601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees and how we accept its volatility on: January 05, 2024, 05:27:31 AM
from this it can be concluded that changing bitcoin fees should not be an obstacle to bitcoin adoption.  For those who transact Bitcoin with small amounts, it's a good idea to pay attention to the time because you will definitely find the best time to process your Bitcoin transactions.

The high transaction fee is a major impediment to the use or adoption of Bitcoin. Transaction fees might have dropped now but will someone have to wait until the price is reduced before carrying out a transaction? Some persons use Bitcoin to make payments for business transactions and such delay could hamper the smooth running of the firm. I have also observed that transaction fees also reduce during certain hours of the day. Observing the timing of the transaction fees in the mempool to identify favourable hours might also be beneficial. But I know that Bitcoin will gain more adoption if the spamming of the network by these ordinal inscriptions is put to check.

Very nice, so what happened to make the fees go down?
Anyway good chance I hope the fees stay this low for a long time, I have postponed all my transactions and it looks like I will get them done before the fees go up again.
That's the point, how long will this normal transaction fee last? The Bitcoin community has not found the solution to this spamming of the network by Bitcoin Ordinals, which means we might see another season of high fees very soon.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: January 05, 2024, 05:01:04 AM
However, this possibility is still just a rumor because in fact Liverpool has not said clearly that they will sell Mohammed Salah to Saudi Arabia because the terms of the sale must reach a joint decision, not just one-sided if Salah doesn't want to go there, if I think about it, it looks like Liverpool will still keep him at least until the season This ended because Salah role is still very important and Liverpool will not necessarily be able to replace Salah with another player if it is possible that Salah will leave transfer market this January, while Mbappe will not necessarily immediately accept the offer.
Selling Mo Salah and buying Kylian Mbappé will be beneficial to all the parties involved. Liverpool will benefit because Saudi clubs are willing to pay a good sum that could help them facilitate the buying the Mbappé. They will also have much younger attacker that will add more vigor to the Liverpool attack. Although they will lose an experienced Legend but Mbappé is one of the best in the world currently.

Salah will also benefit because he would earn more than he has ever gotten in his entire football career. Saudi-based clubs will be willing to pay him close to what Ronaldo and Benzema earn. And he would also enjoy the culture and religious orientation of Saudi Arabia. PSG might be the biggest loser but Mbappé is willing to forgo his £69million loyalty bonus for him to have a smooth transfer out of the club. For Mbappé, Liverpool will give him a better platform to achieve his dreams of winning the Champions League, maybe next season. He would also enjoy the honour to become the biggest player in the most popular league in the world.

Quote
Of course if Mohammed Salah leaves and is replace by Kylian Mbappe it won't be a big problem for Liverpool but unfortunately there are many clubs who want Mbappe such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal so at least Liverpool must reach a definite agreement before taking step to sell Salah because it is feared that the dream of recruiting Mbappe will not come true.
Liverpool is now the biggest contender for the signature of the French striker after Real Madrid announced that they have ended their aspiration to get Mbappé. Mbappé also commented that he likes Liverpool because it is his mother's favourite club. I think the English side will be able to fund this transfer if Salah decides to move to the money-spinning Saudi league.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: January 04, 2024, 01:34:05 PM
In this case I disagree with Nayib Bukele approach because it is better not to educate children on Bitcoin education at a young age. If children are educated in bitcoin education at this age then they will become addicted to earning money from bitcoins as soon as they become addicted to earning money from bitcoins they will develop reluctance towards education. A child's education will be ruined whenever there is a reluctance to study in a child. And if education is lost from a child, that child can never become a human being. In my opinion I would say that children cannot be educated in bitcoin education at a young age. When a child is educated and turns 18+ then you can be ready to educate them in bitcoin education.
How do you see Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a currency designed to be used to pay for goods and services. I don't know what is wrong with teaching children about a currency that promotes decentralization and privacy. After all, money is part of the curriculum of most primary schools, so it is not wrong to introduce these young children to Bitcoin. What is wrong with preparing the young generation for the future? Don't forget that Bitcoin is legalized in El Salvador and citizens including children should be able to know how to use this currency.

I am sure these children will only be interested introduced to the basics of Bitcoin and little or no emphasis will be placed on Bitcoin as an investment. @2Pizza410000BTC don't just see Bitcoin as an investment but also perceive it as a currency.
604  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why it's very important to develop a thick skin on: January 04, 2024, 12:45:31 PM
In life you cannot please everyone, what Mr A might do in a certain situation is totally different for what Mr B will do, we as humans we just have to follow the right path and do the right thing.
It's very important that if you really want to succeed in life you must learn how to develop a thick skin, look at our leaders today, they go through all sort of criticism because there are certain policies that we doesn't agree too, but they still stand strong and keep on doing the work they were elected for.
To succeed in every area of life, it is important to know how to handle criticism. This is because people will always speak against what you do even if it is right. We should learn how to treat these attacks because humans have different views about everything this is why you don't expect people to accept everything you say or do. But I am not comfortable with your expression that politicians should have a thick skin even when the people are speaking against policies. This assertion might mean that our leaders shouldn't heed the yearnings and aspirations of the people which is a sign of autoritarianism. Politicians should have a thick skin but they should be open to listening to the desire of the people.

Quote
Their are so many people out there that small criticism of how they are going wrong, they would want to run away, by resigning or quiting, but to be successful you need to understand that you cannot please everyone, and your decision making might be wrong which will definitely attracte criticism, but a man with thick skin will learn from it and move on instead of quitting.
If you know that what you are doing is right, there is no need to give up. There will always be attackers that will want to kill a good vision or dream but we have to be able to separate between constructive criticism and calculated attacks. There is always light at the end of the tunnel if you don't give up on a good project.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you see a gambling review website that has its own gambling website? on: January 04, 2024, 12:21:57 PM
I am asking this question because, for me, there could be a possible conflict of interest here.

As a review site running its own gambling site, there might be a concern that they could potentially undermine their competitors on their website to boost their own standing in the competition. This could involve making biased or false statements to praise their own website.

While I'm not certain if this is happening in the real world, it raises the question of whether you would trust a review website in such a case.
I know that there are many trustworthy casino review websites, but I don't rely on them for information. Before approving any gambling platform, it is important to do your research. It is not proper for a gambling site to have its review site, this is because the gambling review site will only publish good things about their own casino while it will only show the weaknesses of other competitors. They might claim to be unbiased but there will still be some level of partiality. I will not trust such a review site because it will be used as an instrument of propaganda.
606  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the btc price reach 100k ? on: January 04, 2024, 12:08:06 PM
What do you guys think?
The price of Bitcoin can be determined or affected by both political and economic factors which makes it unpredictable. Positive news can make the price appreciate while it can go contrary when the news is unfavourable. Currently, the price is closely determined by the approval or disapproval of the application of the Bitcoin ETF. The upcoming halving is also a determinant of the price of the coin. However, we have seen many people make predictions but I believe all these are based on certain indicators that are also dynamic. The best approach to investing in Bitcoin is to see it as a long-term investment and give less attention to fud.
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 04, 2024, 11:55:04 AM
How can the best team in the world to go out from UCL? it's impossible to happen. Real madrid was among the strongest team in the UCL. It's impossible for the club to leave from UCL. it's caused by real madrid has been trying so hard to build its momentum. Ancellotti has been preparing the best club in the world to win UCL for several years. Im doubting what you guys are saying above caused by real madrid is having the higest power in the UCL this time.
Real Madrid is in good shape currently, no doubt about it. But we shouldn't forget that this is the knockout phase of the UCL. There will be no second chance if there is any blunder. Madrid won all the matches in the group stage but they are not still unbeatable. They lost against Villarreal and recently struggled to win the game against Mallorca yesterday. RB Leipzig might not be a top club in Europe but a draw and a win could give Madrid the shock of all time.

Quote
Real madrid will be going to the at least semi final as the worst result from the club. El real got easy opponent and it will be another easy match. Im sure that real madrid is going make it to go to the final.
Im not even doubting it since the qualify of team has said a lot about that. It seems like that some may still doubt it.

Based on their current performance and position in La Liga we can assume that they are favourites to be in the Semifinals but football is unpredictable, so we have to wait to see how it goes. Even if they make it to the quarterfinals, they might have to battle clubs like Bayern Munich, Manchester City and other top clubs.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: January 03, 2024, 04:40:47 PM
This is a tricky one but I think the gambling assistant has said it all, that he's harmless and that's what you should go with. The dude is a fully grown man, he doesn't steal to gamble, he takes care of himself by doing odd jobs. So as long as he appears okay, does what every normal person does whenever he's in the gambling shop, then he should be allowed to stake his bet and leave. If at any point anything changes, then he should be stopped.
I like your explanation that he should be stopped if there are any signs of misbehaviour. But I am really scared at this point because I have seen some mentally unstable people react in a violent manner that leads to serious injuries to some people. You might think they behave normally or are harmless but I have observed that mental illnesses can increase if the sufferer does not have access to proper medical attention.  As much as everyone is free to gamble, such people have to be properly observed because there might be a sudden change in their behaviour. The management of the gambling houses or casinos should give more priority to the safety of gamblers than profit.
609  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Nigeria unbans cryptocurrency on: January 03, 2024, 04:21:45 PM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/digital-assets/2023/12/27/nigerian-banks-set-to-launch-compliant-naira-stablecoin-in-2024/
"Following the Central Bank of Nigeria's circular, a consortium of Nigerian banks, fintechs, and blockchain companies are developing a Naira stablecoin, cNGN, with sources close to the project stating a planned launch in 2024.

Naira Stablecoins
The concept of a Naira stablecoin has been floating around for several years, with previous attempts in the past. The most recent was NGNT by the Token Mint consortium in 2019, consisting of major Nigerian crypto exchanges and African communities, including Helicarrier and Busha. NGNT is pegged 1:1 with the Naira and is on the Binance Smart Chain and the Ethereum Network, as BEP-20 and ERC-20 tokens, respectively."
The past administration in Nigeria intended to shift citizens' attention from cryptocurrencies to the Nigerian stablecoin called the eNaira. But this lofty dream didn't materialize because people already knew that the eNaira was nothing but an online Fiat. The Nigerian currency was losing value every day and the people were using Bitcoin and others to shield their Investments from inflation and decline in the value of the Naira.

I think the government has realized that there is nothing it can do to reduce the adoption of cryptocurrency, so they have no other option than to remove the restrictions placed on commercial banks. With the removal of these restrictions, I expect the Nigerian crypto industry to experience development in all spheres.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Focus on how much you may lose and not only the potential win. on: January 03, 2024, 03:45:41 PM
The fact that you won  using $1k today doesn't give assurance that if you had used higher amount or that your next bet that you probably increased the wager in order to win a bigger amount will play. As gamblers let not focus all attention on the amount that we may by chance of luck win but on what we are to lose should we fail to win the bet, in that way we won't spend on gambling above what we can afford to lose.
Stay in check!
I have also had such though because you will always wish you win more from betting higher. But like you rightly included in your post let our focus be on how much we might lose and not how much we will win. Having this mindset is important because it will help us to reduce over-gambling. But a perfect means of overcoming the temptation or urge to bet above what we cannot afford to lose is our ability to have and judiciously follow a gambling budget. Having a budget will save you from the pressure to gamble more than you can be able to lose.

It can be said that it is greed because you are not satisfied with the amount won only $1,000 of the amount of capital you spend, honestly I never bet a larger amount it is too risky and I can't afford to lose a lot of money in the game.
Greed caused by a lack of contentment could contribute to the motivation to increase the bet because you assume you could win more. I think it is always important to be content with wins because gambling is unpredictable. Nobody knows the outcome of any bet, which is why gamblers should be careful.
611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Campaign a cheap DCA method. on: January 03, 2024, 03:12:27 PM
On a serious note. Don't forget to accumulate now. Campaigns are relatively free but there are other methods like using your lunch money  Cheesy, luxurious bags with different brands. Btc $45K and shooting, I'm so excited.Truly there's no sweeter opportunity like a dip.
Earning Bitcoin is an opportunity to hold and make a profit from it. I have seen many posts by some newbies where they ask how they could earn Bitcoin by offering services. But just like every other work, you have to put enough effort into building your account to join a campaign. Even when you join a campaign you are still expected to fulfill your obligation to the satisfaction of the campaign manager and the organization are promoting. You might be able to join any campaign if you don't put effort into your posts to get merits to build your accounts.

Your perception that it is free or cheap money is not true because you still need to put in a lot of effort before you can be able to earn some SATs. However, the weekly pay could be a good DCA opportunity, if you can keep doing it for a long time.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 03, 2024, 01:26:50 PM
Im not surprised that Mourinho's name continues coming up in rumors, especially with PSG. However, Mourinho's style is outdated for a fast-paced, modern club. PSG needs a coach who fits their style and philosophy, and Mourinho's old-school tactics dont work.
I don't subscribe to your position that Jose Mourinho's style of play is outdated. If it is archaic, how did manage to make it to the Europa League finals last season? Roma has also qualified for the second round of the same competition and is in the 7th position in the Seria A. Roma has a very limited budget compared to other top clubs in Italy. With the financial strength of PSG, Jose will get all the players he needs and you will be shocked with his performance.

Quote
However, PSG's frequent coach changes arent helping. They must invest in a process, follow a plan, and give their coach time to accomplish their goal. Switching things up hinders team development. They must consider long-term to dominate locally and in Europe.
The club has a single goal of winning the UEFA Champions League and any coach that fails to achieve it, will be sacked. They don't care if the coach was able to win the League One title, all PSG management wants is the UCL. I think they should give Luis Enrique more time to rebuild the team towards European glory.
613  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETF will probably not approved yet, so BTC and the others crypto will go down !! on: January 02, 2024, 08:12:38 PM

ETF will probably not approved yet, so BTC and the others crypto will go down !!

I heard it today at night from the man, who has that supposedly from a trusted source... Of course it is not guaranteed information, but why risk. When I sell the crypto and the news will confirmed, it will save me thousands, and if not, nothing happens, I just buy it back before the price rises. When I think about it, the more people will sell, the more the price drops, so even if the message will not confirmed, it could help too, because at the same price everyone would get more ...
Hope it will help to people...

PS:
I wanted to put it on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and so on ... but I don't have my laptop with login info, so if someone could help and send that ...
It could help many people ...
                                                  Thanks and Bye

I don't know the source of your information but that is your own opinion. Everything investment has a level of risk attached to it. I don't really care about the ETF because Bitcoin doesn't rely on it to be profitable. Bitcoin reached  all-time high price of $68,789.63 without these institutional investors, so the decision of the SEC is not my problem. Even if the price goes down, it will surely go up with time.

ETF will probably not approved yet, so BTC and the others crypto will go down !!

You're an idiot for selling your crypto because of unconfirmed news.  Selling cryptos based on rumors rarely pans out well.  While the excitement around a potential ETF approval is understandable, acting on unconfirmed news tends to backfire and  instead of panicking, the wiser move is simply to hold steady. Whatever happens with the ETF the market will respond accordingly.

You don't call somebody an idiot for making a decision. The money is his own and not yours so he should be allowed to make his Investment decision. The Bitcoin space also needs people like this to make the market profitable. At least somebody will buy at a cheap price from people who want to dump their coin because of FUD.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With gambling, it's probably easier to quit cold turkey on: January 02, 2024, 07:52:55 PM
Not possible for a gambling addict to quit slowly. If gambling is a problem, the best is to just quit. After he quits, he can start to gamble again after a year. If he sees that he is still gambling in a way he waste money on it, he can quite again. This is how I stopped my gambling addiction.

But if the gambler do not quit and not able to quit, he needs something like rehabilitation program or medical consultant.
You won't say it is not possible because humans act and react to issues differently. It might not work for you but it might be the best solution for someone else. I have seen drug addicts who are permitted to take lesser addictive drugs to help them gradually quit drugs. Some therapists might recommend marijuana for a heroine or cocaine addict. Gradually it might be reduced to cigarettes until the person fully gains control over his life. So I believe gamblers can quit gradually. Maybe one can gradually reduce the amount and time he spends on casinos and this could help to curb excessive gambling.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 02, 2024, 07:37:37 PM
I would also say that this season Napoli is too bad with the status of defending champion. The performance has been very unstable even though they have basically hired two different coaches in one season. The squad is no different, it's just that the team's performance and changes in strategy affect the game which makes Napoli weaker.

Napoli need to get up and try as hard as they can to return to the top 4. They should try to end this season in the Champions League places, I think that is the best target for Napoli instead of retaining the title. They know what their weaknesses are, but the team is struggling to find their best form.
I assume that two things might be wrong with the Napoli team. The first one is that they have failed to hire the best coach that suits the club's standard as defending champions. The two coaches that have been hired since the departure of Luciano Spalletti have not had any positive impact on the club. Rudi Garcia and Walter Mazzarri are average coaches who have never won any major competition.

Another reason might be the failure of the club management to buy new players that would have fortified the team. The poor performance of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and the injury problems of Victor Osimhen are having a bad impact on the club because the club is still relying on these two players. Napoli should Invest money in some players this January and at least Walter Mazzarri will have more options in case of injuries or suspensions.

617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fees are high - a problem? Not for everyone! on: January 02, 2024, 07:08:02 PM
Miners certainly benefit from what I personally call "ordinal madness", and suffice it to say that in recent days the rewards per block amounted to over 10 BTC, and considering that the reward without fees is 6.25 BTC, it is clear how much their profit has increased. Without going into any conspiracy theories, isn't it logical to think that some of them (miners) have their fingers in all of this? Who knows, maybe we'll find out one day.
Miners are the highest beneficiary of these ordinal inscriptions and many of them will always support the project because the profit is huge. It will take selflessness and love for Bitcoin for these miners to block these inscriptions.

Quote
Creators of altcoins who will use every opportunity to say that their project is better than Bitcoin and that their transactions cost only $0.01 and that you should invest in their project. What they will not tell you is that the security of their transactions is so great that you have to wait for several days to be sure that your transaction will not be messed up in some way.
I don't blame these altcoin creators because they are just taking advantage of the problem created by people who prioritize profit-making over the survival of Bitcoin. I wouldn't lie, some of these altcoins have saved the day for most crypto users because of the low transaction fees. Like I said before, I don't plan anybody after all, it is about the money.

I am among those who are still optimistic about this transaction fee of a thing, I believe the said bug which the ordinal developers are exploiting will soon be addressed by bugs. But for now, I am treating it as an asset now and only make transaction with it only if fiat currency will be an hassle for me
I also believe that nothing lasts forever, very soon these ordinal inscriptions will be handled. But for now, there is no solution in sight because this threat is becoming more popular and many people are making more money from it.  Nobody knows how long this will last because many people have been forced to hold more than their Investment plans. This is not good news for Bitcoin because one of its selling points was low transaction fees.
618  Other / Off-topic / Re: Simple advice, don't get carried away by people success stories. on: January 01, 2024, 06:47:57 PM
my advice to everyone out there is that we should all be cautious of what we do from the things we hear because sometimes what profits the next man can actually turn out to be a disappointment to you.
Any Investment that promises huge returns should be treated with caution. We have to verify if they are scam projects because many of such projects are ponzi and get-rich-quick projects. I am also careful when I see a project that is over-hyped by celebrities and sophisticated and expensive advertising. I will keep saying that the safest crypto is Bitcoin, apart from this coin, it will be difficult to distinguish them from scam projects. Do your research to verify the genuineness of a project before investing. This is because most of the stories that you see on social and other media outlets are designed to attract people into scam projects
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 01, 2024, 06:22:49 PM
Honestly, I can't understand PSG, they are a team that in attack depends a lot on the mbape and yet they are not on the market looking for good attackers, they spend money on signing players a lot of games for positions that at the moment they need to have good performance and also have good players in attack. It seems to me that PSG's objective is not focused on winning the European Champions League, on the contrary, their focus when they make these strange signings seems to me that they are only looking at Ligue 1 in the long term, but that's really funny because PSG has already dominated Ligue 1 in recent years
The January transfer is just opening and the club had to buy the Brazilian central defender Lucas Beraldo. I hope that the club will still get more players before the closure of the transfer window. I also think that Lucas Beraldo is a good player and he is also young and cheap. Such kind of players could bring financial fortune to the club if he improves. I read that PSG wants to focus more on buying and building younger players because it seems that buying expensive players didn't give them the needed results.

Quote
so it doesn't make much sense to just look at league 1 and do very poorly in European competitions, in any case for a team that hasn't yet won the European champions league despite having invested a lot of money in the team over the years, it's just frustration to psg fans who dream of one day being able to win the european champions league and every time the market opens psg comes with some meaningless signing, it seems like they are competing with chelsea and manchester united for the title of the most ridiculous in hiring. Anyway, we'll see if Mbappe leaves the team or will they be able to convince him to stay for more years, with this squad without great ambitions, it will be difficult for us to see PSG win something big that isn't internal competitions in France.
The Brazilian defender might not be popular but he is not a meaningless signing. He could boast the defence of the club. PSG has experimented with world-class players but they never won the Champions League, maybe the club is changing its recruitment strategy. Nobody knows Mbappé's next move because there is no concrete information about his future.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and health concern on: January 01, 2024, 05:56:20 PM
My question is :
Do you know the status of your health while gambling and what do you do if you happen to suffer a mild or hard stroke?

My health status is okay for gambling because I don't have any signs of hypertension or heart issues. I might consider stopping gambling immediately if I have any sign of sickness triggered by the activity. I will not wait until any major sickness before I stop gambling. Having a stroke or other sickness is going to the extreme, I will never continue gambling if such a thing ever occurs. But most people who suffer from health issues are people who gamble above their limit. So they are always tensed up when they are waiting for the result of the bet.

Quote
This is why I make it a point to open my messenger and have my loved one that I can contact in case, whenever I'm playing alone.
Devising strategies to get help is not a bad idea but we should do everything possible to avoid activities that will trigger such emergencies. One of the ways is not to take gambling too serous and always bet what you can afford to lose. When you lose, don't feel depressed and when you win big don't over celebrate.
