Not if the wallet is a success. Or a total failure. Good point  It takes time to find bugs, so anyway it will go up first. Then, panic buy is possible if no big problem is found. |

my idea (still in my head, so its nothing official), is to create an entire new blockchain (from block 0 ) , this is not a hardfork , i repeat is an entire new block chain that will fix most of our stability issues, also this new blockchain will come with a newer code that probably will incorporate new features (like anon transactions, dark gravity wave 3, etc etc).
Pros:
Difficulty will be restarted.
Addition of DGW3
Addition of DarkSend (in its actual RC1) and we can make our own version from that point.
Fixes in wallet and blockchain
cons:
Old Coins wont be compatible with new coins, so i will have to manually change the old ones for the new ones (this means you send your old coins to the premined wallet, and i will send the new coins to your new wallet)
All Services must update their Services (pools, exchanges etc) to the NEW chainblock.

Hello IParn, I am just a miner with few MHash/s, not too long involved in cryptocurrency world to have so much experiences, but it seems to me, if the overall gain is much higher than negative impact, it should be done. Yes, the change of old coins for new ones seems weird, and maybe someone will suspect it. But the premine of exactly the amount of already mined old coins is reasonable and I hope also explainable to community and potential critics. IMO it should not hurt the reputation of the coin. If it solves all the known problems, add a new features (dark send is very compelling one), and in comparison with hard fork will cost much less time and work, it looks like the best solution. J'hésite à prendre plus de Monero suite au problème de taille future de la blockchain, de mémoire plusieurs fois celle du BTC. Ce problème est-il analysé par les développeurs et même réglé ? Quelles sont les réponses ? Je ne vois que çà comme obstacle pour faire fois 10 au moins temporairement, donc question critique.

- Dumpers, trolls, haters and sellers have lost enormous money by panicking each time, as EVERYBODY TOLD THEM not to. I am sad for them and they are trying to catch any copycat bandwagon, with no odd of middle term success (Monero and bytecoin, then Libertycoin, X11 coin, perhaps limecoin (LIM), even XCP is having a mixer...)
- Liquidity is very low now, Prices can't go down and will skyrocket with no needs of firm reason or news.
What people want NOW is perfect bitcoin alternative with total privacy for their transactions. With so much adresses, the masternodes network can be solid and unattackable in the next few days. The absolute priority now is easy set up guides for everybody.
Devs, whales, investors...don't trade anymore and begin to set up Masternodes, and you will be rich in next days.
Holders may understand they cant accumulate more than 85% without hig risks to lose everything. Manipulation and dumps will be harder now, and are a total waste of time on the 500 M$ marketcap route.

Privacy in Counterparty is really important.
Like with bitcoin, we don't want people to know how many dividends we earned and which assets we are holding, or even trades strategy on each asset, etc
So a mixer or other privacy system is a big improvement, or requirement.

Thanks, this site is better with tags. Anyway, if I am losing ranks everyday, it means solid investors BEHIND me are buying, not top echanges (which are unfortunately far ahead !). Not complaining, just sharing facts towards trolls saying "Whales are dumping"....No, they are accumulating. |

+ BTC is rising and going mainstream,
And burners who wanted a quick profit have already sold for weeks...
