601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Smart contracts on: October 06, 2021, 05:38:21 PM
Have you ever imagined how fast transactions are been executed on the Blockchain network? Or have you wondered how this transactions get executed in the absence of intermediary or third-party representatives. Have you considered how this transactions get confirmed on the network with fast execution satisfying both parties involved in the peer-to-peer transactions clearing the issues of trust and  making the whole system transpent to both parties.

No one wishes for calamity nor is any wishing to die young but we leave in world where death could come at any point. What will happen to your portfolios the numerous coins in your wallet. The XRPs, the doge, the Shiba Inu and the noble Bitcoin in that wallet will it go into the network without accessibility.

Imagine after gathering all the coins you can afford to gather and no one can access your wallet should in case something terrible occurs will the investment still worth all the time and effort devoted to acquire them?
603  Economy / Economics / Re: Will we see new ATH this year? on: October 06, 2021, 09:44:46 AM
This year was full of excitement, full of good things and full of the evil. We saw new ATH, we saw how one man manipulated the whole crypto market and we saw how one country fights it and how everyone wants to kill the bitcoin as an investment option because of its high volatility.

From the recent experience, every time we see bitcoin trying to surpass 50K and/or reach new all-time high, market somehow drops, if that doesn't happen then China tries to stop it's rise, every time it tries to stop bitcoin from surpassing 50K.

The fact is that the governments and/or other major financial sectors just don't want bitcoin to reach ATH again and they do everything for that but the bitcoin is still very, very bullish, like never before! What do you think, will we reach new ATH again despite a such resistance?
From technical analysis if Bitcoin falls below this trend line then we should expect another bear moment waiting for the market to rally back up but if it rebounces up then we should be expecting a new ATHs for now we waiting for the market to make its decision

604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand? on: October 04, 2021, 10:33:11 PM
I have heard from friends that they used to try few casinos whenever they stayed in GOA. Goa is a well tourist place where people around the world would visit this place to spend their holiday. I am sure few here might have such experience. Besides this, I have seen people playing in London. But not sure if its legal or illegal in these places. Must be a legalized game there I suppose.
Most areas don't bother with gambling legality the government most times don't even care if gamblers exist or not which makes it even easier for gamblers to go about their everyday routine without restrictions. This isn't common in all places most places don't have the free will to gamble as it isn't legalized in those areas but with most online casinos funding and betting has become even more easier by cutting regional barrier and government policies
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Expanding DeFi on: October 04, 2021, 10:22:57 PM
And this is where everyone can benefit, once someone becomes Instafamous on Crypto platforms, others can pay them to do ads or they can get free stuff. For example, if someone goes on vacation and writes all about it on Instagram the whole time, maybe the company likes the pictures of them and they give it to you for free, or offer another. Casinos already offer this kind of treatment to big spenders, but imagine if you could go spend your Crypto in Vegas, get a bunch of other stuff paid for for doing it, and now other people know where to go spend their Crypto at a Casino. That just ads to something that is happening every day.

Steemit already existed, but I think we are going to find it is a big part of what DeFi is supposed to be, but for the Non-Techy people.

Becoming instafamous on crypto platforms comes with lots of benefits and attracts paid adverts especially when quality content is assured. DeFi for the non-technical people could just revolve around this paid ads taking advantage of the opportunity available in advertising some crypto casinos or doing some quality comtent on crypto related sites and still earn huge from the DeFi platforms all over the cloud at the moment
606  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: October 04, 2021, 09:46:40 PM
As for the plethora of altcoins out there, and, in particular, the few that I own, I worry about the long-term future of their viability. At the time of this writing, it seems as if the sky is the limit and these projects are not only growing, but here to stay. However, things aren't always as they seem and I'm starting to wonder if it may be more prudent to dump and invest solely in BTC which I feel provides the most benefit to society and potentially has the most durability.

Anyways, any feedback is appreciated. Call me a crazy bitcoin maximalist, tell me I'm making the best decision possible or anything in between
Bitcoin could be a better option when filling in your list of coin portfolio and could be give in more returns and certainly has longer durability compared to most altcoins bit have a chain list of other portfolios on your coin list options other than completely dumping them you could reduce the asset of altcoins and share the investment unevenly amongst them making Bitcoin of greater percentage so you don't miss-out on other market capitalization.
607  Economy / Economics / Re: When you sell is no longer "yours" on: October 03, 2021, 10:07:35 PM
When you sell, is no longer yours. When you sell your bitcoin for more than you paid, you may be happy about it, but unless you have an investment to make or would like to buy something else, all you have left is... fiat. And fiat finds its way out of pockets very quickly.
This is just the bitter truth. You only get happy seeing your Bitcoin sold at a higher price than you bought but once it's converted to fiat it gets out of the pocket too quickly like @ op rightly said except for the purpose of reinvestment or an urgent need it's better to reserve your asset in cryptocurrency than fiat because 1 valueable cryptocurrency in your wallet is better than a thousand fiat in your account
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How a token burn works? on: October 03, 2021, 09:14:31 PM
Many projects utilize this process for many reasons, including to forcibly make the price rise (this method is particularly used by scammy projects) via reducing the supply of the token.

The question I have is: how do they do that?
This basically the job of miners and developers which burn their tokens to cause a rise in price due to its scarcity. Most times this is used for project that has gotten lots of investors the burn this tokens thereby making it's very scares and the percentage burnt is sent to an address where no one can access and once the supply chain is limited it brings about an inflation in price
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: YOUR FAVORITE GAMBLING? on: October 02, 2021, 07:08:10 AM
I'm really not comfortable with blast or any game that rely on luck before a win can be guaranteed. If I must play it should be within peers and not for gambling. I rather gamble on sports where I can relate with previous matches to decide who would definitely win amongst the two teams present.
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 02, 2021, 06:37:22 AM
Idk how else would it differ from other P2E schemes, but given that there are elements of poker embedded on it, I'm sure it will quickly gain a following and supporters. The NFT space is growing more and more every day, and with such projects like this, the growth would only accelerate. The problem is, at the end of the day, it's just poker, so it will be hard to persuade people to transfer over to metaverse just to satiate their gambling needs. Then again, the NFT space is looking more and more promising by the day, so I think there's already that for people who are still quite unsure if they should jump ship or not.
As time flies many would choose to jump.into the ship provided NFTs are there to earn many investors would also partake in the projects which will also prompt many people to jump in the ship even not necessarily because the love poker games but trying to earn the NFT making even more gamblers venture into metaverse because a lot of people who gamble do it to try their luck and wouldn't mind switching once a good offer is presented
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't trade using instinct on: October 02, 2021, 06:21:27 AM
DYOR. Do you own research to find out top coins that you could profit from. Cryptocurrency investment is too volatile to start giving out recommendations on which coin an individual should invest in. It is better you research for your self and wguoe doing that a avoiding your instict will help a lot. Do your own analysis either from technical or fundamental point of view and seek for coins that you feel will yield a good ROI
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $2.7 billion merger - Bally's Corp and Gamesys - one of the biggest in gambling on: October 01, 2021, 07:09:14 PM
Bally's Corporation and Gamesys has finalized their 2.7 billion USD mergar plan.

Quote
A leading casino-entertainment company, Bally’s Corporation completed its merger with Gamesys Group, the online gaming company. Under the deal, Bally’s agreed to pay approximately $2.7 billion (£2 billion) to Gamesys Group. This represents approximately $25 per company share in cash.
Most landed casinos are finding their way online because most gamblers are more comfortable playing online other than on land. Merging with Gamesys Group should be one of the best decisions they made in a long while.

But they still have to include crypto gambling to their options if they haven't done so. Because fiat based casinos is not as good enough compared to crypto based in terms of returns and profit.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is easier? on: October 01, 2021, 04:52:07 PM
To those who are trading consistently, I would like to ask you based on your experience.

Which is easier in making a profit, riding with the hype, or waiting until the price will dip?

Most people say that don't buy when the market is bullish, just wait until there's a price correction and the price will dip.
So with your experience, I like to know which is more effective between the two.
Waiting until the price reaches the dip again, the logic behind the Market is buy low and sell high. Following hype might be deceptive and you might end up buying due to an over hyped token or coin and end up running on a straight loss except for some special coins or token but for new ones with good projects just buy low and sell high
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting to begin this Thursday in Connecticut on: October 01, 2021, 09:03:44 AM
I noticed that more states now are legalizing gambling. This is good for the sports betting industry as it will increase their revenue, and not only that, it would also help the government to increase their tax collection, making it legal has better benefits than not regulating it at all.

Anyway, I also hope that it will have a positive effect on crypto as these gambling sites if crypto is legal could add crypto as a payment system and we can count that as another adoption.
The government of the day has no choice but to legalize gambling since it has become a way of life for so many. This is just a perfect news for gamblers who reside in connecticut. For day government another source of revenue is gotten. Legalizing it will reduce the fake gambling sites as licensing will serve as the demarcation between both
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entain to Get Gambling License in the Netherlands on: September 30, 2021, 07:14:23 PM
All a genuine gambler needs is a reliable site to gamble and get paid when due.
Entain should do well to take up contracts with the 'people's choice' gaming platform or prune thier customers with adverts on how the sites works, the likes of bingoal,Holland casino etc.
And also, requirements of ksa online operators to centralize their data base should be undentical and uneasy to access or made in a way that could not easily get spammed.

The essence of holding down a coin is for a long term profit and with long term profit in view bear moments wouldn't be much of a concern to you most especially if you invest in a project such as bitcoin.  If you bought and the price decline hold-on if possible buy more and hold with the expectation of more profit.
618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 21, 2021, 07:37:32 AM
Udinese 0 - 4 Napoli

it was a fantastic victory, the goals and the statistics prove how Napoli crushed Udinese

ball possession:

Napoli = 63%

Udinese: 37%

shots:

Napoli = 8

Udinese = 1

 Grin

Napoli appearance in that match really showed their quality as one of the top teams in the Italian league, now Napoli are the only team that is still perfect from the four matches that have been in La Liga, they managed to collect 12 points from four matches so far, In addition to having a fairly effective attack, Napoli also have a strong defense and it's proven they managed to create 10 goals and conceded only 2 goals.

Their team work paid off. Napoli truely crushed Udinese. From accurate passes to the score sheet they played more as a team.

     Udinese     384               Passes:  Napoli 642
      Udinese.    88%.         Pass accuracy.      91%
The first goal from V. Osinhem although the goal was stolen from Lorenzo Insigne in the 24' came as a shocker. This guy's played professional soccer gradually building a big club in serie A. Their full 12 points intact topping the table for the season.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 21, 2021, 12:51:48 AM
Maturity should be considered not age considering that many factors could lead an under-aged fellow into gambling. I came to discover many underaged gambler although not all have control over their emotions compared to adults.

The perfect age for an individual to engage in gambling is when the person can handle emotions and has a source of income then they can gamble because the responsibility that comes with earnings would help reduce excessive gambling

620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: September 21, 2021, 12:42:59 AM
Computational ledger using blockchain is immutable And would be a good tool in solving disputes between gambling operators and it's clients. This would save the stress of going to court over misunderstanding between this two parties. using blockchain would provide legitimate evidence for both the gambler and the operator

One interesting fact about blockchain is it's consensus mechanisms adopting this in gambling makes the system completely transparent
