In other words: Why do we need full nodes when we could have an agreed on past and lite nodes? We need full nodes because it is the only way to check the validity of new transactions by passing through all previous blocks. /pruned nodes would replace full nodes if your balance was really updated and linked to your address after each transaction. Keeping full nodes running is also needed to detect and prevent double spending which is not possible to do with pruned nodes. Now, what if a hard fork is needed and the blockchain should be forked at an old block that pruned nodes don't have a record for it! |

I think I made it clear in my previous reply that there is no bug in the forum and mods already know about them. The real question is: if mods don't want regular members to know about the existence of those accounts with special privileges, why they let them wear avatars? Yes, it's the same as always. Currently there are 3 patrollers and 20 non-patroller local moderators. (I saw someone say elsewhere that all mods have jurisdiction over newbies, but this isn't true.) At some points in the past there have been more patrollers, but that's not necessarily indicative of a shortage.

So we have two low ranked accounts with avatars which is logically impossible since they both joined after the merit system has been introduced. Also LoyceV noticed this: Do you have any idea why your profile says you have 0 posts, and your post history shows 3 posts? It seems to be a glitch in the forum software. From their post history, we may presume they know a lot about forum rules and they fight spammers so why 3dOOm would reply with a "shitpost" like this one to Cyrus thread? Also: - alanst sent only two merits, one to Cyrus and another to 3dOOm. -3dOOm received only two merits, one from alanst and one from Cyrus. -3dOOm received his two merits for a post in the Romanian local board. |

Second question: does the public key/address change everytime after a transaction or does it remain the same Ledger Nano S is a HD wallet, so yes, it will generate a new receiving address derived from the extended public key each time. You can use any generated address for multiple transactions though. The purpose from generating different addresses is to provide more privacy by making tracking your transactions harder. |

It would be great to see PMs classified under different folders, maybe a "spam" folder for PMs from newbies and "important" folder for PMs from users I had previous conversations with them.
Concerning Ads, I am totally against. It is a private space, if you want to advertise something you should ask for permission before.
It is impossible to prevent door-to-door sellers from knoking your door, but, at least, you are free to not open for them.

It is their personal lists and they are free to add whoever they want to it. Being added to someone's list with a ~ doesn't mean you are an untrustworthy member but simply they don't trust feedbacks you leave to other members. Personally, I think the trust lists of members shoud not be public to avoid sensitivity between members. Someone else will start a topic asking: "xyz, I thought we were friends, why didn't you include me in your trust list?". As an adult (I'm over 30) and the father of two children, I do not understand. I don't know what that have to do with the subject! Being an adult doesn't mean you can understand everything. |

How does DeepOnion make a hash of their blockchain to store on Bitcoin chain? They simply calculate the hash for the entire DeepOnion blockchain and register it in the Bitcoin blockchain by including the hash in a bitcoin transaction. As far as I know, the registration of the hash in the Bitcoin blockchain is done every month. |

بخصوص هذه النقطة قمت سابقاً بتجربة استعادة محفظة للتأكد تبين ان الاستعادة فقط تكون للعنوان الاول فقط
او العنوان الاساسي عند انشاء المحفظة و باقي العنوان لايتم استعادتها لذلك اريد التأكد من هذه المعلومة اذا احد جرب
اما بخصوص العناوين المستوردة بالاضافة imported بالتاكيد لايتم استعادتها

قم بالتحميل من الموقع الرسمي https://metamask.ioاختر المتصفح الذي تستخدمه و قم بالتحميل. العملية سهلة وغير معقدة لكن تأكد من التحميل من الرابط الموجود بالموقع الرسمي سيعرض عليك خياران الأول اذا أردت انشاء محفظة جديدة و الثاني لاستيراد محفظة قديمة  لانشاء محفظة جديدة قم بادخال كلمة سر قوية ثم واصل للمرحلة التالية بالموافقة على شروط الاستخدام و الخصوصية بعد ذلك ستحصل على مجموعة من الكلمات عليك حفظها في مكان امن حتى تستطيع من خلالها استرداد حسابك في أي وقت لاحق   عليك ادخال الكلمات بالترتيب المناسب هذا ما ستحصل عليه عند الضغط على ايقونة الاضافة  معطيات مهمة
تأكد من أنك متصل بالشبكة الرئيسية Main Ethereum Network يمكنك تفحص حسابك على etherscan من خلال الضغط على رمز الثلاث نقاط ثم view on etherscan ستفتح صفحة جديدة يمكنك استيراد حساب أو انشاء حساب جديد كل ما أردت ذلك كما يمكنك رؤية البرايفت كي الخاص بك مما يمنحك التحكم الكلي في حسابك يمكنك كذلك فتح حسابك على myetherwallet بدون الحاجة لادخال البرايفت كي استخدام الاضافة مع بقية المواقع

You can just lock your account if it's been hacked. If account is locked, hacker can't use it and there are no point to tag such account. So, I don't think this thread is really needed. If user can't lock his hacked account because he don't have acces to email of registration, it's less likely that theymos will recover such account as I understand.
But what if you didn't check your email within 14 days!! Your Bitcoin Forum (bitcointalk.org) email address was just changed from xx@xx to yy@yy by IP address xyz. If you did not do this, then you can visit the following link within 14 days in order to lock the account:...
After 14 days the link will expire and it will be impossible to lock the hacked account. OP offers a good alternative by red tagging the account after proving its ownership. |
