This is CROWN's strength, which needs to be repeated:
Crown includes capabilities of both the DASH and Bitcoin protocols, but there are important differences between Crown and both DASH and Bitcoin. The most important differences from Bitcoin are that:
(1) Crown confirms transactions more quickly, and
(2) has an additional layer of security provided by Throne network masternodes.
The most important difference from DASH is that Crown can be merge-mined with Bitcoin so that it has the capability to leverage the security provided by the bitcoin network’s hashpower.
This may be true but there are dozens of other coins that have masternodes and better fundamentals than Bitcoin. This is a complete distraction from what makes this project have potential imho. I just want new community members to see where are we now - I dont think there is another BTC merged mined coin with masternodes features (correct me if I am wrong). |

We have started with our twitter, new web is following in course of next two days, QT wallet, android Throne monitoring app, new OP look, etc.
Truly a milestone for this project!

The core team has acquired two key domains for further development of the Crown project:
1. crown.tech - our new website domain to be set up in course of next week
2. crown.cash - key domain to be used in the future as project develops in several directions
All these domains together with all the current crowncoin domains - crowncoin.com, .org, .net etc will be transferred from my possesion to a non profit organization to be set up in London very soon by the core team

After detailed analysis our drones have a small, but potentially useful announcement.
The Hive would like to bring the Crown community's attention to the fact that in the top approx. 100 addresses there are a total of 45 addresses that haven't been touched in over a year & in some cases over two years. All of which amount to the grand total of 2,464,691 CRW.
Thrones=2,760,000
Untouched wallets=2,464,691
Sum of total Crown off markets= 5,224,691
Effective coin supply then, can be imagined to be about half of the total when including all of the coins locked in collateral.

Great to bring to attention! I believe that CRW will make new heights. I'll leave it to somebody else to give a view on this but I do know that a small number (one or two) of those addresses have been lost forever. This coin has been as low as 50 sats in the last year and members of the original team kept it going. I suspect that most of those addresses are original investors who didn't cash out when Crowncoin wasn't worth anything. Lucky people. There are 1.5m coins that appear to be owned or at least controlled by one person. This needs to be explained. I remember this all very well, someone bought in this time last year with huge volume and bought from sub 100 sat to over 1200 sats. Brave saying not much was happening here The former Crowncoin team - 5 people + myself hold cca 1.8 to 2m coins (myself at 1.4m now - from which 300k I am holding for someone else) . I have been here from the very beginning and have been investing 10k eur in the coin in the last 2 years - development of the coin (mergedmining, naming, timestamping, web, etc) and buying on a market when coin had no value, believe me this was sometimes extremely frustrating - I was the one who at least 7 times avoided delisting from c cex. I strongly believed in Crown and I knew in my heart it will succeed one day. After old team members left because of lack of faith, new guys here - defuctec, stonehedge and chaositec came from the sky. And now our team has 12 members from Australia through Europe to US - we can say we are a worldwide team. As one of the core team members and a co-founder of this coin, I only want Crown to succeed - I am and will be constantly contributing to further development from my holding. I said this before, my approach is: "first in last out" I hope this will answer some questions above and show the community we are as open as possible. |

Building Foundations.
Progress continues on the Bitcoin Core update and our improvements to the Throne/Masternodes system. We expect work on the core update and service network improvements to continue throughout November with testing and release anticipated to happen in December 2016.
Service Network Growth.
The number of Thrones operating on the Crowncoin network grew to a record high of 276 in the last week. If you own 10,000 CRW we encourage you to operate a Throne to help us achieve our long term objectives. At current spot price a Throne generates about 20 USD profit per month after your hosting costs are deducted. If you need help setting up a Throne please ask on the BCT thread or contact Chaositec to take advantage of his excellent Throne hosting service.
Rebranding.
Crowncoin is to be renamed Crown to formalise the change in direction since it was launched in 2014. Defunctec and Crowncoin Knight will be leading this work and engaging the community separately. The decision has also been made to abandon our European centric theme while being sure to acknowledge and remember the origins of this project.
New Team Member.
The Crown core team has been joined by Urban Idler who brings with him a successful career in the US equity markets and a clarity of mind that is already helping the Crown team develop our future services. Being able to attract the likes of his talent and expertise is an honour for the Crown team.

The Crown team are excited to announce Crown Revolution, a programme of work that is expected to begin in Q1 2017 and complete in Q4 2018.
Crown Revolution is a series of revolutionary releases that we believe will reshape the future of blockchain
Over the last two years, Chaositec, who is the architect of the concept, has been refining his vision and our preparations have reached the stage where the delivery phase can begin. We're delighted that the Crown network is where Chaositec's vision is going to be realised. Crown Revolution will be delivered in two stages.
Crown Revolution Stage 1
Crown Revolution Stage 1 will be a game changing improvement to the network. Currently, the vast majority of blockchain projects are secured by either Proof of Work or Proof of Stake. The Crown team do not believe that these two methods are the future of Blockchain. We have a third way.
Crown Revolution Stage 2
Crown Revolution Stage 2 will see the implementation of a solution to the blockchain block size problems and transaction volume limits that conventional blockchain technology is susceptible to. Stage 2 will also provide an API that will allow developers to deploy services using Crown Revolution.
Programme Approach
A series of reports and white papers will be written to explain the rationale and method behind the Crown Revolution vision and milestones. The release of these papers will be carefully timed to minimise the risk of losing our first mover advantage.
In addition to these reports and whitepapers we will continue to provide detailed updates as regularly as we have have something to share.
The team will choose a lightweight management methodology to use during the course of the programme of delivery. This will be announced at a later date.
In order to make this a success we need a strong community behind us and we recognise how essential regular open and honest communications are. This is a two year programme of work. There will be breakthroughs and setbacks and we need you with us all of the way.

I think we currently have a liquidity problem. Nobody wants to sell their coins. I'm doing what I can by market selling my throne payments as they come in. Maybe the miners will be selling soon too.
If anything, it's a sure sign that crw is underpriced.
I agree CRW is way underpriced. This idea is worth much more than 200k. As community grows - My short term - 3 months price target - is 1 mil USD. Lets see |

what is thrones ? how they work? is this like interests system? or staking POS?
Thrones are supernodes wich support the Crown network. They have several uses: 1. They allow you to make money when users set them up (40pct of all Crown mining goes to Throne operators, the remaining 60pct goes to typical crypto miners) 2. They make the Crown network more decentralized and therefore secure 3. They will be also used as a backbone platform to build several applications on the Crown network 4. You dont need a supercomputer to mine CRW - with Thrones you do it with cloud VPS with a minimum cost - therefore anybody can set them up - the system is therefore more democratic 5. You need a 10k CRW as collateral to set up one Throne (this way CRW is kept away from the market and capitalization will grow) 6. Great to see CrownCoin Reached to 4000Satoshi from 3000 satoshi.. Undoubtly feeling proud to be a part of it somehow(as their signature campaign manager. I don't feel bad if I get some credit for this.  ) Great Work Dev.. Credit where credit is due. Good work spreading the word! Also props to who had the signature designed, it looks very sleek and polished. I don't know if anyone cares to address my earlier comment regarding how thrones will proceed after the blocks are mined out. Will the services be generating their own revenue or perhaps the thrones getting a % of transactions fees? Thank you Yes, a very thorough discussion is currently going on across the dev team.
