61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: December 19, 2018, 11:05:40 AM
Finally a good ICO. At least we will be ending this year with a bang. Solid whitepaper and backed by Theymos and bitcointalk community. Also, we cannot deny the project's celebrity promoters. They're so popular which means this is worth a billion project in less than a year. Grin
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 16, 2018, 03:22:19 AM
Simple solution. Take, say, 10% of your "new" profit on the way up.

Say you have 1000 as a baseline, you go up to 2000, you take out (2000-1000)*0.1 = 100.

Now you go from 1900 to 3900, and take out (3900-1900)*0.1 = 200.

That's what JayJaunGee told me he does, and that's indeed a very powerful strategy. I got almost 7x, and if I had taken 10% out I would be much more relaxed now.

This strategy allows you to become rich and protect you from becoming poor lol

Provides some insurance without gambling too much of your stash.

You can find an amount that works for you, including a similar ratio that is cashing out 1% for every 10% the price goes up.

Of course, if you might become less nervous as you are able to have bitcoins and cash stacked up, and accordingly, you might later begin to attempt to wait for BIGGER ranges.

Some folks suggest that you might not want to cash out any BTC until it reaches at least a certain point, such as 2x or 5x, but in the end, it is good to tailor your own thinking and comfort level on the topic.
I structured some of my initial ideas around rpietila's simple sane savings discussion in this thread.  Ironic, perhaps, that he would be a "sane" recommender... hahahahaha
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.0

I found much of what he said fascinating..when he wasn't frying balls. Later..not so much. Here Jjg..some light reading for in between candle watching..
http://consc.net/event/reef/huntkicking.pdf

If only I read this and realized the risks earlier. I continued to hodl nearly all my bitcoins and alts. And now it seems I need a job in 2019. Cry Cry Cry

Do you people think NASDAQ will still list bitcoin?
63  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 14, 2018, 02:13:38 PM
Raptors, no matter how much people see them as favorites are not really in the title contention in my eye. Sixers specially with butler addition is much bigger contender. Celtics are amazing on defense but suck sooo much on offense so Sixers can be the deadliest team on the east if Butler doesn't become diva again.
I think its too early to say that they are not a title contender because their roster is better than the previous roster for me. With Kawhi and Lowry who are both good on defense, I think what lacks for them is the offensive part but I know that other players will do it.

Sixers?? I know that acquiring Butler on the team is a good move for them but lets see if they will blend to each other. They will have a game against Orlando tomorrow. Lets see how they will play with each other.

Yes. It is too very early to tell. Butler is yet to fit with the Sixers while Raptors may end up trading Kahwi if they cannot secure him a solid contract. Honestly, I like the Raptors. They're a good fit and they will improve more.

Monthly Update October

Here are six of the most important events that have happened to Edgeless during the beginning of Q4.

https://www.edgeless.io/blog/monthly-update-october

Wow Edgeless featured on Blockchain suprstar which has big influence in world of crypto. This is good news the team staert marketing campaign for this platform to spread words and make involve majority of the people in this project. I hope in future this will get more importance.

The license and a real land based casino will become big if it happens. I can see some people getting desperate here. But the thing is it is not just Edgeless that is having hard time here because generally the overall market isn't performing well yet.

Cool decent numbers. Mr. Lutpin I can see your name with some huge investments there. Are you the owner or partially? Or just someone with big investments there? You know the owner/s personally? Thanks.
66  Economy / Gambling / Re: everybet.io, a new bitcoin-based sports betting website is now live! on: November 07, 2018, 03:03:57 PM
I wish the new site the best of luck. There are many betting and casino sites online. It would be interesting to see a Bitcoin-based one and see how it makes out. You have lots of competition. Besides the fact that you have a Bitcoin option as a USP, other sites have very high quality software and silky-smooth graphics to make their sites extremely plush and give the 'Live Casino' atmosphere. Anyway, wishing you the best of luck. We need more Bitcoin-based sites and I hope it's a success for you.
Why do you wish a casino that lies about its license where issues are preprogrammed best of luck?

Are you a hater who wants to see victims suffer?

This casino don't have a real license? Is the team behind this casino going to answer this and present some valid proofs? If you want to gain solid followers here in bitcointalk.

You may be right if they are going to ignore you.

Hmm. Some of those altcoin investor gains are looking good. Bitcoin gains aren't really that big since most investors are into it. I might invest most of my sleeping altcoins while the market is still waiting for a recovery.

This is not easy as it takes time and effort but Edgeless needs more exposure. Maybe exciting promos, more games and marketing like a signature campaign here will help too. I still think this project becomes big soon.
69  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 01, 2018, 11:26:51 AM
It is incredible that klay broke the record with time left on the third quarter, I mean THIRD quarter for christ sake, there was 4th there as well. He could have easily made 20+ threes in a game if he stayed in the game and they kept feeding him the ball.
Klay Thompson is the one player capable of breaking Curry's record of 3's made in a single game. I just remembered that 3 point shooting contest on the all star game that Klay beat Steph in the final round. This makes the Warriors a very scary team for now in the NBA, looks like they are just on a shoot-around and toying with their opponent.
The Warriors is a tough team to beat even before the arrival of Kevin Durant. Having those trio of Durant, Curry and Thompson in a team is a envy to every team owner around the association. For now they are the barometer for every team on how they would rebuild just to match the offensive fire power of the GSW.

LBJ is almost running of patience  Smiley. I would not be surprise on seeing some of those Lakers being traded.

It's still early though but it looks like Lebron wants to see things better already. It is possible that they might still acquire Leonard thru a trade though Raptors is starting great with their undefeated record. Things will start to shake before trade deadlines.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ✅ [ANN] DeepOnion ONION 🌍 Private Digital Currency 🌍 DeepVault App Released ✅ on: October 14, 2018, 01:27:17 AM
Your project looks very interesting and promising, I am impressed with your concepts and the implementations. Your whitepaper have whole acknowledgment of the project. Its very helpful those users who are find the specific project so this project is very impressive. SO keep it up guys and all the best for the future. Cheesy
Yeah i agree DeepOnion has the best devs and supportive members. They all work to help this project achieve more and grow even bigger.

Been looking at this coin for a long time as this is also traded in Kucoin. But volume is dropping now. Maybe a reward on the highest volume traded gets a reward just like what some coins are doing on Kucoin, Binance and other exchanges.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ADEX]*new thread* - AdEx Network - Decentralized Ad Network on: October 04, 2018, 11:17:26 AM
You are right finally market has started to signs positively with this small increase backed by over $6 millions volume tells many thing if your look at this carefully. ADX will rebound its market in shortest possible time because of being on large exchanges and still active trading in millions on daily basis. This time markets are adopting way of slow but steady increase.
The entire marketcap is still stable at $200 billion.
We need a good spike on bitcoin in order to reach $300 billion the everything will come easy as people get FOMOd again.
ADEX will surely rise just like in times of bearish period in the past years, it will always rebound as it's a legitimate project with big supporters.

ADEX is one of the best projects here in crypto that are still in very low capitalization. Also I agree that ADEX supporters have nothing to worry when it comes to exchanges and volume since this is listed in the top and its volume is in hundreds of thousands. This will be in millions once the market recovers.
72  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paying for education on: September 17, 2018, 10:59:58 AM
I really haven't paid even once on trading and investing seminars. But I did tried once paying a forex trader that introduced to us a pro. We ended up losing overall and I lost nearly a thousand dollars too. Still the best way is educating yourself thru books and some good guides in the internet. All are free.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ITO] CryptoDime - Future's Virtual Present on: September 05, 2018, 03:24:58 AM
The project is very good and we believe in the development team

Really? Are you even paying attention?

The site from cryptodime has disapeard, as well the facebook and twitter pages. Anyone knows something about Cryptodime?
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOURCHAIN - Let's Make Crypto YOURS Again! on: August 23, 2018, 02:27:59 AM
i almost can't believe that someone with a legendary acount , use his account to fool a lot of people for more then a year but as i understand he fooled more people this way , i think dev is all in himself at Rchain with the money earned with selling YOURCHAIN

There was no ICO here. Dev was just trying to create a better one than RChain that conducts an ICO and was able to collect lots of money. NOw dev probably realized it is not that easy without a working capital. He lost some time and effort in the early stage here. But he never fooled more people as what you believe. You must be crying with those 100k tokens there. And you didn't even spent a dime on it.  Tongue Cheesy
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Ways to Avoid Bitcoin Scams on: August 11, 2018, 10:25:46 AM
Yeah, these are the best ways to avoid scams. But I think many people invest to buy scammy cryptocurrencies. Because most of the time they can’t understand which are fake or original. So, they got trapped.

That is not a valid excuse. No people will get trapped if all have due diligence in doing research.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your altcoin on: July 30, 2018, 03:49:46 PM
The only safe way to store you alts is to store them in a hardware wallet such as Ledger or Trezor. When you generate a seed using a hardware wallet it is not shared with the computer system and hence even if your computer is having any kind of malware or virus, the seed can never be compromised

It would be too hassle though when you are an active trading or just holding it for few weeks or days. And some of these coins have either very expensive transaction fees or very very slow in sending and receiving. An updated anti virus and extra careful on our pc/laptops/cellphones can help.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ICO][ANN] ZrCoin [11|05—09|06]Commodity-backed blockchain on: July 16, 2018, 02:50:47 PM
In this project there are living at all? That the people community here silent. In the news feeds I see only pictures of objects and there are no comments. It is interesting that now feel investors who have invested in this project.

That is long term project maybe early investors already sold their tokens or they forget about this investment. Community contribution is very low but devs are posting the images of this construction progress consistently so let's see what happen next to project.

yeah, i believe many people ignore this project, but as i see the team is really serious with their project
a lot of proof coming in this thread
and the most important thing is because this is one from many project that created by wavesplatform and if i'm not worng, this project become the first successful project that created on wavesplatform
That is good but in order for this project to get notice is they have to make an effort to get listed in a decent exchange.
Binance is the answer, right now, the current exchange does not give a boost of volume, even if it's expensive, they have to gamble for that for adoption.
SEO of the project explained in telegram this problem.
Listing on binance, bittrex, ploniex is possible when trading volume is high. After the buyback would start the volume would be significantly higher, after that they would apply for listing.
I think this is quite reasonable.
Let's see the results of the buy back, I hope we will see it successful so the team can proceed to listing plan in major exchange.
We really like to see this traded in Binance which is the highest trading volume right now so we will see it grow easily, if they have good development, people will surely invest.

I don't see buyback happening any time soon until the plant is finished and begins to operate to generate the resources to accomplish this buy-back then other things follow.

I agree and that means we have to wait more, in the mean time they can publish some photos as they do  Roll Eyes.

That is the only way we can do unless we are losing patience and wanted to sell it. But it is clear though that this is a long term project. I am also optimistic that this project delivers but it takes time.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM (XEM) - NEM has the first crypto wallet in WeChat! on: July 03, 2018, 12:14:37 PM
Could some foundation member publish some information about how the beta testing went? Or will they publish it later? This is like the third time I am asking it

Most probably they are not going to answer you here. Here is the NEM announcement thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=654845.0.. You will get you answer there or find their telegram link. NEM devs are very active in their telegram groups.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: What kind of price movement do you want for Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2018, 08:57:58 AM
I also like small and slow yet kind of an organic increase. Corrections may happen but also smaller than pump and dump heavy corrections. I think bitcoin will have another huge leap late this year as it will try to bounce back to its previous highs.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance: $BNB The Future of Exchanges. on: June 11, 2018, 06:07:27 AM
Is there a reason why Bnb jumped 2 days ago? I didnt find any info why it jumped?

Maybe because the Binance exchange moved to Malta and now isn't under the rule of the strict Chinese government anymore.

Binance was never under Chinese government rule. Binance first operation if I am not mistaken started in Japan. Though this is owned by a Chinese but due to Chinese mainland strict rule on crypto it haven't tried operating there. Now they are starting to relocate in Malta.
