601  Economy / Economics / Re: Portfolio on: May 09, 2018, 04:45:45 PM
How many cryptos should Ihave in my portfolio? Are there one recommended diversification ( like having 3 or 4 coins) ?
The number of cryptocurrencies you want to have in your portfolio totally depends on you, the choices of the coin you want, as well as your budget. The thing about all these is that you cannot always have it all, so it is best to have what you can handle and monitor all at once, otherwise with the complexity of the market you will be trying hard trying to move out from those coins when things are not really going well except if you are holding for the long term.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much have you won/lost on bitcoin gambling ? on: May 08, 2018, 06:43:38 PM
Well i cannot tell the exact amount i have lost and gain in gambling because at the end i will see that the lost will be much more higher as compared to the gain in my gambling career and that will have negative effect on my spirits to play more game in gambling.

It is always bad for not calculating your investments and gains because it might hurt you more. If you are making more money through the gambling then there is not bothering about the money but if you are in loss, how can you cover your losses in what way. If you are loosing continuously so better stay away from the gambling.
What is there to calculate in gambling? The thing with gambling is that it is not an investment that you will need to be calculating how much you have made or lose as you will definitely lose track of that anyway and at the end, you are still losing most of the time. The only way I have been able to know this is by checking my statistics in the site that I make use of and really, it is a bad thing to see how much I have lost over the years which I wish I kept.
603  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin increase again? on: May 06, 2018, 06:53:25 AM
after we reach $9960 yesterday, the price is moving again and now it's down to $9800. maybe the price will break $10,000 in the next weeks and there is a sign that shows the price wants to increase more. but this will be turn out if there is any bad news that makes people become panic because they already saw the down of the price in the earlier of this year. and maybe we only can wait for the price to increase again and meanwhile, we can buy more bitcoin if the price is down.
With those people who will never stop being greedy, made that downfall by booking their profits. Greedy to enter FOMO, greedy to always look for the best price to sell even when the market is extremely going up then you ask yourself when they are really looking forward to sell or when they will stop thinking to take action. Probably they must wait for the price of bitcoin to reach new ATH as per my view.

Market is not easy to time most especially when you are not a trader and even traders try to use a lot of things to depict the market movement which sometime they do not always end up right, let along an investor who is looking for the long term benefit. By the way, the whole market cap is increasing and that should send a message to anyone to be more patient in coming days.
604  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Low activity long term BTC investing? on: May 04, 2018, 03:00:51 PM
Investing in bitcoin is a form of great long-term investment for the profit it brings to investors is great. The cryptocurrency market is growing again and it is an opportunity for many new investors to know and be able to participate in this market.
The fact that a lot of people are always looking for a way to grow what they have is the reason why they have ended up one way in the hands of scammers when they could have actually held what they have as long term investment which it already is or probably just learn how to go about trading which if they do not do well, they will still end up losing a lot anyway. Obviously the crypto market is growing, so the best way is just to hold for as long as you can.

If you have somehow managed to invest your money into the bitcoins and that you have bought some bitcoins, then the very next thing which you need to do to make some god earning is that you need to go for holding all the bitcoins which you have bought for as long as you could.
I believe that OP has meant this alone. Other than holding, there cannot be any other way where we can get good returns along with low activity. If anything like that available then most probably they are pozni schemes like hyips.
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: May 04, 2018, 02:14:24 PM
It will. NASA then Amazon are now entering blockchain. Those are huge names and they have a lot of money. It would be stupid for someone to not accept that bitcoin will dominate all the currencies.
Even with all these big institutions entering the blockchain industry, I do not see how that would make bitcoin to become the only single currency used worldwide. Firstly, most of the points mentioned by the OP obviously show how monopoly is already present in the system and of course, even without that, I do not expect any country to even get rid of fiat in the first place for bitcoin.

Nevertheless, I know there is still a huge way for bitcoin to go but I wonder how things would pan out before then will be deciding how effectively bitcoin may become a global currency. Unlike gold or USD, bitcoin will become a everybody's global currency. I mean we may directly use bitcoins for international transactions and local transactions as well.
606  Economy / Economics / Re: The global eradication of Shitcoins. on: May 04, 2018, 09:00:57 AM
It sounds interesting, but I do not really imagine how this is realized. collecting money for these shitcoins will occur on the same platform? but what is the point of these projects to collect funds on it, if investors can at any time return them? or are they reimbursed by the platform? then where does the platform get the money? can I get more information? and a link to the site of the platform
I guess someone is thinking exactly what I am thinking. It sounds vague and unrealistic to me.
Normally, someone is collecting the shitcoins in exchange for money and in this case, Jullar is. So what is the main point here if I am doing something that does not eventually pay me because shitcoins are shitcoins, whichever hand it is being transferred to, so at the end, Jullar stands to gain nothing, and I wonder how someone would operate business like that unless there is something here we are not understanding.
607  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you keep yourself from spending on unimportant things? on: May 03, 2018, 05:31:55 PM
Its always hard for me to avoid unnecessary expences, I like to enjoy every day of my life and dont care much about my future.
I use to hide my funds to dont let my eyes notice it, to make my braint forget about it. I may give some of my funds to my relatives because I beleive they are able to keep it better. Cold bitcoin storage is also good solution for it
I really do not see anything hard here as all it takes is just discipline and knowing how to control the way you spend and with that being said, controlling your spending is not something that can just be done with your mind, brain or hands, you need to always learn how to make a list and write what you really need, what you want, which the latter are mostly things that are not really necessary. As long as you can do this and stick with it, with some level of discipline, you will see yourself spending more responsibly and notice that you have been extremely wasteful most of the time on things that are really not that important.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbetting on: May 03, 2018, 02:13:48 PM
Sportsbetting is all based on analysis and preparing reports by collecting all infos of team and their previous games records. But in this process out of 10 bets i got 8 bets success. I check all predictions also and prepare my own bets.
Those analysis and reports are possible only with limited number of games as we cannot analyze or prepare reports on those games where we are not having interest nor not following them. It means you may be a king within your dens. This a good thing only because at least in our favorite games, we may make some money.

I have tried small parlays which are low odds but secure to get win. Some match when you play live inplay you get good odds to bet and win high on some matches.
In my understanding parlays concept works like cumulative way of aggregation. Risking small amount in parlay may lead to big rewards too.
609  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull market on: May 02, 2018, 08:02:49 PM
I think it's not as simple as just an increase in the price, there are other factors in my opinion. lately I have noticed that most news are positive and talking about bitcoin in a positive way, I also noticed that the market cap is increasing and that people are joining more. however I don't think we can say that we bullish just yet. we need more time with this level of growth
I feel people always misconstrue a bull market to a bull run. A bull market does not necessarily mean the market will be moving in a fast pace upward, it could be a slow movement upward where we see the trend going gradually and some little corrections in between which like some people have stated as higher highs and higher lows, and when we are having a rally or a run, this is just exactly as it sounds, a run! A fast pace movement with a high level increase in price daily which is always considered at times as too good to be true.
610  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do whales mainpulate the market? on: May 02, 2018, 07:01:06 PM
Big players are known as a "whales " in the market which the only players can manipulate the price because of their huge contribution and indeed no one can spot when it will happen 'cause only those whales knows about it . For more information read some articles around the internet maybe it can help  .regards
We will always have big players no matter what and these are the people with huge positions who have been able to make so much from that position to be able to know how to move the market in their favor. They are traders as well and they always know when they have been able to shed off enough weak hands out of the market and how to get FOMOs back in. I always see them as emotional readers as they can read the charts to see which pattern would favor them the most and mostly they are the market makers.

There could be multiple secret ways through which whales are still able to manipulate the markets. I mean most probably they all are keeping their methods secret so that rest of traders are unable to take control of the markets. This is just an assumption. The good thing is, when number of traders increase, whales will lose their power of controlling the market Tongue.
611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't care about the price now. Nobody knows how much my portfolio is worth on: May 02, 2018, 04:49:14 PM
... I will hold for a few years ...

My thoughts are similar to yours. My investments in criptos are for long term, at least 5 years.
I didn't sell even on the high we had on December.
I'm not saying it's the best strategy, but as I invested only money that I will not use or need, I'll keep my strategy.
That is the right thing to do to just keep calm and just keep what you have right now, everyone of us will finally change our life if we will just continue to hold it and have it for a long time, so it is a perfect strategy to have at least save and hold coins that has the potential to grow.
Just be on yourself only for what are may real happen or what are the present situation of your portfolio just do your best on making money.
Well, it is either you are a trade benefitting from the fluctuations to increase your position in any market you are holding or you are simply a holder and you really do not care whatever goes on in the market. Just like the OP have stated, worrying about the little fluctuations in the market as an investor will divert your attention away from the bigger picture which I believe every investor should be focused on.

Early last year, we all know what the value of bitcoin and Ethereum was, and is that not just enough for anyone to know what the future may be holding ?
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does positive thinking affect your edge in gambling on: May 02, 2018, 03:07:18 PM
I does not think it will have much effect on winning or losing. But it might be a help on you being cool headed and make the right decision. Gambling is more of a flipping coin game which is either head or tail.
Yeah I think positive thinning will help people but only in investment and trading not in gambling. No way, you can’t even imaging of anything positive while playing such negative games. How can you even think of some positive vibes coming out of your mind to your heart that can flourish a game that is based on negativity? Things can be fine in this regard so don’t just go for this game.
Maybe this is what they actually think; they have misplaced the key (which in this scenario is their brain), and they feel that just by thinking positively that the padlock will open for them to get in without using the keys, the padlock will surely open. Lol. It is really amusing to think that some people actually think that way, and this is the reason why we will never stop seeing a lot of people getting addicted to gambling both in the long and short run.

Positive thinking affects our gambling but in negative way unlike our any other activities. Being positive in life is always good but definitely not with gambling. If being positive pushes our luck to favor then there will be some meaning to be positive while gambling.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: May 02, 2018, 01:38:29 PM
It’s true because we can only think of these characteristics of a good gambler. But here is one thing that I would like to mention which is that every gambler can become a good gambler so I don’t see any criteria of a gambler. You said good gambler has some strategy with him but I would like to clear your concept here that gamblers have no strategies as gambling is luck based thing.
Anyone who can absolutely control themselves when it comes to gambling will always and easily be a good gambler simply by stating that what makes up a bad gambler anyway is the inability to control themselves until they finally become addicted and that is where the whole problem starts.

As long as you have the urge to gamble but can still place your head in the right direction without your impulse of thinking being affected then the rest is just going to be not easy even when you are losing. Moreover, there cannot be any single definition of being a god gambler due to with frustrations, a gambler may opt for anything.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you are a gambling expert? on: May 01, 2018, 07:19:59 PM
While I don't necessarily consider myself a "gambling expert," but I would say I am more familiar with the gambling business than most people.
Anyone who genuinely thinks they are an expert at gambling is more than likely fooling themselves, since most people can't become an expert at something that is primarily luck.

That was hard man, not all who says that they are experts are expert and to few of them were busy playing than being proud of it in public or here i think they have no time to say that they are experts while others who won one time big jackpot pretends or claim themselves as an expert. Being an expert is not only by game because you will not become experts if your attitude dont develops.
He was just being blunt and truthful, that is not being hard. Really, there is no expertise level when it comes to gambling as most gamblers will always have an equal chance against their luck and it is whoever luck decides to choose that ends up winning.

Yeah, some may consider themselves an expert in maybe playing of poker games but I call those as just trying to hype oneself for nothing over something that when you are playing among other strong poker players, you only have luck on your side. Being expert in gambling is no way similar to being professional in trading. Still, many people are getting confused imagining like that.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts that are going to the moon on: May 01, 2018, 06:39:40 PM
So from the beginning of 2018, till about a couple of weeks ago, all coins suffered huge dump and went quite low from what they were at the end of 2017.
But now, the tides are changing and slowly all are going upwards again as the bitcoin has also started moving upwards.

Now, please share the coins you think are gonna go boom till the end of 2018 from now.
What are your picks?
I believe most of the coins with very good projects should end up mooning and there is really no doubt about that which I believe those who bought them at the dip during accumulation period should have even started enjoying those benefits already right now. May to June is usually the period where alts normally have a good run when bitcoin is consolidating sideways.

I expect to see something like this occurring soon looking at the way money has been moving into the alts. I am vouching for ENG, COSS, SC, and NEM.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone make serious profit from hodling 6-12 months ? on: May 01, 2018, 03:55:34 PM
Some people says hodl is the best way to make big profit. I am not a good hodler. I just hodl genesis vision for 3 months and made 3x profit but the other I always sell in a week or 10 days. Anyone make serious profit from hodling 6-12 months ?

by way of example (I am also invested).

Commerceblock $CBT. I have held this token throughout bull and bear markets. Over the past month the coin has grown 112%.

Less than a month ago the price went to 2 cent. I went in with 80% of my portfolio. The price is now 8 cent, the reason for this is the its a low cap, not many people have heard about this project not to mention the teams activity on github and they are on time to deliver against their roadmap.

I would take a look at www.commerceblock.com with some serious consideration!!
The thing with most of these coins or tokens is that as long as you keep holding them over the years, they would have added a lot in percentage better than where they started from. Still, it is always an advantage for traders who make use of the fluctuations to increase what they are holding as this is the only way one can easily benefit hugely in the long run as you keep accumulating for the future.

Unless you just want to steady growth without bothering much about the market then you can keep holding for as long as you want. But, it is very much necessary that you have chosen a well established coin. Simply holding any coin will not bring the desired results.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: April 30, 2018, 07:43:17 PM
It was not really a big amount but it made me feel like I'm the luckiest guy in the planet. I just bought junk foods and a drink because I was still a kid at that time.
Except for those who in one way or the other could have won a jackpot, I really do not see who would have ended up winning a huge amount probably in some other game and not end up blowing it all away eventually. I never really had a good moment with gambling anyway, so there is nothing I could say and not even single feelings to at least come close to it.

I pretty much expect that if I actually started winning in my early days of gambling, I would have blown it all away without caution somehow.

620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin price reaches $20.000 this year? on: April 26, 2018, 04:07:06 AM
One thing to note about experts or professionals when it comes to Bitcoin is that there is no such thing. Professionals are just people in the financial industry making total guesses just like we are. Don't put any more weight behind a "professionals" opinion that you would behind some random guy's opinion from the internet, they are worth the same, which is to say, precisely nothing.

Because people knows very little about matter they are dealing with, they tend to turn to "professionals" for advice or information. Which in this case is wrong. Its just like you said, and I totally agree with your view. Every prediction from those so called professionals is nothing more than a speculation, same as that of normal trader. But we must not overlook those comments, because they can lead some people to wrong conclusion,
and their decisions could have negative/positive impact on bitcoins price. I guess that comments of professionals are inevitable, but people should try not giving them more weight just like you said. Also they should not make decisions based on those predictions alone.
The easiest way to deal with bitcoin most of the time is just to follow the trend and nothing else. You are right with those who call a lot of highs in the future like they can actually see the future.

This is the main reason why bitcoin has become a speculative asset more than a currency and if it is being used with the real value it has, I am very sure the value could have actually been a lot more than this. All the above, it is too early to start calling the top when we are still trying to find the way forward.
