I have lost track of how many people have said exactly that about Josh Garza. But i really felt if he was given the chance he would do the right thing, but I was dead wrong. Negotiating with him will not happen again. We will now just continue to do our own thing and let him deal with his "best lawyers in the world". We'll see how far his lawyers are willing to go when the law is being broken and his trademark application for our PayCoin name-brand is torn up and mailed back to him. Thanks for having contacted him. Did he pretend not to know the original Paycoin ? If what you wrote down is true, in both cases, his answer was wrong. Either he acknowledged that he wasn't aware of the original paycoin and so stop using the name before launching it (it is not even on any exchange, and only 2 weeks old, so no excuses), or he acknowledged he obviously knew Paycoin (First on google and he is a top expert of cryptocurrencies...) and trademarked as soon as possible just to steal it, whatever the consequences. The reason he doesn't want to change the name is, I think, he has no plan fore more then 6 months so he doesn't care with a lawsuit... If not, he wouldn't take such enormous risks. What will happen when main investors discover it ?! That he obviously used (stole ?) the name from another coin in the same industry ? I don't know if we are really losing millions cap opportunity (Who can tell ?) BUT there is a 200 pages forum criticizing GAW and now people mixing up both paycoins. That's why using same names is forbidden...It is not only to profit for other's work, it is to prevent mixing up for customers / users. How many millions others names were available for their coin, especially with 100 M$ to spend for basic research ! I think we need people with bad experiences with GAW joining our coins as a protestation and stand against scams. It would be so ironical if PYC succeed much more than the copycat now :-) |

GAWminers is launching a new coin with the biggest ICO ever and this coin will be called PayCoin.
Would you want to launch such a massive project and have a competing coin with the same name get in the way?
So I think GAWminers is the one buying up all the PayCoin now to retire it, kill it or to buy out all the investors and maybe merge it with their coin so there is only 1 PayCoin.
It could be speculation but I doubt it cause no speculator would pay 15 times the currency market price.
Like I said last year, buy coins with great names and make a killing when they're taken over.

I think people are buying the coin thinking it's the GAW coin. Kinda ridiculous. I think it is ridiculous too from GAWminers to choose a existing and older coin ! When futhermore a takeover occurs, price could skyrocket. Look at bytecoin or bitcoin scrypt, or nTx or even the false maidsafe on Counterparty. This coin has a great future now, without having almost nothing to do... GAWminers will struggle with Paycoin, the original. They bought the right to use the name paycoin. They will not struggle and if something is ridiculous here, its your post. Such lack of research.... Why such denial ? It is rather dishonnest or unsensible to build a business with the name of someone else in the exact same Industry. It is the most straightforward way to be sued in 2 years when flourishing ! Any lawyer would basically recommend not to use another's name in the same industry. They can't say they didn't know...First thing you do when you have a name idea is to check google. This coin and thread is the first result in Google and every search engine... As others said, it is not because you buy all the names available in earth that you "buy a right to use a name"? The context and anteriority are decisive. It won't have any effect to patent "Bitcoin" in most developed countries of the world now. Anyway, I emphasized the spirit, not the legal affair. |

My wallets stopped sycning two weeks ago and is stuck. I have restarted the wallet multiple times and still nothing. Is anyone else having the issue?
This coin is officially dead. Dev is missing. Website and payment history are down. Don't think any exchange or pool still support it. Forget about it and move on. No news from the dev, but I have no problem with syncing and my wallet is still paying daily interests. That's why one should always buy a coin with a good name, even almost dead. Sooner or later, a bump occurs.
Like Goldcoin for example, totally undervalued, or even savecoin.

This doesn't seem an unreasonable target given the track record of the dev team, the potential market, and what we know of future plans for the platform. People who invest blindly make me nervous though. I would rather hear that you've done a full day's worth of research or more. That would help you decide how XCP fits in your portfolio and what kinds of things would have to happen for you to liquidate or reduce your position. Don't worry, I said "blindly follow" but I am a burner, and pushing XCP for months. It is more a kind of confidence after seeing numerous good calls. By the way, after continuous research and 8 months following this thread, I think he is right :-) |

1/ Why Archcoin ? Still over ICO price, Arch founder buying more (real 100 BTC wall), fully transparent about his whole wallet and his identity, well known by the twitter community...I don't see any criteria of a scam - except having made a ICO.
2/ What do you think about Ethereum ?
3/ And other assets sales/IPO (Maidsafe, Swarm, Storjx...) ? Enter your Scam list or not ?

La seule alt (qui plus est une crypto 2.0) qui monte actuellement c'est XCP. Pas étonné qu'elle détrône le Litecoin dans un avenir plus ou moins proche. Vraiment étonné que (presque) tout le monde l'ai ratée dans ce topic.
Tu plaisantes !!! 2 fois par mois il y avait un post détaillé sur la XCP, sans compter que SR a été le premier à informer tout le monde du burn en février (malgré le fait que cela diminuait mécaniquement sa part) Grâce à lui, on retrouve plein de frenchies dans la XCP. C'était difficile d'en parler plus sans troller. En tout cas, savourons notre petit fois 10-15 (sur 8 mois quand même). |
