DopeCoin has successfully infiltrated America!
Our first USA based retailer has come aboard and is just updating they're website to receive DopeCoins as we speak.
Additionally I am happy to announce that development is preparing to begin on the Android mobile wallet.
Shortly after we will be focusing on a payment API for retailers.
Things are once again steadily moving forward for the DopeCoin project.

@Dopey Epic artwork, looks totally awesome *thumbs up* These Flyers need to be printed in thousands and go out into every cannabis related store, maybe with a short technical explanation on the back. It is great how you are pumping retailer adoption, but imho we need some kind of USD exchange before being successful doing this. Is there already some kind of plan for this? I ve already emailed send-a-seed.com, as they are very trustworthy, but I ll send out that very convincing presentation of DopeCoin to those too. Thank you, please keep me updated on your efforts. |

Some great ideas, I love to always think BIG as well and this idea is being given serious consideration.
Here is an excerpt from a conversation I am having on the exact same topic with some very interesting ideas.
The structure has to be the key and it has to be built around Uruguayan farmers with writing that states as much. Structuring it around a foundation that runs an agriculture school with an emphasis on marijauna to educate all of these farmers, basically create a co-op out of them and for their ongoing training the foundation receives 10% of their revenue. Or, the foundation purchases land and find farmers to educate and work the land for eventual ownership, until then the foundation would get a 50/50 split.
There should also be something in there about 5-10% of the foundation proceeds go to infrastructure and the environment in the surrounding areas of the farms.
You tie the whole thing together with a nice marketing campaign that subtle and classy, which segways into a future of cannabis tourism with numbers from places like Amsterdam and now Colorado and Washington as baselines.
Now you bring up the DopeCoin idea as a side package and show how this foundation will actually work towards successfully stabilizing the first cryptocurrency which them investing in in its infancy would near guarantee not only an incredible return on investment, but also place Uruguay in a unique spot in the world.
I imagine there could be special land subsidies given and consignments through the political structure that it would greatly influence foreign investment.

I can see DopeCoin potentially being used for other markets other then intended. There will be a payment gateway publicly available and the opportunity will certainly be there.

I have personally sent over 1000 emails to various retailers and look forward to following up with each and every one of them over the coming days.
A reputable online retailer would be a tremendous benefit for our community. Anything you guys can do to help would be also much appreciated. Like I mentioned before we are in a race to secure as many reputable retail partners as possible before we shift our efforts entirely towards media coverage and exposure.

Your analysis of the last 2 weeks events are accurate.
We are pouring on the efforts around the clock to establish progress and will continue to do so until we have hit our goal.
I truly believe that DopeCoins controversial nature allows for a very interesting reporting opportunity and is something that can and will go viral when it gets into the right hands. Both negative and positive publicity are expected and warmly welcomed.
In order for DopeCoin to be in a position to fully capitalize on that eventual opportunity it is very important that we have some additional pieces of infrastructure in place. Right now for me it is more a matter of getting the infrastructure in place before we blow up.
I'd like for reporters to be able to say that DopeCoin is accepted in over ten retail locations around the world within the next couple weeks.
Our day will come, soon.

Okay the thread got a little weird overnight here, to get things back on track we are finalizing arrangements to bring Tokin Turtle, a small USA based marijuana clothing and apparel company with big dreams, onboard with the DopeCoin team.
We have also been contacted by the cryptocurrencyconvention.com team and in the process of opening a strong line of communication with them.
Small victories, day after day will get us to our end goal.

It's difficult to speculate at this point. The engine is moving forward and additional retailers and infrastructure is being brought on board.
DopeCoin is literally one tweet or blog post away from getting the viral exposure it needs. I am confident we will achieve this goal by working hard and bringing more supporters onboard.

Some great points have been brought up and I love to hear from you guys. We have a great community forming.
And I do fully agree, additional retailers and price stabilization are our 2 biggest hurdles that need to addressed.
If you take a look at coinmarketcap you can see that the top ten currencies all fluctuate for the most part in accordance with Bitcoins price.
This is where DopeCoin needs to be, within the top 10.
For a currency representing an industry of this nature and of this volume and considering Bitcoins previous history. This is an achievable goal and is the final box to be checked off of our todo list.
More retailers are on the way folks:) World wide penetration for DopeCoin by late 2014 seems very achievable at this point from my perspective.
As for the mining pool security flaw. I do not believe we have been affected by this. Hopefully we do not in the future, sadly I have little control over such things.
All I will recommend is don't use your pool as a bank, keep a minimal balance:)

I am pleased to announce that DopeCoins have officially been used to make it's first ever retailer purchase!A group of friends and I embarked on a long journey to Benidorm, Spain to meet up with the owner of SuperNatural, Dopecoin's first retail partner. SuperNatural is great little shop ran by Roberto, a true blooded Italian and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. This shop has everything a MMJ enthusiast could want, seeds, bongs, papers, vaporizers, grow supplies, stash boxes, you name it hes got it. I also have to give him props on his Juicy Jay rolling paper flavor selection. BANANA SPLIT!!!! Check out some of the things you can buy with DopeCoin folks.       What a fun shop, it was very hard for me to decide on what to buy! I finally settled on a cool black and green bong and Roberto upgraded me to a bigger bowl, free of charge!  We soon after completed the worlds first DopeCoin to retail transaction and made our entry into the world marketplace official.  I'll be coming back to visit Roberto again and can tell we will be friends for many years to come. Shortly after we met up with CryptoBrother and went to his bar for some ice cold beers and great food! Great meeting up with you bud, thanks for the hospitality. After returning from our long journey it was finally time to get down to some product testing. Check out the worlds first ever DopeCoin retailer purchase in action!
