601  Economy / Speculation / Re: What could make bitcoins price go up again? on: March 21, 2017, 02:20:21 PM
Whether bitcoin price increases or not, I will just wait and look hoping that it will increase because there is virtually nothing I can do as I don't have the volume to make that happen so whether I pump or dump, the price wont be affected in my opinion and that applies to majority of us here, Rather than looking for answers for everything, let just wait and the answer will come the right time by the time the big players finish sorting themselves out.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: March 21, 2017, 01:10:07 PM
The reasons that I will ascribe to why the price of bitcoin is more volatile than fiat are as follows:

1. Fiat is already being used by the whole country there is no need for it to start penetrating unlike bitcoin that if you tell some other people, the only thing they can attach it to is that its a Ponzi scheme and people are equally coming in on a daily basis to really know about what its all about.

2. Another reason is that in the case of Fiat its being regulated by the Central Banks to ensure that the forces of demand and supply is kept at par unlike bitcoin that is just a free market to a large extent.
603  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price is recovering! on: March 21, 2017, 12:34:00 PM
I believe the fact that bitcoin price is recovering is a good news for everyone involved in the crypto-world because it means more money in our pockets but I also hold that every thing that happen presents its own opportunity for every one to make the best out of. I have known people that with the low price, they are now more wealthier because they were smart to act fast when the price was low just because they are sure that recovery is around the corner.
604  Economy / Economics / Re: Wealth inequality among the world , USA you are the best. on: March 20, 2017, 05:10:22 PM
Its unfortunate how bad inequality in USA is this bad. Even though I am an advocate of capitalism as I believe this brings out the best in the country and also creates an environment where individuals can expand to the maximum capacity, I also will not undermine the responsibility of government to keep the gap at check in other not to give room for anarchy and lawlessness in the society. My humble contribution.
605  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any app to notify BTC rate on android? on: March 20, 2017, 02:59:35 PM
blockchain.info app also supplies the latest exchange rate. I mean the updated version of the app and this can also serve as a source of information to what you need to do as you can get the price from bitstamp on your phone rather than having to refresh a page and get the information on a personal computer.
606  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: is these scam ? on: March 20, 2017, 02:28:52 PM
Seeing on the link it shows the video of bitminer.io which is a cloud mining site which we do know these are total scams. They are not worth to put our money on and dont really believe on easy money since its not possible here on bitcoin world.Stay away on this site and dont be fooled to anybody that this site is legit, better to stay away to avoid such lose.

I have come to understand this not even on this forum but when I was in the quest of making money by all means in the shortest possible time but I was humbled after I was duped several times before learning my lessons that there is neither easy money or free money on the internet especially in the crypto-world.
607  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTCJAM.com ? on: March 20, 2017, 12:48:18 PM
I had have reservations about this service simply because of the fundamental issue about bitcoin which makes the lending service almost impossible to run in the long-term. Even in the real world where bank loans people money, they do a lot of verification with lots of collateral aside that, people still default not to talk of online where no one knows where the other lives, I don't expect something on the contrary to what has happened to happen.
608  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Free Bitcoin Scammer Sites on: March 20, 2017, 10:51:40 AM
Hi guys, as we know there are many free bitcoin sites or faucets or btc investment sites. Have you encountered some sites? Did you invest?

One is bitcoin miners. once you reach your desired mined btc or satoshis you can withdraw anytime but first you need to upgrade. I upgraded mine, and to my surprise I earned lower than what I upgraded! but they processed right away my withdrawal but I lost 200k satoshis lol   Shocked

but there's another way..; you must wait 30 days or 25 days for your withdrawal to be processed. I didn't tried it since I think it's kinda too long to wait.

Anybody who has been here long enough will know that not everything you see on the internet is true and infact most of those things are scam. Also, you will also note that there is no free btc anywhere whatsoever that even on this forum, no matter how small the amount, you still have to earn it without any reservation and if you get a site that promises free btc, I tell you they are only interested in getting that little you have and nothing else is coming to you.
609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy back up! (again) on: March 19, 2017, 07:37:21 AM
yup.
it has been great and i am wondering how many of those who were saying bitcoin is too expensive at $1200 are buying right now and how many are still afraid and waiting for it to go back up to $1200 and repeat saying it is expensive Cheesy

it felt good to be able to buy at 3 digits again.

That's why I maintain the position that every time is a good time to buy so far you can afford it, and ready to live with the outcome of whatever the result of such decision brought up. Even at $950 those who wont buy wont still buy because they will be sceptical that what if the price will drop further, then I can buy cheaper unfortunately the price is going higher then they will say let me wait again for it to come down to $900 which might not happen in another 3 months.
610  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining fees will eventually kill bitcoin on: March 19, 2017, 07:01:50 AM
I don't think the fees will kill bitcoin even in the real world specifically banking sector where mirage of fees is being charged even sometimes enormous, people still use the banks and most times the fees are low compared to the importance of is to be achieved. Aside that, the bank will provide alternative means of reducing the fees and that's exactly what will happen to bitcoin later where other means of reducing the fees will be implemented for everyone use.
611  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: March 19, 2017, 06:36:13 AM
That will be a long way to go in achieving that feat and personally I don't think its going to be possible but I also have the believe that the highest we could witness is that government should be silent about its use for transborder transaction but not coming outrightly to give it the support simply because of the effect its going to have on their own currency thereby reducing their influence in world politics.
612  Economy / Economics / Re: Are the Winklevoss twins selling off their Bitcoin stash? on: March 18, 2017, 08:42:09 PM
We have seen the price crash abruptly after the SEC rejected the Winklevoss ETF. But within a day after the announcement the price rebounded strongly to almost where it had been before. Now for the second day in a row Bitcoin is making lower lows but it is still very resilient and rebounds powerfully. So it looks like someone is pouring plenty of bitcoins into the market in a (likely) desperate attempt to ignite a severe panic sell-off (say, down to 700 dollars per coin). Could that be the twins themselves? They should feel pretty frustrated now and thus may decide to revenge blindly

And strike back by dumping their coins while the iron is hot

This assumption is not only faulty but wrong in its enitirety in my opinion, because there is no evidence to show that the twins are dumping their coins as this is not the first time that the price of bitcoin will drop and the twins didn't drop as at the time so I don't think its now ok to trace the fall to them and how do we even know if they have enough to cause a change in the direction of the price of bitcoin.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think They’ll Use the US Dollar on Mars? on: March 18, 2017, 12:45:17 PM
Until we understand the issue about currency before we can know which one is right when it comes to currency, it is whatever group of people accepts that becomes currency then they give it legitimacy and even before dollars people have been using something for transactions so if the people in mars agreed to use US dollars, then so be it and it becomes their currency.
614  Economy / Economics / Re: Are central banks losing control? on: March 18, 2017, 12:17:42 PM
Eight years after the crisis of 2008-09, central banks are still injecting $200 billion a month into the global financial system to keep it from imploding.

Are central banks losing control?
Central banks to me are not really losing and if the they really pumping that amount then it has a purpose which I believe has an overall effect on the economy. Going down memory lane, the central bank has even been the one holding the economy together with their policies and the moment they start failing, the economy starts crushing. And if they are doing that, its to protect everyone who will be affected in case the economy bloats itself.
615  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin - and fall in market share on: March 17, 2017, 09:35:23 AM
I have said this before that Bitcoin can't hold 80% of the market share for life, I know one of two Altcoins would snatch some of this from bitcoin. I expect the price of Bitcoin to continue the upward trend once this blocksize debate is over but the market share to continue to decrease with time.

Even if bitcoin wont hold 80% but its not bitcoin's wish to hold that large percentage if other alts are living up to expectation. Also, the statistics you quoted that made you arrive at a conclusion is just for a particular day which might even change tomorrow. The reason for losing grip of market share by bitcoin could be as a result of the effect of last week decision in which it will recover in a matter of time.
616  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy situation in your country that bad? on: March 16, 2017, 04:13:03 PM
If its bad in advanced countries, then its worse over here because the rate at which inflation is happening is not something to write home about in addition to increase in poverty rate, stagnant minimum wage, increase in insecurity, increase in unemployment rate among other issues that face the country. I tell you its that worse that the situation can rightly be tagged stagflation. Stagnation and Inflation all together.
617  Economy / Economics / Re: On what way would you know that your investing on the right business? on: March 16, 2017, 02:59:36 PM
One sure source of information that I have discovered is the community as this is the whole conglomeration of any information that have to do with online community. The moment the community is going towards a direction about a particular investment, then its worth looking into not to invest out rightly but to do analysis on and decide whether to go forward with it or not.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: china will no longer able to control bitcoin market??? on: March 16, 2017, 02:28:30 PM
Possible or not if bitcoin users increase, china will no longer able to control bitcoin market. i see china market always try to dump the price even other exchange want to the price keep rising.

I will be so glad if its not only China but other countries in the world because if the use of bitcoin is adequately spread, it will mean that not just one person or group of people will be able to control the direction of price and when this happen stability will follow which will then mean that corporations will then come in to accept bitcoin without the fear that the 0.05btc that worths say $50 will not worth $30 tomorrow.
619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So no one cares about ETF decision, right? on: March 16, 2017, 02:00:47 PM
We all care about ETF but since it has gone the way it does, I don't think there is any need to still gloat about what is in the past now. The moment we have all made up our mind and not to be affected negatively by one decision coming or going the more stability it gives to bitcoin and even shame those who are the evil predictions about how bitcoin will come crashing in case there is any negative news. So lets assume we don't care and move on.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Japan make a move after lost trust 3 years ago on: March 16, 2017, 09:24:57 AM
"We lost trust on bitcoin three years ago and the majority of people still don’t believe in it in Japan. This is the time to recover the trust so large corporations will enter the market with various business use cases. This will eventually bring a wider range of attentions and make a bigger bitcoin-blockchain ecosystem." Kagayaki Kawabata, Business Development Lead at Coincheck, another major Japanese exchange.

https://news.bitcoin.com/japan-regulations-bitcoin-exchanges/

This is good news from that end but man needs to know one thing about trust is that, once its lost, it becomes more difficult to recover. And since its coming at this time after the negative news last week, I cant but say its good news all the way. I also think its high time countries start seeing the benefit of bitcoin and start tapping from its wealth to a better use.
