New Website Launched

Dear Navajo Coin Community!

I am pleased to announce that I have spent some time rebuilding the Navajo Coin website to fit with our new branding. I have built the new site using AngularJS so its shiny and fast!

It's fully mobile responsive and can easily be shared on social media.

Some of the most notable changes are the way the projects page is laid out. We now give you a percentage estimation of how far through a current task we are and which ones we're working on.

Hopefully this gives you all a bit more transparency around where we are at.

I think it also highlights the sheer number of completed projects we have built for Navajo Coin which i think puts our efforts into perspective.

I also apologise, I haven't quite got the contact form sending properly, but it is a small issue and i will fix it in the next few days.

http://www.navajocoin.org

Rest assured, I am still working on this project at every possible opportunity.

Next on my agenda is to gain some performance increases from the anon servers, finish the web and mobile wallets and also continuing my work with nodeJS and the distributed anon nodes.

Best Regards
- Pakage

New site looks great pakage, but quick fix.  The URL for the official forum is http://navcointalk.org (not what is currently on the page).

If you could fix the link to that I have a sneaking feeling we might actually double our existing userbase from 2 to 4 hella quick like! :p

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping to have more photos and the video from Taipei ready for you before I made this post. However, I thought I should make this post now so you don't have to wait any longer to read how it was. I can always post the video and other photo's as they become available.

By all measures the talk was a success. We had over 200 people attend the event which was more than was expected actually. We had to set up extra chairs so everyone could be seated. I talked for about an hour with Dr Tan translating for me throughout the lecture. The talk was well received by the audience as well as the event organisers. The audience were enthusiastic to learn and excited about the Navajo Anonymous technology.

I have been invited back to talk again at some of their other events they host in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong and mainland China to further promote Navajo Coin and cryptocurrency awareness in general.

Here's a few more photos from the talk:

Where the event was held

The building itself

Some of the audience members

Preparing for my talk

Dinner with my hosts after the event

If you're interested in the talk itself, here is a PDF copy of the slide show I presented:

The next event on the horizon of our PR campaign is a lecture in Auckland, New Zealand on the 27th of August. Auckland is the city I live in and is a great place to get some exposure for Navajo Coin. This particular talk is at a NodeJS developers meetup and will be a bit more focused on the tech I'm using to re-write the anonymous servers so they can be peer distributed.

For further information check out the Meetup Event.

Talk soon,
Pakage

Wow, Taipei is awesome. Its a big change from the little city I am from. My lecture is tomorrow, so wish me luck!

Awesome! Hopefully you can post some photos! for all to see  Smiley

First reports are that it was a success! Over 200 attendees, so many they had to wheel out extra chairs! There was literally a queue of people after the talk waiting to take photos with me, so I guess that means the liked what they heard!

I was the main speaker at the event, delivering an hour long lecture on Bitcoin, blockchains, Navajo, the Anonymous Transaction system and the future of blockchain technology.

Here's a couple photos:

Full report, more photos, the lecture slides and announcement of the next public talk about Navajo Coin will be released in the next few days.

Cheers,
Craig.

Hi everyone, quick update from me.

I am at the airport getting ready to depart to Taipei. I will be landing there Thursday afternoon and giving my lecture on Friday.

I will try to keep you all updated over the weekend, but at the latest will give a full report early next week.

Wish me luck, this is a great opportunity to promote NAV in the Asian market place.

Talk soon.

Is the rich list up to date? I notice my old address is on there but my new address isn't. My new address is like 2 months old….. my old address shows far too many coins…..

I think it's outdated, my address is also wrong. I'll bring it up with Shahim and we will investigate

Cryptocurrency event in Taipei

Dear Navajo Coin Community!

I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to be the guest speaker (on behalf of the Navajo Coin team) at a cryptocurrency event in Taipei this week. I will be showcasing Navajo Coin and its Anonymous technology to a full lecture hall of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and entrepreneurs this Friday 24 July.

This is the beginning of a press campaign which I have been devising with our PR consultant over the last couple of months. Expect to see a a lot more public events and news articles about Navajo Coin in the near future.

In addition, I have also launched a cryptocurrency news website called Cryptocrunch that will become both a reputable information source and the platform for Navajo Coin's future press releases. Currently there's only two articles on the site, but that will grow over the coming weeks.

If you're interested in reading more about the upcoming conference, head on over to Cryptocrunch and check out the article:

https://cryptocrunch.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/navajo-coin-developer-to-speak-in-taipei

The full presentation will be available online after the event.

Rest assured, we have been working behind the scenes to get Navajo Coin noticed in the wider community in both on and offline publications.

In other news from me; I have been spending my spare time dutifully researching and porting the Anonymous Networks code base to NodeJS so we can launch it as a distributable package. There's still some work to be put in before it is ready for release, but I will give a more thorough update on its progress and an overview of my general approach in the coming days.

Also on my agenda is giving navajocoin.org a design overhaul and applying the new branding to it.

I hope you've all been well, long time no post.

Best Regards
- Pakage

Hello everybody. How is everyone doing today?

Enjoying sending value transactions anonymously with our service? Help spread the word on social media and in real life!

I have done a small write up on my website about the anonymous server technology, feel free to share it:

http://www.geekspeak.co.nz/examples/navajocoin-anonymous-transactions/

I have also done a write up about the in wallet chat feature which we're currently working to get back online:

http://www.geekspeak.co.nz/examples/navajo-encrypted-chat/

If you're interested in how any of this works behind the scenes, I've also done a couple write ups on PHP & Bitcoin commands:

Enjoy!

I think it's wrong to use the term 'node' , it should be 'gateway'.. because It uses subchain and not nodes.. am I correct ?
Hi,

Correcting the terms. It is the choctaw star gate and navajo magic gateway Wink. And yes the magic gateway is the entry and the csg is the exit into and out of the subchain networK.

Regards
Shahim

Yes I understand that from the whitepaper but I keep seeing people throwing the word 'nodes' around which I think is not correct and misleading. thanks

Pakage said about "decentralised nodes" so it's correct?

When you work at a thing for some months some words just sneak into your speech and everybody knows what You mean to say.
Of course a simple node is also part of all networks. Smiley

Yes, you are correct. Sorry I am just being lazy with my words. I will be more precise in the future  Cool

Guys, I've just put the nodes offline for maintenance now. As stated, we will resume service in 4 hours or less if everything goes as expected.

We will keep you updated  Cool

Nice news!what improvements are we talking about;)?

The improvements I've made so far are:

  • I've restructured the sending algorithm to be more efficient. Some of these algorithm improvements are also part of moving the scripts towards being distributable.
  • I've added some extra error catching, around what happens if we are unable to decipher the encrypted destination. The node will now return the coins to the sender if it is unable to decrypt and verify the destination address at the entry node.
  • Rather than rounding the final transaction amounts to factors of 10, it now will send the amounts to the final destination in a randomly selected amount of transactions, each with randomly allocated amounts to help obscure the transactions further.

Once these updates are in place, I will move on to porting the anon scripts to node.js and we can be one step closer to releasing our decentralised nodes!

NAV is very risky investment now, without big future plans this coin wont rise.

Also, why was PR and marketing not established before the release of ANON?? As the saying goes, dont get the cart in front of the horse.

Hi Cryptojunkey, I'm not sure what you mean by "without big future plans"?

We have announced that our next projects include a mobile wallet, web wallet and a fully verifiable distributable anon node which anyone can run who has access to a web server.

If those aren't big plans (to follow on from our anon transactions using subchains) then I don't know what are...

Also, please keep in mind that we are a team of primarily dev's and we are also a community based coin. This means, we have basically zero PR budget other than what a (very) few kind people have donated to us. Now that we have the tech built and working, more people are showing keen interested to back us as a team and back our technology. This is why the programming came first and the marketing will come second.

I am but a simple programmer mate. I hope you can appreciate our hard work to get us this far and that which will take us further.

All the best,
pakage.
WOW zero PR budget=EPIC FAIL
Don't waste your BTC these guy will abandon this thread and coin soon, these idiots didn't make any money or are lying to the public about it you choose
Bump cause firework pics don't cut it
I think you completely missed the point mate.

I just want to stand up and re-assure everyone that despite the FUD and the dumpers, the people that matter are still here. Our core investors are still onboard, our dev team is still working on the coin.

At this very moment I am refining the Anon transaction system. Shahim is working on a web & mobile wallet. Soopy is fixing that merkle root issue.

After that, I am going to build the anon node re-distributable for people to run and we have a bunch of other good ideas up our sleeve.

We have a bright future.

This is just the beginning.

Talk soon,
Pakage

I can't beleive there is no clear future roadmap. This should have been release with the anon.
Secondly nobody knows or cares who the navawho code talkers are. Call it something cool.
The future roadmap is stated clearly on the website.

Yes, you can find our roadmap on the website: http://navajocoin.org/projects

We have a few exciting items on there so far which we will be working on over the coming weeks including a mobile wallet!

Currently I'm looking at ways to further improve the node system given the weeks worth of live data we now have!

You have never been correct predicting the floor price but the weekend is always a great time to buy. What formula do you use if you don't mind me asking?

Its called having experience trading, Ive been in crypto several years now.

But when I match your previous floor price predictions to the graphs in your previous comments you are way off. Not even close

And what prediction was that? I never called any floors till now, get the facts straight. I called the top at 4500sat the first time.

Since the release you keep posting a price fall. Why?
THEY ALL WANT CHEAP COINS  Cheesy Angry
Got your PM regarding the adding additional recipient.  Sorry for the confusion.  My question is ultimately how do I send to more than a single unique address from within the same transaction?

Example:
-----------
100 NAV <address 1>
125 NAV <address 2>
150 NAV <address 3>

and so on.

You can't sorry. I had to disable the multi send feature, it was incompatible with some of the code I was writing for the Anonymous Sending feature.

I will try and re-integrate it again when I next get some time.

For now, you will just have to send your transactions individually.

Please, just relax everyone, don't let these guys get into your head Cool

Navajo isn't a get rich quick scheme.

We haven't even really started the PR train yet and anon has only been live for a few days. Good things take time.

We are a dedicated team of devs who will continue to add value to this coin by refining the anon system and bringing new features beyond anon.

We are only at the beginning of our journey.

Talk soon,
Pakage

We are in the process of recruiting some really awesome PR people and we have a great strategy which will unfold over the coming days/weeks. Hold tight people. Buy support is strong. The bulls have this.
