Regardless if you had known whether this account was bought or not, it is still inexcusable to buy another account. Earn your rank in this forum, don't buy accounts to cheat in signature campaigns.

@The Pharmacist, if I may point out we can see that this account purchase had gone through the main account of the buyer: March. I think this account deserves a negative trust from DT2. I think it is safe to point out that OP did not sell the account and was really hacked. I believe in that statement. |

Can we make some changes to how signature campaigns are allowed to operate here as well? I wonder how much of the forum slowness is due to the increased traffic of hundreds of shitposters signing up with dozens of accounts each every day.
Also, can you restore the membersearch functionability? It was helpful in finding alts of bots and farmers and banning them before they even started to shit up the forum.
I totally agree with you. I think it should be looked into that a maximum of 1 or 2 accounts/ IP address. That would really cut down on the amount of alt accounts that are being used to bump threads as well as FUD and whatnot. |

We're not an ICO. In my opinion it's no different than buying a forum ad except it's permanent and only on older topics.
I wasn't talking about you directly. Most ICOs are interested in buying accounts to spam their ANN threads. Its quite sad.... |

Interestingly, we at PrivCoin have considered buying accounts with high post counts just to change the signature and leave the account alone so that internet users who arrive to the forum via Google will see our signature on historical topics.
Perhaps we should reconsider that marketing approach.

Well, yes and no.
Bitcoin is a new and emerging trend of technology. It will still be many years before it can function as a fully operational currency that many more businesses will accept. I think it has real potential and should not be regarded as a 'scam' or 'fraud' - as many banks have labelled it.

In terms of evolution, Bitcoin reached a maximum of roughly 4800$, whereas Ethereum reached roughly 394$: in other words, it is a potential increase of 33 % for Ethereum, but only 24% for Bitcoin.
They are 2 different things and serve different purposes. ETH as of this moment is mainly an investment, not really a payment platform yet. The main reason why ETH is so popular at this moment is because of all the ICO tokens that are given out. For long term investment I would go with BTC, I am not too much of a fan of ETH. |

Make a new account and start from scratch, don't buy another one even if you have the funds.
Is this forum Laudan's father's farm? When I am not forbidden to trade on the Forum, I give a negative trust to which I am just writing a message. I joined the signing campaign with this account. My labor has always been a slave. Is it also prohibited to sell accounts on the forum  I am translating it into Google. Do not blame for bad english. It is not banned, however highly discouraged as it 99.99% of the times leads to a scam or cheat in the system (such as multiple accounts in the same signature campaign, self escrow... etc.) Lauda is by far the grumpiest Kitty who is against account sales. Well, him/her and The Pharmacist.

As far as I know, China only banned ICOs and not Bitcoin as a whole. I am still unsure about the whole situation with the Bitcoin exchange sites and whether they have been banned too or not. I guess I still need to conduct further research in that area. Bitcoin is still emerging as a transaction method for countries and businesses alike. Since the government doesn't want it, it will be highly unlikely that they will provide support for businesses who use bitcoin. We still have to wait and see. As for Korea, I have not read anywhere that it has been banned. |
