602  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What next after bitcoin ? on: January 04, 2021, 02:00:01 AM
I think the government can't stop bitcoin now, they only have to choices to accept bitcoin, or ban it in their country, but we know it's not gonna be that easy and simple, the most brilliant thing that maybe they should do is to accept bitcoin as a currency together with our money, also if they are really serious stopping bitcoin they should have done it a few years ago, maybe they are just testing the waters, see how it goes, as we know the government can use bitcoin to fund their projects, so maybe they will be imposing tax like other countries are doing slowly, and that is a bit scary.
603  Other / Off-topic / Re: [???] If an investor is not accredited but also he/she is not a U.S person on: January 01, 2021, 04:21:00 PM
Hello, I'm a Turkish citizen and I wonder whether I'm able to participate in some private sales.

If an investor is not accredited but also he/she is not a U.S person, is he able to participate in the private sales?

Is it necessary to be an accredited investor to sign a SAFT agreement?
your country does not ban crypto or bitcoin so I think there is no current law prohibiting you from joining any presales or ICO or any form
for your reference you can check the stand of your country about bitcoin or crypto,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory
if your country allows bitcoin surely you can buy any coins good luck sir

605  Other / Off-topic / Re: What are your plans in the year 2021 on: January 01, 2021, 09:31:35 AM
My goal is just simple, interact more with the discussion, share information, and learn more along the way, as the technology improves we also need to learn more, every day there is a new technology that shows up, learning something from it, and share what I have learned to the community, of course, I want to go up, but if I learn and share information, I think people will appreciate what I have a share, and maybe help me slowly go up, but of course, no matter what I'll never stop sharing or creating an interesting topic.

607  Other / Beginners & Help / End of 2020 Welcome Year 2021 on: January 01, 2021, 05:03:29 AM
The year 2020 has changed everyone's life, from normal to new normal but also open its way to many opportunities, and ways to earn for our daily life
Here are some of the list that happens in 2020

Covid 19
- Although the covid start December 2019 the virus spread to the world in the Year 2020 where we almost spend our lives at home
- A new variant of covid has been discovered hoping that this will not spread or just disappear for the good of humanity
- I should say that covid also help cryptocurrency be more widely known because we are looking for better and cashless payment and transfer
where we don't need to go out of our homes etc.

Bitcoin
Bitcoin has reached its all-time high this year, another milestone for cryptocurrency from 2017 ATH we have recorded another one after 4 years, we are still a long way and believe still room for growth.
https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/17/bitcoin-btc-price-hits-new-all-time-high-above-23000.html#:~:text=Menu-,Bitcoin%20hits%20new%20all%2Dtime%20high%20above%20%2423%2C000,extending%20its%20wild%202020%20rally&text=Bitcoin%20surged%2012%25%20to%20more,investors%20for%20the%20digital%20currency.

Ripple
- also one of the big news ripple cases, they were accused of selling unlicensed security by SEC
- https://www.investopedia.com/crypto-company-ripple-faces-sec-lawsuit-5093444

SEC
- we know how strict SEC is I think one of the biggest news is that the change of leadership in this organization ( because there are rumors that the former head does not like crypto while the new one is a pro-crypto guy)

Ethereum 2.0
- the launch of ethereum 2.0
-https://www.coindesk.com/ethereum-2-0-beacon-chain-goes-live-as-world-computer-begins-long-awaited-overhaul

Kucoin
- Kucoin is hacked last September 2020
- During those time lots of coins and erc20 coin are stolen with the total amount of 275Million

2020 is really a combination of great and bad happenings in the world

I also received bad things this year like my account banned two times, but it's because of my mistake and I learn from it, also fail in investing
but I think the one thing that 2020 taught us is to never give up, learn from mistakes, and keep pushing forward be strong.
Last year also became a Sr. Member, so I think even though it's hard we still accomplish things that we are still proud of
Hoping for this year to be a more productive and prosperous new year good luck to us and never give up.
if you can add a list of what happened in 2020 as a summary please share it here thanks.

608  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC on decentralized projects on: January 01, 2021, 01:19:53 AM
Forgive me if my question doesn't make sense, I heard SEC only have the power to go after centralized projects, if this is right why is nakamoto hidden? This is what comes to my mind, and the only answer I can find is, past years ago bitcoin is like a threat to central bank and Fiat, might be wrong but probably way they viewed it then, if Nakamoto failed to go into hidden the government would have hunt him down? Put false claims on him?  Correct me if I'm wrong

There is a lot of reason why satoshi hide if I were in his position I'll do the same although we don't know if that name means a person or a group, firstly the government might take him into custody we know they can do such thing, also there are lots of people who will be going to look for the guy, this includes good and bad people, people who will capitalize on what he knows, they might use it to get rich, or worse kidnap satoshi for might we know he might still hold a lot of cryptocurrencies or just bitcoin, whatever his/her reason he just leaves us a technology, which we can improve or use in our daily life and I'm thankful for it, another breakthrough to technology.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: December 31, 2020, 02:02:53 PM
you have search a lot of cryptocurrencies but you never read any of their whitepapers?
every cryptocurrency have a different purpose, it doesn't mean they have the same function or role in the community
one example of this is ethereum and bitcoin, you can read this article regarding these top cryptocurrency to better understand them and what they do:

610  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The question of Mining. on: December 31, 2020, 12:08:42 PM
You need to go to the mining section regarding that, at the same time you might lose your job doing that, might lessen also the life span of your computer by doing that, it requires an ASIC miner to mine or a mining rig, you have to choose what coin to mine  then you can choose what you need to buy, a rig for mining, good luck
611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC Knocking on a projects door means the end? on: December 31, 2020, 06:43:01 AM
Is there any kind of politics on those issues? I mean some say that the sec head is against crypto while, the new head is pro-crypto, which means the tides might turn around in 2021, but for sure those projects will make it through the SEC if they make things right and prove that they are innocent on what the sec is being thrown at them.
612  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Deserving A Gift From Elders And Older. on: December 31, 2020, 12:03:33 AM
Take care of your elderly as they take care of you when you were young you don't need to buy them material things, elders really happy when you give them attention because they knew that their time was near, they just want what is better for their son and grandson, so I think a hug and a kiss will be so much better, with a sweater, old people appreciate small things.
613  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What we do that leads us to be hacked or scam on: December 30, 2020, 03:07:02 PM
Your examples are old scam methods. many of people know this scam and this percentage will decrease with the passage of days.
scammers are developing their tricks and you won't find many of them using these old ways.

Stop displaying your emails in public and do not reply or click on any link. Use 2Fa verification on a secure offline device.
Do not download unreliable programs and educate yourself, as it is the most powerful shield.

Those old methods have been attacking users over and over again, and they never change these tactics, most of my client is dealing with this kind of problems, although I keep on reminding them, also I see a post like a few days ago, someone has received a message regarding with his crypto hardware wallet wherein user information has been taken, seen people who became aware but after few months they are back in their old ways, the post is just a reminder that no matter how old it is, it might cost us lot of troubles, we thought that those are basics but we don't know that it is also very critical, and dangerous.

After almost 3 years registered on this forum and spamming lot of bounty reports on bounties section, you are just asking which section to learn about bitcoin? Holy shit.
Maybe he is so focused on bounty and altcoins, but I'm confused about why he never learn about bitcoin, even a bit of it since he registers last 2018
but I think it's about time for you to learn about it because it's sad that you are in bitcointalk and never know anything about it, there are lots of places where you can learn or study about bitcoin, via books, articles through the net, since it's all over the place,.
615  Other / Beginners & Help / What we do that leads us to be hacked or scam on: December 30, 2020, 06:16:21 AM
If you are not careful enough this thing might take all your money away

Emails  – Mostly we received emails, we only read the subject and if we read something interesting or alarming we click it right away, I can say that somethings due to fear of losing something, we lose our cool and we just click it, and from there a lot of things happen, it might steal information, or sensitive data from our pc or lead to hacking.

Phishing site – This might also come from email links, we thought it’s the same website that we are opening but its just a disguise for hackers to steal information, also if we open a website we login our credentials and later we realized that its not the real site, and its too late your crypto or money have been stolen.

A personal message   – we have lots of social media platforms, Facebook, telegram Twitter, etc, we often received messages sometimes from our friends later that we know they are hacked, and someone has taking control of it, asking for money or even asking for investment money, also received message saying you can have 100% return in just two days

Investment – more people are getting scam every day due to investment schemes, they try to make you believe, by letting you get the money on the first try and ask you to invest more, once you are hook in they will just disappear.
Referrals  -  this may also lead to scam people sending you referrals since you see that the price is big and possible you can be a millionaire you invest a lot of money, but sadly it's just a fake one

Note: I am not saying that all that we received might lead to scam or hacking, but this is just a reminder for us to be careful, there are lots of reminders but we still fall for these schemes, taking extra caution and research is necessary don’t ask a person who recommends something to you if it's legit or not instead make your own research and ask people who are already years in this business, asking advice or question is not but we just want to make sure that our money will not go to waste

We can’t really avoid it 100% because sometimes our emotions step in, like other people says don’t get emotional when investing, because it will not help you, it might put you in a disadvantageous situation.
I made this post because I read last time that still there are people getting scam and hacked, even with others reminding them to be careful investing, and hacking.

Hope ill be able to help newbies and members be aware of these things,
616  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Ledger Email on: December 30, 2020, 01:14:13 AM
The reason why people are getting have via email is because they don't check if it's really a legitimate email in the first place, at the same time because they are curious that someone might be getting their funds, they click the link to check, this is a really bad move because once you click the link, you don't know if its already injecting something in your computer,
I'm working as technical staff and I always remind my customers or client, how to read email headers, once you received this email, you can see the header if it's legit or not, avoiding clicking links will save you.
617  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to become a trusted member? on: December 29, 2020, 04:02:54 PM
I think it's hard to be a trusted member, why? because those who are already trusted members have made a lot of transactions to prove their worth, or to be eligible to receive the trust, while others received the negative trust because of doing negative or failing to deliver what have agreed upon.
in my own opinion, it will be depending on how will you transact with others and its gonna take time because they want to make sure that you really trustworthy.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: did I make mistake? on: December 29, 2020, 12:58:48 PM
now Bitcoin price has increased 17.5% in the last 7 days and now the price is $27,750.69, then BTC Domination is 70.9% with Market Cap amount $727,677,130,354, but Ethereum price is currently $644.61 and is down 1.44% from the last 7 days, so I bought Ethereum with all my money (money that I use specifically for investment), because I believe Ethereum price will soon increase very high (bull run) following Bitcoin price movement and of course I will get a very big profit from investing in Ethereum (my target for Ethereum price is $1100-$1400), because I believe if Bitcoin dominance decreases, then it will make the price of altcoin increases (including the price of Ethereum).
Every coin has its time, I think you made the right decision for choosing ethereum, not only its the 2nd coin in the market but I'm sure it will going to surge next year, you just have to wait for its time, I'm very sure you'll be happy with the result, in investing to crypto waiting is really necessary because if you, will panic every time price goes down I'm sure you will not get any profit only loses.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: December 29, 2020, 04:13:55 AM
I hope it doesn't happen again because I almost had a heart attack watching it.

Overreacting lol.

But seriously, losing is just fine but since the Clippers is considered as number 2 in the West and even others say it's because Kawhi Leonard is not there, it should be a close game or maybe around down to 10-15 lead.

Allowing Mavericks to score 77 in just the first half is crazy I even assume that there will be no other low teams that won't be down at 50 points in just a first half.
I think if the other team is hot , or in the zone, no one can stop them, even when the GSW make history they still lose to the Cavs with 3-1 advantage
what I mean to say is that you can't predict what is going to happen in a ball game, what can we do if they are on fire and the other team's defense can't handle it, it's still early, and its just one game
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP Price Dives After SEC Files Charges on: December 28, 2020, 05:41:29 PM
it's not the dumping of coins the drag xrp price down, but its an issue with the sec, its been a long time battle with those two, I have heard the person who is the head of the sec is not pro-crypto while the new head is pro-crypto, I think before he leaves he make a big deal out of it, to make some chaos, in xrp community although it's not clear but also xrp has still some needs to answer some of the accusations being thrown at them.
