601  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: October 23, 2023, 06:10:59 PM
Trading is a lifetime skill that is always beneficial if you know what you are doing, the biggest mistake of traders is trading alt that most times doesn't obey market structure,
when it comes to cryptocurrency, trade only Bitcoin.
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure, for the past 2yrs I have been trading, I only have losess only when I trading Alt, price action trading I utilize will trading always gives me result when trading Bitcoin, but when it comes to Alt I really do feel as if am gambling, so my fellow traders, trade only Bitcoin, I don't know if anyone feel the same way?
The reason why it is important to learn more about the asset you are going to trade is so that your money doesn't float away.  Bitcoin is a very volatile asset, but the reputation and liquidity that Bitcoin has are very high compared to altcoins in general, but there are also several altcoins that are quite common. traded by people such as ethereum, bch and bnb, while the assets you should avoid for trading are meme tokens and tokens that are just based on hype (such as DeFi and AI tokens), don't misplace your money in an asset when you trade, your money will be difficult to get back.

602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think gambling is inbuilt, kids don't learn it anywhere, they do it! on: October 23, 2023, 05:40:27 PM
The Australian Government once said about abolishing gambling ads as a means of reducing gambling activities amongst underage people. But, I think they'll be no successful way of stopping young people from gambling. As it's in them. Most articles here also say things like gambling addiction being hereditary. That means gambling can be hereditary as well. Because I just watched from a distant two kids below 10 years, staking bets, after a long argument about who the artiste of a specific song is. They later staked close to 40 cents each, for the person who gets the answer right. Then they went ahead to verify. And I lost sight of them. I thought about, how come or who thought these kids about betting money during a long argument. I was able to memorize, back when I was a kid. We easily said, how much would you bet if it turns out I'm saying the truth; during an argument. It made me understand that, despite during those days we had no phones or access to the internet, gambling is somehow embedded to the brain of humans. Then, as a child, we weren't exposed to gambling. I could only remember of lotto, as a kid. But we still said things like "let's bet it"
Yes, gambling is ingrained in our DNA as humans, it's not a myth, it's not just the small children you mentioned who bet even when no one taught them to bet, i also bet quite often (my friends and i have also bet on candy) with friends when there was a small argument that we had when i was very young.  governments in countries that want to eradicate gambling are actually quite stupid in doing that, gambling will not be possible to eliminate for everyone, there will continue to be people who gamble even at a very young age, i continue to encourage gambling that is well educated and also responsible.
603  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the need to be known a requirement to qualify for a loan(s)? on: October 23, 2023, 05:24:20 PM
I have come to realize that our traditional local banks only really give out loans to persons, or organizations that are known either online or offline and has a location with documents to proof their existence.
Same goes for those who use loan apps. You have to at least identify with the verifications stressing on passport, state of residence, age, and the funny thing is that your device location will be required to be turned on while doing all this or even applying for the loan.

I have no doubt my observation is applicable to even crypto currency lenders, because even these days the P2p system isn't as decentralized or anonymous as before where we think we were trading with bots or fake people/scammers.

Is there any truth to the fact that an individual needs to be known in any place before they can qualify to receive loans?
That is, is the need to be known or identified really required to qualify for a loan?

What are thoughts?

even in this forum, lenders like in "board lending" prefer borrowers who have a good reputation, especially in the real world, when i first borrowed money from the bank, there were many questions asked by the bank to me, even though they initially refused to give me a loan because i couldn't show them that my income was stable and could pay them on time, i'm sure this applies all over the world, reputation is the most important thing in this world, without it it will be very difficult for you to succeed trusted other people, especially the borrower, keep your name good.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: October 22, 2023, 08:54:03 PM

Newcastle's match strategy is excellent. And because of the match strategy they are able to perform very well despite being a mediocre team. Newcastle also did very well against PSG. Newcastle managed to score 4 goals despite not attacking much. Their performance is very organized. Every attack is planned. Newcastle kept their defense tight and then tried to attack. This makes it difficult for opponents to break down Newcastle's defence.

Dortmund are in good form in the Bundesliga. However, their performance in the Champions League is a bit slow. Their performances seem to favor the Bundesliga over the Champions League. However, Newcastle will have to play well if they want to beat them. Especially the attacking players have to play well. Otherwise, they will not be able to break Newcastle's defense.

I think this is what some of us might be getting wrong and I am also speaking about myself. Newcastle can create the impression that they are a mediocre team because there is no Neymar or Mbappe or Ronaldo on their team. They are no names for the most part and by saying that I don't want to express that I really mean what most people understand when they hear the term no name. They have a careful approach to buying players and they prefer the compatibility of a player over the popularity of names. It is successful what they are doing and I think they are above mediocre.
In the Bundesliga, Dortmund is still one of the unbeaten teams until matchday 8, while Newcastle has lost 3 times in the EPL, this can be a good consideration as to which team is likely to come out to win in the UCL match later.  Dortmund is in good form, when they faced Bremen last time, Dortmund managed to win narrowly 1-0 through a goal scored by Brandt in the 67th minute.  i really like the 4-5-1 formation which Terzic uses quite often, it seems that when Dortmund faces Newcastle in the UCL, Terzic will use that formation again.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 22, 2023, 08:24:06 PM
Chelsea really had good form in the first half, it wasn't about the goals but I was impressed with the team's performance. But they lost concentration when building an attack from below in the second half where Robert Sánchez miscalculated when passing the ball to his partner which led to Declan Rice's goal.

Declan Rice's goal opened up big hopes for Arsenal to comeback, as a result they managed to do it through Leandro Trossard's goal. Chelsea have improved in terms of appearance, but they are not yet stable on all fronts. So it was a good job from Pochettino and I hope he can make more changes to Chelsea's performance in the next game. Nicolas Jackson is bad, really he is too bad when he has goal chances.
Arsenal were very lucky, they were able to recover from a 2-0 defeat in the first half, as the hosts, Chelsea actually played very well, they managed to put a lot of pressure on Arsenal in the first half and Arsenal only had a slight "ball possession" advantage over Chelsea.  With this draw, Arsenal remains in 2nd place with the same points as Man City, Arsenal are still unbeaten to date.

Man Utd succeeded in narrowly winning over Sheff, thanks to the goals scored by McTominay and Dalot.  Sheff Utd also provided many attacks which made Man Utd's defense a little overwhelmed, they succeeded in making 12 shots and 6 shots on goal.  Sheff remains at the bottom of the standings while Man Utd is in 8th position in the standings.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your doubt has no effect on gambling. on: October 22, 2023, 11:42:56 AM
snip

However, I will say that even your doubt can not make a game that you are supposed to win lose, because gambling doesn't work with mindset, it works with the risk and not your fear. Why the risk is because if you don't risk your money in gamble, you will not lose or even win.
Believe it or not, negative emotions always have a bad impact on your gambling and fear is one of the negative emotions that is felt by quite a lot of gamblers out there, sometimes i also feel it but i always gamble on games that i am quite good at, i will not ever wanted to bet just by relying on luck alone! it's really dangerous, especially since gambling is an activity that will always be risky (winning or losing is not completely under your control)

but what i have noticed is that when you are in doubt or afraid, it is better to stop betting for that day, you have to be confident if you want to win and the case OP experienced can be said to be a big stroke of luck.
607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot Educational on: October 21, 2023, 10:28:54 PM
Always maintain self-control when engaged in gambling activities. Never act beyond your limits, and remember that there is no successful gambler born from gambling.
Yes, it's true that the most important thing to do before gambling is to be able to control yourself and understand the risks involved, sometimes many beginner gamblers when they first start gambling they play beyond the limits of other normal gamblers and in the end when they experience defeat they lose everything. Instead, they regret the money they have, even though they should know that gambling carries the risk of losing money.

This message must be continuously reminded to beginners that gambling must have limits, for example limiting the budget so that they don't become addicted, let alone playing beyond their limits, thereby damaging their mindset. even though it is clear that gambling is not a place to make a lot of money because not many gamblers are truly successful because of gambling unless they become a bookie
There are several slot gamblers who are successful in making a lot of money because they really had great luck that day, but is everyone's luck the same, so for those of you who feel you won't be so lucky when playing slots, you must have good financial management when playing, don't gamble beyond the limit of money you have, because there are thousands of cases of gamblers who have large debts because they lost playing slots and so on.  Apart from being in debt, another bad habit of gambling addicts is always selling valuables that they own or their family has for gambling, well this kind of education is important to spread to every gambler or person who has the potential to become a gambler.
608  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: October 21, 2023, 09:04:17 PM
There are many people around us, where their income is not enough to manage a family how do you manage your family and economy? There are many people who manage their family very well even though their income is very low in their personal life, how do you manage it?
Of course reducing your lifestyle is something that must be done by every family with a low income, just imagine that currently, the world economy is in an uncertain direction, my country is also not free from that, meanwhile, if your family has a high lifestyle but the financial strength of your family is not able to cover it, your family will be at the extreme poverty line, you will definitely start to incur debt and will not be able to save.  remember, as long as you and your family use the money you have only for food and drink, then you and your family will be able to survive for quite a long time.

609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common mistakes by unskilled traders on: October 21, 2023, 08:36:57 PM
Many newbie and crypto enthusiastic think trading is easy until they lose on the first day, 1 week,1month, 1year and they finally quit.
There are common mistakes they usually makes which are,

_ Not planing there trades: there is a popular saying that he who fail too plan, plan to fail.
Before entering a trade, an entry point and exit point must be spotted if you want to succeed.

_ Don't make emotional driven decisions: Emotions like fear and greed can cloud our sense of reasoning and leads to impulsive action, just stay calm and stick to your plan.

_ Not managing risk properly: this protect your capital, by using stop loss other, It minimize potential losses.

_ Not doing enough research: knowledge is key in trading , knowing the craft is very important, take your time to study the market, analyse chart pattern, and stay updated to news that can impact your trade.

Remember trading requires not just strategy, but discipline
discipline in trading is not easy, there are many things we have to do to discipline ourselves in trading, one of which is to set an initial budget or capital in trading very wisely, put your money in 2 or 3 assets that you believe can provide you with profit (not investing in just 1 assets), try to relax and control the emotions well and evaluate (or what is often called correcting) the trading results that we have made so far.  anyway, at the beginning, I said that discipline in trading is not easy, but that doesn't mean you can't master it, if you really work hard for it then you will definitely become very disciplined in trading.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 20, 2023, 05:59:20 PM
I met a friend who used about $1 to play gamble to win about $2500 in a game of different matches, all the early games went well but the last game cut which made him loose the game.  This lose made him to be sick for 3 days, the reason for his reaction was not because of the money he used to bet but he felt so bad because he has already put all his hope on the money he would have won.

People needs not to put all their hope in games they are not sure of winning, because relying on it can be very dangerous to the mental health. Play gamble and remove your mind from the money that will be gained till it is achieved.
Unhealthy things that make you stressed in gambling are,
- consider gambling the fastest way to make money.
- consider the winning percentage to be the most important thing than the losing percentage.
- using money you can't afford to lose.
- gambling without remembering the time.
- not having good money management in gambling.

now what about your friend's condition! is he still unable to forget the defeat he received previously! is he still not willing to accept that defeat? you must be able to try to persuade him to forget that defeat and look at the future better so that he will be able to win again in the gambling that he will do next.
611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You are also like them? on: October 20, 2023, 05:37:30 PM
Watching these YouTuber 'technical analysts' is like witnessing a comedy show. They just scribble lines on a Bitcoin chart and act like they're gazing into a crystal ball. But the reality is, they're about as accurate as a broken clock – right only twice a day. It's laughable how they sell this snake oil, predicting the future with squiggly lines. I wouldn't bet a Satoshi on their so-called insights!
on my personal YouTube, i quite often watch trading analyses made by YouTubers, i know their main goal is just to get viewers for the videos they have made but i don't immediately underestimate them, i will use what they explain as consideration material.  anyway, it's your right to think that what they are doing is a joke, but if you have an open mind then you will make the analysis they do as a consideration only and not completely a final decision on your trading.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Much do you Value your Privacy in Gambling? on: October 20, 2023, 05:18:59 PM

Will you go ahead and provide them all they require from you for account verification, so they can process your withdrawal request, or will you willingly forfeit such amount of money back to the casino on the account that your private information is more expensive than that amount of money you have own from them?

I love to read your thoughts on this.
If i win big at a new casino and they require me to do KYC then of course big doubts will come over me, i will definitely immediately rack my brain and do a little tricky thing to keep my privacy safe, that is by paying someone to do KYC for me.  i don't easily trust casino gambling sites that are relatively new, of course their system is still not well conceptualized and also the money they hold is not necessarily that much, rather than exposing my personal data to their site, it's better for me to pay someone a little money and do it KYC for me (just my thoughts, don't copy it lol)
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To protect consumers, Australia has introduced new regulations for cryptocurrenc on: October 19, 2023, 08:29:30 PM
Even though the steps taken by the Australian government are very good, they are reportedly trying hard to control crypto transactions that occur in Australia.
Quote
On the one hand, regulation can provide clarity and stability to the crypto industry. Thus, making it more accessible to investors and boosting mainstream adoption. It can also protect consumers from fraudulent or illegal activities and prevent money laundering and other criminal activities.
[1]
Reportedly they will also ban Monero and Zcash from there, but i'm not sure they will be able to do that considering the majority of crypto users really like with anonymity.  Crypto investors from Australia are obliged to respond to this policy, i am sure that when this rule is enforced strictly, more and more crypto investors will transact via P2P.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question for those who loose too frequently in gambling on: October 19, 2023, 08:08:09 PM
I have often wondered about the people who have lost a lot in gambling and who almost loose in every gambling activity they participate. What is their reason or motivation to continue even after so many losses?
actually there is no motivation for that, they just really like gambling, i have also lost several times but did that loss make me have to stop gambling! Of course i won't, it's the same thing with those who you see quite often lose at gambling but still play, they continue to play not because they want to return the capital they have lost but because they want to continue playing because when they gamble they feel entertained or just want to just relax.  anyway, gambling has become a common activity for many people so there is no need to be surprised.
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: October 19, 2023, 07:22:49 PM

I know that these are all pure assumptions, but instead of speculating massive ATH and 3x or 4x returns, which are way too common in the forum, why not expect something that is more probable to happen in the near future? And to be honest, doubling your investment is a great yield that cannot easily be found in other forms of investment.
In fact, the goal of people investing is to see the value of the money they invest double or so on, we just have to count the months until the Bitcoin halving actually occurs, but currently there are quite a lot of people who are preparing their money to invest in Bitcoin when the halving occurs.  i myself don't have high expectations for the price of bitcoin, which many predict will exceed the ATH during the halving, but i am very confident that the price of bitcoin will move high when the halving occurs.
616  Economy / Economics / Re: Young people needs productive mindset to be happy in life on: October 18, 2023, 10:58:35 PM
Things has really changed unlike before when a graduate is coming out from the university their are job opportunities around the corners, people don't even stress themselves to acquire skills as an alternative just in case they don't get a job. Getting a job as a graduate some years back was a thing never to argue about or think about.  In this recent time things have really changed, expecting so much from the government as a graduate can lead people into serious problems.  The life we live now is so unpredictable, no one can be sure of practicing their desired career from what they have learnt in school.

I think if people really want to be happy in life, expecially undergraduates and young graduate they should learn not to give all expectations of having living job from the government.  If people create the mindset of being creative and productive in this era they will live a more happy life than putting all expectations of getting a dream job from the government.  A productive mindset is what young people needs to make life easy and worth living.
Yes, the further forward, life is increasingly unpredictable, even what i am currently living is 180 degrees off from what i dreamed of when i was still in school, the point is, don't be too fixated on work that comes from the government, you have to be able to stand up. on your own feet and fight for your future as best you can, unemployment which is currently a problem in many big cities of the world, is actually not entirely the government's fault, the lack of job opportunities because there are no young people who are interested in starting a business is the real main reason.
617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Need Satoshi? on: October 18, 2023, 10:20:44 PM
As the creator of Bitcoin, of course, people will continue to be curious about who Satoshi is! they also want to continue to worship Satoshi and make satoshi like one of the great people of all time, but Satoshi doesn't seem to want that, he/she/them is very aware that the danger he/she/them will receive is far greater than the reward will receive, so we must be able to respect the decision he/she/them made (took not to show his/her identity to the public), that was a choice and consideration he/she/them made.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ? on: October 18, 2023, 07:18:30 PM
Will you leave gambling if your future wife/husband tells you to do this ?
no matter how much i love my partner, if it involves gambling then i will try to ignore her prohibitions, but the language i use is of course polite and will not offend her because she will definitely be worried about me and persuade me to stop gambling.  i will also try to convince her that i will not change to another person even if i gamble, i am responsible for my gambling actifity and will not turn into a gambling addict.. building good communication in every relationship is important.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do your parents know about your gambling habit ? on: October 17, 2023, 08:41:34 PM
Most of the grown up people do not live with parents. At such, the parents are not aware about the interests and habits of individuals. Do you parents know that you gamble ? What was their first reaction towards your gambling habit ?
i haven't lived with my parents for a long time so i don't need to worry about them finding out that I often gamble, my parents once told me, whatever i do outside the house, i have to do it with full responsibility and readiness, after all my parents still have an old-fashioned mindset, i don't want to burden them with strange thoughts, they still think that gambling players are the trash of society (they are quite religious people in their old age and are very against their children gambling)
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: October 16, 2023, 05:02:29 PM

Some months later i came across a telegram channel and i joined, it was a gambling channel that posted free sports bets for its users and there is also a VIP section where users subscribe for some sure games. I am well aware of all these techniques used by scammers so I decided to observe the channel and follow up games posted and I discovered he won most of the games and had about 80% victory rate. Then after some time I decided to try my luck again so I played one of his games and i won i was so happy and it was as though the curse placed on me has been lifted and I tried some more games and i won again and again and since the beginning of the new season i only lost twice and i am now proud of my gambling achievements.

According to the channel free games are limited and we can only enjoy for a month and now the month is almost over and only VIPs will be entitled to games when the month elapses. I have been having doubts whether to join the VIP zone because I don’t want to be scammed that’s why i want to know your opinions.

What do you all think i should do?
The thing you should avoid is actually giving your money to pay for something that you are not sure about and make sure of, and from your story your winnings since joining the Telegram group have increased drastically. then to be honest, in my opinion you are the one who should be able to decide for yourself what you will do and if indeed that Telegram group can help you continue to win then joining their VIP group is an option you can take.  Even though i have never joined any Telegram group when it comes to gambling, if there is a group that can really give me a high winning percentage then i think paying to that group is not too detrimental.
