6001  Economy / Gambling / Re: -~*´¨¯¨`*·~ Luck.Network ~*´¨¯¨`*·~- Blockchain Games Need Players |-o-| Please on: October 15, 2018, 07:07:48 PM
Hello friends,

Thought it would be fun to host a casino machine. Set this site up as an experiment and learning opportunity. I'm thinking to control the house edge around 0% to 1%ish. I put a lot of efforts into this small operation. Hope you enjoy playing and this will turn into something positive one day.  Smiley

Play Here >>> [ https://luck.network ]  <<<

Damn, I don't know where to start, you are just doing it terribly wrong clavigerous.

If you want people to trust in your site you need a real provably fair engine, you can't say the result is generated by a random number because that can be easily rigged.

In php,
Code:
              $luck = rand(1, 10000);

              if ($luck < $chance * 100)
              {
                $betResult = 'won';

Code:
if ($betResult = 'won') {  $luck = rand(1, 10000)}

You see it?

Quote
There is no fee for playing the games. Luck.Network pays all the transaction fees of payouts.

You can't say that because users will have to pay the transaction fee every time they send a bet.

So, to end I would like to mark 2 points here, If you prove the casino have a bankroll and if you change that provably fair engine to a real one I will give a try to your games.

Good luck with this project and you still have a lot of work to do with it, no one says it would be easy to code a casino  Wink

6002  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie mining question on: October 15, 2018, 02:36:05 PM
I have two fairly low spec computers which run 24/7. Neither has a dedcicated graphics card.

If I have them both running as CPU miners connected to a mining pool is this likely to generate many Bitcoins?

Nop, CPU mining is already dead, isn't an option nowadays, but let me tell you what you can do...

Get two video cards of 8Gb each one, plug them to your computers and start mining something like LTC or DOGE, if i'm not wrong the best coin to mine nowadays with video is Monero. So, that way you will have to invest close to $500, but you will start making profit with mining.
6003  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Solution to scam projects and ICOs on: October 15, 2018, 02:32:52 PM
I'm here today to share my own stupid thoughts and get answers about crypto in general,no knowledge is lost ,if I'm wrong I expect to be corrected and I will accept my mistake ,I'm not happy about what is happening to newbies who lost money investing in ICOs ,I even came to notice that even well made projects that has whitepaper and good roadmap can turn to scam ,i don't even know the kind of advice to give newbies anymore .my fellow crypto people out there is there no solution to this? Why can't there be some special forces and licenses for crypto ,I mean FBI tackles and investigate crimes ,COPs makes peace and keep the street clean off crime ,to sell a property you have to be in possession of your prove of ownership ,why can't there be something like that ?

1) if any one wants to launch a project/ICO ,he or she must have a special license ,permitted to carry on, something like KYC ? You guys know what I'm talking about,I think this will make people worry less and infact scammers will run off in no time

2) why are no government involvement in crypto world or am I missing something? Government involvement can lower the risk ,it will make my number 1 point easier ,if you don't have so so and so certificate no one will invest in your project kinda thing

3) people will worry less about crypto ,more of a safe haven ,and all we have to tell newbies is 'don't invest in projects that doesn't have this documents/pass kinda thing..I hope in the future something big will be done about this ,projects may not bring big fortune but at least they will stay and not run off with newbies money.

The problem is the world division, we live in a world with lot of countries and each one have it,s own laws, for example, in USA in some states weed is already legal, but in lot of countries you will go to jail if you buy weed, so, who is right there? are laws really effective and equal for all? i don't think so. Now, getting on your points, here are my answers:

1.- Coins are decentralized there is no authority over them, so who will issue those licenses? Can you imagine how hard would be to be in Japan and try to get a license from USA for your ICO? and let suppose USA gives the licenses, are you agree with me about there will be zero licenses for NorthCorea... So, isn't easy.

2.- You are missing something here, Venezuela's gove is already involved in cryptos and they already launch their coin, is called Petro, and is already on circulation, you can find more about it here https://petro.gob.ve/ but to have a gov behind a coin doesn't make it more reliable.

3.- Lot of newbies have been scammed in past and will be scammed in future, is part of the learning, isn't a cool way to learn but after they get scammed once they move more carefully.
6004  Local / Esquina Libre / Re: CONCURSO SEMANAL DE MERITO 4 AL 11 DE OCTUBRE - CERRADO, PRONTO OTRO on: October 15, 2018, 02:16:52 PM

6005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking too Learn how to code for blockchain on: October 15, 2018, 01:53:15 PM
Hello,

I have worked in Linux coding for the last 2 months or so. However, I can't seem to find any links or resources on how to build a masternode based coin or even using the bitcoin codebase for that matter. Any help in that area which can be given is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. If his is in the wrong section I have no issue moving it. Smiley

I would also be really great-full of any one to one help that can be given.

Thanks in advance.

Well, there are lots of ways to do this, you can use bash script on Linux to invoke bitcoin-cli and use all the functions from your bitcoin node, or another way is to get a wrapper for BTC and make your code in JS and node.

Since you are coding in linux the easy way would be with bash script, but it depends on the complexity of the project you are developing, if you want to build a robust system, then go with JS. if you want to make test and have some fun with codes then go with bash.

Ok guys, after read all your point of view i realized how bad was the idea, at end look like it's irrelevant information who only gives 'some fake feeling of security'.

I want to thanks to pooya87, LoyceV, Lucius and ETFbitcoin for your answers, and you are right guys. This is just a bad idea and not a security solution.

6008  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Know what wallets have loaded my Private Keys on: October 13, 2018, 10:50:08 PM
Hello guys, I was thinking about this topic, I know is impossible to know if someone has loaded my private keys on his wallet. But I think that is relevant information for the network, that would give more trust, and I know what are you thinking. Someone can copy the private key and not load it until he wants to steal the BTC, but at least would be nice to know if my online wallets or my exchanges accounts have a compromised addys.

I think this is necessary because the brute force attacks are getting better with time and lots of btc have been vulned this way. So, I was thinking this would be possible to do it like a transaction, once a private key get loaded on a wallet that information could go on the next block to be public for all.

And here is where the discussion starts, is possible with the right software upgrade, but do you think is really relevant information to be on the network?
6009  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk.org YouTube channel? on: October 13, 2018, 08:16:32 PM
Recently the idea occurred to me that it might be cool to have a bitcointalk.org YouTube channel. It could contain things such as:
 - Bitcoin information
 - Summaries of recent high-quality posts
 - Summarized crypto news, but from a neutral perspective, without any pump-and-dump

If there was regular (eg. weekly) content, this might be a good way of attracting good new users and making existing users feel more engaged in the community.

Does this sound like a good idea? Is anyone interested in producing this content? I suppose we'd need at least someone with good camera presence, someone skilled at video editing, and one or more script writers. I might be willing to dedicate some forum funds to this.

I'm interested to be part of this project.

I agree, it sounds like a great idea because Youtube is the main social network if we talk about real traffic. In the past year I developed some nice video editing skills, so, that could be my contribution to the project, I even can make one of those nice 3D intros for the videos.

Tell me more about what do you have in mind, you want it like a tv program with sections? or short videos about a single topic?

By the way, I was thinking about one representant of each language, at least all languages from Local forum sections. I would be proud to make this for the Spanish section, I have a good camera presence and can make the translation from the English videos to Spanish.

So, if you decide to do it, i'm in! Wink

Hello Jessica.

Please take a look at the bcoin docs, there you will find all the information you need.

6011  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto coins on my website on: October 13, 2018, 03:16:45 PM
as the title say :
How to accept crypto coins on my website
plus if he don't know about crypto world
I want him to pay with his VISA/Paypal
and I convert his money to crypto
I know it seems impossible , but using third party may be good

After reading all the solutions no one has mentioned it... What you need is the shapeshift API, that way you can accept bitcoin and other alts, for more information please follow the next link:

https://docs.shapeshift.io/

That's the easy way, if you want the hard way then you can get a bitcoin node and code a full backend for cryptos.
6012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can i purchase large quantity of bitcoins, and remain anonymous ? on: October 13, 2018, 03:09:19 PM
To be properly anonymous you'll need to pay with cash. That means paying someone in person, and probably winding up in a bag somewhere, or depositing it in someone's bank account and the bank will make sure you end up in a bag instead considering the amounts at play.

By paying in cash or going to the bank depositing the fund has actually revealed such person identity and that violated his/her motive to go anonymous. I think the best way to do that is to register on the most good exchanges like Bittrex, Binance, Polonix etc.  Though he might not be able to buy less than below 1BTC if he doesn't do KYC and even if KYC is done, he might not be able to buy more than 2-5BTC a day. That means he has to wait a little long before he could buy the really amount he wanted to buy.

That will not work, at least Poloniex and their new policy don't allow anon users anymore.

I not sure if local bitcoins allow it, but if i would like to do that i think the right way would be:

1.-Download TOR.
2.-Open an account on Localbitcoins.
3.-Make a deal for Cash.
4.-Meet with the seller, bring the cash and give him your btc addy.

By the way, if you really want to be anon, i recommend you to not use bitcoin, you should better use Monero or Zcash.
6013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Regulation Does not take away the concept of Decentralization on: October 13, 2018, 02:39:37 PM
Like the saying goes, where there is no law, there is no sin.

This is why the crypto world has been plagued with so much frauds and scams. The scams in different crypto affairs from ICOs, to bounties, airdrops, mining, etc have continued to be on the rise.

But isn't the debauchery land, i mean, a lot of people is already in jail for this.

Studies have also shown that the number of scam or fraudulent ICOs in this year 2018 alone, already exceeds the record of all previous years put together. This unwanted record is likely to continue into 2019 and beyond if nothing is done to checkmate it.

Yeah, but the number of Pozis have gone down, if you see is hard to find nowadays on the forum the famous 'Doublers'. Now the easy money is on ICO's and there is the min scamns.

There has to be Global Regulatory Authority which all ICOs or crypto related project must pass due diligence test before even commencing any form of bounty and token sales.

I believe this will bring back a lot of confidence in cryptocurrency and consequently more investments.

What are your thoughts on this?

I see a problem about this, bitcoin don't have a nation. So, what laws should it follow? lets suppose it takes murican laws, and there comes an Indo scammer, should USA chase the Indo guy out of his territory for scamming?

Is a complex topic my friend, and if it doesn't have a regulation at this point, is because govs havn't find the way.

I already start this thread in the spanish section, but I want to know what the world thinks about this.

He is Ángela Ponce, and is the representant from spain for Miss Universe:

So, how this makes you feel?

My mixed feeling can't make me think clearly, idk, i'm really open mind in this kind of topic, I mean, we all have the freedom to believe in what we want, and to live our life by the way we want. I'm not here to say what's fine and what's wrong, but I bring this topic because want to read what the bitcoiners think about this, I would like to know how many of you get shocked by this just like me.

Actualmente no existen soluciones descentralizadas confiables.

Had to add this one to this thread, even if it’s in my local language. In summary, @mixercoin created a post to announce a BTC Mixer. Fair enough ...  Since the OP was so thin in content and information, @seoincorporation asked a fair set of decent question related to the business, such as what guarantees are there that the business will not just runoff with the BTC?, who is behind the project?, what is the progress so far? and why should we trust them and the project viability?

So far, so good, until @mixercoin gave his astonishing answer that surely will bring peace of mind to any interested party:(translation of the last line in the quoted text) "Services, Exchanges, etc. disappear every day, and nobody can give anything back."

I think I’ll stick to my signature’s proposal ...

The fun fact of that thread was the answer from womanderful...

I will translate it for all of you because I can't stop laughing.

Y yo me pregunto a mi mismo...

The rat has been used in financial street art for two decades and has been popularized by the anonymous artist Banksy. Andreas Antonopoulos has also referred to Bitcoin as a “sewer rat.”
