601  Economy / Speculation / Re: Prepare for March 16 Dip on: March 13, 2014, 03:01:45 AM
As i stated before, March 16 is approaching. My Math genius friend who can predict chart futures confirms this (he is autistic), i have used this genius friend for making alot of Money from Bitcoin (i am also famous for having the hottest girlfriend in BTT)

Get ready will be good chance to buy low, there will be a major dip.  Margin of error for the major dip is +/- 2 days maximum

Remember remember the 16th of Marchmember.

I doubt it will but who am I to say he will be wrong?

You should take your buddy to Vegas, see if he can do any damage.

Anyways, I hope you're right as I would like to be able to buy in low.  Then again, I'm mostly posting here so it shows up in my "Show new replies" and I can keep an eye out and see if your buddies prediction is right.

Yes I do, a person would have to be really naive to believe that we are the only habituated planet in the universe.  I'm pretty sure they have already been here as well.  Some of the stuff on Earth can't really be explained. I'm sure they are a huge part of our history and we just don't realize it.

They still are.

Wouldn't surprise me.  I remember years ago on a camping trip seeing some pretty weird stuff happen up in the sky.  My buddies and I still talk about it to this day and can't figure it out. It happened about 20 years ago.

GTA:SA Smiley Good times..

Sand Andreas was good.

But when you say "good old times" just this show up in my mind

Good old times Cheesy
Is this the first GTA? Not sure since I haven't played the early ones.

Yes it is Smiley "Grand Theft Auto"  1997

I was 13 years old Smiley I remember it was realy hard to stop playing. And When "Grand Theft Auto 2" was released I was connected to local network with my neighbours and we did played in via LAN a lot Smiley

GTA 1 and 2 were most dirty games around in those times Smiley

I was 19 when the first GTA came out.  What a game.  My buddies were amazed at what you could get away with in the game.  Personally, Vice City is my favorite.  I've always been a big fan of gangster movies though, likely played a big roll in me liking it so much.  That was the last one I could get into.  I hated San Andreas, still a great game size wise, but it just couldn't keep me playing.

Had great hopes for the new one.  I think I played it for a couple hours.  Online was such a bust for me.

10 blocks is very little. It will happen once in a while that there are a few bad luck blocks grouped together, just like it will happen with lucky blocks.

Payouts over the last 500 shifts:

https://bitminter.com/stats/rewards

We are a small pool now and considering that fact the luck has been remarkably average. Sure we had a few lucky and a few unlucky rounds. But all in all it's very close to average.

Thanks for the pep talk Dr.  Needed that, LOL!  I'm gonna stick it out this time around.  Last time I left for a couple days, I regretted it. Missed out on a couple quick blocks.
605  Other / Off-topic / Re: Malaysia Airlines Flight 370. WTF? on: March 12, 2014, 10:25:45 PM

I would love to see Alien vs Humans war, can't wait.

lol, Well I just hope the people in that plane are safe, and all this is just some plot for some american series like Lost, or in worst case the plane was hijacked and it parked in some airport somewhere even it is really unlikely

Urgent, the Chinese found the plane check CNN NOW

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/03/12/world/asia/malaysia-airlines-plane/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Chinese satellite images may show crash site. Key word may.

May is the keyword here.  Didn't they apparently find evidence of the plane a couple days ago, only to find that it wasn't plane debris at all?

What, no one could think of putting a small GPS locator thingie on it? That's the size of a computer mouse or something.

What about GPS pings from passenger cell phones Huh .... they are all on right now. Something doesn't add up.

Yeah I heard the some of the passengers phones when called were ringing. If the plane was at the bottom of the ocean I assume coverage would be one bar maximum. lol.

Its fucked up,

My guess is that the plane is sitting on a tarmac somewhere at an abandoned airport. Seems weird that no one has claimed responsibility yet though. As for the cell phones, whoever hijacked the plane is probably jamming the cell signals with some kind of cell blocker.  If thats not it...

Aliens!

When Gox went down my phone started ringing. There were a lot of "I told you so" and a couple "Sorry you lost all your coins"

Was the "I told you so" about Bitcoin in general, just Gox or both? Because Gox and Bitcoin are entirely different things.

It was an "I told you so" about Bitcoin.  They assumed that when gox hit the news about going under that Bitcoin died on the spot or something. They assumed gox and Bitcoin were the same thing.

Not sure why some people are so happy to see others fail. They seemed so happy that they were right and I was wrong about Bitcoin.  Little did they know.

Try to step in their shoes.

They think, and still do, that Bitcoin is a scam. They resent that you tried to pull them into this scam. They are happy that they were right and still have their money. They want to prove it to you that they were right and you should get out. By continuing to believe in Bitcoin, they think you're a brainless cultist idiot, and they are basically saying they don't want to listen to you.

They're NOT happy you failed - instead, they are happy that THEY were not conned, and are saying 'I told you so' to the con-artist (you).

Now - your opinion is completely 180 degrees from what they think, and you think what they think is ridiculous. So, in trying to get them to open up about Bitcoin in the future, know where they are coming from. It's going to be a hard struggle to get them back, especially since now they don't trust you (not your fault, the medias, but fault doesn't really matter).

I see what you are saying, but I never really tried to pull them in.  I just tried to correct them on some bad information that they read and believed.  These are the same people who had a similar reaction when I bought a house. There attitude suddenly changed and some went on how I was making a huge mistake. The first year I bought, the market dropped a bit. They were the first to throw it in my face.

Move forward 3 years and it was the best decision I ever made. Trust me, some people just want to see others crash and burn.

It's very simple. People do not want to take the risk by investing in bitcoin, but they don't want to feel like they missed out on a huge opportunity either so they hope it fails. That's why people who don't know about bitcoin are so negative about it.

Perfect way to describe some of my friends/relatives reactions when I bought my house.

That must have been a nice house.

No, Canada has a ridiculous housing market.

Yours for 850k.

Not exactly.

Some major cities in Canada have a ridiculous housing market.  (Vancouver, Toronto)  You can buy a nice house in the burbs for a decent price in and around Vancouver though. Those 2 markets alone skew the stats a great deal. We've been hearing about a housing bubble around here for years, it hasn't happened, likely never will.

But there is a fun game people can play regarding the housing market in Vancouver:

614  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I just pre-ordered Terraminer IV June batch on: March 11, 2014, 08:19:59 AM
These Terraminers seem like a huge waste of money.  They are charging the same price for each batch while the difficulty keeps going up. Is it even possible to break even on these anymore?

They should be lowering the price each batch to take in account the difficulty increase.
615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most stupid comment you've heard about bitcoin? on: March 11, 2014, 07:30:27 AM
That it is worthless since no one accepts it as payment.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Co-workers talking about bitcoin.... so much misinformation still today on: March 11, 2014, 07:09:36 AM
When i visited my parents last month, I was asked if I lost all my Bitcoins. Apparently they were referring to the Mt.Gox melt-down: With the exchange reporting a large number of missing Bitcoins.

Heard about the apparent suicide at work. Had to filter through all the Mt.Gox news to find reference to it here.

When Gox went down my phone started ringing. There were a lot of "I told you so" and a couple "Sorry you lost all your coins"

Not sure why some people are so happy to see others fail. They seemed so happy that they were right and I was wrong about Bitcoin.  Little did they know.

People are so clueless when it comes to Bitcoin, mostly because they consider mainstream media as a credible source.  I used to try and correct people, now I don't bother. I figure they can figure it out for themselves down the road. I just know who to laugh at it Bitcoins do take off to where we all hope it does.  I'll be sending them all postcards from somewhere very nice.  On the back all it will say is "Wish you were here, but I told you so"

He is living a slobs freeloading world.

You guys should really put some deep thinking into this, It will all come together. Unless you are stupid ignorant fuck who likes sucking someone else's dick and getting herpes.
Hahahahahhahaha this is too good. Look at this guy's trust rating, and the words he spews out.
Looks like someone gambled a bit too much. Smiley

Now, provide us with some sources, links, proof, pictures, anything else to give your post some legitimacy?

Didn't think so.

What's more funny is when you read his trust feedbacks, and check the references.

Yep, I'm actually glad he posted in here. His trust references were well worth the read, LOL!

Best thread on the forums right now  Grin nice write up OP and as someone else said its not just good for teens to get schooled. Bitcoin and this forum has totally changed the way I see the world it was almost like taking a pill in the matrix for me at least and I'm an old git by your standards  Grin

I agree.  I think everyone should take an interest in Bitcoin and learn about it.  Hopefully at the very least it will open their eyes to how screwed up the current financial system really is. Far too many people seem to thing that the big banks have your best interest at heart and are there to protect your money.

I myself have never trusted banks and such, but learning about Bitcoin has shown me how much worse it really is.

I now get called the paranoid one in conversations about finances, LOL!
