6021  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Btc price fall? on: December 26, 2015, 05:11:32 PM
We are going to see 300-400 before the end of 2015. We are also going to revisit 150 in January 2016. Good news comes in late Feb, early March.
It's highly unlikely to meet $150 in January. Why bother acting so bullish about February and March if you state that the price is going to meet such a low amount? At that point, something catastrophic must have happened. I doubt that people are going to dump to that level, unless pretty much everyone panic sells in the heat of the moment, which would only drive bitcoin away. It will take a lot of money and demand to revitalize it.
6022  Economy / Economics / Re: How to save money. on: December 26, 2015, 05:06:47 PM
money can not be saved, only can be invested and do ROI

but it is good idea to abandon bad consumption habit such as smoking  Grin

i dont invest i work and the only guys who can save its those o relly earn money btc and i smoke but ok i have several bad habbits and be single its one of them lol
You might want to consider possibly trying to "invest" in getting rid of that habit. Expensive "hobbies" will only strain your financial situation, not to mention if it's chronic that it would also cause health issues (which would cost money, if you live in the US).

It might be difficult to fight, but obviously it'll better your situation greatly if you manage to get rid of the habit.
6023  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: December 26, 2015, 05:04:41 PM
Even with the drop, I doubt it will go lower that $400. Nothing to worry about

Hm, you might have to rethink that theory of yours, we re getting close.

Well, we did see a tremendous increase at the start of December. It's likely that now that the holiday season is passing, people are beginning to sell off. The drop probably also incentivizes more people to panic sell.

:/

6025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any advantages from gambling? on: December 26, 2015, 02:15:40 AM
Of course, there are clear advantages to the topic of gambling! If you own the casino and have a house edge, then you have the advantage and will statistically profit.

You also have the pleasure of seeing recurring gamblers come back and drain their money, should you have the bankroll to cover it.

Unfortunately, life is not so cut and dry. One gambler may become lucky, or there could be a majority of winning gamblers in your casino. In the variance, you could lose it all, but always remember that the house has the advantage.
6026  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Becoming a Global Currency on: December 26, 2015, 02:08:23 AM
For the first time, when I look at the offers on LocalBitcoins.com, there are a half-dozen currencies ahead of the US dollar, offering a higher price for Bitcoin than US dollar users.

Euros, South African Rands, New Zealand Dollars, Hong Kong Dollars, Polish Zloty, Malaysian Ringgits.

It is no longer just the US, EU or even China driving adoption.  There is a market for Bitcoins in major countries all over the world.

You are right about adoption, but in most cases when it comes to selling our coins for higher prices in different currencies, we might not conclude who's a better trader and who's a scammer...
There are many PayPal cases being seen, I myself use PayPal to sell my BTC and get paid in PayPal, but I don't go for unbelievably high margins as they are most probably scammers, not in just USD, but in all the currencies...
If you are the seller of bitcoin and you let the buyer to pay using paypal you face the risk of chargeback or paypal dispute and claim. What is your experience with paypal payments in connection with bitcoin selling? Are there a lot of scammers or the majority of the users are OK?
I believe that as a way to combat PayPal chargebacks, that some buyers can pay using a certain "gift" form, which then prevents any chargebacks. I'm unsure as to whether this is true or not - I think so, as I was informed by a couple people, but if this is the case, then it is a way to solidify the PayPal situation.

Obviously, there's also reputable people to trade with.
6027  Economy / Economics / Re: Will You buy a pizza at 10,000 sat? on: December 10, 2015, 11:41:16 PM
While Bitcoin's price is still under $150,000; it would be suitable to buy a pizza. Makes sense, and it's not expensive at all. When you rise above that level the pizzas cost around what they do at this current point in time. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I think it wouldn't be too likely for BTC to hit that in my lifetime, but who knows?
6028  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best antivirus? on: December 04, 2015, 12:10:18 PM
pros don't need antivirus

How I wish I was that pro like you not to need an antivirus for my PC. Instead of saying you are a pro, do you have any guidelines on how to do it. I've been watching some videos how to do it using command prompt but it was not easy to get it since I never had a background on programming.
You don't have to use command prompt for anything. Just don't be stupid when you're on the Internet and you'll be fine.

I don't download random files and run them. It's not too difficult to go through some security checks to ensure that files are fine. (And don't go to shady websites, obviously)

Provided you with this accounts details.
Just to reference this as follow up:
Did not provide me with loan.
And you gave him your account information right away anyway? Did he forget to change the password?

What exactly happened?
6030  Economy / Gambling / Re: 💩 ShitDice - The WORST Bitcoin dicing site around. 💩 on: November 24, 2015, 11:14:58 PM
-snip-

If this is to fancy a background I can make something shittier. No worries! Maybe use it as a banner if so.. i dunno. Go for it.

Glad to support the cause!
I don't really think that he would put this shit on for the background picture.

If DiamondCardz does in fact, put this up, I will be pretty surprised. I personally am not one to advocate for posting up dickpics, even if they're made in MS paint.
6031  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM | No.1 for Cryptocurrency Gambling | Provably Fair | 1 BTC BONUS on: November 23, 2015, 10:53:04 PM
Just FYI to all you brown nosing suck up morons...

The probability of hitting 21 steak loss, and again it wasn't over yet as far as I know, I ran out of coin..  ARE...

1 in 2,097,152

Then, I played after that for about 15 minutes before hitting a 19 loss streak... probability is ...

1 in ~500,000

So go take a math class before you start brown nosing and thinking your super cool and smart by defending a godamn rigged site that cheats people otu of their money when they are just trying to gamble and have a good time.   Ya stupid dumb fucks.

Can you tell us the full bet history? You should be able to realize that although the chance of having a 21 loss streak from the start is 1 in 2097152, the more you bet, the higher likelihood of hitting a losing streak.

Do you know about the gambler's fallacy, by the way?
6032  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: November 23, 2015, 10:44:58 PM
I have a question about Satoshidice's promotion.

There is 1800 BTC house profit for Satoshidice, so does Satoshidice spend money on advertising and marketing, does it allocate some of it's profits in a marketing fund for promotion?

Depends on what do you mean by promotions as well. Just because you never see their banner doesnt mean that they dont actually have banner any where else. In fact they do have promotions of 0.4 / day divided for each of 4 their leaderboard of the day if you check closely

I`m not saying they dont have any marketing at all, I`m saying their marketing is very low profile, and other casinos far outmarket them.

The leaderboard prize is more like a prize not a promotion tool. Buying ads and advertising Sdice on faucet pages is more to what I refer to as promotion.I`m sure there are many gamblers that await to play here but they dont know about Sdice yet.
The leaderboard prize is an incentive to play on SatoshiDice, but its house edge is pretty high compared to other dice sites. It's good for investors, but not for players.

They also don't really NEED advertising as they're one of the oldest gambling sites established for Bitcoin. (Though, it's also good to have some marketing)

So, right now I'm assuming that NO pages are left available anymore?

Looks like I'm a little late to the party. Bitspill, do you have any more PDFs available that you might want people to retype in the future?

As per my last post here, i am also interested to see if there's additional files available for processing.
I'm getting a bit confused as to what's claimed and what's not, but if there's a PDF available, please let me know, or point me to the post that shows it at least :/
From what I've seen with Bitspill's last post about the availability of the pdfs, and the replies soon after that, no more posts are available.

I'm not 100% certain on this until he replies and confirms this, but if it's the case, then we'll have to wait.

Hopefully, there will be more content for new members to start retyping. I know I would do so for any old document; I type at a pretty fast speed, so it won't take too much effort.

6035  Other / Meta / Re: account recovery staff on: November 23, 2015, 02:35:32 AM
it is possible but theymos have to give them permission to change/view passwords and view IPs and other stuff to see if an account was indeed hacked.. very huge responsibility.
They wouldn't need to have permission to change or view the passwords (and hopefully Bitcointalk does not save the passwords so that they can be viewed, just a salted hash because otherwise that would be a huge security risk). They would only need to be able to send out the recovery emails, which are already done automatically when someone requests a password reset via email. Other stuff though for determining whether an account was hacked, that would mean they have some access to more stuff like logs, but I don't think it would be terribly huge of a responsibility. I don't think they would have access to PMs or access to the database itself since that wouldn't really be necessary.
There must be a validation process, though. I would also like to say that there isn't really a need for a specific staff role of recovering accounts.

You can't possibly think that there are enough people losing their accounts for this to be necessary to come up, right? Recovering accounts - the process, does take a lot of time and effort, but being useful only for recovering accounts on BCT is kind of a waste.

Encrypted also brought up that they would need permission. We already have trustworthy staff members to sort out these situations; having people specifically for the role does call in some concerns with power...

I don't know, though. I'm just some guy on the Internet.
6036  Other / Meta / Re: The most common questions regarding Bitcointalk - An FAQ on: November 23, 2015, 02:29:08 AM
Perhaps something about spamming should be covered, given the sheer amount of people who post a ridiculous amount of crap in Off-Topic, Gambling (oh dear god the threads), Economics even.

Something small, like guidelines for the content that they post.

I mean... Seeing the same thing every single post on a thread with like 40 pages isn't exactly great. (YoBit people)
6037  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if we sit at $310-$340 for 2 more years? on: November 23, 2015, 02:24:11 AM
Staying at $310 to $340 would not really incentivize miners to continue, once the halving continues.

The price will not stabilize at that amount, for sure. It'll either increase from the increased activity surrounding the halving, or it will decrease when people realize that miners dropped out.

Two years is a lot of time.
6038  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Gold the root of all evil? on: November 23, 2015, 02:20:58 AM
So people who deny gold has a charm effect on humans please watch these pictures for a few seconds:

Now tell me that it doesnt invoke greed in you?

Just when you see these shiny bars your mind triggers and starts producing adrenaline and other chemicals that trigger your "greed instinct", and make you want to grab them out of your monitor Cheesy

You see gold has a charm, and that charm can be dangerous.
Shiny things induce pleasure.
Your point is only due to the fact that we know gold has greater value than many of the other common metals.

The scarcity of it also adds to what we know so far about it; of course you would want to get those gold bars!

If I show a kid who has NEVER seen anything except for a wall for 5 years a gold bar, they'll be interested by it! They'll have the same interest as if I show them a shiny silver bar. Or a copper bar. Or even glass.

Gold only has its "charm" because it is generally known that gold is valuable.
(It also looks nice and smooth)
6039  Economy / Gambling / Re: ♛ ♚ ♔ FastCoin Dice \ Lose A Cent, Make A Dollar! / 0.9% HOUSE EDGE! ♔ ♚ ♛ on: November 23, 2015, 01:59:03 AM
So... What you're doing is basically making another "Untitled Dice" script dice game.

You have no background. You have no incentive for others to bet here (other than the 0.9% house edge, which some sites have even less - 0.1% on Sharpdice and Dontplayhere) and it doesn't even look nice.

Why not spend some time making the dice site look a little better, instead of making it seem like it was done in 10 minutes? There won't be a reason for anybody to gamble here.

"Any advice to start gambling?"

Well, here's a simple answer to your wonderfully inquisitive question. Let me create an exceptionally great explanatory essay for what you must do when you wish to start off with gambling.

Don't.
