61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: January 05, 2018, 08:48:57 PM
If I'm holding 500$, I will invest it to ETH. Holding Ethereum for a long period of time will give you a huge profit. Ethereum shows a very competitive even small increase every time.  Likewise, bitcoin is now the leading one when it come's to continuous increase of value so bitcoin is also the best one to invest with.

Nobody expect ETH able reach so far so yea.. it's worth to invest !
Also you can try to invest bitcoin's child like BCH,BTG, another new token like IGNIS since they also show a promising progress and I can say that it's worth to invest too !

Please avoid all those useless bitcoin forks. I would make it $250 + $250 and I would go for BTC and ETH with equal investment if the initial capital is only $500 as asked in the thread.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple XRP is a complete fraud GET OUT! on: January 05, 2018, 07:14:17 PM
The average human doesn't comprehend things like fixed supply, consensus, gaming theory, immutability. The average human sees fast transactions, something they can own, low fees and huge price bumps and they get excited. XRP is marketing and it is owning a corporate asset. It isn't crypto in any sense of why someone that understands the techology. XRP has the trappings of a cryptocurrency but underneath needs to be nothing like cpypto.

yeah, I think XRP is a con the same way I think owning a class B, non-dividend paying stock is a con. That doesn't mean that it is worthless, just worthless to me. You can make money on worthless shiz but i just buy with the momentum and sell for thigns that have true value.

The best explanation and illumination about ripple I've ever seen on this forum so far. At least, we can understand that you're really an experienced user who is beware of the ripple trap.

They keep claiming it's a great one, they do this without looking at the specifications of ripple. You said, average people never check the cons.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My portfolio 2018 on: January 05, 2018, 12:16:01 AM
You will make $30k equivalent investment and there is no ethereum. Are you sure or you just missed it? Because it's a main coin just like bitcoin. You can also increase the amount of bitcoin in your portfolio.

You can add waves, sonm and gup.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Anybody all in in one altcoin? on: January 04, 2018, 11:37:13 PM
75% of my portfolio are Waves and thinking to add more.

I made a big mistake not keeping one single BTC and now it's too late.

Don't know if buy more Waves or some Monero.

WHAT?? All in WAVES? Never do this man. at least expand your portfolio to 4/5 projects. If one will get down the others might recover the loss or balance the things.

waves is undoubtly a good coin to invest but yeah the above is right, 75% on waves is too much  so i suggest divide your funds on some other promising altcoins and remeber dont put all your eggs in one basket , so its better if you can just diversify that into a wide range of coins to expand your portfolio and to maximize your current earning. though investing in bitcoin is always  a good choice and you shoudnt never regret on it.

Waves is good, I can't say the opposite, but going all in with waves is meaningless. The risk is very high if you do this because all the eggs are in the same basket in this position. This is the worst thing for a coin investor.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not? on: January 04, 2018, 11:14:17 PM
Investment in an ICO is risky but you should google the best ongoing ico with its roadmap. Invest in an ico that looks relaible and promising. I prefer trade coin and peculium coin.

Risks are normal in this crypto earth. Withour taking some fair risk, you can't make money, nobody gives money to another person for free, the trading conditions and ico participations are really hard.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic: Darkhorse of 2018? on: January 04, 2018, 09:48:31 PM
Ethereum classic is up over 16% in the past 24 hours and is having a great deal of interest again this year.

Ethereum classic was a fork of the Ethereum blockchain that happened after the DAO hack in 2016 and views itself as a "censorship" resistant version of Ethereum. They also are against the notion of central planning that they see in the Ethereum chain.

https://www.coinbureau.com/analysis/ethereum-classic-etc/

Could it be a good hedge of Ethereum this year?

We can also see that there is a great deal of developer progress on the coin as the amount of commits to the Github repo is higher than Ethereum and a number of other coins.

Would you invest in ETC?

No I personally wouldn't invest in ETC and I feel like SkyCoin is the real dark horse.

Skycoin is off topic under this thread dude. He's talking about ETC that is an excellent fork of ether. I don't separate it from ether, but for ETC to be successful on the market, they need to do something real. Holders need to see improvements and roadmap.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: January 03, 2018, 09:33:04 PM
In my mind so much of what Monero is is the vision of the core team.  They are a large part of the reason I am involved with Monero.  Who would take over and what would that mean?  I support whatever the core team decides.

thats dangerous mentality of the same kind that turned bitcoin into a crippled coin

I agree. We must remember that the core team serves at the pleasure of the community. It is the community who is the boss.

Core teams should work as a worker, the boss should be the community and the investors here as you mentioned. Otherwise, without investors and a crowded community, Monero would get weaker obviously.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PoW Altcoins on: January 03, 2018, 08:38:55 PM
I would like to know your opinions about new PoW Coins.
Do you guys think they have a future or if Proof of Work in general has a future?
Because I think it takes way too much electricity for mining and this huge power consumption is really bad for the environment, maybe other solutions could be more efficient.

Excessive electiricity consumption is bad for the environment and world. But their system work in this way, it's called proof of work, you spend energy and buy equipments do mine pow coins. Some of them can change their system into pos. Ethereum is also discussing this nowadays.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency with real working product? on: January 03, 2018, 12:49:48 AM
I just want to know wich of the current cryptos have an working product. There are so many coins that get pumped without an working product or still in alpha. Let us know which coin you think has the best working product.

Ethereum has the working blockchain. Monaco Card has working crypto debit card, Tenx also has it. Spectivvr has a alpha product. Binance has an exchange platform out there. Waves has its own dex platform. You can check those.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you think of Wagerr? on: January 03, 2018, 12:34:37 AM
Maybe it could be big, but reality atm is not sufficient - it hasnt any working product yet. If they will manage smoothly working product then it will moon.

They will release the product this year most probably but the disadvantage with Wagerr is the waves based structure. Waves platform is still very primitive and further development is a must in there for the benefit of Wagerr.
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins will moon in 2018? on: January 02, 2018, 11:40:11 PM
I bet on Wabi. It is a brilliant idea of using the blockchain to monitor data in real time of products during transportation or even during their shelf life. This is achieved with RFID chips similar to what Waltonchain is doing. They are first targeting the baby food market but it will expand to other markets as well. They have an all-star team and partnerships in China.

Wabi was a useful one but I will say ethereum and binance. The only chance in wabi is the product tracks the food. Ethereum will go to the moon and binance will make successful things this year.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sell Dash or Zec on: January 02, 2018, 11:23:53 PM
hi guys

i need to raise some funds to reinvest and done really well on both the above, which one out the two would u sell?  Dash widely thought of has ZEC reached its peak?

thanks

Whatever, I would personally hold my DASH. I would sell Zec because DASH can make a good action on the market this year, I strongly believe that project. For zec, I don't have positive intention.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats the best exchange with low fees? on: January 02, 2018, 10:44:51 PM
If you can buy some BNB tokens go get your account on Bittrex, it's the cheaptes one because they have a discount when you pay the fee with BNB tokens. And they're really developing their Exchange system last weeks.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Likely to become a millionaire from altcoins? on: January 02, 2018, 09:12:33 PM
Is it more likely to become a millionaire buying low capmarket coins if yes in what range/from what rank?
Or better to buy from the top 100 ?

We can never know the answer of this question. Sometimes, coins from #100-400 can make great movements in the market and they make us surprised. This is a process of demand and pump. So not possible to guess it correctly.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OVERvalued altcoins. on: January 02, 2018, 08:57:10 PM
Verge at this price. howevrer I will recommend it if it drops down under 150 sats.
DGB at this price. Recommended price is 300 sats maximum
NXT at this price. Recommended price is 3000 sats
XRP at this price. Recommended price is just 4000 sats

Never forget to add ripple to your list, nice you already have it. I don't think DGB is expensive at this price. NXT, yes it's also expensive now, kinda hype price because of ignis airdrops.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: December 22, 2017, 10:57:37 PM
Go for IOTA (MIOTA) or Ripple (XRP) because if you have already altcoins in the likes of Eth, Ltc, Waves, and Neo, there is no reason why you can't invest on IOTA or Ripple. Probably you can buy them in volume since the price per token now is very low yet these altcoins have big market capital.

I agree but not because of market capital but because IOTA is doing something really different and useful of many different industries rather than just the banking sector that could eventually be monetized.

I wouldn't take the risk of IOTA or XRP. Because I like ETH and I trust it. It's market share is more than 12% today and it will keep going bigger eventually. I aim 20% for total market cap for ETH which means it will be $2,500 soon.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Easiest Ethereum Wallet To Use? on: December 22, 2017, 10:35:35 PM
I am using blockchain wallet. On my smartphone. Blockchain for bitcoin and ether. It's so nice and user friendly. You can download it from playstore. I think mobile wallet is more safer than webwallet. Thats y i am using it. Jaxx is also good for phone, i think. I jaxx you can use somany cryptos., while blockchain offers only btc and eth.

If you mean, blockchain.info platform as the ETH wallet, yeah that's fine. I'm also using it and the transactions are running very smoothly there. It's a simple one for beginners, I think.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin Technical Prediction on: December 22, 2017, 09:19:29 PM
Litecoin price dropped more than 20% to $229.75 in 24 trading hours. The market cap currently is holding at a steady US$12.50B with nearly US$1.8 billion in trading volume over the past 24 hours. Also, the price touched the 24 hours low of $161.86. Is it a good time to invest in Litecoin?

https://atozforex.com/news/22-24-december-litecoin-technical-prediction-ltcusd-forecast/

What do you say? Suggestions and comments are appreciated  Smiley

It's hard to decide now. We need to see whether or not bitcoin will go up first. And then we can invest in LTC after we make sure the correction ended. For me, prices about $200 are okay to enter LTC.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 22, 2017, 05:01:53 PM
i think xrp price may rocket today, but just burdened by bitcoin and the whole market, even so, it still has not fallen as other coins

Yeah, it was for a little while one of only three alts in the Top 100 without a red percentage next to it, seems like a lot of holders simply unwilling to sell. Right now it's just gone back below $1, I'm really tempted to buy at this rate, since I don't have Ripple in my hedge. But I promised to wait out this storm. Guess I'm just glad the storm's finally here, so we can all weather it quickly and pack our bags for the year. But if Ripple goes back below 80 cents, then I don't know if they'll ever be a good price again. What do you say's a good entry point or is the bear not done yet?

Guys it's important that ripple is still around $1 which is a good support for it. Others declined more than ripple. This shows the demand to ripple is still good and people are not doing panic sells in ripple markets.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: December 22, 2017, 03:37:54 PM
In the next year ETH will overtake BTC as the number 1 cryptocurrency.  I would unload your bitcoin while you still can.

I don`t think so.. ETH blockchain is overloaded like BTC blockchain, and the fees are going up

ETH will not be №1 anyway, it rather will pass to number 3 kicked out by ripple

People advocating that ETH blockchain is amazing, were wrong. The same congestion happened in ethereum blockchain as well and fee turned into real money with expensive rates. At least, ether transfers are still fast while bitcoin transfers are very slow.
