601  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: ibit.io - simple bitcoin ticker on: March 07, 2015, 05:48:16 PM

ibit.io

Simple Bitcoin Ticker

Customizable Colors, Font Size, Currency, and Bitcoin Units

Mobile Friendly

I think there's a small css error in the search tool behind that the tool is very fast and easy to use .
default color is so nice love it ! Just a question what you are using and what programming language
please ?

Thanks! Client side is all javascript/jquery.  Using ajax to retrieve json data from my server.  I'm running a simple Python script on the server that retrieves prices.

I have a php file encoding json values but some trouble using ajax. Do you know of any way to use php+ajax to make private APIs to grab the bitcoin price from various exchanges?
That would make the plugin process easier.
If you are interested in collaborating with me for a bitcoin price project please let me know. I own BitcoinPriceLab.com

I already have anotehr thing Im working on so Im looking to sell this off, anyone interested? please shoot me an offer via PM or mail:admin@bitcoinpricelab.com
It's a nice script for sure. But it would good if it can convert $ inputs to BTC directly instead of clicking on convert button?, Just like preev has. Hope you get it what i'm trying to say. Smiley
I understand, you want to convert USD to btc and I will have that done, it's just around 5-6 lines of code.
the script might be nice to you but in my views it needs a lot of work.

Yes it is. Nothing is Simple.
He is telling you to give the script the features like preev.com
Hope you understand Smiley
Yes, I do.
605  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage on: March 07, 2015, 07:17:06 AM
I think arbitrage is too risky and will end up in losing money because of fees. Today, with high-speed trading, arbitrage opportunities last only for a few milliseconds seconds in widely traded markets. Arbitrage opportunities in the commodity futures market last for very short periods.
Yeah I recently read about arbitrage in the stock markets, and it lasts literally for seconds, but for Bitcoin, the time frame is better. So it might be risky but is definitely profitable

I've been doing this, it works, and it is profitable. The real problem is when an exchange doesn't fulfill your withdrawal request at once but withholds your coins (or doesn't deposit the money after the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain). Also, btc transactions are frustratingly slow, and you can end up waiting for half an hour for your transaction to get confirmed first.
This can be tackled with money being deposited in both the exchanges.

A little bit of friendly advice, I doubt you will get anybody to buy ads for that price. generally people underestimate faucets and they paid much less for advertisements

615  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SALE] MAKE YOUR OWN WEBSITE - SCRIPT SELECTION on: March 06, 2015, 02:04:37 PM
How do we know that you haven't prepared back doors in the scripts?

How do you know if there is back door in any script out there. You'll only know when you have the files.
Most of the people who sell them are quite trusted. Unlike you

Trusted ? LOL most "trusted" members here became scammers and took your money ..
and you're right I'm not trusted here and quite frankly I don't give two shits.
Trusted or not, they are the ones who put in the hard work to code these scripts and you do not have any right to sell them
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have 1 BTC to INvest on: March 06, 2015, 01:38:21 PM
You can invest in bitcoin gambling sites like just-dice but nothing really is sure, but yeah you can win some money investing in gambling sites
I'd reccomend not doing this , alot of big websites are for some reason getting hacked. just look at all the exchanges, and its not really a great investment either.
My reccomendation is buying and selling stuff , then you have to actually do smth but there's usually a very low risk.
+1, seals with clubs was going through something bad and they shut down, and i highly recommend just learn some skill and then offer it here on this forum or you can start a service with that money(not cloudmining)

I suggest you show the potential of profit, the costs of the servers and the number of customers and some screenshots to prove them.
Shoot me an email and I'll show them to you without problem!
I am not interested in buying. i was merely trying to help you as if you show proof, it will be better.
620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 50K Silk road coins to be auctioned 5 March. on: March 06, 2015, 01:02:36 PM
I just read that the bidders will be paying 30% more than the usual market price. Seems a pretty steepp cost they will have to pay for those coins.
Thats almost 100$ more than the current market price.
If that is correct then there is no reason to worry about price, as the new owner would not sell at current price.
It might be a problem for future, when price goes up, as it have to, because of mining difficulty.
Do you think, that if the bidders are paying 30% more, the price will increase in the next couple of days?

Here is a link which also shows more interest this year ; http://www.coindesk.com/third-usms-bitcoin-auction-bidder-interest/
As for price increasing , its hard to say. One reason price is higher to buy large quantity is to not skyrocket the price while buying that much quantity from the exchanges.
Thanks for the link. Read it thoroughly, and I get what you say, you cant really predict
