with JAXX and when you send the micro tx,  it'll change your address rendering the link useless. Use Electrum to sign, easiest method unless you can still sign messages in mycelium.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: January 27, 2017, 10:13:16 AM
So am I misunderstanding this, or do we just wait for windows release of wallet? And is this a Komodo wallet or is it Iguana? Or Supernet wallet? I'm really confused about this so sorry, but I just wanna know where I can get the KMD payout to

Agreed, it is all a little confusing. So many names and labels and many similar titles. "KMD"  and "KMD Wallet"  would have been simple. It's crypto land though, everything here works back to front and upside down.

Date for ICO? Or has boat sailed?

How anonymous is this compared to NAV and BLACKBYTES?  I see the other comparisons but not those two

Total newbie here - reading through the past few pages left me with a migraine  Huh

Can anyone share a link/details on how one could get started with BYTEBALL?  Looking to test the waters  Smiley

Click page 180 for how to link btc.

Any info on who the twelve validating witnesses are atm? I'm assuming they're just twelve servers being run by tonych, but curious if there is any more info available.

I think the plan is to vote for witnesses much like Komodo is doing at the moment to secure decentralization issue that you focused on in your past posts when comparing to XMR.

Maybe one of the more knowledgable guys can confirm?
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 26, 2017, 09:14:43 PM

I WTB up to 500 GB for 5 btc. Also buying up to 1000 GBB for 1 btc.

me too ^^. On a more serious note, I don't think there's anyone who would be willing to sell at these prices for the time being ... At worst they can go dump 500 GB on cryptox and they will get way more than that.

True, 20GB will cost you about 1btc on cryptonix.pl and most people think you'd be a fool to sell at that price.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo ICO - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: January 26, 2017, 10:03:04 AM
We have 5 days more till the KMD distribution. By that time hopefully wallet is ready for download.

Well,  unless there is an exchange wallet to send them too and trade, there can't be distributed unless all wallets are bug free and in the wild. Komodo won't fuck it up though, they've fixed the dates so can't see them not delivering on it.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: January 26, 2017, 09:55:32 AM
how about bittrex?
also we do need more exchange platform.

Bittrex is ideal, not too big, decent interface, shed a load of shit coins recently so I'm sure would love this addition

Can I ask what's the long term goals of the NAV dev team? Is anon payments the main focus for this coin?
