Yeah....my powers on such only work with Women. ..... I speak ....they retreat..... Every single time. Sad

(then again the lack of a life is why I got into BTC..so hey.....if BTC ever gets back to $1000 usd a coin...I'm pretty sure for some

'unexplained' reason...I'd get a LOT more attractive. Go figure? Huh?
6002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: March 05, 2016, 06:27:32 AM
so theoretically, with a bit of rummaging - one might turn a neptune doorstop into a 'fully'-functioning titan??

If you can get a Titan processing board, sure. The controller baseboard for the Neptune, Titan, and Jupiters are identical, the Titan uses a Raspberry pi plus a bridgeboard but I'm whacking away at getting a modern beaglebone running. The trick is figuring out how to remap the gpio ports, but I'm working on it. Unix lets you pull all sorts of funny crap.

Myself, I am not mining so much as fixing other people's stuff. The titans are worth fixing at this point, good systems.

Posting a Titan firmware for the Beaglebone soon, works for all KNC miners Jupiter, Neptune, and Titan.... Keep an eye out in the next few days...

ah..crap.....

was gonna take my Jupiter 4 port beaglebone apart and try the old pi/titan clone bridge(thanks qwberty) and my 4 port jupiter card)

hell

I suppose I should just wait a couple days huh?

posted this here and sent you a pm on this if you want me to test such ...BEFORE I hack it apart in the other method

as I look at my 4 port Oct jupiter card with bbb still attached......(so close to dismemberment baby) Smiley

anyway seems I got's options! Smiley

And if you had paid with a credit card instead of gift cards you'd have another layer of protection.
Offer
Card issuers usually won't offer protection on Paypal payments citing Paypal as a payment processor, so their transaction is just with Paypal and the customer's dispute is between Paypal and the seller.

I got one from Amex after the 45 days of PayPal expired, but alpha also lied to Amex that I paid I in full on dispute. Actual Amex rep swore on phone at that ( said what an ass under his breath) heh this was fraud dept. Got refund on the spot. It had been denied 1x but I pointed out the lie. Amex was miffed off. Got full refund on the spot.

edit: to posts below

The above did happen around June 2015....the policies may have changed....and/or I may have just gotten lucky because of the nature of the documentation they sent
Alpha Tech...Scrypt Miner folk (still get emails from them 2 years later saying soon ...lol )  'implied' I paid full price for a product...when alpha tech only took 30% down.....anyway my experience may have been unique and now that time has gone by....this may not be done anymore...just saying ....dumb luck on my part .....and don't lie with doc's in a dispute to Amex...they were NOT amused.....especially when on the phone with the Fraud Dept (they call you if they think it prudent on a dispute)...(again my 2nd try ..I lost the first dispute) with Amex I guess...and re-reading above had to have a LOT of ducks in a row in 20/20 hindsight to get that instant refund it seems.....
6004  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yesminer M20 / M10 on: March 04, 2016, 07:08:38 AM
Hello, You People.  I have been following (lurking) this thread for months as an unregistered guest.

My YesMiners story:
I saw a YesMiners auction listing on the US-eBay site and bit.  I was new to BTC, greedy, and naive.  I was third highest bidder in the last seconds at $1235 of $1750-ish for a $2750 voucher on YesMiners.de.  You can imagine my shock when I received a second-chance offer.  I figured they were new and eager for start-up cash.  CardCash had a 5% fire sale on eBay gift cards at the same moment so I took the offer.  Support (Mark) was very communicative and helpful at the time as he was until the supposed release day.  Even applying excess voucher funds to accessories on request with receipts and all.  You can imagine my dread when the YesMiners site went silent, then offline.  Surprise - It was a scam.  I never complained because they followed the rule

Edit - I don't have the envelope.

Well, now imagine my shock when I checked my PayPal balance recently and saw the entire amount was refunded!  The gift cards were restored and cash amount was returned to my PayPal account!  (See redacted screenshot below.)  Resolution Center listed the gift codes, thankfully.  I called PayPal customer support to get more information and a gentleman with a strong Indian accent named Nathan says Pylon Consulting was forced to refund the amount.  Or maybe Nathan didn't understand my question and was just agreeing with me.  Either way, THANK YOU whoever opened an case against PYC.  I had already given up.  Thank you.

YesLetter -
YesRefund -

TD;DR: I got my cash back and learned a lesson!

I'm a bit confused on this...but does this mean WHOEVER sold you the voucher via paypal on ebay.....was taken on such by yesminers themselves..thus when yesminers went poof and the vouchers etc became worthless...a complaint was made and paypal forced the folk 1 step above you in this yesminers scam who were likely taken for 'big bucks' to refund the vouchers?

is that how this played out?

6005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed transactions for many hours on: March 01, 2016, 11:26:34 PM
I got one at 4 days. I updated to 12.0 Bitcoin at and must have sent with low fee or some such.

Is not looking good imho. Only $25 but still it makes you think about how crummy it still is as a currency for say future eBay use it is yet.
6006  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: March 01, 2016, 07:10:52 AM
Missing the time when i was coming here for actual hardware discutions.....

I would agree with this as well. It's been "ages" since this thread has anything useful in terms of hardware. The SP50 miner seemed ripe for discussion, then nothing.....

P.S. I think @Searing is completely aware of the "home mining situation". Just read more of his posts on other threads.

yeah previous posting of 'home mining is dead' i get it Smiley

yeah don't do BTC for home mining ..a very very slight angle if you ..do scrypt (me LTC) but ONLY if 2 things are possible (unlikely)

1) If you already have a big ass alcheminer or titan miner it is POSSIBLE with heat on house benefit last winter anyway and in my case 6 months out of year
4c decrease winter rates (for elec heating folk...and they are great space heaters the titans 85% of my house was heated with such in Minnesota)
or you are in say Texas (4c kwh) Oregoin (3c kwh) etc anyway killed 85% of house heated by titans and 4c off elec rate oct to may (6 months) then back up 4c kwh

2) You can find such a used 'unicorn' above ...use my method above (currently at 3100 watts 11 cubes) to heat house with home miner space heaters and get the
electrical rate reduction for electric heat as primary heat option (hey they asked..i told the utility it was 'computer servers' they gave it to me anyway ...not sure it 'space heating'
is supposed to go thru miners first ..but there you are..nice pleasent clueless electrical utility lady) Smiley Even offered to be inspected...nope 'rubber stamped it' at utility end lol Smiley

but yeah its dead..home mining indeed..but I managed maybe to get this into  Oct and one more winter...the guy in Oregon at 3c kwh hell he may mine OK till 2018 lol Smiley

but no way I could do this anymore with any Spondoolies unit ...probably even in Oregon and elec rates and certainly not hosting even in Canada at 8c kwh with the
expense of picking up any equip scrypt or otherwise ..would be quite the gamble and 2 above you'd practically have to be given a unit (scrypt) for free for it MAYBE
to make more then you could get just buying btc or ltc

anyway ...postponed the 'inevitable' for yet another year...but for purposes of this thread ...unless a sp50 "kit" comes out at a way way way reasonable home miner price

(why am I saying that ..our soon to be 'galactic overlords' will arrive with their 'crypto coin' first}

but yeah...the 'fat lady' has been singing on this for quite a while Smiley

well anyway back to this thread of hunting the 'supposed' SP 50 btc miner (great white whale quest)

ie myth or reality even if in a data hall only? Film at 11pm?

But it would be nice if AT LEAST they could show SP50 equipment and such details even if we can never afford such at their data halls ect....just saying Smiley

6007  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 29, 2016, 06:53:05 AM
Do you have a resource for this or is it speculation? I am sincerely curious as I do not understand why they would not have a miner in hand. It is obvious they have the talent, either have or can get the money, and anything else needed.

Found the problem

just a note on what I see as an issue from spondoolies point of view is if they PAID Doggie say...the amount owed..they would have to pay a LOT of folk on this (not as much but still others would have $$$ coming say for a couple miners promoted under that old plan) .. they also would have to pay or compensate all the folk that had $$$ off coupons and/or $$$ off new equipment in the future maybe....in that they do not have new equip ...those folk have coupons worth 100's dollars off etc ...at this point in time they can't use..so anyway if Doggie wins ..it could be some real money to others..because a lot of people if my memory is right had discounts off the next miner product and such stuff of a similar manner above

anyway what I think I remember about all of the above

on Guy's behalf however I was refunded promptly (from forums I did not ask he pm'd me) 6.3k on some equip/hosting plan I likely could have ROI'd on...but had over done it with a 100 amp
service and 1 titan in the mix and was gonna have to host it and mentioned that this was probably not my 'wisest' move  in the forum post) anyway he pm'd me ..and without me asking ..said he'd refund the order (was a roadkill group order) if I needed to and was jam'd up....I was shocked and pleased he took the time to do so

anyway again the above is just what I think I remember and my view...I have no D...er won't go there ..I have no sides on this...just my experience with Guy and Spondoolies

I guess this is why they have lawyers and courts ...it will get resolved in some manner now I guess one way or the other

back to our continued lack of info on equipment from spondoolies and rabid speculation thread ...that we do so well... Smiley

6008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 29, 2016, 06:29:27 AM
Question for ya all....

My Titan keeps causing my PSU's modular power connectors to eventually melt after like months and months of steady use. I think it may be because of crappy modular cable connectors n connections to the PSU.
The titan side of things - including the Y adapters remain in good shape.

So, Im wondering

Has anyone tried powering their Titans w/ one of these 2000w server PSU's using the breakout boards sold here on the forums to much success? Im just wondering if these breakout boards plus decent PCIe cables would be better for the Titan or not.
Looks like the controller board & pi would both have to still be powered by a seperate ATX psu to supply 5v ... is this ok to do?
Thanks

All I can say is running my 'evil Titans' full out (hey it was what I was told by knc techies back in the day 15 months ago ....that 90-95c was fine...could go to 100c briefly also no
issues...overclock to 325mh to make up for dies dead (my unit 2 dies dead 1 per cube..would not RMA .thus 306.1mh so over 300mh knc did not have to rma anything)

ok so anyway I have NOT burnt out any connectors from my (both new and used) orig NOV 2014 units

I'm supposedly from folk ont here using a good platinum type power supply a Corsair AX 1200i Platinum 16 awg wire (not sure what the corsair ax 1500i uses but use ribbon format
thus I'd stick to ax 1200i just my view...the ax 1200i round/cloth covered ..not the side by side ribbon version)

Also as mentioned here...one went out after 15 months...I even told Corsair the truth..they could have gotten out of it as not normal wear and tear (24/7 15 months) and
not a legit computer use (Swedish titan asic miner prob not UL listed lol) Smiley I figured they'd say no anyway so I just told the truth and surprise

new unit was sent to me ..ka ching Smiley

so anyway really impressed with Corsair tech support and the rma process and replacement unit 7 years warranty and labor my only cost was 40 bucks insurance/tracking
to sent it back usps

so anyway my setup below in basement also may help cooler in summer and def great heat the house winter...so my environment may play a part in all this too

lostgonzo.imgur.com

kick ass work shop table by the by ...will likely get another for the making of my basement shop in old cistern basement room  project ...Sam's club and Menard's closet rack kit below fyi Smiley

The ONLY heat issue I have had and addressing is 3rd party set of 4 y adapters I had to use BEFORE knc shipped their y adapters.....started to get HOT...compared to
the knc y adapter types....so I replaced with the above NEW never used knc y adapters....I'd assume that maybe 15 months ANY Y adapter might start to go at that point...so something else to consider on your rigs for heat issues and your psu's swap these puppies out see if it helps Smiley

In my case seemed to help a lot  and viola just warm to the touch again..all 4 I replaced NOT hot to the touch at all ...no other changes then the swap out...

anyway a further consideration on this heat/plug/hot y adapter and cube plug titan issues

anyway ....likely you need something of a server psu in the hosting area..but all i know about my 'lack' of issues on my overclocked as hell evil knc miners for the last 15 months

this includes the used unit too I got in march his is even worse....fried the paint on the top of all the cubes! ..and his cubes run the best! go figure Smiley

again likely I am an 'exception' but just saying

edit: the above being said 'when' gen tarkin gets his 'self adjusting' version of the firmware out and it says 'you fool throttle your titans down' ( i really want to see you add that error message at some setting) Smiley I will likely let it pick the speed/hash/voltage or whatever voodoo is approprate.....mine have been going full out under the 'delusion' that knc knew wtf they were talking about (in truth overclocking did work so far and nicely heated my house too boot this winter also heh) Smiley

so anyway ...I'll let your firmware run see what it tells me to 'run' these cubes at etc on both machines....and stop the titan asic abuse......with that upgrade Smiley

6009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW Home X11 Dash Miner for Sale DualMiner DM384M Legit or Not? on: February 26, 2016, 12:02:53 PM
Well can't seem to 'quote' on this thread anymore since they moved it Smiley alas ..

I just got on the dualminer site. They said they were gonna sell a first run of 50 units via that site. I put in numbers. It will take 30 yet to buy after that nada....
so that means 20 have sold I guess....assuming the 'old' shopping cart trick above still works Smiley

Got an email from them. They claim that they will start shipping around March 1st. (no year specified lol but anyway if legit that is the date this year)

So....we will see....too rich for my blood thou

This next release ...... soon to become a reality!!!!!! woohoo =)
Final touches are in testing, hopefully no major bugs!

ah crap....as I sit here looking at the following parts

raspberry pi B+ 512mb

titan clone bridge (thanks qberty)

my knc Jupiter 550gh Nov 2013 4 port card with beagle bone still attached (must come off)

my Titan LCD gizmo from the 6 port Titan setup

the replacement (free) (new even) Corsair ax 1200i PSU from my 15 month RMA'd one that was 'fading' again
impressed with Corsair ..they could have refused warranty on 1) not ul listed equip and/or too exotic 2) normal
wear an tear on an titan ASIC 24/7 is not normal use....told them the truth even..they sent me new one w/o a
squeak)

my 1 die working Titan cube (30 ltc) I got to try NOT to blow up for this purpose

so heck if you get that new glen tarkin firmware out etc etc...I will then be 'compelled' to put this all
together and see if it works....(been stalling ...I'm a coward)

oh well.....at least I have the 'comfort' of ....if this works ...I will have brought forth .. a NEW evil KNC product
of the Titan variety...bruahahaha .... great we can MAYBE if this works 'spawn' new (I blame Qberty he was first
with the cloned titan board Smiley ) using Controller boards from
Jupiter/Saturn/Mercury/Neptune boards from day one to day last that were made to our 'evil' purposes

(digs out Voodoo for Dummies book....orders 5 gallon bucket of chicken entrails'  best to be prepared to 'appease'
the dark forces of this project I shall attempt Smiley

but again your firmware comes out I can no longer stall Sad

alas 'evil' never waits Smiley

pics shall be made available of

1) the fire damage/carnage etc (likely)

2) a working 'evil' newly hatched Titan Controller

sheesh I have to get out more Smiley

Lol!!! So.... Ive never quite figured this out, but why do you call me 'Glen Tarkin' ? LOL!

er oops....it would be nice if you could just change your name to that...less hassle in that I will likely 'finger flub' your
name in the future...just saying Smiley

6011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: February 24, 2016, 05:13:39 AM
Maybe. I have one incinerated Y adapter, showing that even that can't make up for a bad power supply or overloading or a connector that has been plugged and unplugged with the power on (thus causing sparks which cause little bits of resistance which warm up which.....)

Still, it is also true that there seem to be these islands of stability on Titans, and if that island is at 300-325mhz then you're kind of stuck with it.

Back to work here. Have two more boards to keep me busy over the next few days.

If ya ask me, based on my single Titan up in hosted up in Alaska .... I believe heat is the number 1 killer of these things.... that combined w/ the fact how close these things are pushed to the edge by users.

But, my Titan has ran for less than 75-80C on all DCDC's since the day it arrived in 2014 ... clocks 325mhz, volts set to -0.0366v or lower.
It did survive one PSU dieing - modular connector sockets on the PSU actually burned up. Titan connectors were fine.
Other than that, it has hashed along happily the whole time, just like it did since day 1.

I could be totally wrong tho =P

But yeah, its a hunch based off of seeing the settings and temps some users are pushing these things through. I mean YOWCH!...

yeah i essentially agree...BUT again....was told back in the day my temps/speed with overclock etc was just dandy (silly me) and that it has run more or less as a champ at 15 months i lose a bit of hash on a few dies (not counting the 2 dead dies on 2 dead cubes that never really worked) well hell.....so yeah I likely will pay the piper ..due to the only lately (last couple months) seeings how close to the edge I am

but to be fair...to the folk over the last year running these things ..esp us 1st batch titans with the bad dies which I and others were told 'specifically' to run full out at 325 0.0366 etc...well ..clueless as I was I ran mine full out all summer of 2015 with die rates in the low 90's some at 95c 96c

the guy I got the used Titan from Australia (way in the outback I kid you not) I think was away on work and eventually could NOT run them remote fire hazard...also had burned out 2 sets of psu's I think..thus how I got them in the panic sale of march 2015 on the expectation of all that NEW scrypt equip that never came to pass

I should post a pic of those cubes...run hard ..really hard...the cubes are faded with heat spots ...looks like the hood of a hot rod in Arizonna after racing all summer...kinda cool....

and these 4 cubes are MY MOST STABLE OF THEM ALL ...FULL OUT at 325 and 0.0366 since March w/o missing a beat

go figure

being electronic clueless is there some kind 'burn in' in that they ran too hot ...adapted and then now 'like' it that way?

anyway ..take advice here of everyone on how to tweak this stuff...the recent cube I got is set to 0.06xx volts at 300mh
and stable...so I left it....no idea how he got voltage that low at 300mh I've never had much luck

anyway my setup is probably an 'freak' setup and due to decent high end psu's as stated in other posts etc

but again .....I was 'assured' when I did over clock these to 325mh by I think it was Kurt at KNC? All was fine. They
could run easy and safe between 90c and 95c no problem and up to 100c...I kid thee not..what I was and sure others
were told....there is a reason that knc forums was 'yanked' imho ......sheesh...I saved a lot of stuff I should see if I
can dig out that email exchange (hope it was email ...coulda been knc forum but i don't thinks so) I'll look

I'm sure others on here were told the same back in the day as first batch titan owners.

I should have known better ..but in my case NO real issues of note...thus never had to delve into tweaking much (till lately a bit)

anyway got on a side note got 3 cubes 1 cube only 1 die works...1 cube the 300mh at low 0.06xx low voltage..go figure stable and another one in the mail supposedly fully working...so figure about 190mh to 200mh for 260 ltc (I hoard so on paper I sold LTC at it was almost exactly 750 usd)

my way around it 2 cubes and an extra die as over kill ...when stuff starts for 'fade' as i should 'mentally prepare for"  a way to compensate for the likely 'dribble down in hash' coming for the as of march 8th 16months on both Titans the new and used one...both are Nov 2014 units

so hell 'overcompensating' with equipment....better then fretting about it ...like most of my life issues if it bugs me enough

toss money at it..seems to work Smiley

But listen to folk here...very likely ...very soon I will be scrambling like everyone else with different voltage and hash settings
due to the 'heat debt wear and tear I have put these units thru.....but as yet ..still good (knock wood)

later

Perhaps, in which case the only Titans that can be fixed are the ones that smoke power connectors or blow out power supplies, both resulting in shorting on power-up. This is possible, although sad.

However other things just seem odd. For example: I have another dead titan board in for a review. It hashes on one die. Checking in bfgminer I see that only two dies ever respond, the other two do *nothing* no matter what. It has the jumper missing.

I wonder what happens if I put the jumper in. Will all four dies respond like insane children? Why would KNC do this?

Then I look at the supplies. Two are missing, so I check resistances on the chip side. Normally I see around 7.5 ohms if chip is good, 0 if shorted (to ground). On this one I see four power supplies reading 7.5,7.5,7.5,7.5. The other four read 7.5,600 and 7.5,140 ohms.

THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE! The supply outputs are ganged together in parallel. There is no way on EARTH that the outputs can read higher resistance. What the heck is going on?

I'll pull a supply and see. But I'll also pop in a temporary jumper and see what happens.

Just saying KNC being 'evil' and all ...could they have PULLED these resistors when they sent out those 1/2 hashing titan cubes for replacements for 1 dead cube trick..thus making sure ..as they 'claimed' at the time these were UNFIXABLE?

I don't do electronics...but could it be...something like this to make sure we could not hash with them 'after the fact'?

just a thought ..but again I can barely follow your electronics sometimes Smiley

6012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: February 24, 2016, 03:29:28 AM
@ Searing,  Yes but you have been running high end PSUs with your Titans the whole time. I think that makes all the difference.

thanks good to know.....but again likely we just plain need to replace all Y adapters after 1 year of use.....24/7 for
that much time is likely pushing it too fare....so to be safe 1 year probably should be tops maybe

again the stuff at 12 months (mostly knc) seems ok ..but the 3rd party stuff I have yet is still a bit warm to the touch
also about 12 months or less ...again the 15 months stuff (4 3rd party adapters) are GONE the hottest of the lot to
the touch

so......likely figure a year max then if still mining swap them All out with NEW would probably be the wise thing to do

and as you said if like a Corsair ax 1200i platinum helps high end psu's .....well I guess it could not all be luck Smiley

but 15 months was just probably to damn long to have them 'not' degrade as a y adapter of any kind knc or 3rd party

anyway always remember I know zip ...just tossing this stuff out there Smiley

They say (not sure who they are) after March 1st shipping...but we've heard that before on pre-orders.

Also an X11 ASIC miner could really really flood/dork/kill x11 coins like Titans killed Scrypt N coins ....just saying Smiley

those with more expertise chime in here

And on a non-related note, I just figured out how to fix a Titan cube with 2 dead dies to hash at full speed.

It's Miller time!

Not sure it is worth it to try. Cost and otherwise to send you this cube.

BUT have a KNC 'supposedly' 'unrepairable' 2 dies' titan cube. When kNC got swamp'd with RMA's they gave folk a 'choice' of taking 2 1/2 working cubes
to replace one fully NOT working RMA cube sent in. OR you could wait as they 'nicely' put it 4-6 weeks MAYBE get a new fully working cube.

(really got to hand it to these guys..just typing this they can still piss me off) Sad

anyway it is DOWN to one working die at 325mh. If you want the challenge and it don't cost too much. I can send it to you for bragging rights. Bet you could fix it Smiley

bet they did not even try back at that point of time on the 'swamp of' RMA returned cubes them first couple of months....back in the day of 2014.

Say a RMA  Cube with 2 working dies comes in for replacement likely went right out the door in
the above 2 for one deal on a different RMA ..bingo bango.....(ah...KNC evil sure works)

anyway just thought you'd get a hoot out of this Smiley

I have a cube with 2 bad dies also, got it on ebay so I knew in advance -- but would be fun to get em working

yep that's the one I'm talking about Smiley Then again all knc stuff is 'evil' thus they will try to make a 'break for it' and get lost in the mail ...effectively bricking themselves in the 'mail'
as a doorstop on some poor unsuspecting persons stoop......

again evil they are..Smiley

6016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hacking KNC Neptune / Jupiter / Titan miners back to life. Why not? on: February 23, 2016, 10:22:00 AM
Meantime I got these pictures in. This is a Titan with both jumpers in place:

I know this had all cores running at full blast because you can't set a power plug on fire like this...

With anything less than a full component of hashing power. :-)

Side note: Do you really need to run at full power? 275mhz isn't that bad....

well I got dies that 'won't hash' on anything less then 325 and 0.0366 now ..then again I have been running them 24/7 for 15 months that way (1st titan)
because till you guys came along..that is what KNC told me....ie you have 2 dead dies ...er too bad ...with our new firmware mod set all our stuff on adv page
to 325 and reboot...viola you are getting 306.1mh yea....unfortunately now that we have gotten you to 300mh and above we WON'T RMA your dead dies for
2 reasons 1) no rma's on cubes with only 1 dead die 2) no rma's on titans that get over 300mh

evil geniuses indeed

anyway mine have run so long and so hot on the 'dark side' not sure wtf to do...again did try to set some down....the cubes did not like that one lick...put them
back at 325 and 0.0366 regular settings no issues

so I don't do electronics..I assume all the above is just due to me having dumb luck?

edit: although me reading the above posts I should probably be more on the ball with connectors....all but 4 of mine now have been up at least 12 months or so (all knc)
the 3rd party orig titan 4 y adapters..i replaced with NEW KNC Y adapters...due to getting too warm imho ..thus the replacement with the 4 knc new connectors I had laying about
unused from when KNC finally got around to sending me some 4 months later..so will watch and stay ahead of the curve for now...and plan for replacing such...but again
cool so far and no browning on the cubes or the y adapters....looked.......just another thing to watch for as these 'evil' machines' try to brick themselves ...I mean we are talking 15 months here on what I expected to last until (with difficulty if not bricking themselves) best case at my most optimistic end of life was July 2015!

Every day's a 'gift' I guess Smiley Thanks for the info.

corrected the Title

So this ONLY does x11 or does it do scrypt too (runs back to read blurb)

yeah pre-orders eck!

I have read the other threads rather closely, but couldn't find anything about dual mining (exept the domain name of the seller).

The miner was pre-order, but, apparently, from today it's in stock  Grin

EDIT: I won't buy one myself, but i would defenatly use a reversible payment method for my first purchase (PP), that way you can at least claim your money back if the hardware doesn't work, or doesn't arrive

just found this and added it to my 1st post

http://cryptomining-blog.com/category/mining-hardware/

but hell as a pre-order they could even have a few and it could still end up being a 'scam' like bfl/alpha/flowertech /etc etc etc

Sad thing is I'm still making money as a 'home miner' LTC my CPA lady said I need to buy some equip to show some  more 'legitness' to IRS next year (equip deductions/revenue)
that or sell some LTC/BTC I've been holding.....I had to file as a biz my former bank in 2013 made a bank error sic'd SEC on me and so being a biz 10 days after the 2013 IRS guidelines came out was prudent indeed...all resolved when error pointed out and my newly legit biz cred was established (whew!)

but I got a refund from BFL thru LUCK (1 year 20 days late). Got a refund from Alpha Tech on 30% down (due to Amex going all Rabid on them lol ) Smiley

Got a pre-order from KNC promptly in 2013 ...late as hell on a Titan in 2014...way late 5 months

my luck on pre-orders has pretty much run out imho ....odds are still on this 2 out of 3 being a bfl/alpha/flowertech  wet dream ..just saying

even if they are 'legit' like KNC was...once they have your $$$ the need for speed is gone! (or like knc they use your neptune pre-order $$$ ..I really feel sorry for those guys
and buid a data hall first ..run it for 4 months then ship your machines last Sad

ROI as stated don't look that good either ..even with my 25% off equip deductions (biz) of which I can get 12.5% first year reaming next 4 years should I push the crypto biz that long

why can't they build some of these down the street so a guy could check them out Sad

Its legit but its overpriced and very slow.

what would be considered fast? I also can't tell if they are dual mining BTC/x11 or LTC/x11 or hell it is just the dualminer brand name and only x11

details I don't do x11 just looking at this from a 'new equip' point of view

will change the poll also on this info
6018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NEW Home Scrypt Miner for Sale DualMiner DM384M Legit or Not? on: February 23, 2016, 08:20:33 AM
isn't it an X11 miner, not Scrypt?

It's supposed to be the first DASH asic, but it's still in preorder (at least, it was yesterday)... I wouldn't preorder any asic, so i don't know if it's legit either

EDIT: it's supposedly in stock, there were a couple of threads discussing it.... Maybe somebody will buy one pretty soon?
BUT, the calculation shows that it has a 170+ days ROI at current diff and current price (that's the diff BEFORE an asic hit the market, so it's bound to rise pretty steep very soon), so beware!!!

Well is this frigging legit or not. Likely not. Just tossing it out here for the community to weigh in on.

Just in case it is legit? Anyone on here got any other links/info besides this sales thread?

Anyway I've NO IDEA IF THEY ARE LEGIT OR NOT ....Just asking in this thread folks Smiley
