61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: █【ANN】【ICO】AUGUST 5█ 🌟 BLOCKLANCER 🌟 JOIN THE 1 TRILLION $ MARKET 🌟 FREELANCE on: July 29, 2017, 07:20:59 PM
BLOCKLANCER has nearly NO fake followers on twitter. Go to https://fakers.statuspeople.com/ and compare us with other ICOs. BLOCKLANCER doesn't need any fake followers on twitter! We stand for 100% transparency and honesty. For us the community is the most precious asset! Smiley

We thank everyone, who is supporting us!

Transparency is the most important thing about blockchains so I applaud you for committing to that. I'm still unsure if this is a good project to invest in though but i guess I still have almost a week to decide.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge Coin !? on: July 29, 2017, 07:17:13 PM
Doge is a meme coin, it has no real use and it has infinite inflation. It's become a good coin for tipping people and things like that but it doesn't really have much potential as a long term investment.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PROPY - Global Property Store with Decentralized Title Registry on: July 29, 2017, 07:08:24 PM
I'm a little confused, I get the idea of storing real estate information in a decentralized way but how would this deal with people who get hacked or lose their private key, seems kind of ripe for abuse isn't it?
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: July 29, 2017, 07:05:27 PM
I recommend cold storage with paper wallets, however I strongly discourage single key paper wallets as it encourages address reuse and forces people to deal with things like changing addresses manually, which can lead to accidental losses.

A paper wallet where you memorize the private key, none of that crap with memorizing a word phrase I'm talking about the actual raw private key. That would give you the very best security and no one would be able to guess it or find where you write it down.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most popular Altcoin? on: July 28, 2017, 10:41:45 AM
I think most popular alt coin is Ethereum for me.We are looking very good about ETH.On the other hand litecoin is not bad. This coin is most popular. There are many altcoin coins best at this moment.
Eth and waves for me since both were popular as ICo platform, there are a lot of coins good to hold for in the future they might grow their value.

Yep, ETH in particular has a lot of huge ICO based on its platform and that provides the foundation for its popularity and will keep the market cap and its use high relative to the competition.
66  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Alt Coin Crash This Weekend? on: July 28, 2017, 10:38:27 AM
If bitcoin crashes then that could be good for altcoins as people will be looking for a new crypto to invest into. $200 isn't enough to warrant a switch to bitcoin in my opinion because that is even less than the normal daily volatility we have been seeing lately.

Bitcoin cash will fail because a majority of people see it as a free airdrop and will just dump their coins, no one will mine a coin with little value so hashing power will follow to preserve profitability, ie if its worth 10% of the price of bitcoin it will receive about 10% of bitcoins hash power.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP [Ripple] ??? FALLING DOWN? on: July 28, 2017, 10:29:48 AM
In my opinion no, past ripple pumps were based on false hype about banks using it and new exchanges mostly in Asia listing it. The recent price drops are due to people becoming a bit more rational about what it can really do.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scalability issues and why Bitcoin ABC (aka Bitcoin Cash) is gonna take over on: July 28, 2017, 10:27:38 AM
I don't get what is wrong with the current compromise, SegWit AND higher block size.

Other solutions like LN can help alleviate some of the burden on the blockchain as well and we can look towards further block size increases as necessary rather than jumping the gun now on something that is untested.
69  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is everyone feeling going into Aug 1? on: July 28, 2017, 10:20:45 AM
Do you have any concerns for Tuesdays split?

I"m personally a little worried a lot of people could lose bitcoins due to replay attacks.

Well I'm optimistic because it will put an end to a lot of FUD going around about bitcoin so confidence can recover at least until the next hard fork.

Replay attacks is a real concern though but I think what will happen is just that transactions will come to a virtual standstill for 12-48 hours until this is solved rather than people losing a lot.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Trading/Advice Slack Channel on: July 28, 2017, 10:11:01 AM
I hear lots of slack being the source of links for ETH fishing wallet. I hesitate to join slack, I am comfortable using telegram or masenger.

Just don't click any links in slack, especially ones sent through a pm or from slackbot.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coindash SCAM - Open discussion on: July 28, 2017, 10:09:06 AM
I follow the news about coindash, dev is still very responsible. Although in a difficult position. They have lost the trust of investors. At least dev continues to communicate and promise refunds. I'm sure it's not time to say SCAM.

They were very amateur with the whole ICO but at least they are trying to make things better now. They haven't offered a refund though, just gave tokens to people who got scammed.

Their loyalty program is also a very nice way to help prevent too big of a dump once it hits exchanges.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripples XRP Shenanigans Observation on: July 28, 2017, 09:58:57 AM
The author of this topic is a joke, I tried to have an honest conversation and there again he deleted one of my posts today.
I think if he delete one more post, I'll create a topic, compiling all my deleted posts.
The only joke is Ripples broken database.
Anyone at anytime can look at lets say ledger number 666 and can see with 100% certainty something is not right/broken. It is a fact.

People will still shill and defend Ripple like its the holy grail of crypto simply because they want the price to go up so they don't lose all their money. No one is interested in facts these days.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS ICO SCAM 👺👺👺 Wow! Can you believe this? 👺👺👺 on: July 28, 2017, 09:56:20 AM
EOS was in my investment list but after I saw code I immediately deleted it from all of my lists. EOS is pure scam run by same dev who operates another scam project Steem. We don't need more scams in this industry. Dan and his coworkers can get the f away from this industry.

as far as I know, the team are palying a big scam at present.

EOS is launched by the team who also operated BitShares and Steemit, and BitShares and Streemit have already been proved scams. so not suprising to hear EOS is scam too.

I'm not a big fan of EOS  and I don't know anything about BitShares but Steemit is a great project and I don't know why you would call it a scam.

74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SCAM ICO!!! on: July 28, 2017, 09:54:26 AM
This is a great initiative - everybody that runs across a SCAM ICO must please post here!

People will start calling every single altcoin a scam if you do that and it won't work unless you want to call the whole of crypto including bitcoin a scam.
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Support for Bitcoin Cash - Exchanges says NO on: July 28, 2017, 09:43:15 AM
If exchanges don't support BCC how are we going to dump?

Can we dump on Chinese exchanges?

Any Europe based exchange supporting BCC?

Seems dumping BCC is the only use it has for anyone  Grin

I'm really looking forward to seeing just how low the price will end up being a few days into August.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: July 28, 2017, 09:41:56 AM
Cash it is most liquid thing. Cash have accepted everywhere, but it depend of the currency of cash - Usd Dollar of Euro there are most liquied, but some exotic currencies can be accepted only inside home countries.
Yes cash is a physical thing. We need to accept the fact that bitcoin is not as easy to get or withdraw. We cannot see it instantly. But we more like the bitcoin over it. Because of its price and because we can earn it without knowing of the government. But both sides are good ano problem with that.
Because people use bitcoin not for their currency. Yeah of course with certain reasons such as lack of accepted. They use bitcoin just for their investment and profits. Other than that of course they will use cash or fiat for all activities such as spending, saving, etc.

Pretty much it has the potential to be a real currency but in its current form it is nothing more than an investment tool like any other. I would say 99% or more of people only own bitcoin for its speculative value.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where and how to sell BCC on 1. August? on: July 28, 2017, 09:40:54 AM
Hello,

I have the private key of my BTC wallet.
So is it correct, that I will get on 1st August 1 BCC for every BTC I have in my wallet?
"Where" will I get that BCC and where can I sell that BCC on 1s August immediately? Cause I personally don't think that high price of BCC will last long.

I agree BCC price will crash hard and I'm planning to sell it as soon as I get them though I'll be using an exchange that credits it automatically rather than a wallet.
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FREE money in the form of BCC? on: July 28, 2017, 09:31:24 AM

Is it right to assume that BCC value wont be far from BTC? Worrying because it seems too easy that i'll be given free and easy money. Will this mean BTC price is going down?

It is free money though the BCC value will likely be a fraction of that of BTC. My guess is it will be around 5% of BTC's value in which case you wouldn't be gaining much and BTC's own value could easily go down more than the money you gain from receiving BCC.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 ETH or 1 BTC? on: July 28, 2017, 09:23:55 AM
I would rather hold 1 BTC holding it in the wallet as a long-term investment and not interested in holding 10 ETH in the next 5 years

Im a fan of eth but my faith is in btc when it comes to long term holding. As bitcoin is more valuable and there's no way to surpass btc by eth. And holding 1 btc versus 10 eth will be more profitable than ever.

I don't see why eth can't surpass btc in market cap, it has a lot more functionality that would support a higher market cap. In the short term though I think you are right, but I think eth will take the number one spot in market cap sometime next year and that means a price much higher than 10 eth for 1 btc.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are all the types of coins on: July 28, 2017, 09:21:43 AM
I think the OP is asking for a classification of the coins into types by one of the experienced crypto investors. Let me take a stab at doing so.

1. Platform coins - Stratis, Lisk, Nxt/Ardor, Ethereum, Omni. These allow implementation of smart contracts

2. Social Networks -AMP, Steem

3. Privacy coins  - Monero, Zcash, Zencash, Zclassic, Verge, DigitalNote, Aeon, Spectrecoin, DeepOnion

4. Exchanges - Counterparty, Blocknet, Bitbay, Waves, Bitshares

5. Currencies - LiteCoin, Dash, Feathercoin, Dogecoin

6. Content/Media Distribution - Shift, LBRY, Decent

7. High Flyers - these are low priced coins based on market cap which are deeply speculative such as 1337, LiteDoge. Linda, Netko, Acoin, Sumokoin, Pascal Lite

That's a pretty good classification of the different types of coins. It's also worth mentioning tokens which are similar to coins but run one of the blockchains and is aimed at providing smart contract based apps.
