601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO projects with very good rating on: October 22, 2019, 01:58:43 AM
When i search i found ICO projects with very good rating, this rating posted buy ICO rating websites, how this rating works, websites did not mention about the factors use to rate this projects.

Because there is no factor most of the time other than the amount of money that changes hands. That is the truth with ICO rating. There was a time when the ratings that are released by these ICO rating websites are more or less reflecting the real deal of the projects. But then it gradually transformed into a money-making machine that will allow ICOs to bid for the number of stars, the highest spot, or the highest grade.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Energi's (NRG) charity, what do you think? on: October 21, 2019, 04:02:40 PM
What do you think about a charity being connected to a coin?  Personally I think it's great as they are making an impact. There are very few coins / tokens that actually make a difference in the blockchain space, never mind in the world. On top of that, i've seen a lot of projects that are trying to improve the environment but have done nothing, Energi has planted 3,000 trees in one campaign, cleaning up beaches and helping orphans, I hope they continue to grow this part of their ecosystem.

Here is my question, on the 3,000 trees planted by Energi, how many of them were still alive after one week? After one month? After a year? How many of them grew into a mature tree? Planting is one thing, taking care of it, and seeing the seedling grow into a full tree is another.

Projects such as this is a thing to behold. This is not a selfish project, one that is made for the purpose of profit alone. The main concern about a project such as this is funds as well as sustainability. I would want to know more about tokenomics of such project.
603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TETHER (USDT) on ERC20 on: October 21, 2019, 11:34:38 AM
Tether (USDT) is the same Tether (USDT) even if they will move over to Ethereum and will operate from now on as an ERC20. It will continue to be just a coin that is pegged on the USD fiat. There will not be much change to the community's treatment of it also because the fundamental features are virtually unchanged. Everything else basically remains the same.
604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My speculation for 2020 on: October 21, 2019, 11:05:35 AM
so after coinbase tweeted that they are interested in the listing of 17 barely known projects on their exchange
i checked this thing a little and found out that most of them are in private sale
i got into a conclusion that after the next coins launch : Filecoin, Dfinity, Avalanche, Gram, Celo, Chia, Coda, Handshake, Kadena, Mobilecoin, Near, Nervos, Oasis, Orchid, Solana, Spacemesh, Polkadot.  (some of them already launched)

some time after the launch of these coins there will be another market manipulation and a new altcoin bubble
it probably will happen sometime in 2020 or 2021.
there is no need for 90% of this projects, its just the ticket to enter the market for some new well connected players and to grab some BTC on the way in

(more info: https://www.altcoinbuzz.io/crypto-news/product-release/exclusive-overview-all-17-unknown-coins-coinbase-is-exploring/ )

Poor crypto supporters and traders in the US. They are becoming a hermit country thanks to their government and their agencies such as SEC. They now look primitive as compared to less developed countries but are adapting to the growing technologies.

With only a couple of exchanges left and projects and coins not free to enter into the market, they are now forced to trade all these shitcoins. This is funny. And what is this Gram included in the list? Is this a fake GRAM of Telegram which the US has just blocked?
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 21, 2019, 10:42:11 AM
I do not believe that the problem of ICOs is in the lack of trust from investors. For sure, such a fundraising method would attract more investors, but the biggest issue is postponed releases and bad exchange listings.

I don't agree. The biggest issues are certainly not postponed releases or bad exchange listings. Those two are not even within the ICO period anymore. The biggest issues when it comes to ICO are that most of them are scams, the others are copies only of existing projects, the others are not within quality level. And more than this, most of them failed or are gone after the ICO ends, some after the coins are listed to exchanges. There are no more active developers nor product improvements or releases.
606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Mixing Bitcoin?? on: October 21, 2019, 10:12:00 AM
Please I may not be the only lame man here I've longing to know why People typically use bitcoin mixers to mask any previous "questionable" transactions from the bitcoin that they are likely cashing out in their real name. Now let me know about purpose of mixing bitcoins.

Cryptocurrency users use crypto mixers to cut the tracks of your crypto transactions or coins. They are basically designed to improve crypto anonymity. Without mixers, crypto transactions could be traced. The blockchain presents all the transactions to the public. Everyone can view the movement of a certain coin, which address it came from and where it goes, and then moved again to another one, and so on. With a mixer, it is given a dead end.
607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 4 reasons why Bitcoin has bottomed out on: October 21, 2019, 09:47:16 AM
Hey guys,

I really do think Bitcoin has bottomed out right now.
1st we haven't seen any close below the weekly EMA and it acted as support
2nd Correction of 45% one of the highest ones so far
3rd Bullish divergence on the weekly chart
4th triple bottom reversal pattern

For my complete analysis check my YouTube video : https://youtu.be/XUyoGTJH8FY
But it doesn't yet,we faced dump after this post as well and chances for more dump to hit $7000,any new analysis after that dump?
That dump is a minor dump and it is too early to start judging it by what the op said, the value will definitely still rise back, the bulls are really keeping the market stronger, I know that there has been many people predicting that bitcoin will still bottomed more at $6000, anyway, we are still hear watching if those who predicted it will be mocked, or it will surely drop down that low.

If it drops, it will still be another point of investment for many people, because this could be the last $6000 we will actually see again after which the next price action will be bull run, this $6000 drop could actually be the bull run point that some analyst are greatly waiting for as a catalyst to the next bull run we will have and I am suspecting it also because I am also planning to buy at that $6k, so as other are too.
We all are well aware of the fact that bitcoin is going through downfall at the moment and we all also know that the rise comes in the last month of the year or so. So what else can we expect from bitcoin and whole digital market during dip other than giving us a chance to buy our favorite coin at least price possible. Like you, I also think that this is going to be the last time we will ever see bitcoin worth 6k dollars.

The last time I heard that 'last time' phrase was before Bitcoin hovered for a long time over $10,000 and even rose above that. They say, it was the last time Bitcoin will ever touch that 4-digit price. I was happy with them. I was also hoping they were right. And yet here were are at $8,000, just fresh from $7,000. Funny how people are bullish when the price is not. And who would have imagined that Bitcoin would touch $3,000 once again when it already reached $20,000?
608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run / wishful think ? on: October 21, 2019, 09:20:35 AM
well, i dont believe that .
i just think with my logic, how people, or whales or big investor or whatever their name, will put their money to the crypto market easily without think first, or even if they think first, did they will think about consequence from their action ?
maybe mass sell will come from another side who have been waiting that moment.
just because end of the year will come and u think bull will comes too ?
or someone can explain me about bull run signal or whatever u call that, because i totaly think that just no more than wishfull think.

Most of the time, a predicted bull run is really a wishful thinking. People are just too eager for their Bitcoin value to increase rapidly. They want to make money as quick as possible. But in all fairness, there are also times when the bull run which is anticipated or happening is something that has a sound fundamentals basis. Bitcoin halving for example is one reason for that. Or a large country opening its doors for crypto payments. These are reasons that might cause a bull run.
609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Catex exchange e catex token on: October 21, 2019, 08:53:11 AM
Never heard of such exchange with such tokens. But my experience with similar conditions have not been very positive. Being a less popular exchange with no real volume and liquidity. We can't really say how it will turn out, even though there is good development going on in the background. Will watch on the low.

If you are interested to buy exchange tokens, why choose catex token? Is there any convincing reason? I mean, there are other tokens out there from other exchanges that are far more trusted. For example, you have Binance or Kucoin and others. I cannot find a good reason why catex token is going to be my choice. The exchange itself is reporting fake numbers in their trading volume.
610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Believe ShapeShift's Trap. There is No Cheap Hardware Wallet! on: October 21, 2019, 08:28:43 AM
It is therefore a bait. And it was a nicely-designed one at that. They deserve a thumbs up for their cunning ways of luring people into undergoing KYC. However, it is still a bait and people should not be led by that. Thank you for letting us all know. I was actually a shapeshift user before when there was no account and KYC requirements yet, but when they started calling for their users to create an account and pass KYC, I left their services.
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can make more profit ? on: October 21, 2019, 08:03:03 AM
What you think more profit, participate in IEO or wait after IEO and buy the token from exchanges?

In both cases you are actually purchasing the token from exchanges, even if you buy during or after the IEO. If there are only a couple of options given, either to invest during the IEO or buy the token after the IEO, I would choose after the IEO when there is already dumping. But then of course it highly depends on the project you are investing into. If the project is really huge and promising, I would not miss buying it during the IEO. But if the project is just one of the rest, I will wait for the IEO to finish.
612  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you share Bitcoin percentage in your portfolio? on: October 21, 2019, 07:38:26 AM
This is not important to discuss, but it's for general curiosity. I hold over 100 coins and tokens but most of them found in airdrops so they have near zero value. I only have 11 including BTC that I invested and really care about. I don't want to name all of them but as of today, nearly 66% percent (based on BTC price, not fiat) of my portfolio fills with Bitcoin.
Can you share your percentage of BTC holding? Kindly, only count coins that have value.

I cannot say the exact percentage but it is also near the percentage of your Bitcoin in your portfolio. I am sure it is over 50%. I also have more than 10 altcoins. The rest I do not count anymore and even list in my blockfolio because they are already worth less than or around 1$. That means they are not mine anymore. The moment I move them, they will just perish away by way of transaction fee.
613  Economy / Economics / Re: The Decline and Fall of the European Union on: October 21, 2019, 04:44:00 AM
Only if humanity will unight we will be able to do great things. I support EU
This is a fact that if we all unite hands and work for the betterment of the world. World is not going to be ruled by animals, it is meant to be ruled by humans. World was made so that we all humans can live in  harmony and peace but few cruel people simply want to rule others and this is the reason we have this super power thing in the world hurting all countries.
Until we ourselves starts to accept that the Almighty God has already given us the dominion over our things personally before we can get to that stage where we have to start correcting some of these super power things, and like you said, we have so many animals in the world in form of human being and they are the ones that would like to rule us, which is also why our financial system is really not favoring us that much and if someone has great as Satoshi has really create d a system that will assist.

I see no reason why we should not embrace it fully, but instead, we still have some of those humans also who are super rich discouraging people through the way that they manipulate the market, so I am really wondering how we are going to eventually get this freedom that we deserve.

Was there ever a time when there is unity among men? There was none. Even in the smallest unit of the society, inside the family, there is not even unity. How can we envision it to a larger scale as to the entire world? This is not going to happen at all. Unity is only a concept. That is something we cannot find in the hard world. If there is unity, there would not have been wars, colonization, poverty, discrimination, injustice, and so on.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can people use facebook libra coin? on: October 21, 2019, 04:16:22 AM
I want to know about the new coin from the facebook called libra and how will people use libra, and when will libra be available? to use. did you think that libra will overtake bitcoin and other crypto coins and become the number 1 coin in the crypto market?

What you think and share info about libra here.

What is this thread all about? Where were you these past several days, weeks, and months? Were you in your hole hibernating? I mean, this issue was already explosive for weeks and even before that when the project started to hit the news. Have you not read a single news about it, or at least a thread here?

Libra is not available at all and it may not be made available in the next year. They are still under investigation. A lot of lobbying and negotiations are still happening until now. It will not be number 1 because Bitcoin will always be holding that number and because it is not the cryptocurrency that people want.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would ICO scene succeed if it was organized like crowdfunding not investing? on: October 21, 2019, 03:46:38 AM
More than half of the ones which ended up successful would have all failed to even gain a single trust from someone like that. They need to convince in much more ways than what they actually did during their ICO. Most ICO investors would only look for a factor or two before they decide to invest. Most of the time, a CEO or a president that has experience with the likes of Google or Microsoft is enough reason for them to invest. In a crowdfunding, the game is different. For sure, only the best will gain the money.
616  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy now Bitcoin today on: October 21, 2019, 03:15:31 AM
This is quite a prophetic TA. I am amazed. And I very seldom am amazed when it comes to TAs. Many of them are failing their predictions. But not this one, so far, although I am seeing in the charts that instead of Bitcoin pushing through with the rising line and creating a double digit growth before going into correction, it has already bumped into something hard even before it hit $8,300. I hope to see $9,000 though very soon.
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for honest feedback on: October 21, 2019, 02:49:48 AM
I represent https://www.xpinvest.io/

We're looking for honest feedback on our exchange- what do you guys think of the concept- UX/UI etc. We have free demo accounts so you don't need to give us any money/KYC/information to sign up.

We're just eager to learn how we can make the trading experiences better and build our roadmap accordingly. Highlight of features.

Summary of what is available
Buy vs. Short Sell
Leverage 5X
Oil/BTC pair
Gold/BTC pair
Hang Seng Index/BTC pair
FTSE/BTC pair
Coffee/BTC pair

and a few more. Thanks in advance for your help and honest feedback.

This is obviously a work in progress so I am expecting that the UI is still going to be improved a lot more. UX is impossible to give or to try since the site, as already pointed out by the previous posters, does not offer much leeway to the tester or visitor. One has to sign up to know how it feels to use the site. The pairs are exciting to me. They are not the typical crypto pairs. I think it would help if this is going to be posted on the exchange section as well.
618  Economy / Economics / Re: INFLATION IN THE UNDERDEVELOPED COUNTRIES on: October 21, 2019, 02:22:57 AM
It's not right to blame the poor or underdeveloped countries if they have an high inflation issue this is because inflation problem can be anywhere and anytime. Inflation is the rate at which the general level of prices for goods and services rises and results in a decrease in purchasing power of a country's currency therefore becoming a poor country is not the only reason of inflation but because  either excess aggregate demand (economic growth too fast) or cost push factors in which rich countries could happen too.
That is not true. Not all of the underdeveloped countries have a high inflation rate. Most of them have a normal range of inflation rate and I don't think that the inflation rate has a factor for them being a underdeveloped country because it depends on the government if they are corrupt or not and if they are doing some projects that can attract investors will eventually boosts their economy.
But in the end, inflation is inflation. I mean even if a country has a low rate of it, still the people will be facing a lot of trouble and therefore, these common people should take some firm steps on their own for the betterment of living standards. These are the countries who need to invest in bitcoin so that they can improve their financial status and enjoy luxuries offered by life. They should stop depending on others.

You are bringing the discussion into an unnecessary point. The two are talking about the possible correlation between inflation and the country being underdeveloped. And here you are immediately jumping into these countries needing to invest in Bitcoin. This is a huge leap into a different idea.

Well, inflation does not necessarily be the thing of the poor countries only. It is just that when there is inflation in these countries the effect is worse because even before the inflation arrives the people are already having a hard time making ends meet. So when the inflation comes in, things are getting more and more unbearable. Unlike in richer countries, inflation is still present but since they have a high standard of living, they can contain it to a certain extent that they are not going to lose food on the table due to it.
619  Economy / Economics / Re: Fear of Facebook spurs Federal Reserve to build its own digital currency on: October 21, 2019, 02:00:48 AM
Interesting how fear can also drive this powerful institution now to act in a different way. The thing that they are criticizing is the very thing that drives them into the area they equally criticized in the past. And now they are also entering into the arena. This must be the chilling fear inside them that let them finally deciding to join the club. Welcome to the digital world, where the rules are different and where you are probably going to be defeated.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Litecoin dips really low in price, I am buying a LOT! on: October 21, 2019, 01:33:51 AM
When I did buting at dips before, I experienced loss when I buy at dips because I thought that the price is now cheap and there is a dip that happens again. I cut my position because I know that it will go down more. LTC is a good coin but I do not have plan to buy dips at it.

The track record of Litecoin is clear enough that it is not a disappointing coin nor a disappointing project. When I buy at a dip thinking that it is already hitting the lowest point and it turned out that I was wrong, I would rather HODL it rather than sell it with a loss with the goal of cutting my loss. That is not practical for me.  At the end of the day, there will always be a rebound for Litecoin.

yes you're right, rather than selling it better to wait a little longer. because ltc is one good altcoin. so sooner or later in the end the coin will surely rise. and one more buy is also good, it will increase profits when the price rises later. I also sometimes do this. rather than selling, buying more is more profitable. what more for large coins like litecoin.

Instead of selling at a loss to prevent more losses, one could instead buy more so that by the time the price changes direction, you will have more profit. And one more thing, a loss in terms of USD price value is not really a loss. It is just the price moving. But if you decide to sell, then that is what loss means. That cannot be recovering its price anymore because you are already selling it at a cheaper one.
