601  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Post your SegWit questions here - open discussion - big week for Bitcoin! on: May 06, 2017, 09:33:21 PM
correct me were am wrong if segwit removes the signatures from the data that is hashed to become the transaction id (witness data)

does it mean we shall no longer be able to sign messages when its activated  Huh
602  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of Bitcoin in 2020 on: May 06, 2017, 05:58:19 PM
scenario E through to G are what we should expect should we continue to experience slow transaction speeds irrespective of the fees paid..

and we should expect a better picture with regard of which ever fork is adopted to make transactions more faster and we are guaranteed an off the chart price tag  i.e  scenario D through to the moon and above Grin
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: May 06, 2017, 01:35:13 PM
Manchester city who were the dominate team just won their game against crystal palace with their biggest win of the season(5-0) which leaves Palace hanging on above the relegation zone and also temporary cementing City's position in the top 4 and puts pressure back on Manchester united who i believe have a chance to win against a struggling Arsenal side.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: BTC transfer time more than 1 day ??? on: May 06, 2017, 09:00:35 AM
you actually paid a decent amount for the fees (120 sat/B)

try use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ to accelerate your transaction at the start of any hour to get a slot from the ~100 available per hour, good luck
605  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: May 06, 2017, 05:53:31 AM

Today many countries accept bitcoin as a virtual currency, is it because bitcoin is so high that they think bitcoin can change the country's economy, or because the country has many bitcoin users already?
Bitcoin can improve the economy of the country if their citizens will become a bitcoin enthusiast. Because the more users it has is the more benefits that it can get, meaning if there's a higher demand it will be favor into the economy of the country of course. and for sure more merchants will decide to adopt the system of bitcoin.
correctly said, if most citizens of a country start to use bitcoin it can open up the economy to new business opportunities for them and make them independent and also help reduce a country's corrupt practices as all bitcoin transactions can be publicly seen
606  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the long term outlook for bitcoin price, for 2020 and beyond? on: May 05, 2017, 07:56:25 PM
Will it increase exponentially, linearly, stay constant or crash?
Like any other business bitcoin will also go through a business life cycle, there will be a time when it will lose its demand or popularity among the community but it don’t seems to happen in the near future not till the 2020 and even after. Who knows how much time it will take for the bitcoin to go through this cycle ? I see a very bright future of the bitcoin for 2020. It will be traded with a very high price I guess.
business life cycles will always be there but lets face the facts...as bitcoin prices keep sky rocketing its also losing grip of its users who

will demand for other cheaper cryptocurrencies like quantum for their invest options and if a solution of scalability isn't addressed btc will be hit hard  and lose its value. Bitcoins better days are yet to come probably 2020
607  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin is Trusted Currency or not ? on: May 05, 2017, 02:50:08 PM
if you are looking for a wallet you will want to use for your daily needs, i would suggest Blockchain.info which is simple to use... though their other web wallets out there that pay your transaction fees but the only draw back is you can not sign a message.

Then if you intend to keep funds in the wallet for a long period of time  a desktop wallet would be the best option just remember to store your pvt key safe and guarded
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: May 05, 2017, 12:31:07 PM
I sent more BTC than I wanted to the address for the pre-sale, I forgot to add another "0" I added another "0"
seems like you accidentally added an extra zero its definitely an honest mistake
Quote
Can I get part of my deposit back?

It was an honest mistake
if they do agree to send back part of your investment am sure they will require you to sign a message from the address you sent funds from....
Be preprepared for that,good luck

Maybe we already have the finals of Champion's league and Europa League.
Almost certainly will be Juventus vs Real Madrid and Ajax vs Manchester United

Juventus were lucky to get away with a clean sweep against an inform Monaco team but they are likely to thrown all the have in the second leg.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coming to the Europa League am actually surprised to see Manchester United get this far despite not winning their games convincingly in this competition  and certainly do not look desperate for a trophy, i guess it will kick in and hopefully put up a better performance
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: May 02, 2017, 11:59:11 PM
I'm serious disappointed about Atletico. They played terrible tonight, they didn't had almost any moments to score. Real Madrid was able to score even more goals.
I don't want to see Real winning UCL second season in a row, I hope Juventus (or Monaco, but much less possible scenario) will beat them in a final.
am equally disappointed ,expected Atletico Madrid to put up a better fight as we know them for but it seems champions league competitions
always go south for them especially when the play against Real Madrid Sad Fortunately enough my favorite player got himself a hatrick to silence his critics and put them closer to defending their UEFA title.
611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is this possible that a transaction my never get confirmed ? on: May 02, 2017, 05:25:29 AM
I am using blockchain wallet and whenever i want to do the transaction giving lower fee that recommended it says that your transaction may never get confirmed in the blockchain.I wanted to know is this really possible that a transaction remains unconfirmed forever.
Technicially speaking no ! Depending on the different reasons such as a double spend or low transaction fees a transaction can not be on the ledger forever which shows the transaction did happen and it went through ,if its unconfirmed for a certain period it will have to be dropped and funds returned to address
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ETH overtake BTC in market cap? on: May 01, 2017, 10:05:06 PM
one thing is for sure is eth is among the best performing altcoins but in terms of market cap i don't seeing this happening as bitcoin prices keep surging but an eth etf approval could be the difference if ever it was considered
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 01, 2017, 08:25:19 PM
It's something which seems crucial to me for reaching mass adoption (in addition to scalabilty of course...).
Already on this forum there is a shitload of people losing their Bitcoins by forgetting passphrases, the private keys, the dat file etc...
Even if you forget your passphrase and loose your dat file if you are capable of saving your private keys then it is more than enough to use your coins and if you are not capable of doing that then you are not good enough to use any service .It is quite difficult to memorize the passphrases and the only solution is the save everything in a safe place.
this solution would only work for some addresses like a vanity address and the alike but wallets like  blockchain would require the passphrases which very few of us
even bother to remember/memorize, its just to random. the best, less expensive and risky solution would be to have a paper wallet
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good coins I am missing out on: May 01, 2017, 05:13:20 PM

615  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet.com - bitcoin sportsbook and casino | BEST NFL and EPL odds anywhere! on: May 01, 2017, 10:58:59 AM
Avoid this site, slow payment, wrong grades, bad promotion, bad odds, I can't find the reason to bet here. I never played here after I lost 50 btc in this site, miserable days.    Cry Cry Cry
Losing 50 bitcoin is a huge amount of money and since you gambled that off what is the site has to do with the loss, the site has no promotion but the odds are pretty decent as i have not find much of a difference between other sites but the payment is slow as they process the funds only once per day,if i could find a good site with a good live betting option i will be happy to choose that, till then i am happy with it.
if only Cloudbet could take advantage of the gap left by casinos of not having many good sportbooks and fix these known problems am pretty sure they could

reestablish themselves to be among the best! They also need to scrap off the point system which saves no purpose after bonus has been redeemed...frankly speaking these adjustments/changes are long overdue
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hold or Sell on: May 01, 2017, 09:52:13 AM
In trading how do you know if it is time to still hold or is it the right time to sell? Do you go buy your profit margin  or actually wait for the highest possible peak?
For example if you're earning like 10% of your investment, would you just sell or would you be interested in waiting and seeing if it goes more up so you could earn more, in doing that its possible that it may go down and you then earn like 5-8%
But what is your process in this? How do you go about hold and sell timings?

I think it is much better to go in hold the coins. Because base on the experience by the others here, they got their big profit
benefits at a long time holding their coins like I have a friend here who hold His xem for a couple of months I'm not exactly sure if He hold his xem less than a years or more than a years, and now He told me lately, that He bought a new car mitsubishi with new mountain bike, which He got it from holding xem,. Just he advised me to be patience,

Currently, bitcoin continue to rise and its already above $1,300 dollar. I think in my opinion, its better to hold and wait the situation since its not quite stable as of now. There are still more growth for btc this year.
I think you can do both "Hold or sell" because bitcoin prices are always constantly changing +/- and if you can get you timing right you can yield some good profit and we should also put into consideration the risk of price plunging down, so best strategy would be to stay up todate with crypto news and lookout for good/bad press or fud which could spark panic selling or demand for more bitcoins
617  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Cloud mining/Investing or trading on localbitcoins? on: May 01, 2017, 07:49:27 AM
IMO investing in Cloud mining is not something i would consider because of how long it takes to make a decent profit and trading on localbitcoins would be much easier and its a well known peer-to-peer Bitcoin exchange so you are guaranteed to have daily trades if you know what you doing and get some good profit in the process
618  Economy / Economics / Re: how much do you earn with 25$ investment on: April 30, 2017, 11:59:53 PM
I invested about BTC0.02 in alt coin last month when they have ico running. Now the coin already in some exchange and if i sell it now i can get about BTC0.08. You can get a lot of money if you are lucky to find the right one to invest.
although it is a very little amount to invest and expect a good profit. but still if you chose a good potential low price alt coin so from there you still have chance to make good amount of money by investing such a low amount of money.
it is not much but it does make a difference if you have the patience

investing the $25 into some altcoins is probably the best choice and less risker  and have some hope one day that altcoin sky rockets to the moon like bitcoin did.

620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 30, 2017, 07:05:18 PM
We have witnessed some shocking results today particularly from both Manchester clubs who we thought might have it easy
and Arsenal what a disappointing result such that hey could not even pull back a consolation goal which might just get Wenger the marching orders and of course the 2 most impressive teams of the league Chelsea and Spurs won their respective games comfortably....and at this stage there is no catching Chelsea who are 4 games away from been crowned champions and thats how we sum up todays games Cheesy
