61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Christmas And BTC? on: December 20, 2017, 05:08:46 PM
I was just wondering, to those experts on bitcoin, because I have seen that bitcoin suddenly lay low in going up, and now even plunges.  I needed your opinion.

Does Christmas or any holidays affects bitcoin?
Please elaborate. Thanks a lot

There are multiple scenarios that could apply here but the season does affect the price of Bitcoin. Many people might use their BTC holding in buying foods and drinks for celebrating Christmas. So this may result is the decline of bitcoin's price. However people are also entitled to have Christmas bonus from their employer so people have some money to spare and they could buy some BTCs and may result on price increase.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Am I being late investing in bitcoin and make a profit out of it? on: December 20, 2017, 04:34:05 PM
Please tell me if I can still make a profit in bitcoin. I am a newbie here and I want to know if I can still make it.
[/quote

Bitcoin has more opportunity and has much more tendency of growth. The demand for Bitcoin is constantly increasing day by day since more and more people are being aware of the existence of Bitcoin. With this in mind, we can say that Bitcoin can grow even more that what we imagined it will be. Many "experts" claims that Bitcoin could go 100k, 500k or even 1M so if you jump in now, you could still profit.
63  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Go Up Or Down Next Week? on: December 19, 2017, 03:07:34 AM
The price dropped a lot last night. Don't know if it can go up or down next week. Want to buy more.

Dropped a lot? You are exaggerating too much. Well a few hundred dollars is a big amount but if we talk about the percentage of drop then it's only few. I presume that when Bitcoin reaches more than $20,000 some will dump some of their coins and would trigger a mild correction that would make the price not lower than 17,000. That would be the best shot to jump in. There are no certainties that Bitcoin will ever go beneath that mark ever again so when you got the opportunity, grab them immediately.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do if Bitcoin Price Crashes on: December 19, 2017, 02:32:02 AM
What would you do if Saturday Morning you wake up  and Bitcoin Price Drops to 0.89 cents?
Also I would love too hear opinions on what would it take for something like that to happen.

When Bitcoin suddenly crashed to $0.89, I'll jump off my bed and buy as much Bitcoin as I can buy. This should be what the others will do and Bitcoin will pump within an hour.

The only possible reason that could trigger this crash is when everyone decides that Bitcoin is a shit and only a few think Bitcoin is a shit. So, it's up to you.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Who missed the boat ? on: December 19, 2017, 01:56:39 AM
My friend told me about Btc when it was less that $90 per coin. It was in it's infancy and it was pretty much unknown. I was nervous about putting my hard earned cash in to it so shied away. Boy has it haunted me LOL

Anyone else have this non buyers remorse ?

I just learned Bitcoin a few months back. Yes, I haven't known Bitcoin  that much, it hasn't been a year since I started. You were lucky to meet Bitcoin at such a low price. I started when Bitcoin is around 1000 USD and it's a huge amount. However, though the price is high at that time, I did not hesitate to earn some Bitcoins as much as I can. I think it's not late to get started. You could still gain when you get on board now.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can You Say On Bitcoin's Transaction Cost? on: December 19, 2017, 12:36:06 AM

The scalability problem of Bitcoin has been magnified with the recent ridiculous rise of transaction cost charged by many wallets to their customers. Many are complaining especially those small transactions as they sometimes cost more than the amount of Bitcoin being transferred. We are complaining because Bitcoin is supposed to be this way -- the whole thing has already become like an auction where we have to bid higher fee so that transactions are not trapped somewhere. There has to be a good solution to this perennial problem otherwise this is like shooting the very foot of Bitcoin and a very bad insult to its own name.

Aye. Bitcoin transaction is very much a burden to some people, as what you've said, especially to micro transactions. Who would like to pay $15 just to send a $1? This is insane. As Bitcoin's value increases, the transaction fees should decrease. They must have inverse relation and yet the do not. It seems they are computing the fees with respect to the number of Bitcoin transacted and not with respect to its value. The system is justifiable when we are considering only Bitcoin but if we are too consider the price, it is very much impractical.

We urgently need a solution for the scaling issue of the Bitcoin Network. If the transaction costs will continue to increase, Bitcoin will just be treated as an investment and not as a currency.

68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin correction on: December 14, 2017, 10:45:07 PM
With all the money flowing in from blind investors and all these sudden massive increase in only a few days, are some a few scared it will crash?

I'm not saying go to 1,000$ but crash back to 10k?

And I know no one can predict anything... I'm simply asking for opinions...

A crash's probability would be at its minimum this time. There are no news that would trigger this. I believe there are no signs either.
If we could notice on the Bitcoin's graph, after reaching 17k, it went down to 15k level and began climbing again after that. Bitcoin stays at the 16k level for a while and is not having any significant drops since then. So it is safe to say that Bitcoin is somehow stabilizing at the moment. Bitcoin might drop but will not go under 13k.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin is going to hit $20000 ? on: December 13, 2017, 12:06:47 AM
BTCBTCBTC

Speculation is difficult to say with accuracy since all are just an educated guess, even just a guess. I would guess that Bitcoin will reach the 20,000 dollar mark from the time of this posting and 31st of January at 23:59 UTC. I believe that it is enough to break a new all time high. Bitcoin rallied within hours for a 2k USD increase and 6 weeks would be long enough to break the 20k mark.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: will we see bitcoin price 20k by jaunary 1st 2018 on: December 12, 2017, 11:24:38 PM
will we see bitcoin price continue going up or will it crash?

I believe that we will see the price continue to increase even in 2018. Though there will be some corrections and it will occur occasionally. Corrections are always there whenever the price increases so it is inevitable. I know that the bullish run of Bitcoin will not end that early. Bitcoin has just started to run. More and more ATH will be broken next year and I hope we are all in when we watch Bitcoin reach them.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you regret selling your BTCs? on: December 12, 2017, 11:19:04 PM
To be honest, as you can see, the current price of BTC is just unbelievable, have you ever owned some BTCs before? If so, are they still in your wallet? You may be deadly regretable if you already sold them out? I guess.

P.S.: I have an price analysis for today as below.

BTC:
BTC price skyrockets though day traders dump their BTCs out of panic, nevertheless, those new traders rushing into the market are still taking those BTCs over at high levels. Here is my advice: For BTC believers, you can just hold on to your BTCs however the price changes. For day traders, pay special attention to the short-term risks. Once price breaks below MA 5, profit booking should be considered. Nothing will just keep increasing in price without dips, we’ll have another chance to buy BTC in sooner or later.

BCH:
BCH got supported just above the line as I circled yesterday. Today, we saw a violent rally of BCH price which seemed fearless when facing BTC’s astonishing gains, indicating that main funds are determined to protect BCH from dropping. Competitive coins against BTC will have another round of bullish trend when BTC price starts a correction.

LTC:
LTC got a short-term and effective support at current price. A good rally of LTC price is expected when BTC price starts a correction. Also, it’s likely for LTC to continues setting a new all-time high, holding on to your positions is the best strategy for now.

ETC:
ETC price action seems relatively weak. Though forks are coming to ETC like what happened to BTC, the overall environment is changed now. Therefore, ETC is still likely to be oscillating and downward in terms of short-term price trend.

Altcoins:
Those altcoins with support from main funds can be our targets. The astonishing surges in BTC price almost lower all altcoins’ prices, including those with positions set by main funds. Altcoins mentioned above are expected to experience a good rally in price and regain their grounds taken by BTCs. Let’s wait and see.

Original by Kuang Ren, translated and posted by AICoin Jami.

I truly regret selling my Bitcoins days before the surge. The price increase were not expected at all so there's nothing I can do now. And now, I don't have any BTC at hand. I have some altcoin but I am deciding to hold unto them and wait for the price to increase.

Very nice explanation you got there with respect to some specific coins. Beneficial for traders out there. However, I think you missed ETH?
72  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best point in time to cash out the Bitcoins? on: December 10, 2017, 11:23:22 PM
This thread was back in 2015, now that bitcoin value is $15,000. What do you think is the best time to cash out bitcoins?  And will it still go higher a few years from now?

The best time to cash out would be when you urgently need funds and the current price is at its peak. Do not cash out when you just feel like cashing out. It is best to hold your coins as much as possible since the price is still perceived to increase over time. Sell when the price is high and buy when the price is low, that's the golden rule Wink
73  Economy / Speculation / Re: ♨♨♨ Bitcoin DOWN OVER 10% Today!! ♨♨♨ on: December 10, 2017, 11:18:57 PM
Bitcoin is down over 10% in the last 24 hours

Bitcoin is down over 1.5% in just the last hour

Is the market getting ready for futures? I predict the price will continue to drop exponentially  Shocked

Nothing new here. 10% is still normal for Bitcoin price change. I am aware that you are newbie (in rank, idk if a true newbie) but this is all normal. Bitcoin is very volatile and a 10% change within a day is pretty normal. The correction will stop sooner or later and it won't continue to drop exponentially.
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will it crash in the next few days? on: December 10, 2017, 11:14:03 PM
I've been pulling my hair out trying to 'cash out'. My transaction has been stuck for 12 hours and I've already lost a good deal of cash waiting for it to go through.

If I drops rapidly over the next few days, I'm going to lose my mind.

I personally define crash as a minimum of 50% drop from the current price and I doubt this will happen any time sooner. There should be a tremendous pullback of investors, a very horrible news circled the community, and other misfortune happen simultaneously or consecutively in order for the said crash to happen. And for now, I highly doubt.
75  Economy / Speculation / Re: $11k? Too fast or just hyped? on: December 10, 2017, 10:06:10 PM
Are you worried with the current pace of the rise in pricing of Bitcoin? Is it too fast? Are we expecting a dormant Q1 of next year? Any speculation? Share your thoughts below.

All are too fast. To reach this much heights within just days are way too fast to be considered healthy for Bitcoin. I admit that I am happy about the price, however, I do not what to see the possible consequence. I know that the higher Bitcoin goes, the harder it would crash. But if the increase is in a steady manner, a hard crash would be avoided.

I believe that the Q1 of 2018 would be bullish. The hype is not yet over and the Lightning Network will be imposed soon.
76  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will be stable Bitcoin Price? on: December 10, 2017, 09:36:07 PM
Bitcoin prise is increasing incredibly and sometime it's dumping also. But I don't know why , I don't feel good. When wil be bitcoin price stable? Any idea guys?

Sorry for my poor english, I am trying to improve it  Smiley

Thank You.

I cannot imagine if ever Bitcoin will stabilize just like the current status of fiat today. Fiats are centralized and have unlimited supply while Bitcoin is the total opposite. I though months ago that Bitcoin will stabilize when it goes mainstream and is used more like a currency than an investment. However, the law of demand and supply would contradict with my thoughts.
77  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell, Hold or Buy? on: December 09, 2017, 07:34:50 PM
What are you going to do with your Bitcoins and Dollars now?

I am a little mad at myself for not selling at 17k$ because I was too tired and just fell into the bed.

17,000 would not be the highest price Bitcoin will be so stop being "little mad" to yourself and move on. Bitcoin will reach greater heights so there will be a lot more opportunity to sell your coins at a high price.
Bitcoin is at 14k+ USD now so buy. Buy then hold, I suggest. Then Buy then hold again.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed Transactions --> Over 200,000 --> That's the death of Bitcoin on: December 07, 2017, 07:23:18 PM
So many people are rushing to get a fraction of the hype, unaware of this:

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

Over 200,000 transactions are UNCONFIRMED.

It has become a 100% Ponzi Scheme now.
Bitcoin is on its way to the grave.

Seriously? Having more than 200k unconfirmed transactions means it's a ponzi? Means that it's dead? It's better to stop weeds while it's still early mate.
We've been in this situation many times before and where is Bitcoin now? Still running and kicking right? This statement just made yours void. Stop spreading FUDs, it won't do anything.
79  Economy / Speculation / Re: This won't end well on: December 07, 2017, 07:12:29 PM
Look at the Daily Change column! Grin

[img]https://i.imgur.com/YOda5OS.png[/img)
We all know what's gonna happen next. A price correction is bound to happen now.

Not just a price correction, a strong one. This is to be expected since Bitcoin reaches a new all time high within just hours. I strongly believe that many people out there are getting ready to sell and harvest their profits. A correction, though, is still a correction. No matter how strong it would be, Bitcoin will surely recover from any time soon after.
80  Economy / Speculation / Re: I felt bad buying this morning at $14,000... on: December 07, 2017, 07:06:07 PM
But now that it has shot up to nearly $17,000 in just a few hours, it doesn't seem like too bad an investment!

Its crazy thinking that just last week i didn't want to buy at $10, or even $11k!

My only fear is that the bubble will pop with it increasing so quickly

This is a very normal feeling when it comes to any type of investments. Resistance is an inevitable feeling that would hinder you from earning. However, all are in the past now and we cannot undo what has been done. The important thing that would matter here is that you bought at 14k and now, you have an almost 3k of profit. It ain't that bad to feel bad right.
