Major Asian Ticketing Agency Accepts Bitcoin on Lightning Network

Quote
Vietnamese online ticketing agency Future.Travel now accepts Bitcoin (BTC) payments via the Lightning Network (LN), with funds being converted into local currency at the time of sale.

To enable LN-based Bitcoin payments, Future.Travel collaborated with Canada-based tech firm Neutronpay, which will provide Future.Travel its multi-currency merchant platform, according to an April 20 announcement. With the newly integrated option, the BTC transaction processing time will ostensibly be cut down to three to four seconds in most cases.

CFTC Approves Bitnomial to Offer Futures Contracts Settled in Real Bitcoin

Quote
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) approved Bitnomial Exchange to operate as a designated contracts market (DCM), meaning the exchange can now offer bitcoin futures and options contracts.

The approval, granted Monday, brings a new player to the still-small world of bitcoin futures in the U.S.

To date, only CME, Cboe, Bakkt, ErisX and LedgerX offer bitcoin futures and options contracts, though Cboe ended its contract in early 2019 and ErisX sees little volume on its futures. Unlike CME, Bitnomial appears to be focusing strictly on physically-settled contracts, meaning customers receive the actual bitcoin when the contract expires, rather than the fiat equivalent.

Following a consultation with a philanthropic advisory group, HDR Global Trading has chosen to donate to the two Gates Philanthropy Partners COVID-19 Funds, the Biosecurity program at the Nuclear Threat Initiative, OpenMined, and Our World in Data.

Combining Tor and VPN together is rarely better than just using Tor alone, but could certainly be much worse.
Well this may be part of the debate for another thread, there is a lot of discussion about using Tor + VPN has its advantages and disadvantages, here is a link:

https://blokt.com/guides/tor-vs-vpn

I think the main thing is to choose a correct VPN and the settings used.

Just curious, have you vote it? or not yet? Cheesy

Yes.

Thx, RapTarX

Maybe I will be the only one, but it is good to know how others work.

1 more option: All Wink

I use them all, it depends on where I am and on which machine I am working, I understand that Tor+VPN is the best option to maintain privacy and navigate safely, including browsing Bitcointalk.

Hong Kong’s First Approved Crypto Fund Seeks $100M Target

Quote
Arrano Capital, the blockchain arm of Venture Smart Asia, announced they had met the regulatory requirements in HK to launch a crypto fund.

“We decided to launch this fund to address market demand from professional investors who are increasingly focused on Bitcoin as an alternative store of value.
Ultimately for Bitcoin to be widely accepted and for people to trust it, there needs to be regulation.

$166B Asset Manager Renaissance Eyes Bitcoin Futures for Flagship Fund

Quote
Renaissance Technologies’ market-crushing Medallion fund is considering jumping into bitcoin futures, recent regulatory filings show.

The quantitative analysis-heavy firm has “permitted” the Medallion fund to enter the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s (CME) cash-settled bitcoin futures market, according to the March 30-dated Form ADV investor brochure.

Renaissance, which had nearly $166 billion in regulatory assets under management at the end of 2019 according to that filing, has effectively signaled that bitcoin could or already is a factor for its flagship Medallion fund, whose 66 percent average pre-fee annual return since 1988 is unmatched on Wall Street.
